Draken and mikey had reported the case to the police and eiji was informed later on. Unfortunately, a storm had come and eiji couldn't drive because it was highly dangerous and he couldn't get into a nearby train station.
So shio would have to spend the night at the sano's who were kind enough to let her stay.
Eiji was glad about that, but that's not the case with izana. He was filled with anxiousness when he heard that she was staying with a certain someone with the name sano manjiro, what if that thing becomes shio's favorite? What about me? He had never liked mikey. Not one bit. Especially he got shio now.
Draken had gone back to his home before the storm and after buying some dorayaki for mikey and also a box of milk and melonpan for shio.
Mikey had adored shio and was holding her hand the entire walk to his house.
Opening the door, a blonde girl looked at their little guest in awe, ❝aww, you're so cute i want to keep you in my basement♡❞ she cooed.
❝w-what?❞ shio looked at the older girl weirdly.
❝what?❞
❝that's creepy, emma. This is shio-chin.❞ mikey introduced them to each other.
Emma nodded and grabbed shio from mikey's hold, making the boy pout.
❝hehe, she's so cute mikey! Let's keep her!❞
❝i know, right? I kept telling ken-chin that but he said no 'cause it's illegal.❞ mikey scowled.
❝that's because it is.❞ grandpa sano who suddenly showed up said.
❝omg grandpa stop appearing so suddenly all the time pls.❞ emma said.
Shrugging, the old man gives shio a smile. ❝anyways, let's get inside. It looks like it's gonna rain soon.❞
Getting inside the house, shio looked around. Her eyes caught one picture frame when mikey and emma was still younger, with a black haired guy who had similar eyes to mikey behind them.
❝oh, that's me and mikey's big bro, shinichiro. He's dead though.❞ emma said with a shrug.
Shio just nodded.
❝say, shio-chan...your eyes seem familiar..❞ emma said.
❝hm?❞
Shrugging, emma said ❝your eyes seem kinda similar to a guy i know...he's names kurokawa izana..i don't really know where he is now though. I would've think you guys were definitely related if-❞
Hearing izana's name from emma, shio jumped up and down slightly, her hands balled into fists in a cheering motion and a bright aura around her. ❝nii-chan!❞
❝wait what?❞
❝that's nii-chan's name!❞
❝so wait, you're his sister?❞
❝no, he's my older cousin,❞
❝but you think of him as an actual brother.❞ emma nodded with a smile.
❝what are you guys talking about?❞ mikey joined the talk.
❝oh, apparently shio-chan is izana's lil cousin.❞
Mikey gave a confused ❝huh? Who's that? Your boyfriend?❞
Emma looked at him in disgust, ❝wha- no! We were kinda briefly raised together or something so he's like my brother...i think...i don't really remember that much since i was still really small.❞
❝oh...does that mean he's my brother too?❞
❝kinda sorta...idk mikey, this family tree of ours is confusing as heck.❞ emma sighed.
❝i know, right?❞ mikey nodded.
Shio looked at both of them in confusion. Sipping on the box of milk draken bought for her, she sat herself on a nearby sofa.
❝wait, does that mean shio-chin's a part of our actual family too?❞ mikey's eyes sparkled.
❝i think so.❞
The two blondes looked at shio who was calmly sipping on her milk box, listening to their grandpa's rant about life.
Looking at each other, the two siblings grabbed their grandpa to another room and talked with him.
Shio's mind were somewhere else, munching on her melonpan. I wanna go home....i wanna hug paul...shion's probably dead...i wanna play uno with kakucho again and go an adventure with nii-chan..she sighs sadly.

The next day, eiji had been driving dominic toretto on fast and furious with izana in the other seat who had dark circles because he can't sleep worrying about shio liking mikey more than him and also cause he's angry that the thing was breathing in the same air as shio.
Founding the sano's house, eiji knocked on the door loudly. ❝this is eiji, oPEN UP! WHERE'S MY BABY?!❞
Grandpa sano opened the door and the two adults greeted each other before eiji rushed inside the house to find his child.
Looking at the other guest, he gave the boy a smile but izana did not have any interest on the sano's at all. Giving the old man a cold glance, he gave him a nod and quickly tries to find shio inside.
Eiji was hugging shio in a tight hug, tears streaming down his face, ❝ohmygod shiooooo your dad was so worried about you! I missed you so much!❞ he smooched shio's cheeks a dozen times.
Shio giggled, ❝i missed you too, dad!❞
Izana gave a fake cough, ❝aww, what about me?❞
Shio gasped, she got out of eiji's grip and ran to izana, ❝nii-chan!❞
Laughing, izana did what eiji did to shio as well. ❝I'm not gonna let shion look after you again.❞ he sighs.
