Ava quietly walks into the bunker late night after seeing the Impala in the drive way that night. She really hope the boys were sleeping or she would be feeling Dean Winchester wrath if her father caught her. She creeped open the door quietly and made her way down the stairs she squeak a little when the lights turned on and she found her Uncle with his hand on his hip after turning on the lights starring up at her

Ava: *gulps* uh... hi Uncle Sam... I was just going out for late night jog
Sam: in that?
Ava: *looks at her outfit* okay you caught me
Sam: Ava, do you have any idea what time it is?
Ava: *checks watch* 11:30
Dean: Ava Mary Winchester!

They both jump as they heard Dean voice coming from the other room.

Ava: *eyes widen and quickly puts on hoodie* dad's awake?
Sam: of course he is, we both come from a hunt to find you no where to be found, not a note nothing. I told him to go cool it before you came in. No sense of hiding underneath your clothing
Dean: *comes out and cross arm*
Ava: hi daddy *waves*
Dean: don't hi daddy me, you're in a lot of trouble missy
Ava: please dad, I'm sorry. It won't happened again
Dean: I don't want to hear it. You do this every time! You never listen to us, do you!
Ava: *looks down* I just wanted to have some fun! You and Uncle Sam never let me go out! I feel so trapped in bunker not being able to do anything! I hate it here
Dean: *points finger at her* well you're going to have to suck it up
Sam: Dean...
Dean: no Sam, I'm tired of her excuses and behavior. First she deliberately disobey us by going out knowing we were on a demon hunt, she know she is target. I wont ever forgive myself when her and Cassie got kidnapped by Crowley. I'm not letting that happened again on my watch. I would never forgive myself for having to leave her alone on earth when my family was attacked by vampires. It's my fault my daughter doesn't have a mother anymore *turns away from them*

Ava heart broken, she has never heard her dad talk this way.

Ava: dad it isn't your fault
Dean: *tears slowly fall down his eyes* I sometimes feel like it is, you would still have your mother if I wasn't to busy saving the world
Ava: *face him, looks broken as she sees him cry* dad. It isn't your fault, you were born to protect the world. I was just caught in the middle of
everything. I didn't know you felt this way, if I have known, I would have never snuck out. I'm sorry *hugs him* please dad
Dean: *pulls her close to him* I love you baby, it's just scares me when you do reckless things
Ava: it won't happened again
Dean: your right, it won't happened again, cause your grounded
Ava: but dad-
Dean: no buts- you're lucky your uncle convinced me to ground you other wise your butt would have been tanned the minute you walked through the door. You know I do not approve of the outfit, and make up, where did you get it? Cause I sure as hell didn't buy it for you
Ava: *nervous* Jodie... she gave it to me for my 14th birthday
Dean: of course she did, now go to bed and take off the make up, I better not see you be wearing make up again
Ava: yes sir *starts to leave and turns around* how long am I grounded for?

Both the brothers looked at each other and like they were communicating through their eyes, Sam said.

Sam: depends on your behavior, your dad and I need to be able to trust you to be by yourself while we are on hunts
Ava: great... well I'm off to bed, goodnight boys
Both: goodnight
Ava: *leaves*
Dean: *sighs* why does she has to grow up so fast. One minute she's my little girl and the next she wants to act like she's grown. Cassie would have killed her if she knew our daughter was out dressing like that. I'm going to have to talk to Jodie about what she buys my daughter
Sam: speaking of Jodie, she needs our help with a vampire case well at least she think it is
Dean: and when were you going to tell me?
Sam: when you calmed down, you were too worked up about Ava missing. I told her we will be there tomorrow
Dean: *scoff and takes sip of his beer* looks like we are going to Sioux Falls
Sam: what about little miss trouble maker, we can't leave her alone, she's grounded
Dean: will take her with us, keep an eye on her, make sure she can follow rules
Sam: sounds good to me

The next day.

The Winchester family arrive at Sioux Falls police station.

Ava: why do I have to tag along, couldn't you just leave me in the bunker
Sam/Dean: no
Ava: why not?
Dean: because Sam and I can't trust you right now
Sam: and we couldn't find you a last minute baby sitter
Ava: baby sitter? You got to be kidding me
Dean: your Uncle and I had babysitters growing up
Ava: really? Did she find out what you do?
Dean: she had to, plus your grandfather didn't have a choice he didn't trust Sam and I alone. I was too young to look after Sam
Sam: she was like the best baby sitter we ever had. We actually did a case with on her daughter once because she was being haunted by a ghost
Dean: that was before Sam got body napped by a teenager
Ava: body napped?
Sam: *glares at Dean* I think we said enough Dean
Dean: right...

Ava: *roll eyes* I'm not a baby anymore boys. I'm 14 now, I can handle stuff like this
Sam: *scoff* sure you could

They see Jodie waiting on them and they all got out. Ava crossed her arm annoyed as they welcome Jodie who had a broken arm.

Jody: You boys are a sight.
Sam: Jody. How's the shoulder?
Jody: Eh, only aches when it rains. How you boys been?
Dean: Peachy.
Sam: Touch and go.
Jody: I know the feeling. *to Ava* Aren't you going to say hi?
Ava: *annoyed* hi Jody, ow *rubs head* what was that for!
Sam: don't be rude
Ava: I wasn't being *sees look and mumbles* sorry Jody
Jody: it's fine, why is she here? Shouldn't she be in school
Sam: she's homeschooled and she's grounded so she had to tag along
Jody: ah, that explains her tone
Ava: *roll eyes*
Dean: So, what you got for us?
Jody: Ava turn your head please
Ava: what? It's not like I haven't seen a dead body before
Dean: *gives look* little girl, keep it down
Ava: dad you saw me kill a vampire with my own hands.
Dean: yeah without our permission, now do as you're told and go walk over their for a bit
Ava: *huff* fine...

