Episode 25 – Wedding Bells in Duckburg Part 3
Several hours later, it was close to dusk as several cars pulled into the church parking lot. The Duck/McDuck family were already there, along with Violet's dads, Ty and Indy Sabrewing. A lot of people wearing tuxedos and dresses were walking in the church.
Roxanne Featherly wearing a purple dress, purple heeled-shoes and white opera gloves was reporting the event.
Roxanne: Good evening. This is Roxanne Feathery reporting outside the Duckburg church, where a wedding is being held. But not just any wedding, the lucky couple are Scrooge McDuck's nephew/local hero Donald Duck and his girlfriend Daisy Duck. And since this wedding is being paid for by the richest duck in the world, security is being held on the inside and outside in case any shifty characters try to steal from it or sabotage it.
The camera then zoomed in on the Moonlanders in their armour, holding blasters. They were surrounding the church.
Roxanne: While security on the inside is currently unknown, the Moonlanders, previously tricked into an invasion by their former leader Lunaris, are security on the outside. I'm Roxanne Featherly, back to you Carl.
Inside, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Mabel, Julia, Lena, Violet, April, May, June, Della, Scrooge, Gladstone and Fethry stood at the front door inside the church ready to greet the guests.
The males wore black tuxedos and white undershirts, though Scrooge, Fethry and Huey each wore a red bowtie, Dewey's was blue, and Gladstone and Louie's was green.
Webby, Mabel, Julia, Lena, Violet, April, May, and June each wore white dresses with a lavender belt and heels that matched their signature colours.
Beakely wore a black half-sleeved dress and black heeled shoes.
Della is wearing a black one-strap dress that goes up to her knees, a couple of bangles, a pearl bracelet, her hairband and black heeled shoes (a metal version on her robot leg).
Panchito and Jose were at back wearing their fancy tuxedo from Emma Glamour's party and prepare their instruments.
Mabel: Wow! I really love these dresses!
Julia: They're so fashionable!
Webby: I know, right! At weddings you wear the best outfits!
May: Say, Lena, have you ever been to a wedding?
Lena: Snuck in once or twice to see what weddings were like…and to annoy Aunt Magica.
Huey: Here come our guests.
(A/N: Like J. Tom assume they're all wearing tuxedo, dress, or fancy clothes.)
Gyro, Fenton (carrying a duffel bag), Officer Cabrera, Gandra and Manny (With Scrooge's stone head as his head again but still able to speak) with Lil'Bulb on his shoulder were the first to come in.
Gyro wore a grey tuxedo and black bowtie, Fenton wore white tuxedo and red bowtie, Manny wore a black bowtie and Officer Cabrera and Gandra were wearing black dresses and heels.
Gyro: Greetings everyone!
Fenton: Salutations McDucks!
Huey: Hey, Dr Gearloose and new Dr Cabrera!
Fenton: Huey, please, there's no need to be so formal. We're friends. Just call me Fenton.
Julia: Hi Lil'Bulb. Hi Headless Man-Horse of the Apocalypse.
Manny: Hi there kids!
Scrooge: Glad you could all make it.
Gandra: After everything this family has done for us it's the least we could do.
Officer Cabrera: We wouldn't miss this wedding for the world.
Fenton: This is Donald and Daisy's big day after all.
Gyro: So, where do we sit.
Duckworth: Duckworth emerges still in his uniform. I'd be happy to show you to your seats.
Officer Cabrera: Thank you, good ghost sir. They all look to Scrooge. By the way, I brought my police gun, tasers, and handcuffs just in case someone tries anything funny.
Gyro: Gyro holds up his ray gun. I brought my ray gun.
Manny: And I'm ready to go wild on any villains by unleashing my true form…which I swore I would never use again unless I must.
Fenton: I also brought the Gizmoduck Armour just as you requested…along with a few extras.
Webby: What do you mean by that?
Fenton, Gandra, Officer Cabrera and Gyro share smirks.
Fenton: It's a surprise.
Scrooge: Either way, thank you for taking my request.
Duckworth escorts the six of them and then Emily Quackfaster came in wearing a light blue dress, dark blue heels and white opera gloves.
Scrooge: Ah, there's my archive keeper. Thank you for coming Quackfaster.
Quackfaster: It's a pleasure to be here sir. Quackfaster brings out her sword. I also brought this for extra security as requested.
Just as she walked to pews Ludwig Von Drake and Matilda McDuck entered.
Ludwig wore a black tuxedo, green tie and black porkpie hat with a grey band and Matilda wore a yellow one-strap dress, white opera gloves and a flat yellow hat with her flower attached to.
