*TW: Drugs*
It was 1am and you were fast asleep in your bed. It was a winters night with snow falling peacefully outside. You had, had a pretty messed up child hood. Your dad was always in and out of prison and so was your brother. You were forced to take drugs at a young age. Your brother was happy with this arrangement however you were not. When you were 14 you finally stood up against your dad. You told him what your childhood was like was wrong and that no other 14 year old had smoked/Snorted as many drugs as you had. You dad didn't like this backchat and started calling you all kinds of names. He grabbed your hair and threw you out. You were in and out of foster care until 18 when you got a place of your own. Your now 21 and you have a job as a student teacher at a local elementary school.
You were woken up by a noise coming from outside of your bedroom door
"Who's there?" You called out reaching for the closest weapon which was a knife
The one thing your dad taught you that was useful was to always keep something to protect yourself. As you never know what could happen.
"I'm not scared of you!" You shout as you approach your bedroom door
Someone then bursts in. Their faces covered and guns in their hands. They grab you by your hair and drag you out. They sit you on your couch and tie you up.
"Always daddy's little princess/ Prince huh!" The man yells in a husky voice
"Always the favourite who never got what was coming to them! Well today is the day you finally don't walk out alive!" Another man yells with his voice slightly higher
"I haven't done anything wrong!" You screamed
You recognised the second mans voice. Almost like you'd heard it before. You couldn't quite pin point where you'd heard it from.
"LAPD! Get your hands up!" A man yells
The 2 men holding you start to leg it.
"Luca! Chris! Get the girl!" A man orders as the rest of the guys run after the man
You can feel someone touching your face and then they pull down your blindfold.
"Hey! I'm Luca! And this is Chris! Can you tell us your name?" Luca asks calmly
"It's Uhh Y/N" you explain as your hands shake
"They grabbed me! I - I couldn't scream or they would shoot me!" You shout in a panic
"It's okay! We're here now" Luca says as he unties you and gets you up
They take you down to the station and sit you in the kitchen. Luca then walks back in along with Chris
"Y/N Ashford, son of" Chris says before you cut her off
"The biggest drug lord in LA, Roman Ashford!" You reply
"And the brother of Kingston Ashford. Who just got sentenced to 3 years in prison for the assault of Alisa Evans" Chris explains
"I've not seen my brother nor my dad since I was 14 years old, I ran away from that life when I had the chance" You explain
"So you didn't have anything to do with this attack today?" Chris asks as your gobsmacked
"Your seriously suggesting that I planned my own attack just to help my father get closer to the police? I don't think so! I would never protect that man! I had heroin in my system at the age of 8! I was high nearly ever night! Because my father wanted me to be "strong" and be able to handle things like a man! I was the first born! And I didn't want anything to do with the family business! Do you know how much embarrassment that caused him!" You yell
"Okay, we know you weren't involved. We just need some details on who you think was" Luca says softly
"My father has tons of connections. Including my second foster family" You admit as Luca smiles at you
It's a week later and The team has caught the people who did this to you. You haven't been able to stop thinking about Luca so you decide to go drop off a thank you present to the team
"Y/N" Luca says as he wraps you into a hug
"Hey! I came to drop this off!" You say as you hold up a box of chocolates
"You didn't have to" Luca says as he grabs the box of chocolates
"I also came to get your number" You say as you smile
"Y/N, I'm 9 years older than you" Luca explains as you smirk
"Who said I didn't like older men?" You reply as you grab his hand and write down your number
"Give me a call" You say as you smile and slowly walk out