Ava goes away frustrated and Dean said.

Dean: teenagers, am I right?

Both Sam and Jody shook their heads and Jody turns around and opens the truck of her car and the dead vampire lays inside next to his head. Sam looks quickly around and then bends down and presses his finger to the gum of the vampire. A vamp tooth pushes out.

Sam: Yeah, uh, that's a vamp, all right.
Dean: I don't know, Sammy. Looks like Jody might not need our help anymore.
Sam: Oh, they grow up too fast.
Dean: Don't they?
Jody: Yeah, joke all you want. There's more where this came from.
Dean: More?
Jody: My men brought in a runaway last night. There's no I.D. on her – nothing on her, actually, except for a bus ticket out of Nebraska. Total Jane Doe. She won't even give me her name. Girl's basically feral. She's got zero manners, didn't even thank me for saving her. Anyhow, this thing went to plenty of trouble to get at her. And to hear him tell it, the "others" will want her at least as bad as he did.
Sam: Sounds like a nest
Dean: Yeah.
Jody: Nest? I'm guessing that's not half as cute and cozy as it sounds.
Dean: Oh, I'm afraid not.

In the jail room, Sam is doing a gum check on the girl while Dean looks on. Ava was doing her school work at a desk. When he finishes, Sam steps behind her and shakes his head at Dean in answer to their unspoken question.

Girl: Wilson and Fisher? You two are FBI, then I'm Taylor Swift. That wasn't a dental I.D. It was a fang check. You're hunters.

Ava: *laughs* I like her
Dean: Ava!

Ava quickly turns around in her seats after being yelled at by Dean making Alex jump a little.

Once Dean looked satisfied he turned back to Alex.

Dean: And you're alive because, uh, hunters trained the sheriff. I think the first words out of your mouth should be a thank you. So, who were you to this vamp, anyway? Hmm? What's so special about you? Is there a nest?

As Dean is asking the questions, Sam notices some scars on the girl's neck. He goes to look closer but she sees him watching and shrugs her shirt collars higher to cover them. Then Jody opens the door and pops her head in...

Jody: Sorry to interrupt. We got a match on her DNA.
Dean: *to Ava* behave

Ava rolled her eyes and Sam pats her head as they made their way out.

In the hall outside the cell room.

Jody: Annie Jones. Reported abducted outside of Kenosha in '06. Raised by an elderly grandparent. No living kin. You think the vamps are the ones who took her?
Dean: Eight years is a long time for a human to live with vampires without getting killed or turned.
Jody: You're the experts, but there was something...familiar about the way this vamp talked to her.
Sam: Jody's right. And she had scars on her neck, feeding scars. Uh...They're layered, as if they'd been built on for years.
Dean: So she's a blood slave. We've seen it before – vampires keeping people as pets, human feedbags. Sometimes these slaves...
Sam: Stay loyal to their captors.
Dean: Yeah.
Sam: Right
Jody: So...This girl's not talking 'cause she's got a case of...what? Vampiric Stockholm syndrome?

Dean: She's protecting the nest.

Back in the interrogation room.

Sam: So, you feel a debt.
Dean: They gave you a home, raised you
Sam: Annie, we get it. Loyalty is a very powerful thing.
Annie: My name is Alex.
Sam: No, it's not. Your name is Annie Jones.
Dean: Those vampires stole you. They're monsters, Annie.
Alex: Alex.
Dean: And they didn't love you. They loved your blood. They fed on you.
Alex: I fed them. My choice. My brothers – they brought me food when I was hungry. So when they struck out on a hunt, I fed them. They're my family.
Sam: Okay, you care about them, but, Alex... There's a reason you decided to run away.
Alex: It was time... to move on and get out on my own.
Dean: And how do you think that decision is gonna sit with the rest of the nest? One of them already pursued you. You think when the rest of them find out that you left that they're just gonna shrug and cut their losses?
Sam: You lived with them for years. They've tasted your blood. They have your scent down cold. I mean, how far can you run and for how long?

A single tear runs down Alex's face.

Dean: You didn't think this out, did you? What would happen, who might get hurt – your, uh, "brother," for one.

Alex: His name's Cody. And she killed him. [motions to Jody who is looking on]

Dean: Because of a choice you made. These are the consequences.
Ava: seriously you guys didn't even give him a chance it's always shoot first ask later
Dean: *slams hand on table and gives daughter look* hey! What are you supposed to be doing?
Ava: *squirms under his gaze* school and observing
Dean: exactly so keep your mouth shut during an investigation. If I have to stop you again, I'm going to pull you out and you and me are going to have a one on one conversation *glares her down*
Ava: *gulps* yes dad

Once Dean took his eyes off her, Ava relaxed and turned back in her seat embarrassed.

Sam: You got two options – them or you. And we can help you. We can keep you safe. But you have to help us.
Dean: Where's the nest?
Alex: I can't. After what's happened...Mama finds me, she'll kill me.

Alex is crying from fear as the Winchesters exchange looks with the sheriff.

Later, Sam is doing some research on the computer in the sheriff station. Jody stands by lost in thought as Dean walks up with a fresh cup of coffee.

Dean: Mills, you okay?
Jody: No wonder she didn't thank me. That creep was her brother. I'm fine. You know, mostly, I'm just – I'm hung up on the name. Alex and Annie – they're so close already. Why'd they change it?
Sam: Okay, so, we know from her ticket that Alex hopped a bus out of O'Neill, Nebraska, right?
Jody: Mm-hmm.
Sam: Obviously, it'd be better to go in with a firm location, but the town ain't that big. There are no caves or other natural hiding places.
Dean: All right, so go in, canvass it cold.