Scrooge: Matilda!
Matilda: Scroogie!
Matilda and Scrooge embrace in a hug before holding hands.
Scrooge: Oh, it's great to see you and Ludwig made it.
Ludwig: Oh, ho, ho! We would never miss our own nephew's wedding.
Matilda: We've been wondering forever when Donald would make his proposal to Daisy.
Beakely: Beakely and Ludwig shake hands. It's always a pleasure to see you again Director Von Drake.
Ludwig: Bentina, please. I'm not a director anymore. Just call me Ludwig.
Matilda: We aren't the only ones who came, by the way.
From behind Klara, Anya and Corvus Von Drake walked up wearing their own fancy clothing.
Della: Hey, what's up cousins!
Klara: Good to see you again Della. Where's your brother?
Mabel: Dad's getting prepped up now for his big moment.
Fethry: You'll be able to see him soon.
Corvus: We're looking forward to it.
Klara: There'll be time to chat some more during dinner.
Ludwig: Well, let's take our seats.
Matilda: Come along you lot, And you Emutilda.
Emutilda comes in squawks inside before she and 5 ducks walk to take their seats just as Zan Owlson comes in wearing a wedding dress too.
Owlson: Good evening everyone.
Huey: Zan Owlson?
Scrooge: I invited her.
Louie: I thought you were done with our family after that thing with me being the worst boss ever and that stuff with the Bombie. He puts on a guilty look. Sorry about that by the way.
Owlson: She ruffles Louie's hair. Water, under the bridge. Besides, despite your crazy adventures, you're still your own normal version of family. Plus I was more through dealing with a childish madman rather than all of you. Besides, it does look like a very nice wedding you lot are putting on for your uncle and aunt.
April: You bet Owlson.
Beakely: How's being mayor of Saint Canard been?
Owlson: It's been going rather well, for me. My super crime prevention has helped kept the city at peace and those who try to defy it at night are always thwarted by Darkwing Duck. It's nice to know that a hero like him lurks in the shadows and watches over our city at night.
Webby: You can say that again!
Scrooge: Though, you might want to be ready for any craziness that's likely to occur since it's our family.
Owlson: Meh, I've been through worse. I'll just go take my seat.
Owlson walks to the pew and at the moment Farris D'Jinn and Amunet arrive.
D'Jinn wears his Arabian clothes and Amunet wore a fancy Egyptian dress.
Webby: Jinn! Amunet! You made it!
Amunet: Of course we did. Me and my people love weddings.
D'Jinn: I've seen many weddings in my travel and it's my honour to be invited to the wedding of Donald Duck.
Gladstone: Well, we're glad to see you could make it.
Julia: You two look so cute together!
D'Jinn chuckles and Amunet blushes with a giggle.
Amunet: Thank you Julia. Come Jin, let's get to our seats.
D'Jinn: Indeed.
They make their way to their seats and Della slyly leans to Scrooge.
Della: Hey, Uncle Scrooge. Did you invite you-know-who?
Scrooge: What are you talking about?
Goldie: Yoo-hoo!
Scrooge groaned but couldn't help but smile when he turned and saw Goldie wearing her red dress and her hair styled up.
Goldie: Missed me?
Scrooge: Ah, Goldie. I see you got my invitation. I'm surprised you showed up for the wedding.
Goldie: Why be surprised old man? I always show up to your family events?
Scrooge: Usually uninvited.
Gladstone: Gladstone whistles. Wow! For an old lady you're looking great in that dress!
Goldie: Thanks. I made it myself. So where's the lucky soon-to-be-married couple?
Mabel: They're getting ready. Julia and I can show you to your seats ma'am.
Goldie: Aren't you polite.
Julia: We're trying to be.
Webby: It's a rhetorical question.
Julia and Mabel take Goldie's hand, leading her down to her seat.
Seconds later BOYD flies and lands at the front entrance wearing a tuxedo and grey bowtie,
Huey: BOYD, you made it!
Huey and Louie share a hug with their robot friend and so do their rest.
BOYD: Hi, Huey, Louie, everyone! Mother and Father allowed me to come to the wedding while they kept a watchful eye on big brother Doofus!
Della: Aww! You're such a cute little robot boy, every time you speak.
Lena: Glad you could make it little buddy.
Huey: The wedding should start soon. You go find your seat BOYD.
BOYD: Will do!
He walks off and just as Mabel and Julia returned Fergus McDuck and Downy McDuck walk in.
Fergus was wearing a black tuxedo and his usual hat and Downy was wearing a white full-sleeved dress.
