The Dimitrescu daughters. You could write a novel about them. The good, the bad, the bloody. But mainly the good — the side they only showed you and their mother. It warmed your heart whenever they'd show you that side. Because of that, you decided to surprise them by going to see the Duke when he wasn't visiting the castle. You pulled your coat on and immediately heard buzzing fill the room, making a smile stretch across your face once a pair of arms wrapped around your waist.
"Where are you going?" Daniela whined softly, nuzzling into your back. "You know it's not safe out there."
"I won't be long, Dani." You promised, turning in her hold. "I'm just going to visit the Duke and buy something."
"Why can't you wait until he's here?" She pouted, nuzzling into your neck. "You know we worry when you leave."
"I know you do, my love. But I promise, I'll be right back. I already know what I'm going to get."
Daniela whined louder this time but pulled back anyway, pressing a quick kiss to your lips. "Be safe. You know the lycans don't care if you're dating us or not, they just see you as food."
"I know, my love. I know. Stop worrying so much or I'll miss my opportunity to buy what I want to buy."
"Okay, okay!" She pouted, swarming away so you could leave.
Once she was safely away, you left the castle, quickly shutting the door behind you. You quietly trudged through the snow and opened the gates slightly, slipping passed them with ease. As you walked, howls could be heard from the village, turning your blood to ice as you carried on.
You reached the Duke fairly quick, smiling at him when he greeted you. "Do you have them?"
"Indeed I do, young [Y/N]." He grinned, holding out the bracelets.
You handed him the lei and graciously took the bracelets, setting them in tiny boxes before putting them in your pocket. As you headed back to the castle, the howls grew louder, making you pick up your pace. Before you could reach the gates again, the growls were right behind you, making you freeze in place. The hot breath of the lycans could be felt on your neck and your heart stopped.
'Run! Run! What am I waiting for?! RUN ALREADY! I'll die if I don't! WHY CAN'T I RUN?!'
Another growl sounded behind you and your legs finally started working again, propelling you forward as a searing pain spread across your back, a pained scream passing your lips. Once you crossed the gates, the doors to the castle opened and lady Dimitrescu stepped out, urging you to keep going despite the pain. A clawed hand grabbed your leg, leaving marks down your calf.
You were a few steps from lady Dimitrescu and she had clawed the lycan, allowing you to slip passed her and crawl into the castle. Quiet whimpers left you as you watched her return to the castle and shut the doors, tears pricking your eyes.
"I-I thought-." You whimpered louder when she carefully picked you up, a soft sigh passing her lips.
"Heisenberg should've called them back before you left the Duke. I'll have a word with him." She growled out, carrying you to your room.
As soon as you were placed on your bed, the sisters swarmed in. Bela held a first aide kit, worry and anger filled her golden eyes as she climbed on the bed next to you.
"You said-." Daniela started, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"I tried." You wheezed out, wincing once Cassandra helped roll you onto your stomach.
You heard the door open and close, leading you go believe lady Dimitrescu had left. Cold hands lifted your coat off of you, soft whimpers leaving you as Bela and Cassandra tended to your wounds. Daniela was silent through the whole thing, standing off to the side and staring at the floor. Once you were bandaged properly, they helped you sit up and sent worried glances your way.
"Thank you," You breathed out, glaring at the bandages on your leg. "I thought your uncle would've called them back before I left the Duke... I was wrong."
"What was so important that you'd risk your life for?" Cassandra asked quietly, searching the pockets of your coat.
"Gifts for you three..." You wheezed out, resting your head on Bela's shoulder. "Our anniversary is coming up and I knew you three were getting me something so I... wanted to do the same."
"[Y/N] ..." Bela murmured, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "You're so kind to us and that's what got you injured."
"No, the lycans injured me," You growled out, hissing shortly after due to pain. "My love for you three had nothing to do with it."
Cassandra pulled out the boxes and handed two to Daniela and Bela, the three of them opening the boxes — you helping Bela seeing as her other arm was wrapped around your waist. You felt a pair of cold lips press against your head as you clasped Bela's bracelet on her wrist, fingers trailing over the pendants.
"These are lovely." They whispered in unison, Daniela and Cassandra carefully moving closer to you.
"When the Duke told me about them, I knew I had to get them for you three. Only the best for my beloveds."
"So kind to us." Daniela purred, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "Next time, you're taking a weapon."
"But-! I don't know how to-."
"We'll teach you." Cassandra hummed out, pressing a quick kiss to your lips.
"Cass." You whined softly, reaching for her. "That's not a proper kiss."
"You're so needy." Cassandra grumbled teasingly, carefully pulling you towards her before connecting your lips.
You smiled as you returned the kiss, pouting when she pulled away. Once you were settled back into Bela's side, your head was tilted up slightly and Bela's lips were on yours, earning a happy hum from you as you immediately returned it.
"Come on, Dani. Let's get [Y/N] some food." Cassandra muttered, grabbing Daniela's wrist.
"Where's my kiss?" Daniela pouted, letting Cassandra pull her away.
"You'll get it once you get back." You promised, giggling as you buried your face in Bela's neck. "I love you three."
"We love you too."