Sam: Well, I worked together a short list of possible nest locations. Uh, there's an empty fire station, four or five derelict homes. Nothing we couldn't hit in a day.

Dean: Okay.

The brothers get up to leave and Jody follows them.

Once they left Alex tapped on Ava's shoulder.

Ava: I'm not supposed to be talking to you
Alex: I know, but you seem to be the only one who understands
Ava: sorry about my dad, he can be a hard ass sometimes. He doesn't get teenage girls. And you think he would know better when raising me
Alex: how do you deal with that?
Ava: patience my friend
Alex: and Jody, can I trust her?
Ava: yeah she's very nice, she's like a second mom to me. I always come to her for girl advice that the boys can't handle
Ava: what about your mom? Don't you live with your mom?
Ava: *tears come to eye at the mentioned of mom and wipes it away* I rather not talk about it
Alex: it's okay, I understand

With the adults:
Dean: You sure you're all right to babysit by yourself?
Jody: Oh, well, girl's a flight risk, not exactly friendly, but I think I can handle babysitting detail.

The were talking about Sam and Dean allowing Jody to watch over Alex.

Sam: The station's been made. It might be worth heading upwind for a while. I mean, vamps are trackers.
Jody: Terrific.
Sam: Yeah.
Jody: Well, I've got an old family cabin outside of town.
Dean: That'll work.
Jody: Okay. Well, shouldn't raise too many eyebrows, me being gone for a day.
Dean: Maybe, but you, uh, sure you don't want backup?
Jody: You want me to enlist my men in a protection detail against vampires? Frank's still in the dark about what hit him last night. The guy still has nightmares about the barn episode of Walking Dead. They're good cops. They're not ready for this.
Sam: Jody, in your late-night reading, did you ever come across anything about Dead Man's blood?
Jody: Mnh-mnh.
Sam: It takes vamps down like a horse tranq.
Jody: I would not say no to some of that. I mean, not that I'll need it. You guys are gonna get the jump on these vamps and be back here before they even realize their kin's missing, right?

The boys nod and Dean entered the room.

Dean: Ava let's go
Ava: yes sir

Ava grabbed her school and shoved them in her backpack she waved by to Alex and headed out with her dad.

Ava: *hugs Jody* bye Jody
Jody: bye Ava, see ya later. Take care of the boys for me
Ava: I will

Sam held out his hand to his niece and she grabbed it and the boys wave goodbye to Jody before heading out themselves.

Later.
A woman walking out of a bus station and locking up. She is on the phone..

Woman: Well, it's not my fault. Well, Ralph didn't show up for work today. I had to pull a double shift. I'll be home soon.

She hangs up and walks to her car. As she pulls her keys out someone steps up close behind her. She jumps a mile and swings around

Woman: Connor, you scared the–
Connor: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snuck up on you like that. It's just, you haven't seen Alex around, have you?
Woman: Uh, your sister. No, I can't say I have. Sorry.
Connor: Huh. So you didn't sell her a bus ticket out of town?
Woman: Did I help your shut-in kid sister get away from her weird, scary-ass squatter family? Answer's still "no".
Connor: So you're saying Ralph lied to us? 'Cause he said...that you sold her a ticket...right before we killed him.

The woman panics and turns and runs but doesn't get very far before another woman steps from the shadows into her path.

Mama: You calling my family weird? Oh, honey, you have no idea.

Mama bares her vampire teeth and the woman screams.

Ava was staying the night at Jody's cabin with Jody and Alex while the boys went to go check the abandoned house.

Jody: Ava honey, can you help me put the groceries away. Your Uncle said you were supposed to help around the house
Ava: *groans* do I have to Aunt Jody?
Jody: *cross arm* I can tell the boys you weren't be helpful
Ava: go ahead, I'm already grounded. What else are they going to do
Jody gives look and she sighs and gets up helps with grocery.

Ava: why doesn't Alex help? She's the reason we are all here
Jody: cause Alex is a guest
Ava: I'm also a guest too
Jody: but I known you longer then her

Ava huff annoyed putting the grocery away.

Alex is walking around the living room. She takes a crucifix off the wall.

Alex: You know this doesn't work, right? On vampires? It's useless.
Jody: That's not why I have it.
Alex: Mm. *picks up a picture of Jody's family. Jody walks in from the kitchen*
This your family?
Jody: Yes.
Alex: Where are they?

Jody doesn't say anything.

Alex: Oh. Dead.
Jody: (taking the picture back) You know, there are about a thousand more polite ways you could say that. I'll give you a pass on account of the whole raised-by-monsters thing.
Alex: How'd they die?
Jody: Horribly. You must be exhausted. I know for a fact you didn't sleep last night.
Alex: I'm fine.
Jody: It's no problem. I can make up a bed.
Alex: I'm fine!
Jody: Suit yourself.
Ava: Jody I'm done
Jody: alright I'll make you place to get ready for bed *leave*
Ava: *walks over to Alex* you know you shouldn't be rude to Jody all the time. She's just trying to help
Alex: but you're rude to her
Ava: that's because we have a better relationship then you and her. She used to me talking back, but it's apart of us getting along. I use to do this all the time with my mom before she died
Alex: how did she die?
Ava: vampire killed her
Alex: oh sorry, you know, not all vampires are bad people
Ava: just like my dad says, it's in their nature. You know my dad was turned into a vampire once.
Alex: once?
Ava: my great grandfather found out a cure for vampirism. I didn't realize at the time when he changed he came home from a hunt to surprise my mom and I. He shoved me and my mom had to protect me from him.
Alex: did you ever forgive him for that?
Ava: I didn't know what was going on at the time. I knew about monsters at the time but I didn't know he was one himself. I wasn't even sure if that was my dad, I mean it was him, but it wasn't really him
Alex: I get what you mean

The Winchesters approaching a rundown house. They enter, searching with flashlights. The house is obviously being lived in as there are beds made on the floor with blankets and food in the kitchen.