Scrooge: Mum! Dad! You made it!
Fergus: Scrooge shares a hug with his parents. Aye, of course we did Scroogie.
Downy: And why wouldn't we? This is our grandson's wedding after all and we were here for Della's.
Della: Della hugs her grandparents. You guys are awesome grandparents!
Downy then drops down to pinch Huey, Dewey and Louie's cheeks and kisses them repeatedly, causing the Duck Girls to giggle until the same thing happens together.
Julia: Aww! They're so sweet! Family together, just like us!
She wraps an arm around her 4 sisters and brings them in for a hug.
Webby: Yep, they sure are!
Violet: Indeed.
Duckworth: Duckworth emerges. I'll show you to your seats.
Duckworth escorts the two of them and when they leave the family is engulfed in purple smoke.
Beakely: What in the blazes!?
Scrooge: What in Dismal Down's!?
Louie: Purple smoke, huh?
Dewey: I think I know who it is.
The smoke cleared to reveal Drake Mallard and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer.
Launchpad was right behind them wearing his Double O'Duck outfit once again.
Drake is wearing a dark purple shirt underneath a black blazer, a black tie and a black version of his Darkwing Duck hat.
Gosalyn is wearing a black dress with a lavender belt and black heels.
Drake: Greetings McDuck family.
Della: Hey, Drake.
Scrooge: Good to see you again lad.
He shakes hands with Scrooge and Della while Dewey shares a high-five with Gosalyn.
Dewey: Gosalyn! You made it!
Gosalyn: Hi Dewey!
Webby: Gosalyn!
Gosalyn: Webby shares a hug. Webby! It's so good to see you! She looks to all her friends. It's great to see all of you!
Lena: Great to see you too Gos.
Violet: You're looking well.
Louie: Always have to make an entrance, don'tcha Darkwing?
Darkwing: I'm not Darkwing Duck tonight. Today, I am Drake Mallard, guest at the wedding of Donald and Daisy Duck. He temporarily partially unbuttons his shirt to reveal his Darkwing outfit underneath. Though, I did bring my costume with me just in case.
Gosalyn: Gosalyn holds up her crossbow. And I brought my crossbow for the occasion.
Webby: Always good to be prepared.
Julia: Ooh! We love crossbows! Can I touch it?
Mabel: No, I wanna touch it first!
Gosalyn: Sure, knock yourselves out.
She tosses her crossbow to the twins and they both examine it in awe. She then notices the strange looks Gladstone, Fethry and the boys are giving her.
Gosalyn: What are you staring at?
Dewey: It's just that…
Gladstone: We're used to seeing you dressed as a tomboy, Red Hair.
Louie: It's weird to see you're dressed like a real girl.
Gosalyn: Gosalyn gives a sly smile. Oh, ha, ha! Very funny, I may not dress like a girl that often but I'm still a girl. Plus, since this is a special occasion this was the best thing to wear.
Darkwing: Thanks again for driving us here LP.
Launchpad: No problem DW. Any friend of Launchpad's is a friend of mine.
Darkwing: They gave Launchpad odd looks. Okay…we'll just go to our seats.
Darkwing and Gosalyn (after taking back her crossbow) go to find their seats and then Penumbra, Gibbous, Zenith and Palus walk in wearing their Moonlander battle armour.
Della: PENNY!
Della jumped up and hugged her best friend to which Penumbra happily return.
Penumbra: Greetings best friend, Della. I'm happy I could attend this ceremony for your brother.
Della: I'm so happy you could make it too, best friend!
Webby: Hi, Penny!
Penumbra: Penumbra bends down to Webby, Julia and Mabel smiling. Small Della, it's good to see you too…and the other two small Della's.
Julia: It's really nice to meet you Captain Penumbra!
Mabel: Webby told us so much about you! We've never met an alien before!
Gibbous: We're all happy to be here!
Palus: Ooh! I love weddings!
Zenith: This is the first Earth wedding we've ever been to!
Violet: I assume the other Moonlanders are also here.
Penumbra: They are. They'll be keeping watch outside for anyone stupid enough to dare interfere with this wedding.
Scrooge: Excellent!
Dewey: Wanna watch the ceremony?
Penumbra: Well…
Zenith: Zenith places a hand on Penumbra. Oh, Penumbra, stay here and watch the ceremony.
Penumbra: But what about guard duty?
Gibbous: Don't worry. We can handle that.
Palus: You stay here and enjoy yourself captain.
Della: Come on, Penny, it'll be fun!
Penumbra: Well, if everyone insists I suppose I can watch the ceremony.
