Third person pov
It was already morning but Athanese was still sleeping on his bed as he was too tired from everything that happened yesterday. While he was sleeping , his paperwork and letters were piling up in a crazy speed.
*Knock*
*Knock*
Ces knocked politely as she waited for the prince's response. After a few second , a tired complaint could be heard from the room. Athanese slowly opened his eyes and sighed .
" Come in "
Athanese said and glanced at Ces who was carrying a fresh new towel and bath supply's for him
" Good morning , your highness . I will go and prepare your bath "
Ces said as she bowed to greet him and walked towards the bathroom meanwhile Athanese just laid down on the bed while trying not to sleep again.
After a few minutes , Ces came out of the bathroom after preparing everything
" The bath has been prepared , your highness. I will take my leave "
Ces informed as she bowed before leaving and closing the door behind her
* sigh *
Athanese could only sigh as he lazily walked towards the bathroom. While Athanese was taking his bath , he accidentally fell asleep on the bathtub and ended up sleeping for thirty minutes in there until he was woken up by the knock .
Athanese glanced towards the door and quickly cleaned himself . After feeling fresh , he changed his clothes and started walking towards the dinning room to have his breakfast.
He noticed Athanasia was sitting there waiting for him
" Good morning , Athy "
Athanese said with a sweet smile on his face
" Good morning , Athanese "
Athanasia replied with a small smile on her face
" Did you eat ? "
Athanese asked as he took a seat beside her
" No , I was waiting for you "
Athanasia replied with a hint of annoyance
" Sorry about that , I fell asleep while taking bath "
Athanese mumbled as he looked at her feeling bad at the fact that he made her wait
" It's fine now , let's eat "
Athanasia said . While eating their breakfast the royal twins couldn't help but keep on glancing at the head of the dining table. Since the chair was unused both of them couldn't help but feel sad about it.
After they ate their breakfast , they were about to part ways to do their own things but both of them were stopped by Lucas who teleported out of thin air
" Let's talk "
Lucas said and both of the twin looked at him and nodded their head in agreement . The three of them walked towards one of the living room .
" There's no way his condition would worsen so suddenly like that . Something must have interfered "
Lucas said as he kept his hands on his hips and huffed
' That damn Anastacius '
Athanese thought as he clenched his hands feeling frustrated
" But the magicians said there were no traces "
Athanasia replied
" Because they are stupid "
Lucas replied as he took a deep breath and continued
" There is still a trace of magical wavelength left behind "
" Was it an assassination attempt ?! "
Athanasia asked worriedly
" It does happen quite often if you are the emperor "
Lucas replied
' should I tell them about Anastacius ? ..... I think I should tell them after I confirm if it's exactly him or not but I know its him.... But again I will waste their time if my speculation is wrong '
Athanese thought as he took a deep breath and sighed
" Do you have a clue on he is or who that person might be ? "
Athanese asked
" ...No but it's probably that jerk who trespassed my tower "
Lucas replied feeling annoyed
" Your tower ? "
Athanasia mumbled
" Yeah but that is another story . They came and shattered all of my magical artifact and sucked out all of the magic . I was here taking care of you and your father so I neglected it for a bit and I don't know their motive
But that person has probably something to do with your magic explosion "
Lucas said as he pointed towards Athanasia
' That's bad news .... If it's really Anastacius then , he must have stole Lucas's Mana that was on his magical artifact this will probably give him more power and advantage in the future '
Athanese thought as he fiddled with his hands
' Assassination attempt ?! Just why ? If Lucas and Athanese couldn't figure it out then something like this might happen again '
Athanasia thought as she started to overthink and panic. Her body started to tremble in frustration and fear . Athanasia's trembling figure caught Athanese's attention . He looked at her with saddened and worried eyes
' W-we need to do something or D-daddy and maybe Ath- Athanese will-'
Athanasia's train of thoughts were interrupted when Athanese suddenly pulled her into a hug. Athanasia felt her tears flow down as she held Athanese.