Dean: This place is a foreclosure, right?
Sam: Yep. It is, just like the rest of them.
Dean: Well, somebody's squatting here.
Sam: Blackout windows.

Suddenly there is a sound of a loud machine from behind the house. The brother more to investigate. Camera pans to a woodchipper out back and a man is shoving dead bodies into the grinding jaws of the machine. Dean approaches from behind.

Dean: Hey! Hey, you need a hand with that? Oh. (chuckles dryly as he points to the dead hand sticking out) I guess not.

The vampire bares its teeth and makes a move towards Dean but hasn't gone a step before Sam jumps in and cracks him over the head with a shovel.

Camera changes to the brothers and the vampire, named Dale, in the house. He is tied up as the Winchesters try to get information out of him.

Dean: You go out with the family, bring home a nice dinner. How did you get stuck doing the dishes?
Dale: We all have our roles to play.
Sam: Yours being destroying the evidence, yeah? Nice job. Ralph Hedges. Stacy Kepler. Any reason you targeted them?
Dale: Yeah. Hunger.
Dean: And, so, the family's what? Out taking a nice after-dinner stroll?
Dale: Oh, I'm sure they'll be back real soon.
Dean: What I asked was...

Dean grabs Dale's hair and jerks his head so their faces are very close.

Dean: Where are they?

Deputy Frank in the sheriff's office filling out paperwork. He jerks when a voice speaks across the counter.

Connor: (standing there with Mama and two other vamps) Nice shiner.
Deputy Frank: Can I help you all with something?

Connor: As a matter of fact...I think you can.

Back in the rundown house, Dean throws a punch right into Dale's stomach.

Dean: You don't want to talk. No skin off my back. 'Cause you see, a blood-sucking, body-chipping vamp – that's bad enough, but vamps...that kidnap kids... Well, I'm going to enjoy putting you down.
Dale: Of course. Oh, I knew this was about Alexis. I warned mama that girl would screw everything up for us one day.
Sam: "Mama"? As in one vamp turned you all?
Dale: Well, all of us but little sis. She was, uh, "too good to turn". Mama couldn't bring herself to, no matter what we said, no matter how bad Alexis got.
Dean: Bad?
Dale: Let me guess. You never had a teenage sister. Dragging her heels, whining, near constant, about everything, but more and more about the blood, like she's somehow above it, like she's better than us 'cause she don't feed on people.
Dean: (darkly) Daughter most likely. She is better than you, dumbass.
Dale: Her moping? That teenage crisis-of-conscience crap? It's annoying as hell, but it's just an act. When the chips are down, she'll always choose us over humans. I mean, how do you think we stayed off your radar all these years? Pretty, young, lost-looking thing like her? Irresistible, especially to the kind of man few people would miss. I mean, sure, we hunt sometimes for sport, but it's a lot easier and a lot safer to get delivery.

*FLASHBACK*
There is a small flashback to Alex in a bar getting hit on by a creepy man. She smiles at him and they leave the bar together. Then they are in the house and the man starts to make his move.

Man: Come on, sweetie. Aren't you gonna give me a name?

Alex: It's...Ann.
Man: Mm. Sweet Ann. You got any idea what I'm about to do to you?
Alex: Yeah. I do. Nothing
Man: What the... Is this a party?

Alex's brother all walk in and they start to feed on the creepy man.

*END FLASHBACK*

Dean: She's your lure.

Dale: Best a vamp could ask for. And you better believe you don't get that good at it unless you enjoy it. In her own sweet way...Girl's as bloodthirsty as any vampire.
Sam: [suddenly realizing] Ava and Jody.

Back in Sioux Falls, Jody is bringing in firewood when she realizes that the girls aren't in the living room anymore. She goes on a hunt for them in the house and finds them sleeping together in Jody's son's room. She smiles at them and goes to pull up the covers on her but she walks up and scares all 3 of them. Alex apologizes.

Alex: sorry did I hurt you?
Ava: *rubs head* I'll live
Jody: I made you two a sandwich. It's out there if you want it.
Ava: thanks Aunt Jody
Alex: Sheriff. My grandma?
Jody: I'm so sorry.
Alex: No, it's – it's fine. I figured – it's been years, and she was old.

Ava place a hand on Alex shoulder and gave her a recurring smile and she smiled back letting her know she's okay now.

Sam and Dean are both on the phone.

Sam: [finishing his call] You got it. Thank you.
Dean: [hanging up] She's not answering.
Sam: I just ran the victims' names through local P.D. They both worked at the O'Neill bus station.
Dean: So they killed them for Alex's location.

Dean's phone rings.

Dean: Jody?

Jody: Dean, what's up?
Dean: Listen to me. The vamps knew that Alex went to Sioux Falls, okay? They're probably already there. We're on our way there next. But there's something else. There's something about Alex.
Jody: [seeing headlights pull up to the cabin] It can wait. They're here.
Dean: What?
Jody: At the cabin. Now.
Dean: We're on our way. Keep Ava safe.
Jody: I will, Hurry. [hangs up]
Dean: She hung up.
Sam: We moving?
Dean: Yeah. Meet you outside.

Dean walks back into the room with Dale and without even missing a beat, he beheads him in one downward stroke of the machete.

Back in Jody's cabin, she is rushing for Alex's room and Ava comes out the bathroom.

