Leah Clearwater had found herself back in the woods once again, in the same clearing, the only source of light coming from the moon and stars and the only sound coming from the loud chirping of the crickets and scurrying of the other critters. She was dressed in her normal outfit with minor yet comfy changes, a tank top, pajama shorts, and Addison's dark green hoodie. It just felt like a perfect night to wear the hoodie that started it all again, after all, it was the first night they were meeting again as they used to before they stopped talking before the fight and Leah was... nervous. What if Addison didn't show? What if it was all a mistake? What if she ended up hurting Addison again or vice versa? Little did Leah know that Addison Cullen was having the same feelings...
Addison pushed past the tree limbs and jumped over the fallen trees, following after the comforting and familiar scent of fresh wild lavender and werewolf that she had missed so much, and she knew Leah was near making her hopes rise but there was still this little voice in the back of her head saying that she was making the wrong choice... What if Leah snapped again or vice versa? What if she decided that Addison wasn't worth the time or effort? What if Leah still hated her for her dad's death... NO, Addison told herself, No Leah was different, Leah was her best friend and that's all that mattered.
Addison couldn't stop the happy smile that grew on her lips at the sight of the she-wolf in her oversized hoodie, "you came back". Leah shrugged her own bright smile tugging at the corners of her mouth without control "of course I did".

"It was amazing Lee! We went on all of these boat rides and we went to almost all of the different sights and museums, oh oh! and Rose, Emmett, Jasper, Alice, and I went on these haunted night tours, ugh it was just amazing! I wish you could have come" Addison gushed still in complete bliss about the family vacation to New Orleans Carlisle and Esme had planned after deciding that their children needed a break from Forks Washington and its supernatural drama.
"It sounds amazing Ad, I still can't believe you spent four weeks in New Orleans" Leah chuckled weaving another blade of grass through the flower crown, she was working on for Addison, "well technically we only spent two weeks in New Orleans then we all split up. Carlisle and Esme went to Isle Esme, Rosalie and Emmett went to their apartment in Paris, Alice decided to surprise our cousins in Alaska, and Jasper and I went to our house in Houston".
Leah couldn't stop the chuckle that escaped her lips "of course Jasper has a house in Texas, is it a farmhouse?", "actually it is and it's quite peaceful, it's actually his childhood home but Esme, Alice, and I did some renovations. Oh! And there's this beautiful lake that we spent most of our time in and we went on horse rides- you're laughing at me".
Leah was trying her best to conceal her laughter but she couldn't stop the chuckles or laughs "I'm sorry- I'm sorry but your husband the literal honey-blonde cowboy has a childhood farmhouse in Texas that he shares with his sweet little wife who helps him with the horses, please, please tell me he has a cowboy hat". Addison avoided Leah's eyes refusing to answer but Leah's laughter only grew "oh my god this couldn't get any better" she practically cackled almost falling over from how hard she was laughing.
Addison scrunched up her nose as she stuck out her tongue like a child "yeah yeah go ahead and make fun of my cowboy of a husband but just remember that when you and Alice finally get together, she's gonna change your entire wardrobe, you're mated to a fashion fiend for literal eternity". Leah's laughs become hiccups as her eyes widened "you're evil... that was well played but you're still evil".

Leah watched as the fairy-like vampire as she danced in the small stream of rushing water without a single care in the world, she had gotten her sparkle back. And Leah had felt calmer like she was finally in control of her life and choices once again "you know we've been talking again for almost two months" she noted as her pocket knife sliced through the slab of wood she was boredly carving sending the shavings into the water. "A very good observation Ms. Clearwater... Your point?"
"My point is... Uh well, I've been thinking when we first became friends, we made that plan, to meet each other's family when we felt ready... and I mean Alice is my mate, and Jasper is your husband doesn't it feel like the right time to meet each other properly, and not when I'm trying to eat you?" Addison stopped her gentle swaying looking at Leah with furrowed eyebrows "are- are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting".
Leah shrugged trying to seem more casual and less nervous about what she was suggesting, "I mean we've been friends for however many months possibly even a year and I think it's time... I think I'm ready".

