BIANCA POV
this morning i walked into the studio happily greeting abby and gianna at the desk. i was super excited to be back dancing this week.
"good morning!" i smiled and the two looked up smiling
"good morning bianca you ready to get back to work?" abby asked me and i nodded making my way to the den
i sat down next to maddie as she stretched and the other girls walked in. i wore a black and gray aldc sports bra with hot pink leggings and walked into studio a with the girls while my hair was in a low bun.
this week we had a new girl named fallon. she was the the orlando auditions. i've seen her at a few competitions when i was in orlando but i've always beaten her i'm pretty sure.
while fallon was introduced i realized kalani wasn't here which made me kinda sad "kalani's not here this week not because she's not a great dancer. the problem is her mother. she doesn't understand my rules."

i was honestly quite surprised at my placement on the pyramid since i only did a the improv. but since i won i'm sure that's the reason. "next bianca, you won the improv competition. you didn't need the whole week of rehearsal to come out on top."
"this week, we wit be traveling to Toledo, Ohio to attend, In10sity Dance Competition. and you all know what ohio means. rotten apples. we're going to have to see that women again."
at this maddie and chloe bumped my hips making me smile. i've been texting lucas a little bit since the last time we competed. we've become quite close over the last few weeks.
the group this week was called red with envy and it was mature. kenzie sat out this week only being able to learn the choreography but she let birdie stay in the dance "wait abby- mackenzie and birdie are the same age, same height. why aren't both them in it or out of it?" melissa asked which was a valid question so my mom didn't even bat an eyelash
"well birdie is a more mature dancer then mackenzie. she's beaten her with lyrical and contemporary. she dances like bianca in a sense. i actually think birde will kill this number." abby said and melissa didn't bother to continue after kenzie told her to drop it
this week fallon and kendall had solos "ms abby? i would love for fallon to compete againt bianca. just so she can show you how good she really is." fallons mom spoke up and i raised a brow at the mention of my name
"you don't think that she could do that against kendall?" jill asked to which cheryl didn't answer and abby hummed to herself
"fallon, do you think you could beat bianca?"
"yes ma'am i do." she nodded without hesitation and i gave a side eye to maddie who gave me one back.
"alright then. bianca you have a solo. this is a chance for kendall to prove herself and fallon to prove her spot on this team." i nodded with a smile
"i have duet this week. a new paring. chloe and bianca." abby said making us smile and hug each other tightly "it's musical theater, something you two do very well. especially together."
soon she sent the moms out and we started the group. i was put as the lead this week getting to show off my new skills "bianca, you threw some skills i didn't know you could do during the improv. so your the lead this week, we're throwing in any tricks you've mastered while in la." she told me and i nodded adjusting my top
gianna played the music and i threw a few tricks just to see what worked and what didn't.
after a few more we ended up putting four of the 6 tricks i showed ^. i honestly really liked the group and had a strong feeling we'd get another win. although fallon was having a hard time remembering choreography.
later in the day after rehearsals the team and i all went to visit ms miller. she currently wasn't doing well. my sister and i met ms miller my second week on the team and she was the sweetest to us.
i wore a brow north face puffer jacket with black flare leggings and white air force ones and my hair was up in a claw lip. we all greeted her with hugs and handed her the cards we made along with some flowers.
"i hope this break we take to come visit you doesn't work against us when we go against cathy this weekend." abby told her mother whose eyes got wide
"oh god." she said and we laughed at her reaction
abby had planned for us to dance for the people at the citizen center so after abby wheeled ms miller with the rest of the old people we all took turns improving. we all wore black leotards mine with a lace back sorta like chloe's.
after maddie and nia i went out while the song soldier played by beyoncé
i did a small bow coming off and birdie went after me as lay me down by sam smith played
afterwards while the music played we danced around with some old people and helped around the place.
TWO DAYS TILL COMPETITION
when we got to the studio later in the day and started solos. after two hours of watching fallon and kendall i went to the center of the room
my solo was called i have nothing and it was
lyrical "ok stand 4th position looking down. look up and walk, walk with dramatic shoulder. arms up then bend down feet together. up and prep a la second, three pirouettes pull up into posse. arms in 4th. come out step step back. and bring the right leg up."
my favorite thing about my solo rehearsals are how peaceful they are. abby's usually really calm during them. we usually finish in less then an hour. my solo was really pretty and the song was by whitney huston
once i finished my dance i went in the den for water and sat down next to chloe. i seen a text from lucas and i smiled opening it.

ms rival 🫡 : can't wait for my team to continue our winning streak
mr rival 🫡 : ok ms confident i see you
mr rival 🫡 : you got a solo this week
ms rival 🫡 : yeah
ms rival 🫡 : originally i didn't put the new girl we have this weeks mom wanted her to compete against me
ms rival 🫡 : there both confident she'll beat me

