A new day had arisen. Kitiara was up early meditating and enjoying the peace of the morning in the patio.
" I spoke yesterday with mother. " Opal spoke sitting next to her cousin.
" And ? "
" I told her that I wanted to go with you to the Northern air temple and she allowed me to do so. We can leave whenever you wish. I am ready. " The young air bender informed the warrior.
The kyoshi warrior smiled. " I am glad hearing that. I will go and pack my things. Meet me in the stable in two hours. "
Opal nodded. " I will be there. "

Kitiara was packing her things. She wouldn't need much, considering the fact that they would go in a place which already possessed whatever she may needed.
Having done her bags for the trip. Kitiara run toward her bison to prepare him for flight.
When she completed the job, she went to the kitchens to have some quick breakfast.
She looked at her watch. She had still an hour.
She knocked on the door of her mother's chambers and waited her to open it.
A sigh was heard from the other side of the door.
Opening the door, Lin peeked at her daughter. " Don't you have better things to do except of waking me up ? "
Kitiara rolled her eyes. " Did you prefer to enter your room without knocking and start whispering you things while you were sleeping ? Just like I was doing when I was small and you were always reprimanding me ? "
The Chief's face went pale. " No, no. I like this one. Anyway, why did you wear your armor ? "
The warrior hugged her mother. " Me and Opal are leaving. Love ya. "
The officer hugged her daughter back. She knew that this moment would come sooner or later. " Love ya too, sweetheart. "
" Please, be careful. And don't try to kill Su now that I won't be around. "
Her mother laughed. " No. I won't. Thanks for taking care of me after my blackout. "
" You are my mom. You would have done the same. Right ? " The air bender teased her mother.
" Who do you think that was taking care of you when you were a baby ? Tenzin ? I'm sorry but if I don't watch out for the girl that was created in me, that's right, you were created inside of me, little one, you are even a copy of me in a younger age, then I am one of those stupids who abandon their children. "
" You were a loving mother. Even if Korra didn't believe me when I told her this. I am your week spot mommy. " Kitiara commented grinning.
" Yes, you are kiddo. " The policewoman kissed her forehead.
" Now, go. And remember, mom loves you more than anything in the world. " The woman added pulling away.
The warrior took a second to peer at her mother. " I know, mom. I love you too. " And with those words, the young woman disappeared in the corridor.

Kitiara wished good bye to everyone, Kitiara air bended to sit on the bison and took the bridles.
Opal sat on the saddle, excited because she was to fly for first time with a bison.
Waving at their family and friends, the girls left Zaofu.
How much both of them wanted to meet the rest of the air benders.

The flight was uneventful. Opal was enjoying it so much that she started talking and commenting everything.
Kitiara liked it in the beginning but then she completely ended up hating it. She politely told Opal to stop.
Opal ceased talking for 5 minutes but then begun doing it again.
Biting her lower lip, Kitiara used all of her energy in order not to do an impolite retort like her mother would.
Sighing in relief when she saw the air temple, the older air bender led her bison in the stable.
" Omg !!! We are here !!!! THE NORTHERN AIR TEMPLE !!!! OMGGGGG !!!! " Opal shouted and jumped off the bison.
" Wait, Opal. I hadn't said to father yet that we- " The kyoshi warrior stopped speaking when she realized that her cousin had entered the temple.
The warrior sighed and grabbed her bag following her friend.
Opal run through the corridors. This place was amazing. How much did she want to live here among other air benders, make friends and learn how to bend.
She stopped when she saw the air benders meditating in a garden.
There was an amount of 20 or 30 air benders sitting opposite to an air master.
This man must be Kitiara's father. How much she wanted to meet him too.
" Hello, how are you ? " Opal asked politely gaining the attention of all the benders.
" Fine. Who are you and what do you want here ? " Tenzin asked back frowning.
" You must be Tenzin. I have heard so much about you. I have a question. Was Kitiara an angel when she was small as she claims ? " The young woman inquired.
Tenzin was taken aback with that question. He opened his mouth to respond but Meelo cut in.
" Wait. You know Kitiara ? What's your name young lady ? "
" I am Opal. Opal Beifong. What's yours ? "
Meelo gasped. " I am Meelo. Just Meelo. And you must be- "
" Here you are ! " Kitiara run to sit next to her father panting while staring at Opal.
" Yes, I am here and I just met Meelo. Your sibling. "
" Half-sibling. " Kitiara corrected her. She, like her mom, wanted to make this clear.
Opal rolled her eyes. " Same thing. "
Kitiara raised an eyebrow. " No, it's not. Same father, different mother. I am far more... tougher... than them. "
Bumi, who was the only one who caught the joke ( You know... tough... like Toph... Yep, sorry if it's not funny ) started laughing. Kitiara giggled too.
Tenzin sighed. " Bumi ! Stop laughing and start meditating ! We are not here to have fun ! We are here to train ! "
Kitiara froze. Her father would have never said that. Something happened.
" Oh please Tenzin, how many times do I need to tell you ? I didn't mean what I said ! Stop being so strict and acting like a bitch ! " Bumi insisted.
" Well, I am sorry, Bumi but your method quite works. I am to keep it that way. " Her father retorted.
Bumi grimaced ready to concede defeat. However, he came up with an idea. " Alright, so now that Kitiara is here... and she is an air master like you... can she teaches as instead ? "
" No. " Tenzin refused.
" Why not ? She is a big girl !? Furthermore, Junira is also ready for teaching ! Those two together will train us at no time ! " Bumi added.

Everyone turned their heads to the young adult. " Father will stop being so strict if only all of you start paying attention to your lessons and training. You will do the basics with dad while I will be teaching you legends, myths, sports, culture, stories and various histories about the air nation. How does that sound to you ? "
Tenzin caressed his beard. " Mmm. Interesting. Sounds good to me. "
The air benders whispered what they wanted for a while until they made their decision.
" We are in. " Bumi announced.
" Perfectly. We start tomorrow. Now, Opal follow me. I want to show you the whole place here and be sure that you won't be lost. Is that clear ? "
