"What is it?"

You got that feeling. You knew the one; where that little tingling on your nape rode up and down your spine. That feeling you got when someone was staring.

"Nothing." Was the reply. "Mmm. Doesn't feel like it." Your eyes tore away from Shinjuku's night scene below you, looking at your date for the evening.

"It doesn't?"

"No," You shook your head lightly. "What's on your mind, big guy?"

"Many things." So vague was that answer. "As usual." You said in a sigh, dessert spoon in hand as you dug into a corner of your cake. He hummed in response.

"And you?"

"Many things." You mocked, rocking your head with each syllable before taking in your dessert. "You should elaborate." Might spoke. "Mm!" You nodded, dragging the spoon from between your pressed lips. No icing left to spare. "I guess I should've pressed the matter with you first."

"Should've, but we're here now."

"That we are. Let me see..." You took a moment, tapping your spare forefinger against your chin in faux thought. "I think...I think you've caught on that I'm a sucker for pretty views."

An educated guess really, with enough evidence to back it up given past encounters. You took another peek out over the nightlife. Lights twinkling in arms reach, separated by just a thin layer of glass. And just to the opposite was a dimly lit atmosphere. Sprinkled with deep reds and tailored clothes, candles and some hidden entity playing to their heart's content on black and white keys.

"We both are."

"Oh!" You waved him off, moving to hide the almost childishly wide grin he brought out of you. "What?" Might leaned just a bit forward, forearms pressed against the edge of the table you shared. "You said I couldn't flirt with you in the morning. Don't tell me the evenings are off limits too."

"Technically," You began, bringing your hand down to reveal the slightest smirk. "Anytime is off limits."

"Why would that be?" He queried.

"I work for you, sir."

Might let out a playful huff, sitting back in his chair. "No one has to know."

"Ooh, how scandalous." You giggled, reaching for the stem of your wine glass. "All Might pining after his cute little assistant-"

"Cute isn't the word," his chin now resting on an open fist of his, eyes on the glass you aerated then to you. "Not right now."

"You're going full throttle tonight, hm?" You asked, bringing the rim to your lips.

"You're not ready for that."

"Mm!" It's the double entendre for me. You set your glass down, trying to swallow the butterflies traveling up from your stomach. "Too much?" He grinned. "No, no." You waved it off. "The wine, I wasn't expecting it to be so sweet." This is how we're playing this off, huh?

"Do you not like it? Order something else-"

"It's not that!" You gave a soft chuckle. "It's really good."

"Do you want a bottle?" Might's hand took up his own spoon, digging into the corner of your cake closest to him. "I thought you didn't want any dessert." You lifted a brow.

"I've changed my mind." He said matter of factly. "Is that so?" You, unsurprised, watched as he enjoyed that corner he stole, nodding his reply. "It is, but you haven't answered my question."

"Oh, but there are so many of those I've left unanswered." You teased.

"Yes, that's why purple suits you so well, but this question is pressing."

"What question, Might?"

"Do you want a bottle?"

"You don't have to get me a bottle." You shook your head.

"But you enjoy the wine, yes?"

"I do."

"Then I'll get you one."

"Or," You clasped your hands together. "Or you could bring me back for another glass."

"I could, but maybe I want to keep you to myself." His head turned, eyes searching for someone in the wait staff. You took a glance around at the space between the two of you and the other patrons. "Is this not-" You motioned at the empty seating. "Not hardly enough." He finished, finally having caught the attention of a waiter. "You really don't have to." You continued."I want to." For a split second, his blue met your gaze. Your posture reclined, resting against the back of the seat while you watched the hero order.

"I've noticed something about you, sir." You spoke up as the waiter left, eyes on their back until they were out of sight. "What would that be?" Might turned to back to you. "You give to apologize." You cooed.

"I don-"

"You do." You sat forward, grinning.

"I'll need an example." He said. His tone in attempt to sound unbelieving, but just enough guilt slipped through to sound caught red handed.

"You just-!"

"Not the wine." Might quipped.  "That's a part of it but!" You started to recall. "You tried to pay for my delivery last night." You pointed as if it would validate your example. "Maybe I wanted to add to your order." He rebutted.

"You bought me lunch."

"You hadn't eaten, I was just looking out."

"Uh huh." Your expression turned smug. "I told you I was going home for lunch."

That was true. You stumbled through the door, bracing yourself against the wall as you yanked your shoes off. They were pinching the hell out of your toes and your lunch break is when you decided you were kicking them to the curb. Holding them both by the heels, you made a bee line for your room and then your closet. Going through your options, you chose a similar pair, but they were a world more comfortable then the ones you'd been suffering in.

You'd exited the hall, hearing a movement coming from the kitchen. Peeking around the corner you realized you weren't as alone as you thought you were. "I asked if you wanted me to bring you anything back. Something happen?"