Ava: what's wrong Jody?
Jody: go hide! The vampires are here
Ava: I can help, I killed vampires before Jody
Jody: now's not up for decision. Go now! Call the boys let them In what's going on
Ava: yes Jody

Ava grabs her phone and hides in the nearest closet. Jody went to open Alex's door but before she gets there someone flies in through the bedroom window and slides a dresser in front of the door. Jody gets there but can't get the door open. Alex is screaming from the inside.

Jody: Alex? Alex, come on. We got to go. We got to go.
Alex: Jody, help!
Jody: Alex?! Alex! Alex!
Alex: Help me! Help! Let me go!

By the time Jody busts into the room Alex and her captor have disappeared out of the window. Jody chases them outside as they shove Alex into a truck. Mama is sitting in the front. Connor is the one who is controlling the struggling Alex. Jody runs for them but gets clothes-lined by another vamp. As he is about to take a bite out of her neck, Mama yells from the car.

Mama: Come on, let's go!
Connor: Move it!

The truck peals out as Jody lays unconscious on the ground.

With Ava:

Ava called the boys in the closet.

Ava: dad
Dean: Ava what's going on, are you okay?
Ava: yeah I'm fine, hiding in the closet like Jody told me. But I heard they took Alex
Dean: *sighs* thank god you're safe and listened to instructions
Ava: does this mean I'm not grounded?
Dean: no, but it does mean you're earning my trust back for listening on a hunt
Ava: dad that could have been me if I didn't go to the bathroom
Dean: thank god it's not. Do you know if they're searching the house
Ava: I don't think so. I hear Jody yelling and screaming from outside. They must be in a hurry because they know hunters are looking for them
Dean: good
Sam: Ava hang in there until one of us get you, do not come out until we get their
Ava: but Jody-
Dean: don't worry about Jody, you need to learn to stop putting yourself endangered to help others in need
Ava: *sighs* okay

The Impala pulls up to the cabin in the daylight and the Winchesters jump out, greatly concerned about the groggy Jody who is still laying on the ground. They rush to her.

Dean: Jody?
Sam: Hey, you okay?
Dean: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Jody: [struggling to her feet with the boy's help] Where's Alex and Ava?

Sam: You tell us and Ava is fine, she called us she's still hiding in the closet
Jody: *sigh relief but worried for Alex* They came and I tried to stop them.
Dean: And you got knocked out. Well, happens to the best of us.
Sam: Just lucky you're alive.
Dean: You think they went back to the nest?
Sam: Of course they did. Why wouldn't they? Question is – what are they gonna do when they find their brother dead?
Dean: So we go back now.
Jody: Okay. I'm coming.
Dean: Uh, Jody? Hey, hey. Whoa. Hold on. You're hurt and someone needs to watch Ava
Jody: I'm coming.
Sam: Jody, we can handle the nest on our own.
Jody: I don't give a fig about the nest. That girl was under my protection.
Dean: Okay, that "girl" can't be trusted. She's a lure. She's a-a honey trap. She's been feeding people to those vamps!
Jody: I don't care. Whatever she did, she did because they made her.
Dean: Oh, and that's a reason?
Jody: She's a kid!
Dean: Yeah, a kid who's been playing vampire murder since before she was in braces.
Sam: Jody, he's right. A-at best her loyalties are...screwed.
Dean: And how do you even know she wants to be saved? For the past eight years, she has been baiting the hook for an entire nest. She's got more blood on her hands than most monsters we kill.
Jody: Are you saying she's on your list?
Sam: No, we're not saying that.
Dean: Well, not yet. Look, it sucks, okay? It does. But with hunting monsters comes harsh truths. This is a clean-up mission. It's not a rescue.
Sam: What is this even really about? You barely know the girl.
Jody: (glares at the boys and moves to the car) I'm coming. And if either one of you lays so much as a hand on Alex...You'll have to go through me.

Both boys sigh and Sam said.

Sam: I'll go get Ava

Sam went into the cabin to check the house and he found Ava past asleep in the corner of the closet with her phone still open in her hand. Sam lifted her up which jolted her awake frightened and Sam said.

Sam: shhh, shh it's okay you're safe
Ava: *groans* U-Uncle Sam?
Sam: yeah it's me baby girl, I'm taking you back to the car. You did good today kid, proud of you

Ava smiles weakly still tired and she leaned into her Uncle chest as she's being carried out.

Dean, Sam and Jody prepare to raid the run down house. They are down the road from the house so the vampires don't detect that they were here.

Jody: Well, their truck's in the driveway.
Sam: So we're walking right into it.
Dean: Well, we've faced worse odds.
Sam: Yeah. What about Ava?
Dean: *looks back* she will be fine, she can sleep through anything *to Jody* Jody. This is a raid, so tread lightly, stay close. Priority is clearing the nest. Alex comes second. You got it?

Jody: (annoyed) Got it.

The boys and Jody got out of the car to investigate leaving a sleeping Ava who thought she was asleep when she heard everything.

Dean, Sam and Jody enter the house and clear the first floor. Sam and Dean go upstairs and motion for Jody to stay where she is. They start to clear the second floor but Jody hears groaning from downstairs and goes to investigate. Meanwhile, upstairs Sam walks back to Dean and as Dean turns around he sees Connor has a gun on Sam. Dean grasps his machete.

Connor: (pushing the rifle into Sam's back)
Drop it.

Dean drops the blade to the floor and then gets 2x4ed in the head by another vamp. He collapses in a heap.

Jody is moving down the stairs trying to find the source of the groaning. She sees Alex laying face down on the bed. She rushes over to her.
Jody: Alex, come on. Come on, honey. We got to go.
Alex: Go away!
Jody: We got to go!

