"what's going on?" sofia asked vinnie, her laying on his bed at his parents home, whilst he was sat in his gaming chair "you've been really focused on your phone these past few minutes... is there any problem?" she raised her eyebrows in concern
"oh, no. don't worry about it." vinnie replied, looking up at her "it's just a friend from los angeles asking to hang out. i was telling her i'm in seattle now."
"oh." sofia raised her eyebrows in surprise "who's the girl?" she asked, trying to pretend she didn't really care about it
"it's nailea, she's a tiktoker like me." the boy explained "and, also a youtuber. we met last year, i think... i'm not really sure. you might know her because she's best friends with larray."
"nailea devora? i used to watch her videos all the time, she's such a mood." sofia tried to hide her jealousy by putting on a smile "i didn't really imagine you being friends with her, to be honest."
"we started talking more because our fans were shipping us, so pretty much we were joking about it." vinnie said, looking at his ex girlfriend
"right..." sofia nodded her head, not really knowing what else to say "she might be the only girl your fans like, i imagine. they are pretty rough on some of the girls you're seen with."
"yeah, i don't know why they liked nailea so much." vinnie shrugged his shoulders "are you staying the night here?" he asked, since it was almost eleven pm and their parents were ok with them sleeping in the other's house
"i guess." she replied, suddenly feeling umconfortable as her mind kept comparing her to nailea "is it ok with you if i stay?"
vinnie furrowed his eyebrows, not understanding why she would even ask that. back when they were dating, she knew he got disappointed when she didn't spend the night. it was something that bought them even closer in their relationship.
"of course it's ok, sofi." the boy got up from his chair, laying in bed next to her, burrying his head on the side of her neck "i love when you stay." he pressed a light kiss where his mouth was touching
sofia started playing with his hair with one of her hands, the other one finding his and interlacing their fingers together "that's good." she blushed, feeling thankful he couldn't see it "i'll stay, then."
"tomorrow i want to take you out on a date, ok?" the boy lifted his head, looking at sofia, smiling when she nodded her head "i can't wait."
the next night, the tiktok boy observed sofia from her bed as she tied her sandals. they'd be going to a nice restaurant in seattle to enjoy their time together.
after she finally finished getting ready, the
couple left her house, him having borrowed his brother's car so he could drive them to the place, instead of her having to do it. the restaurant they chose was a perfect spot to have dinner without being recognised, seeing it was a place not many young people hung out at.
arriving there, they checked for the reservation the boy had done the night before and, after confirming it, they were directed to their table. it was in one of the quietest areas of the place, which they were grateful for.
"what are we ordering?" vinnie asked, checking the menu for any meals he knew she enjoyed "i'm thinking fettucini pasta with filet mignon?"
"oh my god, yes." sofia replied excitedly "you know me very well, i'm proud." she joked, making the boy laugh
vinnie ordered their food, then turned the attention back to the girl in front of him "being honest with you, i still can't believe everything that has been going on. not only i can kiss you as many times as i want, because we're talking, but also you're moving to la."
"i can hardly believe it myself." she confessed, smiling happily "everything just took a turn. i wasn't expecting to see you again after our break up, if i'm being honest. i know we'd still have the same friends, but like, i could always avoid you."
"well, then i'm thankful for thomas or else we wouldn't be here right now." vinnie smiled back at sofia "god, i didn't know how much i missed you until i saw you at the hype house."
"i felt the same way. i was so sure i had kind of forgotten about you, then i see you again and my head's like 'oh no, baby, you're still into this guy.'" the girl sighed "but i mean, if you hadn't stayed around after that, we wouldn't be here now. it could've been a one time thing."
"i hadn't really thought about that..." the tiktok star muttered, knowing she wasn't lying "i'm glad i decided to go to your graduation. imagine if i hadn't?"
sofia smiled at him, feeling just so happy everything was working out for them. she did not expect, at all, to go back to her ex, but here she was. and, in her opinion, it was the best decision she could've made.
