The outer banks paradise one earth, its the sort of place where you either have two jobs or two houses. The place is every teenagers dream.

two tribes, one island.

Figure eight the rich side of the island, home of the kooks. You know cute boys golf courses, richy rich parties.

The south side or the cut home of the working class who make a living busing tables, washing yachts, running charters. it's the natural habitat of the.....drumroll please.....pogues.

My friends, the pogies or pogues. Best people ever to be honest. Wether it's a life of death, love or anger we will all have each others back ever step of the way.

John B would say downside of the pogue life is we are ignored and neglected but the upside of the pogue life is, we are ignored and neglected. Which means we do whatever we want, whenever we want. clearly the best part of being one of us.

That's JJ. I've known him since like 4th grade. He's about as local as they come. Latest in a long line of fishing, drinking , smuggling etc. Best surfer I know and not to mention he is very very hot. Just, don't tell him I said that.

That's Kiara or kie as we call her. when not saving turtles, listening to Marley or getting a dolphin tattoo she hangs out with me and the pogues. she started hanging with the guys when we first became friends. she's a rich kid actually. her family owns "the wreck" an outer banks institution. total cash cow with the tourists. I'm pretty sure all the guys have a thing for her, she's gorgeous so I wouldn't blame them.

John Booker or better known as john B, the guy is my brother. we've been besties since the day I learnt how to talk. His dad went missing a couple months ago. Disappeared at sea looking for a shipwreck. I miss him just as much as john B does, he was like a father to me. His mom split when he was three. As of right now John B is an emancipated minor living on his own. hanging with us.

And I'm kayla. lived in the cut all my life, its where my dad grew up. mom was a part of figure eight but she came to live here, according to her to her pogue life was way more fun.

Grandpa as in my mom's father, didn't really approve of my dad so you know how that went. Being a rebel and choosing love over reputation is what she did and I love her for it.

My parents passed away exactly three years, two months and 13 days ago. I miss them every single day. That's when I had to live with my grandparents the kook side. made a couple friends there, including kie and one special boy.