Penumbra goes to find her seat while the other three go outside to guard the church.
Huey: I wonder what Moon-themed weddings are like.
Violet: It would be interesting to know.
Kit Cloudkicker and Molly Cunningham arrive wearing a tuxedo and white wedding dress. Della shares a fist bump with them both.
Della: Kit! Molly! Glad you could make it to the party!
Kit: Like we'd miss out on this, especially after Donald saved our hides two weeks ago.
Molly: Plus, we're good friends, right?
Dewey: So how's the cloud-kicking going with Danger Woman's circuit?
Kit: It's actually quite nice to get back into the thing I loved doing as a kid.
Molly: And a lot of people have fallen in love with his cloud-kicking. I'd say we're both doing great.
Huey: Glad to hear it!
More guests visit in the form of King Arthur, the knights of the Round Table, The Minotaur, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, King Vomit and his goblins remaining outside to guard the church.
Dewey: So many guests, who else is coming?
Storkules: Noble Dewford, did thou forget your mighty friends from the heavens?
Storkules, Selene, Xandra and Humphrey came in.
Storkules and Selene were wearing completely white versions of their outfits.
Xandra was wearing the dress she wore during her the first party at the Quackmore Institute after being freed from the Atlas.
Humphrey had a bowtie around his neck.
Webby: Storkules! Selene! Xandra! You made it!
Storkules: Well, of course we did. I wouldn't miss Comrade Donald and Fair Daisy's wedding for all treasures in the temple.
Selene: I wouldn't miss this wedding for the world!
Selene: Same here! I was around for the original Caballeros weddings, so of course I'll be here for Donald's too.
June: Great to see you guys made it. You too Bear.
Humphrey roars in happiness.
Fethry: But how did you get Zeus to let you come here?
Storkules: Mother was more than kind enough to force Father to let us attend this wedding,
April: Say, where's Ari.
Scrooge: Ari emerges from Scrooge's hat. Bless me bagpipes!
Ari jumps down wearing a tuxedo and screeches loudly before greeting the family.
Scrooge: Were you in there this whole time?
Ari: Uh huh!
Julia: Julia rubs Ari's face. Aww, he's so adorable and weird! I love him!
Storkules: Ha, ha! Such an odd little fellow, indeed!
Xandra: But a good friend nonetheless.
Selene: We'll just go and find our seats. Thanks again for inviting us.
Della: Anytime!
The gods, Aracuan bird and bear walk to their seat.
Mickey: And thanks for inviting us too.
Everyone turned around and saw Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Pluto standing at the entrance all wearing fancy wedding outfits and Pluto has a bowtie wrapped around his neck.
Della: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Pluto, you all made it!
Mickey: Well, of course! We'd never miss the wedding of our best pals!
Minnie: We've been looking forward to this day for a long time!
Goofy: We were starting to wonder if Donald and Daisy would ever marry until Donald finally made his proposal! We're so happy for them!
Chip & Dale: Same for us too!
Mickey: Mickey ruffles Pluto's head. Thanks for letting me bring Pluto.
Mabel: Mabel rubs Pluto's face. Aww! He's extra cute!
The members of the Sensational Seven go to find their seats.
Louie: Is that everyone?
Scrooge: Not yet.
Gladstone: Really? Who else did we invite? Sora and his friends?
Sora: They sure did.
The kids jumped and turned around gasping. Crowding the front entrance stood Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ven, Terra, Aqua, Chirithy, Roxas, Lea, Xion, Naminé, Isa, Hayner, Pence and Olette. The men are wearing black tuxedos and bow ties corresponding to their colours and the girls were wearing beautiful dresses corresponding to their colours too. They were all holding gitfts.
Sora: Hey, guys.
June: Whoa! Where'd you all come from!?
Ven: From our home worlds.
Aqua: Della, sent us all an invite two days ago.
Xion: And we were all more than happy to attend the wedding.
Louie: Not to be rude, but ALL of you!
Fethry: This is a real surprise!
Kairi: Well, of course we'd all come to the wedding, especially after all we've been through together.
Roxas: And you guys are family.
Webby: The Duck/McDucks look touched. That's really sweet of you guys.
Lea: Leon and the gang in Radiant Garden are gonna come too. They're just gonna be a little late, since they need to take care of a couple things there.
Beakely: Regardless, we're all glad you could make it.
Scrooge: Donald and Daisy will be overjoyed to see you all.
Riku: And we'll be happy to see them.
Sora: And as a bonus, we'll be extra security inside.
Namine: No one's gonna mess with this wedding on our watch.
Lena: Man, we really went out with security measures in here.
