𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗥𝗢𝗘'𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗩
it's monday — which means another start to another boring week
well i shouldn't say boring, speaking halloween is literally tommorow
which means lilac and mom went all out on halloween decor. it looks like a haunted house
"ok so, who are we dressing up as?" i asked
"uhh. i don't know.." lilac said
i'm suprised, usually she has an idea two weeks before halloween
"the powerpuff girls?" lilac asked
"no, amber is going to make fun of us" i said, shaking my head
"who cares if she makes fun of us? she's just some boring popular girl who has no personality whatsoever" lilac said
"how about rosa dresses up as marilyn monroe? since her last name is monroe. it'd be ironic i guess" violet suggested
"i like that idea but i dont have blonde hair or blue eyes. and what would you guys dress up as? we need to match" i said
"then we can dress up as other women from the 50s, like judy garland or grace kelly" lilac said
"but what are we going to do about my hair and eyes?" i asked
"you ever heard of a wig and color contacts?" lilac said with a smirk

lilac decided we go shopping after school. and we made it official we'll be dressing up as women from the 50s. i'll dress up as marilyn monroe, lilac will be dressing up as judy garland, and violet will be grace kelly.
"anyways- wait, is that tristan?!" lilac asked
"holy shit it is! tristan!!" she yelled
he turned his head in out direction and looked around for a second, then running up to us
"hey guys" he said
"where we you? we thought you died!" lilac asked
"oh, i was visiting my family in mexico. i didn't get a chance to tell you" he said
"you're mexican?" lilac asked
"yeah"
"really? you don't look mexican, you have blonde hair" raven said, suddenly popping up in behind him
"raven! stop going by stereotypes" said another girl, who i don't know the name of
"well i am, if you don't believe me you can ask my sister" he said
"you have a sister?" i asked
he didn't get a chance to respond because a few girls joined in on the conversation and started asking him questions

"addison anderson" mr. hall said
"here"
"quinn brooks"
"hey"
i tuned out his voice till he got to ambers name
"amber mariens"
"present"
"rosalind monroe"
"hello"
and to my suprise both cher horowitz and elton tiscia both looked at me
cher sent me a small smile and turned her attention back to the front of the classroom where mr. hall sat
and elton just winked at me with a smirk
"holy shit! elton just winked at you" tristan said, leaning over
"yeah it's nothing special. he only sees me as his winter fling, nothing more" i said, excusing the topic
"miss monroe and mr monet, i'd appreciate if you'd stop talking and pay attention" he said
we stopped talking as he continued
"there's a project i'm assigning you. it's a two person project and the due date is next week. any questions?" he said
a girl with blonde hair raised her hand
"yes miss parker?"
"can we pick partners?" she asked
"no, i'll be choosing them for you"
the class groaned, including me and tristan
"are you serious? it's due next week!" i whispered to tristan
"and halloween is tommorow! that should be illegal!" he said
"miss monroe and mr monet, do i have to ask again? stop talking. or else i'm going to have to seperate you" he said
he then picked up a sheet of paper and started listing names
"tristan monet and willow berezovsky, you'll be group a" he said
"cher horowitz and rosalind monroe, group b" he said, cher smiled at me while elton was clearly disappointed

school ended and i forgot about the project till cher walked up to me and asked who's house we're doing the project at
"uhh, my house maybe? if it's okay with you" i suggested
"yeah! that's perfect" she said as she walked away with a smile on her face
she then paused in her tracks and walked back up to me
"oh and? what's your address?"

"oh my god i'm going to meet her parents" i said, squealing to dionne
"relax, it's just a project" she said
"exactly! a project with rosalind! that means me and her are going to hang out!!" i squealed
"did i mention i also got her address?" i said
"who's address?" tai said, walking up to us
"rosalind monroe's, she's been totally crushing on the girl for a week now"
"you're a lesbian?"
"you're saying it like it's a bad thing. and no, i'm not. but can you believe i got her address!!"
similar to what happened like 3 weeks ago i now have a crush on rosalind. i've had a crush on her for a week now! a week! i'm starting to think i'm in love with her!

since dad totally banned me from using my car without supervision i wasn't able to drive to rosalind's house by myself, and that's why dionne is currently driving me
"i'm starting to think i'm in love with her" i said, looking out the car window dramatically
"you've known her for less than a month" she said
"well it's love at first sight then" i sighed out
"can i be honest with you?" she asked
"no" i said
"too bad, as you're friend i'm trying to make sure you don't get heartbroken. i don't think she's a lesbian, and in fact i think she's into elton"
"dionne! why'd you say that? that's rude"
"i'm making sure you don't get heartbroken"
"that's still-"
"and we're here, i'll pick you up at nine" she said
"alrighty, bye! wish me luck" i said, smiling as i opened the car door and got out
i knocked on the door and it was quick to open
"hello, come inside" a women said with a smile, who i'm assuming is her older sister
as i stepped inside i noticed the house was decorated in a bunch of halloween decor. but besides that, the house was stunning
"i'm jennifer, rosalind's mom" her words shocked me, she looked extremely young to be a mom to a 16 year old
i was about to introduce myself but rosalind was quick to walk into the foyer
i smiled at her and she returned it as she lead me up the stairs
"my apologies if you hear talking downstairs, lilac's over" she said
as we walked into her room it was very nice and organized
one thing that confused me is it looks like two people are living in her room, but i didn't say anything about it
me and her sat on her bed, and in that moment i realized i was in rosalind monroe's house, on her bed, and i just met her mom
oh my god
im even talking to her!
i think we're soulmates!!