❝by the way, how's paul?❞
Shrugging, izana replied ❝he's a sadboy now.❞
❝what's that?❞
❝don't worry about it, and tomorrow I'll give you that ice cream sandwich i promised you when you were sick last time, okay?❞
❝yay!❞ shio cheered.
Feeling other presence inside the room, izana looked behind his shoulder and see emma and mikey.
Emma and mikey gives izana a wide smile, but izana just glared at them and huffed, ❝uncle, shio, let's go home.❞
Mikey looked at both of them, ❝hey, you can't just take shio-chin away that quickly!❞
Izana rolled his eyes. ❝yes, i can.❞
They both squinted their eyes at each other. ❝don't you dare.❞
❝ha, watch me.❞
Eiji smacked the back of izana's head and grandpa sano smacked mikey's. ❝ow!❞ they both hissed.
Mikey pouted, ❝come on, brother. Sharing is caring right? Shio-chin like my sis too!❞
Izana laughs mockingly, ❝brother, huh? Do keep in mind that I'm not blood related to you people, at all. And shio's blood id related with mine, so she's my sis, not yours.❞
Shio doesn't really notice the tense interaction going on as she was focused more on eiji and grandpa sano peeling and giving her fruits to eat.
❝..huh?❞ emma looked at izana in confusion.
Izana stared down on her, ❝aww, did shinichiro told you guys I'm your brother too?❞
Looking at their crestfallen faces, izana laughed. ❝what a big ass lie, am i right?❞
❝you sano's should stay away from my shio.❞
Mikey looked at izana with a blank gaze. Last night they were talking about him and when he sneaked out to shinichiro's old bike shop, he had read the letters exchanged between izana and his big brother.
He can tell from those letters that shinichiro thinks of izana as a brother. So even though izana said that they're not blood related at all, mikey thinks that it's fine and he wouldn't mind having a brotherly relationship with him.
But izana was being difficult. And he was told to stay away from shio? Not a chance, he still want to spend time with the little kid.
❝what are you going to do about it?❞
❝i'll make sure you can't see her anymore.❞ izana glared at him. ❝i wouldn't mind destroying your gang with mine just for my sis, mikey.❞
Emma looked at both of them with worry, ❝guys...let's stop this...❞
The two boys were about to throw a punch when shio suddenly sticked to the side izana's leg, not noticing anything weird with their interactions. ❝nii-chan, dad said we need to go home now.❞
Izana's glare dissappeared when he looked over to shio. Smiling, he grabbed shio's hand. ❝let's go home then.❞
Nodding, shio looked over to mikey and emma and gave her thanks, in which the two sano siblings sadly smiled.
Kakucho had given shio a big hug when she arrived. He even bought her pop tarts and soft breads from the bakery earlier in the morning.
Paul had jumped to shio from his sad position. His strength had made shio fell down but the girl was just laughing with happiness at Paul's actions.
Though paul felt like was being glared at later on.
❝izana, let's talk.❞ eiji suddenly said. He might be focusing his attention on his daughter earlier in the sano's, but that doesn't mean he didn't caught on what the two boys were arguing about.
Seeing his uncle's serious face, izana stood up and went into another room with him for a talk that he knew what it's going to be about.
Shio looked at her dad and her cousin's interaction in wonder. Why so serious?
Kakucho felt the atmosphere between the two and decided to take shio's attention elsewhere. ❝hey, let's play uno.❞
When the word uno was heard, shio nodded excitedly, ❝yes, yes!❞
Kakucho chuckled and was about to grab the cards when suddenly there was a knock on the door.
Opening the door, his eyes met with the haitani brothers.
❝shi-chan~ i was so worried about you! Here, i bought you safe muffins this time!❞ ran pushed kakucho away from his sight and quickly rushed to shio, offering the most definitely safe muffins.
Kakucho and rindou sighed.
❝those are definitely safe muffins right?❞
Rolling his eyes, rindou replied
❝ 'course it is.❞
Kakucho just nods, grab the uno cards and went to sit in front of shio who was munching on the muffins from ran while still being hugged by him.
❝ran, rin, wanna play uno?❞ shio asked both of them.
The two nodded as a yes.
❝HAHA TAKE THAT, PLUS TWO!❞ ran laughed as he slammed the card down.
❝NO YOU TAKE THAT, PLUS FOUR!❞ rindou slammed his +4 card down.
But they suddenly remember that shio's turn was after rindou's. They didn't want to make shio sad after the kidnapping, at first they want to purposely loose but but they were into the game too much after a few rounds.
Flinching, the haitanis and kakucho looked over to shio in worry.
❝hehe, uno reverse♡❞ shio laughed as she slammed the reverse card down. ❝uno game!❞
They had played uno more than 10 rounds and the winner is either kakucho or shio all the time.
And the muffins are safe this time, thankfully.