Isa: This wedding was paid for by Scrooge after all.
Gladstone: True that, and wedding paid by Scrooge should have the best security ever.
Terra: So where's the gift table.
Huey: Right to your left.
Pence: Looks like we'll be sitting in the back.
Hayner: That works for us. That way we can keep an eye on scumbags.
Olette: We'll see you all dinner!
Della Same here! As soon as the large group left for their seats Della looked to her family. Alright guys, I'm gonna go help get Donald and Daisy ready. The rest of you know what to do.
Dewey: We'll get the rings!
Webby: We'll get our flower petal baskets.
Launchpad: I'll play the piano!
Gladstone: Alright fam, let's get ready!
As soon as the family left, Scrooge quickly turned to Della.
Scrooge: By the way, lass, who did you hire as our prime minister?
Della: Della winks. Wait and see Uncle Scrooge.
Meanwhile, Donald was getting ready in a dressing room. He was stood in front of the mirror wearing a black tuxedo, blue undershirt, dark blue bowtie, a blue porkpie hat, and a red rose pinned to his left. He ties in his bowtie correctly but is looking in the mirror quite nervously. Mickey, Goofy, Panchito, Jose and Sora were stood behind him.
Donald: Okay Donald, today is your big day. You can do this. This is the most important day of your life… tied with the days the boys hatched and when Della finally came home, but still…
Panchito: Got the pre-wedding jitters amigo…
Donald: Yeah, I guess. Oh boy, oh boy, am I nervous or what?
Goofy: Don't worry, Donald. It's Daisy you're marrying. What could go wrong?
Donald: Nothing I hope. Though with my bad luck something is bound to go wrong.
Jose: Everything will be fine my friend.
Donald: Yeah, but last I checked weddings don't really always go the way anyone planned.
Mickey: Mickey places a hand on Donald's shoulder. Aww, come on, pal. Just relax. It's Daisy you're marrying. It'll all go great, I'm sure of it.
Sora: He's right. And the 5 of will be with you the whole time so you've got nothing to worry about Donald.
Donald: Donald puts on a nervous look. Yeah, I guess. A knock is heard on the door. Come in.
Della: Della happily enters the room. Hey, bro!
Donald: Oh! Hi, sis. Could you guys leave us alone for a bit?
Mickey: Sure thing, Donald.
The men all leave the Duck Twins alone. Della walks up to her brother, standing opposite of him.
Della: So, Don, today's the big day. You ready to tie the knot with Daisy?
Donald: I do feel ready, Della. It's just, well…
Della: Della grows concerned to see him nervous. Bro, what's wrong?
Donald: He nervously rubs the back of his head. I-I'm just a bit nervous Della.
Della: I hear ya Donnie. Pre-wedding jitters. I felt the same way before I got married, remember?
Donald: He chuckles a little. Yeah, I remember.
Della: So what's buggin' ya bro?
Donald: It's just that, I've been dreaming of this day for my entire life. Finally marrying the girl I love so much and want to spend the rest of my life with by my side. But… what if it doesn't work out between us?
Della: Why would you think that, Donald?
Donald: I mean come on Della; you know I have bad luck when it comes to just about everything. I've been living on a houseboat of all things for 10 years raising your sons. I was barely able to hold down a job outside of being Mickey's court magician, and I broke our family apart by lying to the boys and blaming Scrooge for what happened to you with the Spear of Selene when it was really Bradford manipulating you to take off with it. Do you really think Daisy will want to still be with me in the future, considering my temper and all that? I don't want our relationship to be toxic like during our college years in the New Quackmore Institute.
Della can tell how nervous her brother is. She wraps an arm around his back with a kind smile.
Della: I don't think, I know. Donnie, despite everything you just mentioned being true, that was all in the past. Who cares about your temper or what happened after the Spear? That doesn't matter to her anymore because she knows who you truly are under all the rage. What happened wasn't your fault, Don, it was all Bradford's. The twins stood up opposite of each other and Della held Donald's hands. You guys have been through so much together: that stuff at the institute, the Shadow War, the Moonvasion, FOWL and all the adventures we've been on. Daisy loves you Donald. If she didn't, she wouldn't be together with you, living with you, or even marrying you today. Plus, it's because of that love she was motivated to convince you make things right with Uncle Scrooge. Daisy loves you for who you are Don, just as I do. Della rubs her brother's face. She won't have any other guy than you. You're her special person Don. And she's lucky to have a man like you in her life.
Donald smiled, feeling tears well up in his eyes and his confidence return. He wrapped Della in a hug, which she gladly returned and they share a brother-sister embrace.
