Every plumber on Earth gathered in main hall in the base to honor an ex cadet.Stage was filled with the biggest heroes in Plumber history.Ben Tenyson,Kevin Levin,Gwen Levin,Max Tenyson,Magister Patelliday and of course.........Rook Blanka.Her days of being a cadet are over.She is standing in a middle of a spotlight as Max walked over to her.He places a medal of a red round Tayden looking crystal.
Max:Youve earned it.
Rook:Thank you.I have been looking forward to this day for a long time.Ever since I found out that I would work with Ben Tennyon I knew we could accomplish great things.Ben saved the world tons oh times.Or so he said.
Everyone just laughed at that,even Ben gave a chuckle.It is unclear if they laughed because of her joke or the fact that she made a joke.
Max:Haha.Is there anything you would want in your new promotion?
Rook:Yes.Yes there is.I would like to keep my current job and experience to joy of teaching new cadets.And it would be even better if Ben would pick one for me.
As the night went on so did the party.There were a bunch of drinks,baloons,games and Maxs home made cooking.Rook was never one for the loud parties,even if it was in her honor.So she stood closer to the walls.There she saw her old roommate Y/N.
Rook:Y/N is that you?
Y/N:Rook,howre you doing?
Rook:How am I doing what?
Y/N:You never changed have you?
Rook:I did change.I grew few centimeters and have a new look on life.
Y/N:(Chuckle)Not what I meant.
Rook:I heard your grades had improved after my departure.I hope I was not the reason of your lack of attention in studying.
Y/N:No no of course not.I just needed some more time to get it.Congradulations by the way.
Rook:Thanks.I hope to get a cadet who is as good as friend as you are.
Rook went over to her parents who came to Earth for the very first time just for this,as Y/N kept drinking his drink.
Y/N:Me to.Me to...
Unknown to both of them Ben was watching this scene.Lightbulb went over his head when he got a genius idea.
Rooks P.O.V.
Rook:Mother,father,I am glad you could make it.
Rook Da(Father):We were glad to make time to visit you on this day but I am afraid we have to go soon.This year our harvest is richer than ever before.
Rook:I am glad to hear that.
No ones P.O.V.
Gathering countinued into the night as eventually every guest went to their home or started their night shift.Before you know it,morning came and with it a new day.A new day,a new adventure.Rook was waiting in her Proto Truck.She waited for Ben and her new partner that was gonna be asigned to her today.
And she didnt have to wait for long.
Ben:Morning Rook.Ready for your new partner?
Rook:As you would say, You know it.
Quoting a phrase she still didnt quite understand she said it slowly.
Ben:Great.Here he is.
Rook stepped out of her vehicle to see something that greatly surprised her.
Rook:Y/N?!
Y/N:Um hi.
He waved his hand shyly since this put them both in an award situation.
Ben:I saw how close you two were and thought this might be a great idea.
Rook felt uneasy considering the poor grades of her new partner.She was heaving a hard time finding words,sweating as she did so.
Rook:I am...glad to work with you again.
Y/N:Likewise.
Ben:Ill leave you two to your duties.Now if you excuse me I think I deserved a smoothie.
Rooks P.O.V.
This cannot be.I always enjoyed Y/Ns company during the academy but he is the one of the lowest ranking cadets.Soon her train of thoughts stopped because Y/N interrupted her.
Y/N:Rook?Rook,are you ok?
Rook:Yes I am well.Thanks for concern.Our first primary duty is morning patrol of Undertown for usual crooks and petty low life.
Ride went in satisfactory manner.No crooks or disturbances.Altough Y/N seems quite distracted.
If I didnt turned my head once in a while he would continue to stare at me.I experienced a lot of unusual Earth behavior from Ben,but nothing like this.It wasnt until noon untill we made a stop at one of the Undertowns restaurants where we could both eat something we found suitable.After the war with Incurseans there were more and more humans visiting Undertown which required a rise in suplies.Y/N was eating (Favorite food) while I enjoyed the Earth fruit papaya which was closest thing to amber ogia but not as sweet.It is such a shame that it can only grow properly on Revonnah.Y/N finished his meal with full-throated burp and resting on his chair with his head rolled back.It would seem that he only acts normal for himself at least,around me when he is eating.
