JJ looked at the girl and didn't want to wait a second longer without pulling her tiny body into his arms and so he did, "I'm sorry" He said as she wrapped her arms around him and he stroked her hair. "Don't make me leave you ever again JJ" she said with her voice breaking slightly. He was so happy that he was finally able to see her again. "ei lovebirds, i don't think we have time for this" Cleo with a thick accent spoke.
The two of them letting go of eachother and Kayla looked at a wide smiled Kie her bestfriend as she hugged her too. All of them soon stopped when they decided to share their ideas and plans in order to get them out of there and getting Pope's cross back and with everything planned out and Cleo on their side letting them know what exactly they were up against, someone named Eberhimi, Pope and Cleo got off the container.
"so ward's alive?" JJ asked as they waited for Pope and Cleo and both John B and Kayla nodded. "Hey, how exactly did you get in here?" JJ asked Kayla as the others curiously listened. "clearly in a better way than this" She said sitting in the container hot enough to make it feel like a sauna.
"you wanna go on a surf trip to Spain?" JJ asked randomly, Kayla looked at him with a confused face but a soft smile, "yeah but like you'd have to really work on your Spanish" she smiled "Is this what fourth wheeling feels like kie, I think so" John B added before hearing some noises.
all the passengers and crew report to the tween forward hull immediately, its an order.
"They took the bridge" John B smiled looking at us. "That's my boy" JJ cheered getting out of the container. Everybody went in to where they were called. John B went somewhere else but Kie, JJ and Kayla ran as soon as everyone got in pushing the door to close. Kayla pushed with all her might and JJ put his hand around her and helped, maybe the wrong time but when JJ's hands were around her she felt so many butterflies.
"There's another door" they soon realized and ran to the opposite side closing that door as well, as the people inside began yelling and screaming causing a huge hassle inside. The three of them ran in search of the cross, in a small room on a box "there she is" JJ said smiling as the three of them chanted "surf trip, surf trip, surf trip" and Pope opened up the top and the sun shone on all their faces.
"The time where people do shit to us and we just sit back and take it is over!" Pope spoke and the rest of the pogues cheered. Using a Crain to carry the cross with the help of Pope and Cleo. While they carried it up they ran outside waiting to meet up together and get the lifeboat and leave.
So they ran outside. Right at the moment the people went after Pope and Cleo. "If we can't have it no one can, sorry Denmark" Pope said dropping the cross but Rafe who was watching this ran towards it holding it tight from the rope. The amount of power he had to hold onto it is mind-blowing. At the same time John B was fighting with ward, he had the opportunity to do what Ward did to his father but he was much better than that so he took Sarah and the life boat and jumped off.
Kiara, JJ and Kayla began running up to where Pope and Cleo were when Eberhimi, the captain of the crew, stood there with a long knife in his hand. "Ofcourse there's more of you" He said. Kayla awkwardly stood and waved. "Get dowm on your knees" He yelled charging at them. "Yeah not going to happen." JJ said fighting him as both kie and kayla helped. 3 against one was an easy game. Even though Eberhimi had the power of 2. Just before they thought they were winning.
In walked in another crew member. Now the match slightly harder than before. "Hit him kayla!" JJ yelled. When Eberhimi threw his knife at Kie, "lookout!" Kayla yelled and Kiara ducked, causing Eberhimi's knife to slash JJ as he fell backwards. "JJ! JJ!" Kayla screamed progressively getting louder, she felt as if she was the one sliced up by the knife. Kiara fought eberhimi and was somehow able to escape them by jumping off board to where JJ was.
the other man pulling Kayla back making her unable to go see what happened. "Kie!" She yelled. Kayla wasn't the strongest of the pogues but her pain and anger got to her and she kicked the man in the gut and trampled eberhimi running to the edge and seeing Kiara holding JJ. Her eyes began pooling quicker than a flash of lighting. Her eyes red and she covered her mouth looking at her boyfriend who didn't seem to have the slightest bit of life in him.
She knew that now kie was down there and they needed to get the boat, jumping down with kiara would just lose their chances of escaping safe. She needed to let John B know where where were to save them. So she ran to the opposite side. Her heart hurting to see JJ down there and she wanted to be the one holding him instead of kiara. "John B!" Kayla screamed running to find the life boat. "Sarah!" Her voice cracking and breaking down and tears started rushing down her face. "Kayla!" She heard them yell back and she went to the edge and saw them on the life boat. "JJ! JJ is there on the other side with kiara!" She yelled from up in a rush. She didn't want to think that after everything she had gone through with JJ that it was going to all end with a life being taken away.
