Herbal Tea?

════ ⋆★⋆ ════

Ever since Elliot had let Rebekah in and she had told her all about her past and showed her metal arm to the blonde, the two of them were closer than ever. Having transparency between the two of them, helped further their friendship and made them trust each other more than they had before.

They were fully comfortable around each other. Rebekah had shared her backstory and Elliot had shared her backstory. The two knew practically everything about each other. Elliot even now walked around the apartment without the gloves like she did when she had lived alone.

Everything seemed to be going perfect.

However, there were some issues....

Elliot was still ignoring her best friend, Natasha. It wasn't because she was mad at her. Or that she was replacing her or anything. It was because she didn't know what to say to the redhead and she also didn't want to admit that she had been right about everything she had said. Elliot was stubborn like that. Never wanting to admit when she was wrong. It was one of the worst traits that she had.

Amongst other things.

The ringtone began sounding on her phone as she sat in the kitchen of the apartment in the middle of the night. Looking at it, she saw that it was Natasha...so she declined it.

Sighing in annoyance at herself, she shoved her phone into her pocket, angrily. Her self hate was suffocating and infuriating. She then grabbed her keys from the hook they were on and left her apartment, heading towards the coffee shop she went to every night.

However, recently, she hadn't been going. The words that Natasha had said to her had been ringing through her head. 'You're killing yourself.' But Elliot didn't think coffee could actually do that much damage, could it? But then when she added the aspect her not sleeping...ever. She began to see how problematic it could be. And as much as Elliot didn't want to admit it,  she debated for a few nights about whether she should succumb to her habits and urges of caffeine.

And until tonight, she hadn't.

The lights of the shop were dim like they always were at the early hours of the morning. Virginia had already gone upstairs to bed after giving the brunette a hug and reassurance, while Elliot had poured herself a mug of coffee.

But instead of drinking it, she just stared at it.

Maybe she wished that she could've brought herself to drink the one thing that made her live through each day. That made each day bearable. The one thing she had depended on for a very very long time.

But she couldn't.

Her phone then ran again, looking at the ID, she once again declined the call. However, guilt soon began to rush over her as she realized it had been days since she last talked to the redhead.

Nat

Pick up your damn phone!!!

El

Sorry. I'm so sorry. I just can never admit when I'm wrong. But hey, no more coffee for me:)

Elliot then powered off her phone completely, before dumping out the contents of her cup down the drain of the sink. When she returned to her table, she had a nice cup of decaffeinated herbal tea in front of her.

"Lovely." The brunette grumbled as she stared at the steam billowing off of the mug.

Morning rolled around, leaving a very grumpy Elliot in its wake. She was staring at her eighth cup of herbal tea.

She missed coffee.

The buzz that caffeine gave her. The rush.

Nonetheless, she drank the eighth mug of tea before opening up the little coffee shop. She then changed into her clothes for the day, before exiting the quaint shop with a to go cup in her hand. Once again...it was filled with tea rather than coffee.

Much to her dismay.

As soon as she did, she sensed that someone was following her. Someone that most likely assumed that she wasn't aware of them.

But she was.

When she felt them get closer to her, she let them. And then the next thing she knew was that she was letting herself get her head smashed against a wall, wanting to know what the person wanted from her.

Oh, the things she did for her curiosity.