" Shh ... It will be fine .... I will protect father , nothing will happen to him "
Athanese said as he tried to calm Athanasia
' But what about you ? '
Athanasia thought as she wanted to say she would protect him since she is his oldest sister but couldn't because when she tried to speak her voice will break down midway so she tightly hugged Athanese to indicate that she is here for him. Understanding her action , Athanese smiled and glanced at Lucas who was staring at the two of them .
' I thought it was only my tower so I didn't care much about it but..now I am starting to get annoyed '
Lucas thought as he stared at Athanese and Athanasia
" You two should go to rest "
Athanese said as he pulled away from the hug and stared at Athanasia with caring look
" But - "
Athanasia was about to protest but Athanese leaned and kissed her forehead to make her feel good
" You should rest , Okay ? "
Athanese asked again and Athanasia nodded her head in response
" Fine but .. you should rest too "
Athanasia mumbled as she stood up and left
" You should rest too , Lucas "
Athanese said as he stared at Lucas and Lucas stared back at him
" You must have used alot of your mana yesterday , You should rest "
Athanese said as he stood up and walked towards Lucas who was standing still while looking at him
" Here "
Athanese said as stretched his leg and pulled Lucas down a little bit
" Wh-wha "
Lucas mumbled feeling surprised as felt Athanese kiss him on his forehead
" You looked like you wanted one "
Athanese replied with a smile on his face as left his hold on Lucas go. Lucas felt cheeks heat up at recent contact .
" But you should rest too "
Lucas said as he turned sideways while covering his mouth
" Of course , I will but for now I have take care of my and father's work. "
Athanese said and caressed Lucas's cheeks . Lucas leaned into Athanese hand
" It will be okay , I will always be there for you "

Meanwhile , Inside the Alpheus household. Roger was sitting down on his desk while doing his work. Anastacius suddenly barges inside the room .
" Claude will die soon , prepare to enter the Palace "
Anastacius said as he stared at Roger who had a surprised look on his face
" Wha...what did you just-"
Roger said as he paused for a second and continued
" ....I , don't even know what to ask first but ... For now , why do you think his majesty will pass away "
Roger said as he took his glasses of and pinched the bridge of his nose
" I sent a curse through Jennette , a curse that will kill him "
Anastacius replied with a straight face
' is he saying that he is going to murder the emperor ? '
Roger thought with a shocked look on his face
" Then why.... Didn't you do it back then ? "
Roger asked with Caution
" Back then Claude was still healthy and didn't have any weaknesses "
Anastacius thought as his mind wandered to the memory where he first met Diana who was slowly dying .
" The assimilation wasn't complete yet , I was still weak "
Anastacius replied as he glanced at Roger while waiting for his response.
" You told me to get ready to enter the palace . If the emperor dies are you planning to enter palace during all the chaos and Reveal yourself ? "
Roger asked
' I didn't think he would so hasty with his poor condition but to think he did something as outrageous as this ... ! '
Roger thought as he took a long breath and sighed
" Who would believe that a dead man has come back alive ? Who will prove your identity ? "
Roger asked as he looked at Anastacius waiting for his reply
" You must be really surprised to be asking me such a stupid question. Is there any need for a member of the royal family prove their identity "
Anastacius replied as his previously dark eye changed into Obelia's Royal family's signature jeweled blue.
" It's been a long time since your death , nobody will step up to follow you "
Roger replied as he glared at Anastacius who glared back at him
" For your information , I am not going to turn my back to the throne "
Roger replied determined at his choice
" Oh ? Are you forgetting something ?"
Anastacius asked with a mocking smile on his face
" Did you forget who is the real heir to the throne ? "
He asked as he stood and started walking near Roger Alpheus
" What do you think you are doing ?! "
Roger asked with a threatening look on his face as he remained seated
" You have done well until now , you deserve a praise "
Anastacius said as he gently touched his forehead and used black magic to make sure Roger is in his control

Claude and the royal twins were on walk while Felix followed them a couple of meters away .