"Kayla meet us there!" John B yelled as kayla nodded while taking deep breath and wiping her tears, JJ didn't die. He can't. She told herself running down to where they were. "JJ! Kie stay there they're coming" kayla yelled from up before coming to the edge ready to make the jump.
Rafe cameron pulled her back. She heard kiara's voice, "wake up JJ" and she tried to push away rafe to go with the pogues. "JJ!" Kayla yelled her voice distorted. He was going to wake up and she was going to be with him. They were going to go on a surf trip, get married in the beach, travel the world. She didn't remember the last time she said the words i love you to him or the last time she tasted his lips. Rafe still holding on tight as the girl began screaming. She slowly started getting weaker letting her thoughts over take her strength. Her thoughts of losing JJ forever.
The pogues put JJ and Kie onto the lifeboat, "Where's kayla?" John B asked kiara and she shook her head. "No, no we're gonna wait for her!" John B said looking up at the boat but not seeing anyone. They were too far away from the boat to hear her screams and cries. "We don't have time man" Cleo said as she began to drive off.
Never leave a pogue behind.
They said.
Kayla still screaming and breaking down, Rafe's hand around her torso as she tried to break his grip but when she did she ran to the edge of the boat but the pogues were too far away. She didn't care if she didn't get to escape she would one day see them again. But when she looked at the boat she saw the pogues attempting to revive the lifeless body of JJ Maybank. Ofcourse JJ was alive but Kayla didn't see that yet. She saw John B and Kiara moving a body that didn't seem to have the slightest movement. "JJ!" Kayla yelled. "No no no! No! JJ" kayla said falling back. She felt a whole In her heart, every single moment she wished she experienced with him flashed right before her eyes.
She had told herself when she lost her parents, nothing would ever hurt her more. Losing JJ brought that feeling right back. The feeling of wanting to have one more conversation with him. Share one more kiss she hated herself for leaving him to help Rafe. "You'll get over it" people say. But to lose your love alters your life forever.
Have you heard of the classical story of Romeo and Juliet. Ofcourse you have. Two people fall in love, their parents not wanting them to be together. One day Juliet fakes her death but Romeo didn't know and he took his life because he'd rather be dead than live without her. Kayla saw a gun there right infront of her. "Kay what're you doing?" Rafe saw her pulling gun, too long to hold to her head so she kept it down aiming it under her chin.
Everyone dies.
Your parents, your siblings, you're loved ones.
It all goes away eventually, everything.
Kayla held her breath hoping that she will see JJ, maybe even her parents. Rafe came running. "Kay...kay" He said holding his hands up and walking close to her. Kayla heard his voice but distorted her eyes still shut but tears spilling she gritted her teeth holding the trigger. "Kay" Rafe didn't know what to do or how to stop her. He didn't want to lose her and he was afraid of watching her kill herself right infront of him.
She thought deeply, JJ wouldn't want her to give her life up. She was too young for that. It was all mixed feelings when she dropped the gun. Once again running her fingers through her hair as she started tearing up. Rafe took the gun and looked at the pogues who was getting away. He aimed it at them and then heard Kayla's cries, he didn't shoot them. Not because he was getting better but because he didn't want to hurt Kayla. "It hurts!" Kayla said holding her head and crying as Rafe dropped the gun going up to her.
He tried to hold her in his arms but she pushed him away, "no get away from me!" She screamed. He didn't want to leave her to grieve, she almost took her life so he pushed her tiny hands away forcefully hugging her. "No no" kayla tried to push him away but she soon took comfort in him.
One thing she realized and understood. There was a reason Rafe was able to kill so many people without feeling guilty. Letting go of all your emotions and cutting people off your life not letting them have a place. Becoming a psychopath. Maybe if she did do that she wouldn't feel the pain of grieving loss. Loss of the man she loved. A loss that came so sudden but that didn't mean it all went away at once. Losing his scent, the memories fading. Praying for one more chance to see him again and finish all their plans. Grieving for so long Rafe helping her on the way. The pain never left and she decided that she wasn't going to let it affect her anymore. She couldn't take it any longer and influenced by a family such as the camerons.
The only way she could move forward in life was by doing one thing and one thing only. turning herself into another Rafe cameron Or as JJ would call him, a psychopath.