Alex sits up and her eyes are ringed in a weird amber hue and her mouth is covered in blood.

Jody: What did they do to you?
Alex: I'm sorry, Jody. I made my choice

Mama stepping from the shadows and punching Jody unconscious.

Mama: She chose me.

With Ava:
Ava sat up and looked around the area She wasn't too far from the house, so their was still time to help the boys and Jody. She really shouldn't, but she wants to feel at least helpful on this hunt.

She got herself out of the car and she opened the back of the trunk. Ava finds what she needs for the hunt. She grabbed the dead men blood and filled it with the gun and she found the knife to cut the vampire neck with it.

Ava knows she would be in so much trouble for going to the trunk but she wasn't just going to sit back and do nothing. After all she does have Winchester blood running through her veins edging her to hunt instead of listening to the voice inside her head to tell not to do this.

In the house, Dean is laying unconscious on the floor as Sam is tied to a chair. Connor is holding a gun on him as he struggles.

Connor: No, no, no. No. Unh-unh-unh-unh. Hell of a sight to come home to... Brother lying dead on the floor.

He rams the butt of the gun into Sam's stomach. Sam groans in agony..

Connor: No idea it was a Winchester that had done it. So...Which one of you was it? Which one of you took off my brother's head?! Was it you? Was it him? Pretty fitting – brother for a brother. This place has been a good home to us. But since you two had to come around and ruin it, we're gonna have to to hit the road and find a new one. And when we hit the road...we like to pack a lunch.

Connor cuts some surgical tubing and picks up a bucket and moves towards Sam. Sam draws back when he figures out what Connor is about to do.

In the basement, Jody is strung up by her hands to the rafters. Mama is going through all of Jody's weapons on the table.

Mama: Can't say you didn't come prepared.

Jody: Alex.
Mama: Hey. Don't be bothering my girl. She's going through something, a process.
Jody: What did you do to her?
Mama: Fed her my blood. She's on her way now. All that's left is to feed.
Alex: Please, mama. Let her go. I already drank from you. Let her go.
Mama: Made an impression on my girl, I see. Baby, this is the human half of you talking. After the change, this human – she ain't nothing to you. Clearly, Sheriff, you got issues, some hole in your life you're using my Alex to fill. I would say go and get a family of your own, but, well...you know.
Jody: Wow. That's pretty rich coming from the woman who stole Alex to begin with.
Mama: I have fed her, clothed her, loved her going on nine years. You think motherhood's just about blood? You don't know the first thing about it.
Jody: Maybe not, but I know what it isn't. And it ain't about forcing her to be like you the second she becomes inconvenient.

Mama: *to Alex* Don't you see what she is trying to do? This hunter cop bitch is trying to turn you against me to save her own hide. Don't believe a word she says.

Mama kicks the side of Jody's knee and it crunches in a sickening pop. Jody screams.

Mama: She ain't your mother.

Back upstairs, Sam's blood is draining from his arm into a second pint jar which stands next to an already full one. He is barely conscious.

Connor: Tapped this keg. Get the short-hair one ready. Time to finish this.

With Ava:

Ava made her way quietly to the house, she sees the other vampire sends a vicious kick into Dean's back right above his kidney. Ava noticed he was in trouble as Dean still appears to remain unconscious. Sam noticed Ava in the distance and looked surprised but doesn't say anything. The vampire pulls Dean's head but as soon as his hand grasp his hair Ava shot the man from behind with dead man's blood and turned around and snarled at her but Dean got up and buried the needle in the vampire's heart

Dean grabs the machete from the floor and faces Ava then Connor. Dean gave her a look that made her shiver knowing exactly why she was in trouble for.

Jody is still gasping in pain but is putting the pieces together in her mind...

Jody: Alex! Was that her name? You named her after someone. Was it your daughter? I couldn't figure out why you changed her name. I thought maybe you were ashamed of your theft, but you have no shame. You said that I was using her to fill a hole in my life, and you're right. I am. You are, too.
Alex: Mama?
Mama: I guess it takes one to know one. That Alex... She died a long time ago.
Jody: And it still hurts. You still feel it, the loss, the pain – like a stone in your gut. It hurts just a little bit less whenever she's near.

Mama: You bitch.

She leaps at Jody and starts to beat her face with her fist.

Dean was more worried about Ava safety but he didn't care at the moment to instruct her and he started facing off with Connor but Connor drives him to the wall with his machete to Dean's throat.

Ava: dad!

The vampire smirk but Suddenly Dean's face changes and all you can see is pure anger and strength. Dean pushes back and swings Connor around to the exact position. Dean presses the machete to Connor's throat. Dean's face is snarling, his eyes pure focus.

Dean: Look at me. Look at me, bitch!

Ava gasp she never seen her dad act like this before. This was whole different side of Dean she never expected from him. Connor glares back and Dean completely gives into the snarl as he severs Connor's neck with the blunt end of the machete. Ava quickly looked away as soon as it happened.

Before he turns back around to face Ava, Dean tries to get his feral start under control but in his eyes we can see a flash of fear.

Ava: dad...

Dean didn't say much, he approached her and she back up in the wall.

Dean: what the hell were you thinking!
Ava: I was saving you
Dean: does it look like I need saving
Ava: *squirms under his gaze* yeah... but you were unconscious dad, what was I supposed to do! Let you die!
Dean: I was faking it to psych the vampire out
Ava: I'm sorry I didn't know
Dean: I was handling it! You should have waited in the god damn car like I told you! *takes belt off*
Ava: dad wait! *squeals*

Ava said being pinned up against the wall.
Sam: Dean!

Dean ignored him and started belting her ass

Ava: *struggling against him* I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I won't do it again *burst into tears*
Sam: Dean, stop!