"texting lucas i see." chloe hummed making me smiled sending another text
"oh hush. we're friends." i said drinking some water and turning my phone off
"friends? yeah sure miss blusher." maddie said making me cover my face while they laugh
"chloe and bianca let's go!" abby called and we stood up going on with abby "your duets called hit me with a hot note. a little birdy told me candy apples has a duet. we need to beat them in every category." she told us
it was heavy with turns, acting and face paced. abby kept putting turns in since she thinks we're the best turners on the team
"really good girls. we only have a few 8 counts left." abby told us happily. she was very invested in our duet and gave us her full attention
ONE DAY TILL COMPETITION
after my tap private with maddie the rest of the girls got here and we immediately jumped into solos while moms were upstairs sewing costumes.
we watched fallon run her solo but she couldn't pick up fast at all. once she was done i ran my solo twice just to make it cleaner.
i could tell fallon was nervous for this week, but she shouldn't have given me the chance to give abby a win from me.
we ran the dance with gianna while abby went upstairs to the moms. "i can't- birdie go in the corner and help fallon with the choreography." gianna instructed
birdie nodded standing up and doing as told. abby came back down with the solo costumes and she handed me mine. originally it was a plain dark green two piece with a small skirt in the back but my mom added some rhinestone to make it pop. i also had a matching hair piece.
"bianca try this on and run your dance." abby told me and i nodded running to the bathroom and put it on quickly. i came back in seeing kendall in the middle of her dance
it was a little messy and abby wasn't really paying attention as kendall came out her last pose. i then went to the center as abby put her phone down and gianna played my music.
when i was one abby gianna and the girls applauded for me. after changing out my costume we ran the group a few more times.
"duet! your moms should've finished your costumes." abby said and we nodded going up to the view room
"did you guys finish our costumes?" chloe asked as we popped up behind them.
"yup here you go girls." my mom said as her and christi handed them to us. we smiled going down to the den and put them on
it was a bright red two piece with a fluffy short skirt in the back. we walked in and the girls smiled at us
"you guys look so cute." maddie said and we thanked her
we had already finished our duet and cleaned it at my house ( it was also an excuse for a sleep over ) the girls applauded us and abby was pleased. we ran it two more times before running the group again
"alright that's it. we're done. bus gets here in 10 minutes. get your stuff together girls."
we all thanked her and went in the den. this morning birdie and i left the house without our suitcases cause our dad took us to dance.
so after i changed into white sweatshirt and gray plaid pj pants with my white air forces. brody texted me that he was in the parking lot so i ran outside and over to his car "there in the trunk b." he told me
"wanna help me?" i asked sarcastically standing at his window
he groaned taking his seatbelt off "if you insist." he said getting out and popping his trunk. my brother drove a 1980 robin's egg blue CJ5 jeep. he also stopped at starbucks for us and got mom a coffee, birdie a frappe and cake pop and me a refresher and ham and swiss croissant.
he pulled out my purple suitcase and birdies yellow one. he closed his trunk and followed me into the studio. "hey brody thanks for bringing there stuff." my mom said coming down from the viewing room to hug him and he handed her the coffee.
"no problem. i love leaving my comfy bed to drive in the cold and do labor." he said sarcastically and my mom lightly smacked the back of his neck
birdie came out the den and brody handed her the suitcase "thanks brody." she said hugging him and i did the same
"no problem. good luck this weekend." he told us and waved to abby and gianna as he left the studio and got in his car
the bus pulled up soon after and we all got on after storing our luggage in the bottom of the bus. i got in the back with chloe and shared my drink with her. we watched phineas and ferb and fell asleep after about an hour or so.
through my sleepiness i could hear abby yell at fallon about a costume. "what is she going on about?" i whispered to chloe
"fallon and her costume. i think she left it or something." she whispered back and my eyes widen
"oh this is her first and last bus ride." i said shaking my head and pressed another episode of phineas and ferb
COMPETITION DAY
it was competition day and i was extremely excited. more then usual. my mom did my hair in a side bun and sewed in my dark green headpiece. i then put on a black aldc hoodie with with flare leggings and my air forces.
we walked through the competition behind the candy apples. when no one was looking i made my way over to lucas "hey bianca." he smiled
"hey." i said and he gave me a hug. we talked only for a little until we we pulled to our dressing rooms.
i started working on my makeup and when done i changed into my dark green costume. it was really pretty and kendall and i took a few pictures together before marking our solos with abby
"beautiful bianca. remember make it look easy. it flows just perfectly." she told me and i nodded. i pulled my team jacket out from my suitcase and pulled it on.
we went backstage and by then gavin went onstage and did his solo. it was pretty good but i didn't really watch, two into running my solo.
"you look pretty bianca." i heard and turned to see lucas and i smiled
"thanks. i'm actually really excited for my solo." i told him
"that's great. what's it called?"
"i have nothing by whitney houston. it's lyrical." i said as gavin came offstage. kendall went onstage and i watched her a little bit before i went in the wings doing the aldc ritual
"and this is bianca with i have nothing." i walked onstage hearing the cheers but the one that stuck out to me was the one from lucas.
i came off happy with myself as the girls hugged me. i went over to get a water and was met with lucas who gave me a hug "that was really good b, your giving gavin a run for his money."
"i hope so. i kinda need to win this week. fallon and her mom are dead set on beating me." i said drinking my water careful not to mess up my lipstick