"Woah Woah Woah Darlin why are you in such a rush?" Jasper and Alice Cullen were both being dragged by a giddy practically bouncing Addison both of them having to dodge tree limbs, and stumbling over rocks. "Sissy you know I love seeing you all excited and smiley but please please slow down" Alice huffed as she tripped over another stupid rock but finally, their torture came to an end as Addison stopped in the clearing.
"Oh my god, Leah!" Alice practically squealed rushing over to her mate who was initially shocked by the loving hug but after a moment she wrapped her arms around Alice's smaller figure. But Jasper on the other hand wasn't too excited about the she-wolf's presence... His golden eyes turned a coal-black, and his jaw tightly clenched as a snarl left his mouth "what is she doing here, why are you around her after what she did?" "O-Okay..." Addison sighed "um so me and Leah made a plan to meet each other's love ones a while back, hence why I brought you and Alice and she brought her brother Seth".
Leah took a deep breath to calm her nerves as she stepped forward making Jasper's protectiveness grow "look I'm aware you don't particularly like me-", "you tried to eat my wife". Leah chuckled awkwardly unsure how to make Jasper less tense around her "is there any chance that you're one of those guys who would believe me if I said it was because I was on my period? no... okay look I know I tried to attack Addison and trust me I still feel awful about that night... And I'm not asking you to trust me, I just wanted to meet you when I wasn't trying to kill your wife".
"Jazz just give her a chance" Addison placed her hands on her husband's chest with an innocent smile knowing her husband could never say no when she acted like a sweet little thing, "come on do it for me" she pulled the act together by batting her eyelashes and Jasper sighed giving in almost instantly "fine... I will try to give her a... chance".

"Addison this is my annoying little brother Seth". Seth Clearwater was immediately different from his sister not necessary in looks because he had the same brown eyes and short black hair but his personality and general aura was different while Leah was more serious and generally untrusting, Seth seemed slightly immature and childish but also childish and kind, with a huge and happy grin. "Nice to meet you, Addison. Leah talks about you all the time".
Leah's brown eyes widened and she immediately elbowed him harshly in the side, "I do not", "uh yes you do, that's all you talk about... well her and the other happy pixie over there" Seth pointed at Alice making both twins smile at the thought of the big bad she-wolf talking about them. "oh, when we get home you are so dead you little twerp".
"Yeah Yeah whatever" Seth shrugged off his sister's growled words "so Leah said you can teleport?", "yep it's kinda my superpower" Addison's words only made the puppy's curiosity grow, "so you must be wicked at tag". Seth's eyes widened with amazement when Addison suddenly disappeared into the black smoke before reappearing and tapping him on the back making him turn around with wide eyes "tag your it" she playfully winked before flashing away.
Seth turned to his sister making her small smile grow "yes you can play with my friend, now go your it" with her permission Seth dashed away chasing after a laughing Addison and soon Alice joined in their laughs echoing around the clearing.

Jasper watched the twins and Seth run around the clearing and into the small stream with a small smile and with a small huff he shook away his previous emotions and slowly stepped towards Leah "you care for her... you care for both of them just as much as I do" he noted feeling her strong emotions towards both of the twins. "I do... look I was a bitch to Addison and believe me, I will never ever forget the look of pure terror on her face or the way she screamed... I know that I can never take that night back but I will never hurt like that again, never".
Jasper nodded clearing his throat "I- uh I guess you're not so bad for a... dog". Leah couldn't help but chuckle at his way of forgiving "and you're not so bad for an old cowboy by the way Addison told me all about the cowboy hat and the farmhouse and the horses".
"Could you do me a favor and please say howdy partner or yee-haw?" Leah knew she shouldn't have but she couldn't help but tease her best friend's husband, "question, at the farmhouse, do you and Addison sit out on the porch, do you play some old country song on your guitar? do you call her little lady when you argue or is that more of a private bedroom thing?"
Jasper smirked slightly amused with the she-wolfs playful teasing, maybe he thought just maybe Leah wasn't that bad to be around...

A/n~ Jasper and Leah are definitely gonna have a teasing relationship and it's gonna be so so fun to write.
This is officially the last chapter of Eclipse and I figured we should end it on a happy note.