Donald: Thanks Della. I really needed that.
Della: Anytime Don. You're my brother. You may be the most powerful mage-warrior hybrid but that doesn't mean I won't always be there for you.
Donald: Yeah…and I'll always be there for you too, Della.
Della: Della saddens a little. Though…in a couple months time you'll be on that vacation for a year with Daisy, Mabel and Julia. Things…just aren't gonna be the same her without you.
Donald: Don't worry, Della. I promised you that I'd stay in contact as much as possible with you. No matter how far apart we are I'll always be your brother.
Della: She smiles a little. And I'll always be your sister Don. We'll still be the Duck Twins, right?
Donald: We'll always be the Duck Twins. We were still that even when you were on the Moon, right?
Della: That is true. And I also know that if I ever truly need you…you'll come back for me bro.
Donald: Of course I will. You're my sister after all. If you're ever in any danger I'll come back for you Della. I promised when we were kids that I'd always protect you, Della. I promised I'd always be there for you. And I know if I'm in any kind of danger you'll come back for me too. Our bond is too strong to ever be broken apart. The Moonvasion proved that.
Della: Yeah, it sure did. When we reunited that day on the island and when we fought Lunaris together I rediscovered how much you truly mean to me Don. She's close to tears. And I remembered what a wonderful brother I have.
Donald: And I remembered that I have the greatest sister in the world.
Della: You know for these past months since I came home I've been constantly blaming myself for everything that happened to our family, our parents death, me blaming you for it, you and Scrooge hating each other, the Shadow War, the Moonvasion, me missing out on most of the boys' childhood, every terrible thing that had happened to you. I could never forgive myself for what I did…but after finding out that Bradford was the one truly responsible for it all…I think I'm ready to forgive myself now.
Donald: Yeah…me too, Della. For the past year I've been blaming myself for tearing the family apart, getting our parents killed, our fight in El Dorado, abandoning Uncle Scrooge, almost destroying my own home town, the Shadow War…I kept telling myself it was all my fault because I left Uncle Scrooge vulnerable and lied to my own nephews. But after Bradford told us the truth…I think I'm ready to forgive myself too. We both made bad mistakes in our lives…but now we can stop punishing ourselves for it.
Della: Yeah, you're right. I mean, of course I still feel guilty over the things I've done, including my mistreatment of Louie but after everything we've all been through together, bonding with my sons, reconnecting with you and adventuring with the family, I really think I've made up for all my mistakes. Now I want to make a fresh start with my life.
Donald: Yeah, me too. This wedding and my vacation with Daisy will be a great chance for me to make new start with my life too. And whatever happens, we'll all face it together as a family. And I'll especially face it with you…Della.
Della: Right back at ya…Donald.
The Duck Twins embrace each other in a longer and sweeter hug. Della pulled back to give Donald a kiss on the cheek, causing to smile and blush while Della giggles. Just then a knock is heard on the door and Donald opens it to find Scrooge stood with Mickey, Goofy, Panchito, Jose and Sora.
Scrooge: Just came to check on you. So, lad, ready for you big moment.
Donald: I am unc. Are my best men and matron of honour ready?
Sora: Yeah!
Panchito: Absolutely!
Jose: More ready than we've ever been!
Goofy: We sure are!
Mickey: You bet we are pal.
Donald: Uncle Scrooge, can I ask you a favour.
Scrooge: Of course, what is it, Donald?
Donald: Well…it just occurred to me that Daisy doesn't really have a male blood relative to walk her down the red carpet to me. So, I was wondering if-
Scrooge: Scrooge places a hand on his nephew's shoulder. I'd be honoured.
Donald: Thanks unc. He turns back to Della. And thanks again for the pep talk, Della.
Della: Anytime, Don. Now get out there and get wed with a smile.
Donald does just that and walks away with Scrooge, Mickey, Goofy, Panchito and Jose following him.
Della then heads over to another dressing room door and knocks.
Minnie: Who is it?
Della: The bride's soon-to-be-sister-in-law!
Minnie: Oh! Come in Della!
Della opened the door to find that Minnie, Clarabelle, and Kairi were helping with Daisy's dress. Daisy wore a fancy white dress, a white pearl necklace, silver heels, and a white veil with the see-through cover that was basically sparkling.
Daisy: Hi Della!
Della: Della is amazed. Ohmygosh! Daisy, you look so beautiful! Donald's gonna practically drown in a pool of his own drool when he sees you!
Daisy: Aww! Thank you Della!
Kairi: Kairi pats the the dress. We're almost done here.