Startled, the hero that was rummaging through the fridge stood straight, peering at you from around the door. "I, um, I changed my mind."

"Oh?" You walked in. "You could've called me, that'd 've been fine."

"I could've, but I thought this would've been better." He said, closing the refrigerator. "What's better?" You pressed.

"Gas."

"Gas?" You repeated, trying to convince yourself that you were following. Struggling, really, to pick up what he was putting down. "Yes, gas. It would be better if we rode together this evening...carpool."

"My car is electric-"

"I didn't know you took that one." Yagi clasped his hands together. "I had no idea."

"So." You took a moment to scratch your temple. "You thought it'd be a good idea to carpool to save on gas consumption."

"Yes." He pointed.

"But instead of having me leave the electric company vehicle at the company, and then having me ride with you back to said company in the morning-"

"Please don't-"

"You followed me to the house in your car-

"I know-"

"If you thought I was going to stand you up you could've just said that. Though it wouldn't make much sense, seeing as I'd have to face you when you got hom-

"The play by play is lovely, really it is, but you don't have to do this." Might touched his chest, cutting you off. "But I'm not done." You snorted. "Because you gave yourself a car."

"Please-"

"He wants to save on gas consumption but just bought his, now let me see," You started counting on your fingers. "Seventh car." The hardest sigh escaped Might's throat as he rubbed his temples, face contorted while you went on. "Is that why you were late this morning?"

"Yes, that's why I was late this morning."

"Huh, fancy that." You took another sip. "Are you, perhaps, finished?" He asked. "Nope." You eyed him over the rim.

"I don't know what I was expecting."

"Should've been this." You laughed. "You let me win that bet, Might."

"I did not." He piped.

"But you did." You pressed. "There's no way you'd bet on red. You know I'd know my brother, you probably just didn't expect him to sing."

"Let's say I did let you win." His blue peering over the hand that still rested on his temples. Waiting for a reply to his not so elaborate plan. "Oh I'm keeping the win." You shrugged. "Never know when I'll need that."

"Of course." Well that's a new one for my catalog. You held eye contact with this new stare you were receiving from the blonde. You held for as long as you could, using your glass to hide your grin, eventually turning away to people-watch. Wait staff moving in and out of view, same black uniform with a different face attached each time one appeared from around a corner.

"Speaking of." Might cleared his throat, you hummed in reply, turning back to see his posture had changed, digging back into your desert. "I forgot to bring it up while we were still outside, I'm not sure how it slipped my mind."

"So many questions tonight." You giggled.

"I should write you a list." He continued. "What's your brother's quirk, if you don't mind me asking."

"Precision." You answered confidently.

"Precision in what way?" You raised a brow, contemplating derailing the conversation with another 'Dont you already have this kind of hero?' 'He's not for hire' bit. I think I've patronized him enough this evening. "In any way?" You nodded, going back in for the sweet treat that had gone too long untouched by you. "To always get a bullseye or...." Your eyes wandered while you thought of an example. "Ah! We used to take the same self defense classes. He studied many different pressure points, so when sparring he'd disable his opponents by making half their body limp."

"That's quite the talent."

"Mhm." You replied, that long drag from the spoon once again leaving your pursed lips. "What does he plan on doing with that?" There it is. "He's on track to be a neurosurgeon." You said proudly. "He's at one of those prestigious highschools that dedicates all their funds into pumping out the best tax paying citizens."

That earned a snort from the hero. "So his quirk derives from your mother. So yours must-"

"So that's where this was going!" You were genuinely amused. "Go ahead, ask me about my pops." You grinned.

"What quirk does he have?"

"Providence, is what he calls it." You answered. "An emitter that calls his quirk providence. I don't know much about it."

"Providence." Might repeated. "That's a very strong name."

"You would know, All Might." You rolled your eyes. "You actually remind me of him."

"Care to tell me how?"

"You both disappear without warning for unknown amounts of time." Oop. Might's smile faltered a bit, had you not been looking you wouldn't have noticed. "Nothing sad." You shrugged. "It's for work too, so..."

"What does he do?"

"I'm not sure." You tapped your chin. "I know that sounds so bad at my age, but he's military and high ranking. He can't really talk about it."

"I understand," Of course you do. You nodded at the hero. "I feel like I'm pushing it with this next one."

"Then you probably are." You shook your spoon at him before getting another bite.

"Mm. Have you ever thought to ask your mother what it is he does or what he's doing?"

"Of course I've thought about it." You answered. "There are boundaries between the two of them and those boundaries extend to me if I have any questions."

"That makes sense."

"You ever thought to ask why she hasn't blown my phone up asking why I live with you of all people?"

"I have, but now I have my answer."

"Boundaries." You chimed. "Mutual respect." You continued. "I ruined the ending of that one popular medieval show for her and she hardly ever snoops around now."

"Damn."

"I know, right?"
