Sabay kaming lumipad papunta sa Ravaryn Island. We immediately went inside my room. Napatingin ako sa kamay ko and yes, the summoning circle is really gone.
"Monsters are attacking!" rinig ko sa labas at napatingin ako kay Diablo - I know his name Zero but I love calling him Diablo. I'm still gonna call him that, why the hell would I call him Zero? I'm not Astrid. I'm Lotus.
"Any orders?" he asked and he changed his demon form
"Why don't we test our strength?" I suggested at tumayo ako. Before I could go out, I stopped in front of the mirror.
I stared at the mirror analyzing my new appearance.
"I look like you huh" I said with a smile showing my fangs. My summoning circle is also at my back already.
Lumabas ako sa room at bumaba. Naabotan ko si papa at Sythe na nagprepare para lumaban. They all looked up and froze when they saw me. Wraith's cake slid in his hands. Mama was holding her baking tray pero nahulog niya rin ito nang makita ako. Sythe's eyes widen. Nabitawan ni papa ang hawak niyang sword at napaupo sa sahig.
"L-L-Lo..tus?" mama called kaya napatingin ako sa kanya at bigla siyang nagulat. Am I this intimidating? or nagulat lang sila sa panibagong anyo naming dalawa ni Diablo.
Sythe and Wraith bowed down at us at lumapit ako sa kanila.
"Ako pa rin po to, we just upgraded our Blood Link" I said at biglang tumayo si papa at hinawakan ang mukha ko
"Ikaw ba talaga to?" he asked and I nodded
"Tara, we should defend our home. Right?" I suggested at parang nakahinga nang maluwag sina mama at papa.
"Sythe, Wraith" tawag ko and they both raised their heads
"Let's go have some fun" I said a huge smile. Their eye color changed into blue just like mine.
Nauna akong lumabas at nakasalubong ko ang ibang tao na may planong lumaban. They all forze when I went out and made way for me. I walked first habang nakasunod sakin sina Wraith, Sythe while Diablo was in front of me. His aura was flowing na para bang kaya niyang masira ang buong isla.
We heard swords clashing and screams sa di kalayoan.
"Diablo, stay calm" I ordered and he nodded. He's too excited, I'm afraid he might end up killing the people.
Nang makarating kami, we saw a large group of large monsters. I don't know how but they smelled like the forest. I guess they all lived here peacefully but someone changed it.
"Hey" tawag ko sa isang lalaki na nasa gilid ko holding his spear. He was weak looking and his demon was bowing at us.
"Y-Y-Yes" he replied
"By any chance, did Harley perform his show inside the forest?" I asked and he immediately nodded
"I see" I whispered
There were many injured people. We can't fight with all our might if we have them here. I was amused when an invisible green barrier appeared in front of me allowing the monsters to be trapped inside. If we will go inside in this barrier, we can definitely fight using our true strength.
"Will that be okay?" Sythe at napatingin ako sa kanya
"Thanks" I said at pumasok kami ni Diablo.
Sythe and Wraith helped the injured habang kami lang ni Diablo ang nasa loob ng barrier. Other than my sense of smell, I noticed that all of my senses were very sharp just like Diablo. Just by looking at the monsters, they were over 400 of them.
"I'll handle the half" I said
"Leave the other half to me then" he replied
I stretched out my hands and my guns appeared. They were glowing dahil sa dami ng magic na inilagay ko. I was about to fire but I stopped at napatingin kay Diablo, violet and blue flames were surrounding him as he was killing the monsters. He used his hand to cup on of the monster's face and raised it upward. He smiled and clenched the monster's face and it was later on turned into pieces that spred most of his blood around the other monsters. Some of the blood were on his face and he faced me with a smile. I was looking at a psychopath. The blood on his face looks good on him.
"This is what I call fun" he said and he kicked the other monsters that allowed them to split in half
I smiled and minded my own business. I shoot my guns and most of the monsters were burned into ashes. I walked down into the flames and attacked the other monsters who were able to evade my bullets. Every time I landed a kick on their heads, it will always come off showing fountains of blood.
In just a minute, out of 400 monsters, only one remained. One single rabbit, a baby rabbit to be exact. Lumapit kami ni Diablo sa rabbit, it was attacking me, biting my shoes but it is still a baby so it doesn't really matter. I kneeled down at kinuha ko ang baby rabbit raising it and watched it's red eyes.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save you" I whispered and noticed that my appearance started to change back into what I used to be. Long brown hair without fangs and horns but my summoning circle was still at my back.
Tumayo ako holding the rabbit at pasekretong binaril ito kahit masakit ito sa kalooban ko. I gently put her down at napatingin kay Diablo. He changed into his human form at sabay kaming tumalikod. The barrier went off and I saw the citizen's face clearly.
They look surprised, lalo na si papa. Napatingin ako sa aking buong katawan and noticed that there were blood everywhere, ganon rin si Diablo.
Lumapit kami sa mga tao at hindi pa rin sila umimik.
"A-Anak.." papa said and I smiled warmly
"We've eliminated the monsters completely." I said and then all of a sudden, the whole crowd cheered.
They were all happy and started hugging each other. Lumapit yung iba samin and started shaking our hands. Diablo was uncomfortable kaya we excused ourself para pumunta sa dati naming training ground somewhere in the forest.
Hinubad ko agad ang suot ko at nagtungo sa river. Diablo did the same but the only difference is, hindi niya kailangang labhan ang suot niya kasi it wears blood stains off by itself habang ako dito ay hinuhugasan yung suot ko kanina. I can't go home with these clothes.
"You know what" he said habang tinutulongan niya akong maghugas
"You look really cool in your demon form" he added with a smirk
"Well, your true form was also cool" I said and smiled and he suddenly stopped
"I did not show you my true form yet" he suddenly said at nabitawan ko yung hawak kong damit
"W-What? Your hair changed and your tails ..." I explained incompletely
"It was half of my power, showing my true form just to fight off easy monsters is dangerous. One attack might destroy the barrier" he explained at napalunok ako
"You're getting into my nerves, Diablo" I said and continued washing my clothes
"Well, if you say so, I'd prefer if you'll stay in your demon form. It was like watching a new you rebirthed by my new name and new phase. You know, sounds like Zero's Lotus -- the only form that serves as the proof that you're actually mine" he added
"Oh hell no, people will freak out" I answered
"Why do you care?" he asked
"Why not?" I answered
"Oh come on..." he said and laughed
Lumapit siya sakin and started showing his fangs by smiling.
"Stop acting like your human, Lotus. You're not."
