You show me love and then spit in my face. Making your money off all of my pain.
When you got together with Steve, you thought he was a sweet, kind, caring man who would be loyal to you and who would never hurt you.
Clearly you were wrong.
You put and eagle inside of a cage. And you think I'm not strong enough to escape.
Over time he had became a lot more possessive. At first it was just not letting you go to certain bars, not letting you leave without someone else he knows and that kind of stuff.
You thought he was just being protective because there was something out there after you. By then it escalated.
But I refuse to let you make me feel like I can't fly.
He started to not let you even leave the house, he monitored your phone so you couldn't text anyone and he went out every night, returning at two in the morning drunk.
You were wanting to end it, get him out of your life so you could actual have a life. But you didn't in fear of what he would do.
You felt like a prisoner in your own house.
Not only will I soar again, I'll own the fucking sky. Yeah.
You were ready to say fuck it and just leave when he wasn't here but instead decided to follow him to see where he went.
You followed him to the bar he went to and watched him flirt with a blonde women, getting drunk before going home with her.
You followed them there and watched as they started to kiss, getting more and more intimate.
So I put my middle finger up. I'm done being your slave
You burst into the women's house and interrupted him. He stared at you in shock, not fully processing that you were there
"Y/n! What are you doing out of the house? I didn't let you leave," he demanded.
"I don't have to listen to your fucking rules any more Rogers. I am done being your fucking prisoner," you snapped.
My generations had enough, and you should be afraid
"Y/n. What are you talking about, you have never been my prisoner. You have always had the will to do anything as long as I approve," he says with fake confusion.
He tries to touch your face but you hit his hands away, pulling away and glaring at him.
"You know, I thought you were really sweet to begin with. Then you turned into a fucking monster," you spat.
Oh oh oh oh oh. Not your prisoner.
"I used to love you with all my heart, Steve. Now I have only one message for you," you put up both of your middle fingers, "fuck you, fuck Sharon and fuck this. I'm done and you can't control me anymore."

That night, you walked away without some controlled maniac controlling everything you do, and your shoulders felt a shit ton lighter.