" Athanese .. "
Claude called
"Hmm ? Yes father "
Athanese replied as he looked at Claude curiously
" I think you should go visit other Countries before the debutante "
Claude said as he patted Athanese head
" Shouldn't Athanasia also visit with me too ? "
Athanese asked curiously as he glanced towards Athanasia who laughed nervously
" Haha , I just want to stay here for now "
Athanasia replied with a smile on her face
' like hell I will go outside and risk my life but Athanese is fine because he is good at magic '
Athanasia thought as she nodded her head in agreement
" Then when and where should I go , Father ? "
Athanese asked as he glanced at Claude was already daydreaming
" Daddy !! Athanese is asking you something !! "
Athanasia whined playfully as she hit Claude on his hand
" Oh , ah oh yes , you can go whenever you want everything has already been prepared "
Claude replied as he looked at Athanese and Athanasia
" Really !! Then should I choose where you will go ? Please "
Athanasia said as she grabbed Athanese's hands while pulling her puppy eyes
" Hehe , Of course you can "
Athanese replied with a nervous smile on his face
'' then it's decided "
Athanasia said as she gestured Claude to listen to her. Claude leaned down a little so Athanasia could say what she wanted to say.
Athanese couldn't hear anything as Athanasia was whispering to Claude.
" Ok as per Athanasia's wish , You will go there and you can take that imperial magician with you so you wouldn't need alot of knights but do take about 50 knights for just in case "
Claude said as he held Athanese's shoulder
" I-isnt 50 knights and imperial magician Lucas too much ? "
Athanese said nervously
" Wait , wait ! You should take some more "
Athanasia yelled out
" J-just Lucas is fine , he is strong enough to wipe out a country "
Athanese said as he tried to assure these two
' if you are that worried why even suggest me to go '
Meanwhile somewhere faraway , inside the Podebrat Household. Melissa Podebrat was standing inside her father's office with a clearly annoyed look on her face .
" So ... "
The duke said as he paused and read the letter
" So.......so.... "
He said as he read the letter again to make sure he read the letter's content clearly
' Is he trying to apologize ?! Hah !! I can make him lick my shoes '
Melissa thought sarcastically as she laughed loudly at her own thoughts. Meanwhile , the duke glanced at her only to be met with her scary expression
'' Talk fast , I don't have much time on my hands like you do "
Melissa said as she looked at the Duke with a disgusted expression. The duke just stared at her expression for a while and read the letter
" So .... "
' Stop with that so so !! It's getting frustrating '
Melissa thought with a pissed off expression on her face
" So , the prince of Obelia is going to come to our Empire with the imperial magician Sir. Lucas and Prince Ian is going to attend him and you are requested to be there with him because you are his fiancee "
He said and glanced up to look at Melissa only to be met with her face that clearly screams ' Unbelievable ' .
' After I spent all those expensive paper on that cheap shit to cancel off our engagement he is going to introduce me as his fiancee to another Empire's Prince !?
That shit is stupid '
Melissa thought as she walked outside the room with a pissed off look on her face that scared some of the people that came across her

' if I don't show up there then Ian would be so humiliated or maybe I should show up with Nine again '
Melissa thought as she started laughing after imagining Ian's crying expression infront of the Obelia's prince . After a few second , realization hit her. She suddenly ran towards her room to the sight of Yona who was relaxing on the sofa while Nine was standing .
After seeing Melissa run her away here , Nine got worried and asked
" Is there something wrong , Lady Melissa ? "
" Yona ! Nine !! Help me with finding some information about the prince of Obelia "
Melissa yelled
" Yes , Lady Melissa "
Nine replied with a smile and Yona stood up from the soft sofa feeling tired .

So dear readers , I haven't been uploading any new chapters on my next book because my school schedule has been really eating off much of my time and by the end of the day I am dead tired .
