"Destroy it???" they all exclaimed when I explained to them what Asmodeus said kanina. Although wala akong sinabi na anak siya ni Asmodeus because they might panic. All I told them is that we heard it from Diablo's friend. Ngayon kasi, nandito kami sa isang public library na malayo sa kastilyo.
"Our mission is to hand it over to our Emperor but a demon Emperor said to destroy it, why though?" Velvet asked
"There must have been a reason why the Emperor need it, or maybe he plans to destroy it?" Aqua said
"Who knows" sagot ko naman
"But one thing is for sure here.." I added
"There must have been a heavy reason why the 3rd Emperor hid it, whatever it is, we must search for it" biglang singit ni Lance. We were thinking the same thing.
"or maybe the answer lies on the dungeon" I said and Lance nodded
"Let's look for some information about this dungeon" Lance suggested
"D-Did you just say dungeon?" rinig namin mula sa kabilang shelf kaya agad akong tumayo at pumunta sa likod ng shelf
"We did. Do you know anything about the dungeon?" I asked
He was a little boy holding a cart full of books.
"Y-Yes, I read something about it. I love book, you know" he said with a smile
"Where is that book now?" I asked
"The Emperor asked us to burn it yesterday" he answered and my eyes widen. Why the hell would he burn it?
Dinala ko ang batang lalaki sa mesa kung saan kami nag uusap lahat. Pinaupo namin siya at hinintay na magsalita siya.
"That dungeon you were talking about" he said
"is really really really dangerous. You must not go there. It's a demon's lair. You can never go back." he said with fear
"M-My papa, he was the best Adventurer in our town and the only thing that came back is his hand, out of 20 of them one survived." he said
"Where is that survivor now?" I asked
"He died" he answered
"Died??? How?" I asked
"He hung himself" he answered with a shaky voice
If this dungeon is very dangerous, why do we have to get that fucking scroll? Wala namang mangyayari kapag hindi yun kukunin. It's safe there, why do we have to disturb it?
"T-That dungeon lies in the deepest region of the Northwood Pines. And you know what's the most ironic thing?" he said with tears
"Those people who found the dungeon never came back. There was only one group who never came back but the rest of the groups who went in came back with one or two survivor but died after a few days. Those groups with survivors were actually killed in the forest, not in the dungeon." he added
"You mean, if the group came back, they didn't reach the dungeon but instead, they were killed or attacked in the jungle and when a group never comes back, they made it but they died in the dungeon?" Lance asked and he nodded
"According to the book na nabasa ko, the Northwood Pines is the home of Cerberus, Lucifer's pet. A three headed lion with a snake tail and an elephant body. He guards the Northwood Pines and the Tombs of Horror" he said
"Tombs of Horror?" asked
"That's what the dungeon is called" he answered
"Although the book mentioned about Cerberus, my uncle who survived told me to warn adventurers about unknown monsters. In fact, it was not a Cerberus who attacked them, it was a huge monster standing with two feet only but it's mouth is huge." he added
"A huge monster standing with two feet and a huge mouth?" I asked and he nodded
"The way he described it, it looked like this" he said at kumuha ng pen and he started to draw.
"Woah ang galing mong gumuhit pero- AH ANO YAN" Velvet said
"I've never seen anything like that, are you sure about this??" Prince Dylan said
"Kahit sa libro wala" Aqua added
"Right" Lance added at napatingin sila sakin na nakatitig sa drawing
"W-Why are you in silent mode? D-D-Don't tell me you know what this is" Velvet said with her eyes widen
Huminga ako ng malalim at kinuha ang ginuhit ng bata. I stared at it pero kahit anong tingin ko dinosaur talaga to eh gago. Should I tell them I know this?
"Lotus, answer me" Velvet said while shaking my arm
"This" I said at natahimik silang lahat
"This thing is a dinosaur" I added at kinuha ni Lance yung guhit at napatingin sakin
"You what this thing is??" he asked and I added
"It's a dinosaur. It's a carnivore and it's favorite food is humans. It doesn't matter if a human has magic or not, it's just-- it eats humans." I answered and their eyes widen well hindi na nagulat si Diablo, I guess he know what this is, he got a part of me so I bet he has some of my memories of my past life.
"There are many types of dinosaur but off all the them, this is the most violent one. This dinosaur is called Tyrannosaurus rex" I added at nahulog ni Lance yung hawak niang guhit
"T-Tyra.... what?" Lance asked with confusion
"Tyrannosaurus rex, the rex on its name means King so basically, it's the King of dinosaurs" I answered at napaupo silang lahat at napahawak ng ulo yung iba
"How the hell do you know these things, you're driving me nuts" Velvet said with a nervous smile
"Books" Diablo replied
"She love to read books about legends" he added
"Anyway, kahit alam niyo kung ano to, you can't complete the dungeon. I told you it's a demon's lair. Mere humans can't complete it." he complained
"My guardian is a demon" I asnwered at umiling siya
"Kahit pa, the Tombs of Horror was made by the 7 Emperors of Hell so it's impossible! Sila lang ang may hawak ng mapa!" he shouted
"Nako, anong gagawin natin?" Aqua said and sighed
"Little boy, what's your name?" I asked
"Nathan" he answered
"Well Nathan, thank you for giving us so much information, It was helpful." I said pero bigla siyang tumayo na para bang galit
"Di niyo ba ako naiintindihan?? Just don't go there!! You will die!!" he shouted
"Hey" biglang tawag ni Diablo at napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya
"Don't worry, we won't die." I interrupted and I glanced back at Nathat
"How can you be so sure? Ayoko ko nang may mamamatay kagaya ni papa" he said and started crying
"Kid, you're not facing a low-ranked demon" he said at napatigil sa pag iyak si Nathan
"You're facing the King of Hell, son of the 3rd Emperor, Asmodeus"
"Y-You've got to be kidding me" I heard Prince Dylan whispered at napaupo sa sahig
"Too many surprises, I can't handle" sabi ni Aqua habang tumayo at napasandal sa shelf holding her forehead and she let go a deep sigh
"W-What.." hindi man lang natapos ni Velvet yung sinabi niya at napailing with a nervous smile
"That's unexpected" Lance said calmly with a smile
"See?" I said while glancing at Nathan
"I told you we won't die" I added and smiled