Rook:Do you hate me,Y/N?
Y/N:What?!Why would you think that?
Rook:You do not seem to act the same when we are close and when we are not.Your grades seemed to had gone worse when we met.I just assumed we were in some quarrel I was not aware of.
Y/N:I...Cant say why.
Rook:Is it not common for partners to leave no secrets amongst themselves.
He seemed to try to think of the answer but when he could not do so he just lowered his head in defeat and sighed sadly.Then he got up and put the necessary amount of Taydens to pay for our meals.
Y/N:Lets just go finish the patrol.
We were once again on the road and once again in the award silence that was more unwelcomed then before.Could it be that I have somehow offended him in some way.It would not be an unusual accurance.I was not as practiced in Earth customs as I am now.

Im currently wrighting a report on our patrol in the Plumber central computer.I feel strong heat coming my way from the halls.Ben in his Pyronite form runs in the room almost out of breath.
Rook:Ben,what happened?!
Heatblast:No time to explain!Follow me!
Rook:Are we under an attack?
Heatblast:Theres no time!
Without a second tought I ran after him.Seeing Ben in such a hurry and panic could never be something below critical.He was always calm and colective even in the most dire situations.What could have possible couse this kind of distress.Was it Incursian invasion again?Rooters?Wilgax?!I follow Ben trough numerous corridors until he stopped at one of the halls.He got on left side of the door so I followed and did the same with the right.
Heatblast:Ok,I will start the wall of fire then you come in.Got it?
I nod aware of his serious tone that I always hoped for and never belived to be worried about. Heatblast burst in and envelops everything in his path in fire.I then jump in to witness something that I never thought I would see.The mysterious room turned out to be a small arena that served as a gym but that is not what caught me of guard.What surprised me more were hundred of red candles no doubt lit by Ben,forming a huge image of a heart with Y/N in the middle of it.
Rook:Ben...Y/N.What is all this?
Ben return to his human form and walked over to blushing Y/N.Ben put his left arm around Y/Ns shoulder with a satisfied smirk.
Ben:Y/N here has something to tell you.And hes been keeping it to himself since Plumber academy.
In confusion and I have to admit a mild interest I ask them what does that mean and Ben steps out of the way with Y/N slowly taking coutious steps towards me.
Y/N:Its not that I hate you or something and Im sorry if I made you feel that way but it wasnt that at all.The only reason why my gardes fell when we met was beacuse I couldnt think of anything but you.One of the reasons that I signed up to be a Plumber besides saving people,was to meet someone. That was the reason most guys show up and got expelled for.
He chuckles which brings me to do the same.Now I noticed that he was right in front of me or rather I was now in front of him.We were within a kissing distance.Something I only heard about from Earth movies and experienced plumbers that got married.Hesitating he goes for it and locks lips with me.
It was indescribeble.My lips as well as my cheeks began to heat up and it was not due to all the candles around me.Is this love?Is this what kept him so distracted all this time.Returning the kiss I surprise him but only for a second before he embraces my hand and I hug him as well.Besides our kissing the only sound filling the room is Ben patting himself on the back.
Ben:(Whistle)Am I a matchmaker or what.Please hold your applause.
Nothing,not even that big head of his could not stop this wonderful feeling.

Things have been calm lately.I brought Y/N to meet my parents who were at first distrustful of him but he managed to win them over after a week of what he said was excruciating work.Even my siblings loved him.Who knew Y/N had such a way with the young ones.Even Rook Shar congratulated me for being the fist to find a soulmate.
Ben in the meantime found a partner that would share his head thickness.Him and Kai were doing an adequate job on Earth where me and Y/N have spent our days on Revonnah as per request of my parents to which Y/N had no objection.It was so sweet of him that he wanted to learn more about my culture.I truly found happines.And on Earth no less.