we watched as fallon went onstage and barley halfway through our dance she sliced her knee on the tape on the floor and forgot her dance. she went around improving and i felt bad
"i wouldn't count yourself out b." he whispered and i nodded as she went onstage immediately running to find her mom
"i feel so bad. she knew that dance right?" nia said as the girls came over to me
birdie handed me my jacket and i agreed "b we gotta get ready for our duet." chloe told me
"oh mckenzie and keara have a duet." lucas told us and we looked at the girls who were marking it in the corner
"that's the duet abby was talking about?" i asked no one in particular
"you guys have absolutely nothing to worry about." kendall told us as mckenzie and keara walked closer definitely hearing it
"kendall that's mean." maddie told her "it's true though." she defended
chloe and i rushed off to the dressing room where the cadc moms walked out. we ignored them grabbing our costumes and changing into them.
we clipped in our headpieces and marked the dance as abby walked in to talk to fallon "and you thought you were gonna beat bianca. you both were way over your heads."
once chloe and i were ready, abby wished us good luck and we went backstage holding hands and swinging our arms.
we did our aldc ritual as the cadc girls walked offstage "good luck guys." "blondes for the win." "love you guys."
"and welcome to the stage chloe and bianca with hit me with a hot note."
we came offstage and immediately hugged each other "we did so good." chloe breathed out
"blondes for the win." i cheered quietly as we went with the girls back to change for the group and we marked the dance
"girls give bianca the space to warm up her tricks." abby said as the girls did so. i warmed up my legs and did the four big tricks i did center stage.
are number was just about up so we went into the wings quickly doing our ritual before being announced.
i felt really good about this number so i made sure to put my all into faces and my tricks. with every trick i threw i head many cheers.
i ended the dance with a perfect turn sequence into a knee drop and i did a seat roll to stand and walked off opposite of the other girls.
i ran around the stage and tackled the girls in a hug as they all were clearly happy about how we did, as we all should be "good job guys." cathy told us genuinely
"thank you." we all thanked her. i was kinda confused as to why she was backstage but then she turned to her team
"ok, so, guys, listen to me. i know that you guys love this dance, and I know that you've worked hard, but ultimately, it is my decision. i don't think this dance is ready." cathy said and we all looked at each other as we were eavesdropping
but what could be heard from the audience was them chanting "let's go, let's go. on with the show!"
"we're gonna have to get back in the studio the following week and work it out. " she concluded and we looked at each other shocked at her decision. some of the kids on her team teared up.
she'd rather pull the dance then risk losing.
we all went backstage and sat in the row in front of the moms and i turned to them "what's happening?" abby asked me as all the moms sat forward
"basically cathy was saying that after watching our dance there dance wasn't clean enough and they needed another week. she's the only one saying not to do it, everyone else wants too." i told them and abby scoffed and soon cathy and the choreographer sat down in the row behind the moms
AWARDS
awards eventually rolled around and we all sat down with our ye jackets. i held hands with maddie and chloe as they entered the junior elite solos.
"fifth place is miss olivia, with act number nine, "havana." in fourth place, with a score of 276.3 points, is miss fallon with act number 17, "voices in my head." the spread between our third overall and second overall is one-tenth of a point. third place with a score of of 283.4 points is act number 18 kendall and your first runner up is act number 16 gavin with "better when your there."
"and now ladies and gentlemen. your highest scouring solo of the entire day. also taking home the technical award along with the moving award. with an almost perfect score of 296.8" he trailed off as my jaw dropped at what was just said and chloe and maddie just squeezed my hand tighter
"miss bianca with i have nothing!" i smiled brightly standing up next to gavin. i was handed a trophy along with two small plaques that had my technical and moving awards on it "and who choreographed this for you?"
"miss abby lee miller and miss gianna martello." i said smiling
"and your studio real nice and loud for us."
"abby lee dance company!" i cheered getting another round of applause and proud smiles from my mom abby and gianna.
i sat back down and the girls hugged and high fived me as they moved onto awards. i looked over to lucas who gave me a thumbs up. we reached behind our teammates and high fived as they looked at us confused
"and now our top 5 junior elite duet/trios. 5th overall is liars. 4th overall is shine bright. 3rd overall is the take over." chloe and i clapped as mckenzie stood up to grab there award
"and first overall junior elite duet/trios is hit me with a hot note!" chloe and i jumped up smiling going over to the front
"congratulations, your studio real nice and loud!"
"abby lee dance company!" we cheered and took a final bow. we sat back down and hugged each other tightly
"now for our elite junior small groups. Starting off in third place, is act number 34, "Push It." In second place is act number 44, "In Memory of Daddy." So winning first overall in our Elite Junior Small Group Division ..is act number 47 "Red with Envy."
we all stood up cheering as they handed maddie the award "congratulations ladies. On the count of three, the name of your studio, one, two, three."

we all took and bow and immediately ran off to the the dressing room and when the moms let us in we filled the room with cheers. we all ran to abby and gave her a hug.

"bianca come over here." abby said and i went over and she pulled me into a hug "congratulations! first overall solo, three awards. in10sity here in ohio is going to remember you." she said making me smile
the girls and i all packed up and went to change out our costumes. once we left the competition the moms took us to get ice cream.