Xandra: Xandra was adjusting the back of her dress. Just gotta tie this back in here.
Minnie: Minnie adjusts her veil. And we're…done!
Daisy: Daisy looks at herself in the mirror satisfied. Perfect! Thanks girls! She looks back to her friends. Say, could you three wait outside for a bit and keep an eye out for Namine, I'd like to talk with Della for a bit.
Minnie: She giggles. Of course, Daisy. Come on girls.
Minnie, Kairi and Xandra leave the room and now Della and Daisy were alone. The lady-in-waiting gives a heavy nervous sigh and Della worries.
Daisy: Well…this it. There's no turning back now.
Della: Is something wrong Daisy?
Daisy: I'm starting to feel how you felt before you got married.
Della: Oh boy…Donald was nervous before I talked to him. What's got you having pre-wedding jitters, Daisy?
Daisy looks down sighing in guilt and concern as she held her hands together.
Daisy: I guess I'm just nervous of what's gonna happen after this. After Donald and me started dating I always dreamed that we would get married and spend the rest of our lives together. But…am I really the perfect girl or him. I was such a horrible selfish brat to him in our college years. Breaking up with him on his birthday, leaving a rotten note for him at Chez Quackmore, blaming him for using my nieces and not letting him explain, and especially when I used Dapper to get back at him. Then when it came to him travelling the worlds with Sora and Goofy, I was annoyed when he never got back to me when I didn't realize everything they had been through. And then there was the time when I let myself get so obsessed with trying to impress Miss Glamour, I practically abandoned Donald and left him waiting for me for 5 hours in the restaurant. I almost became a spoilt brat again and almost threw him and nieces out of my life. Am I really the perfect girl for him? Do you really think Donald still wants to be with me?
Della just smiled as she walked up and stood opposite of her sister-figure.
Della: Of course he does Daisy. I've said this before to my brother and I'll say it again to you. No matter what the two of you go through together in the future, Donald will always love you. He doesn't hold any grudges against you Daisy, and he's always been willing to forgive you. He's never had his eye on another girl in his life because he loves you so much Daisy. You're the only girl for him. If did then he wouldn't have worked so hard to get back together with you in the institute no matter how many times you two broke up. You've always supported him, especially when I was stuck on the moon. It's because of you that the mess I made when I left Earth was fixed up and Donald and Uncle Scrooge reconciled after the Shadow War. I don't know where our family would be if you hadn't been there to talk sense into us all. Plus, the both of you worked hard to raise three kids by yourselves. Donald will never hate you Daisy, he doesn't care about who you used to. He loves and cares about who you are now and inside. Who cares if you used to be a brat? Not me and certainly not Donald. That's how much he loves you. My bro is lucky to have a girl like you. Aside from me and the boys, you're the best thing that has ever happened to him. I'm the light in his heart that keeps him together, but you Daisy…you're the light in his heart that keeps Don on the right path. You're more special to him than you know.
Daisy stared at Della, stunned. Then, tears welled up in her eyes before she hugged Della. The two embrace in a sisterly hug.
Daisy: Thank you Della. I feel so much better now.
Della: Hey, don't mention it. Anything for my soon-to-be-sister-in-law!
When they separate Daisy walks over to grab a bouquet of flowers and looks to Della.
Daisy: So how do I look?
Della: You look as beautiful as a princess. So are you ready?
Daisy: Ready as I'll ever be.
Della opened the door and there stood Minnie, Xandra, Kairi, and Namine.
Namine: Ready Daisy.
Daisy: Yep! Let's get married.
In the sanctuary, all the guests were gathered together, ready for the wedding to start. Donald, Mickey, Goofy, José, Panchito, and Sora stood on the stage and Launchpad sat near the grand piano. As they wait they all talk with one another.
Penumbra: So who are the members exclusive to this wedding?
Gandra: Let me see. Gandra uses her eye buds to present a program. Huey, Dewey and Louie are the ring bearers. Webby, Lena, Violet, April, May, June, Mabel and Julia are flower girls. Mickey, Goofy, Panchito and Jose are Donald's best men and Sora's the matron of honour.
Xion: It sounds cute to have the boys be the ring bearers.
Olette: I can't wait to see the girls spread flowers.
Storkules: Tis, most suitable to have King Mickey, Goofy, Panchito and Jose the best men since two of them have Cohort Donald's best friends since childhood and the other two since his college years.
Riku: And given everything they've been through Sora's the perfect matron of honour.
Gandra: There's more. Daisy's bridesmaids are Della, Minnie, Xandra and Namine.