All you can hear in the room was the loud smack from the belt as it smack across Ava's butt.

Ava: d-daddy!!!!!

Dean stopped when she had enough and dropped the belt as she cried into her arm.

Dean: that was just the warm up*pulls her into a hug* don't you ever do that to me again!
Ava: *sniffles* I'm sorry
Sam: uh... Dean

He then rushes to Sam to remove the tubing from his arm. As Ava wipe her falling tears and rubbed her butt.

Sam: Dean.
Dean: Yeah, I know.
Sam: No. Jody.
Dean: Ava go back to the car
Ava: but-
Dean: *gives look*you want round 2?

That kept her mouth shut and she immediately obeyed and ran back to the car. The brothers rush for the basement.

Mama: Good news, lady cop. Whoever you lost... You're gonna see them again real soon.

Mama cuts Jody down and goes in for the kill but before she can finish it, Alex empties a syringe of dead man's blood into her back.

Mama: [falling to the floor] Alex? How could you? You were my girl.

Alex: I'm sorry, mama.

Jody quickly moves to the table and grabs her machete. She goes over to Mama and pulls back her head.

Jody: [to Alex] Don't watch this, sweetheart.

Dean comes down the stairs with Sam leaning heavily on his shoulder but as the reach the bottom, Jody decapitates Mama.

After the hunt they went back to the cabin to cure Alex and she started transition back into her human self.

Ava was waiting in Jody's room when the brothers walked in. She looked up when they came in and she sees that they looked disappointed in her.

Ava: before you say anything. Would it help my case if I apologized?

They just stood their giving her a look and she sigh and said.

Ava: I know I messed up badly and it's going to take a while to earn your trust back
Sam: Ava, what were you thinking?
Ava: *shrugs shoulder* I don't know
Dean: *cross arm* you do know
Ava: I just wanted to feel useful. I'm tired of feeling like I'm not apart of the family
Sam: what do you mean? You're part of the family
Ava: I don't hunt along side you guys
Sam: that's cause your a kid Ava. And we want you to enjoy being a kid while being on the road with us.
Ava: that's the point Uncle Sam, I'm not just a regular kid I'm a daughter of a Winchester. Who knows how long I will have with my dad
Dean: is this what this is about? You're worried about me
Ava: *nods* you guys are the only parent and family I have left. I rather die saving my family then risk my own life
Dean: *sighs* Ava it's not your job to protect us, it's our job to protect you! And we can't protect you if you keep putting yourself in dangerous situations
Ava: I know... *looks down and plays with fingers and kicks legs back and forth* what's my punishment?
Sam: What do you think your punishment should be?

Ava looked confused, she never been asked that question, this must be a test.

Dean: and you better answer the right way
Ava: *looks at her father then at Sam* uh...
Sam: Ava...
Ava: hold on, I'm thinking
Dean: think faster

Dean bark and Sam gave him a look.

Sam: Dean... back off
Ava: *bites nail* uh... would this punishment have anything to do with a belt in my future
Sam: that's exactly what in implies. What are the rules?
Ava: but Uncle Sam, dad just whoop me not long again
Dean: that was a warm up, I was just getting started little girl
Ava: *gulp*
Sam: what is the rule that you broke that worth the belt
Ava: following you guys on a dangerous hunt
Sam: and...
Ava: um... taking the weapons from the truck
Sam: are you allowed to be near the trunk or touch the weapons?
Ava: *shakes head no*
Sam: *raise eyebrow*
Ava: n-no sir?
Sam: good girl, that's what I want to hear. Remember what happened last time you did that and what happened?
Ava: um... *squirms* when I took the dream weaver and tried to follow you guys on a dream hunt and got the hairbrush
Sam: good girl, you will be getting the hairbrush from me and the belt from your dad

Ava heart struct but she knows she earned it. She should have listened to inside of her voice that told her not to do it.

Sam: now you understand why you're in trouble and for what reason, go fetch me your hairbrush
Ava: now? What if Jody and Alex hear?
Dean: well then you should have behave

Ava frowns and got up and grabbed her backpack and reached in to grab her hairbrush. She walked over to Sam and she said.

Ava: Uncle Sam, please reconsidered. ground me instead
Sam: you're already grounded remember and you broke part of your grounding and now I have to deal with it because it was my grounding that you broke, over my knees

Ava sigh and stopped arguing with him and bend over his knees, she felt Sam go to the waste of her jeans and panties started pulling them both down but she stopped him.

Ava: Uncle Sam, wait!
Sam: are you really in the position to tell me to wait young lady
Ava: no...
Sam: move your hands

Ava sighs and brought hands to the front of her. She grabbed a hold of the bed sheet. Sam started prepping her butt onto his knees. Her butt was already red and black (she's mixed remember) from the belt she received early but that didn't phase Sam and he proceeded to spank her with the hairbrush for 4 minutes.

By the end Ava was sobbing over his knees begging him to stop and when he eventually did he pulled her into a hugged.

Ava: I'm sorry uncle Sam, I will never break my grounding again
Sam: good, you're on restriction from hunting lessons for 2 weeks
Ava: but that's not fair!
Sam: I think that's completely fair since you broke the rule

Ava looks down.
Sam: go stand in the corner and wait on your dad

Ava sighs and walked over to the corner. She didn't realize her dad wasn't in the room he must have walked out before the spanking to give them so privacy Sam walked out.

Once he was gone, Ava looked behind her at her butt she can see that it was started to bruise a little. The car ride back home is going to be even worst with the belt.