Selene: Della and Minnie have been Daisy's friends since childhood and Xandra has known her since her college years so they're the perfect choice.
Roxas: Namine got along really well with Daisy in the Dream Festival so she's also the best choice. And it makes sense to have Kairi be the matron of honour since Sora is the matron.
Ven: So any sign of a scumbag?
Hayner: No one fishy yet.
Pence: Everything seems calm.
Drake: Strange…there hasn't been a single villain in sight for the whole day. It's a bit too calm, if you ask me.
Gosalyn: Gosalyn dismisses with a hand wave. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. All the scumbags are probably chickening out because they know it's be stupid to try and ruin a wedding paid for by Scrooge McDuck.
Fenton: I'm afraid I agree with Drake, Gosalyn. Something's not right.
Goldie: Has anyone seen Scroogie?
Beakely: He went in the direction Daisy should be waiting in to make her big entrance. I wonder why.
Penumbra: Penumbra suddenly hears static coming from her communicator and brings it out. This is Captain Penumbra, here?
Zenith: Penumbra. You may wish to come outside, something's about to transpire.
Penumbra: But the wedding's about to start.
Gibbous: It's urgent Penumbra and we might need your help.
Penumbra: Penumbra sighs in acceptance. Very well, I'll come out. Just hold on for a second.
Amunet: Penumbra puts her communicator away. Is something wrong Penny?
Penumbra: Something is happening outside the church and it seems I'm needed there. Tell Della I'll be back as soon as possible. Hopefully I'll be back in time to see the kiss.
Penumbra takes her leave to join her people.
The Champion of the Moon exits the whole church to join Gibbous, Zenith and Palus outside.
Penumbra: What's going on out here.
Gibbous: That!
Gibbous points up and approaching them is Don Karnage's main ship: The Iron Vulture.
Penumbra: What kind of Earth plane is that?
Zenith: I think I heard of this plane from young Dewford. It belongs to the sky pirate known as Don Karnage.
Palus: But I thought he perished in the final battle with FOWL.
Penumbra brings out her gun and the Moonlanders take aim at the aircraft.
Penumbra: Who cares! They're attempting to ruin my second best friend's wedding! Stop that ship! Blast them!
The Moonlanders fire their laser pistols like crazy, attempting to shoot down the Iron Vulture but it was able to resist all the laser shots and the ramp opens up for ropes to drop down and coming down were an army of sky pirates and the entire Beagle family.
The lackeys all charged the Moonlanders. They were easily able to punch, shoot and knock out the Beagles but it was a bit harder with the sky pirates. The Moonlanders fought the pirates with their spears, trading blows with them.
Gibbous smashes his belly into a beagle, sending him flying. A sky pirate jumps onto him but he tosses him away into another pirate before blocking another with his spear.
Zenith and Palus were shooting and electrocuting as many lackey's as possible with their guns.
Penumbra blocks a pirate with her spear before kicking it away, whacking a large beagle with the back end of her spear before uppercutting another Beagle.
Penumbra: You won't ruin the wedding of my second best friends you villains, especially if this is the best you've got!
When she looks up she's met with a horrible sight. Flying out of the Iron Vulture were Air Pirate and Surveillance Robot Heartlesses and they dive down towards the Moonlanders.
Penumbra: It can't be…
Gibbous: Are those…!?
Palus: It's the Heartless!
The Surveillance Robots unleashes laser shots that electrocute or knock out some Moonlanders, making it easier for the Sky Pirates and Beagles to fight them. Some Air Pirates swooped down to knock them out with flying uppercuts.
A bunch of Moonlanders lead by Gibbous, Zenith and Palus did their best to shoot down as many enemies as possible. Penumbra is spinning her spear to deflect every shot sent her way and slices a couple of Air Pirates.
Penumbra: Who is leading all this! It can't be this Sky Pirate King!
Gibbous: Penumbra! You have to get back inside and warn the others!
Zenith: We'll hold them off as long as we possibly can!
Penumbra: Alright! But be careful!
Amidst the chaos of battle and shots being fired Penumbra manages to escape and heads straight for the Church's main door.
Penumbra: I have to get back and warn Donald, Della and everyone before it's-
Suddenly she's electrocuted by a shot of electricity. Penumbra drops to her knees in pain and someone lands right in front of her. She looks up and gasps in sheer horror to see her attacker: Lunaris. He looms above his former lieutenant with a sinister grin.
Penumbra: It's…it's you…
Lunaris: Greetings…my former lieutenant. You won't be warning anyone. It will how Earther's say: "spoil the surprise".
He throws a punch a and with that everything blacks out for Penumbra.