Dean: *comes in* Ava sweetheart come on let's hit the road
Ava: *turns around confused* what about my spanking?
Dean: Sam said you need a break so we will deal with it later
Ava: okay *pulls jeans and panties back on*

She wanted to leave her hairbrush back at Jody's so bad but she didn't dare, they would probably just buy a new one a thicker one.

Ava shivered at that thought and placed her hair-brushed in her backpack and listened to her consciences this time.

Outside the house, Sam and Dean are standing next to the Impala talking.

Sam: Nice work back there. "Look at me, bitch"?
Dean: Well, hey, you got another snappy one-liner, I'm all ears.
Sam: What I'm saying is – it looked to me like you were enjoying it. Maybe too much.
Dean: And? Well, sorry for not putting on a hair shirt. Killing things that need killing is kind of our job. Last I checked, taking pleasure in that is not a crime.
Sam: Right, but...

Jody approaches with Ava. Ava hugged her dad and she hugs him back and gave her pecked on the forehead and Dean said to Jody.

Dean: How's things back at the station?
Jody: Well, they beat Frank up pretty bad, but at least they left him alive. He kept apologizing for spilling the beans about the cabin, but I told him that one's on me.
Sam: Well, speaking of apologies, um...We owe you a big one.
Dean: We were wrong about the girl.
Jody: No. You were right – about me. My judgment was clouded. You know, working this case, it brought...feelings back. Feelings I've been trying to bury for years, you know, buried it under work, religion...even dating. We know how that worked out. But, you know, it was still there, you know, underneath. The grief. Don't know what that means for me, just that I've been – I've been fooling myself to think that I could ignore it. Anyway, thank you – for coming out, for curing Alex.
Sam: You don't need to thank us. I mean, you're the one who killed her sire, got her blood.
Jody: Sure it'll work?
Dean: Well, speaking from experience, it'll be a rough couple of days, but...She should pull through. You sure you don't want us to stay?
Jody: I'm good.
Sam: After it's done, you know what to do with her?

Jody smiles.

After the boys and Ava left Jody cabin, they headed back on the road. Ava sat in the backseats sitting on ankles kneeled down while buckled and texting her friends from the family she lived with for a year. She didn't realize Sam had called her name until he reached back and snatched the phone out of her hand

Ava: hey!
Sam: did you hear a word I said?
Ava: *shakes head* no sorry
Sam: I said I want you to take out your homework so I can see what you did so far, starting this weekend you're going to be studying for your final exam,

Ava: fine... *grabs backpack*
Sam: and you shouldn't be on your phone anyways your grounded from it *puts phone away* and before you start you can only have your phone back for emergencies like when you need to go somewhere which wont be a problem or when we leave you at the motel
Ava: okay, I got it
Dean: you hungry
Ava: starving
Dean: I need gas anyways so will stop by at gas and sip

After they did their business, they pulled up to the deserted area at a rest stop on the road to eat their food. Last time they did Ava remember her father giving her a spanking and it was so humiliating to her even tho not a lot of cars were passing by when he does it. The boys were sitting at the hood eating their food while Ava was standing in between them picking at her food.

Dean: *looks down at her* if you're not going to eat it save it for later, don't waste perfectly good food *takes a bite*
Ava: *stomach turns and wraps up sandwich* I'm not in the mood to eat it right now
Dean: go wait at the table

Ava nods and put her food away and gave to Sam before walking over to the table. She made a face sitting down and squirms a bit at the contact from her jeans from her spanking earlier with Sam.

Dean: *walks over* alright let's get this over with, you know why you're in trouble?
Ava: yes sir
Dean: you wont ever pull something like that and scare me half to death
Ava: no sir
Dean: alright bend over picnic table

Dean says taking off his belt. Ava froze in her spot when she sees the belt in his hand.

Dean: Ava! Bend over
Ava: dad please

Dean sighs and yanked her over to pinic table and bend her over and put his hand on her back and started swinging.

Dean: When *swat* I *swat* tell *swat* you *swat* to *swat* do *swat* something *swat* you *swat* do *swat* it
Ava: okay, okay! Daddy chill!
Dean: don't tell me when to chill young lady when you earn it

After about 20 landed on her jeans he went to pulled them down but Ava stopped him.

Ava: *crying and whining* daddy noooo!!!!
Dean: yes little girl you earned this
Ava: *blush* dad! *looks around*
Dean: we are in the middle of no where, maybe this will teach you next time for defying me again

Ava "ugh!" And pulled her jeans down. She felt the cold breeze hittting her skin. She felt the belt go across her butt again and she yelped a bit not expecting that right away and started sobbing once again.

Dean was swinging his belt at a fast hard tempo to get the message across to Ava. Ava begged her father to stop but that didn't phase Dean at all, tears came to his eyes. He didn't want to do this, but he had to or else she would end up getting herself killed on his watch and he would never forgive himself. He concentrated good at aiming at her butt to get the point across.

10 more fell over her underwear before Dean tried to pull down her panties to her ankle.

Ava: nooooo!!!!!! Please anything but that
Dean: little girl, you earn this
Ava: but this is too much! I learned my lesson
Dean: have you? Cause I don't think you seem to stop putting your life at risk

Ava stopped herself.

Dean: that's what I thought

Dean removed the underwear and proceeded with the rest of the whooping.

Dean started lecturing the last few swats.

Dean: you're not a hunter *swat* you will stop following us on hunts *swats* and putting yourself in dangerous situation, do I make myself clear?
Ava: *gasp at the belt impact* y-yes sir!!!! Owie, owie, owiieee

After the last 30 on her bare butt Ava broke down sobbing in her arms. As Dean rubbed her back after dropping the belt and putting her jeans back into place. That was the worst spanking she ever experienced and she will never disobey her dad and uncle ever again. Or so she thought.
