36 ~~EXT. DR. OCTOPUS'S LABORATORY~~ 36
Peter lands on the pier.
Y/n lets go of Peter's neck as they both stare at Dr. Octopus's laboratory in front of them.
PETER
So this is it?
Y/N
Yeah. Okay, what should our plan of attack be?
PETER
Well, he isn't expecting us. I say our best bet is to do what we did at the bank. I come in first and then you go in for the kill.
Y/N
Alright. Let's do this. Also, nice to have you back, Parker.
Peter smiles.
They then start running towards the building.
They jump on the roof.
Peter jumps through a hole.
Y/n follows him.
37 ~~INT. DR. OCTOPUS'S LABORATORY~~ 37
They both land on a metal beam.
Peter crawls on the underside of it.
Y/n and Peter begin watching Dr. Octopus.
He is fiddling with his nuclear fusion machine.
Suddenly, it turns on and the building fills with yellow light.
Peter begins crawling down the wall.
Y/n then crawls across the beam and begins crawling down the wall on the other side.
Peter and y/n are both remaining in the shadows.
Peter sticks his head out to look at Doc Ock.
A shard of metal then lands right next to Peter's head.
Peter does a backflip and lands onto the ground.
Dr. Octopus has turned his attention towards Peter and begins walking over to him.
DR. OCTOPUS
I should have known Osborn wouldn't have the spine to finish you!
PETER
Shut it down, Ock. You're gonna hurt a lot more people this time.
DR. OCTOPUS
Well, that's a risk we're willing to take.
Peter looks at the cords going into the machine.
He then directs his attention back to Doc Ock.
PETER
Well, I'm not.
Peter leaps off the ground.
Dr. Octopus tries to grab him with his mechanical arms, but Peter shoots a web out of his wrists to block them.
The mechanical limbs go through the webs and grab Peter, pulling him away from the machine.
They hurl Peter out of the building.
Y/n suddenly comes out from the shadows.
She roundhouse kicks Dr. Octopus in the face.
He stumbles backwards.
She then runs up and tries to punch him, but one of his mechanical arms pushes her in the chest, making her fly backwards.
She hits the wall and groans.
A window suddenly shatters as Peter comes flying back in.
He flies through the air and hits Doc Ock in the face causing him to go through the floorboards of the building.
He lands in the water.
Y/n slowly stands up and makes her way over to the hole in the floor.
Peter is punching Dr. Octopus in the face.
The nuclear fusion machine begins getting stronger.
Y/n notices and directs her attention towards it.
She watches it start pulling metallic objects into it.
She ducks as a chain comes hurtling into the machine.
She looks at the cords and starts running over to them to unplug them from the machine.
Doc Ock sees her and one of his mechanical arms shoots out and grabs her by the waist.
It picks her up and throws her across the room.
She flies through the air and lands hard on the floor.
She groans.
Peter gets out of the water and runs over to her.
He puts his hand on her.
PETER
Are you okay?!
Y/N
Yeah, I'm alright, but watch out. Doc Ock could be-
Suddenly, Dr. Octopus hits Peter with a floorboard.
He falls to the floor as Doc Ock walks over to him.
One of his mechanical limbs picks him up by the waist and throws him against a metallic part of the wall.
Peter then falls on the ground.
Y/n rolls over and tries to stand up, but one of Dr. Octopus's mechanical arms hits her on the back and she collapses to the floor.
Doc Ock then walks over to Peter and one of his mechanical limbs grabs Peter by the leg and picks him up.
While he's being held upside down, a blade comes out of another of Dr. Octopus's mechanical arms.
DR. OCTOPUS
Let's see you scurry out of this.
Doc Ock then thrusts the blade forward, but Peter shoots a web out of his wrists and pulls the cords of the machine up, causing the blade to pierce through it.
It electrocutes Dr. Octopus, causing the mechanical arm to let go of Peter.
Peter then runs over to the spot where the cords plug into the machine and pulls them out.
It causes Peter and Doc Ock to both fly backwards.
The machine didn't shut off and is now getting stronger.
PETER
Now what?
Pieces of the building begin getting sucked into the machine.
Y/n lifts her head up and notices.
Her eyes get big and she gets up as quickly as she can.
She heads over to Peter.
Y/N
Did you unplug the machine?
PETER
Yeah, but I don't understand. It didn't do anything.
She then looks around for Dr. Octopus.
She sees him lying in a pool of water.
She marches over to him with Peter following.
They both crouch down in front of him.
PETER
Dr. Octavius.
Otto stares back at Peter with confusion.
Peter takes off his mask.
PETER
We have to shut it down.
Y/n nods her head.
Y/N
It's spiraling out of control.
She takes off her mask.
Y/N
We have to do something about it.
Peter nods his head.
PETER
Please tell us how.
DR. OCTAVIUS
Peter Parker.
Otto smiles.
DR. OCTAVIUS
"Brilliant but lazy".
He then looks at y/n.
DR. OCTAVIUS
And the girlfriend. That explains how you escaped.
PETER
Look at what's happening. We must destroy it.
Y/n nods her head.
Y/N
Millions of people could die. You don't want that. You're a scientist! Not a murderer!
More pieces of the building get sucked into the machine.
DR. OCTAVIUS
I can't destroy it. I won't.
Two of his mechanical arms lunge forward and grab Peter and y/n by the neck.
Y/N
Octavius, please. You know this isn't right. Don't listen to those things and start listening to your heart and your own mind.
PETER
You once spoke to me about intelligence. That it was a gift to be used for the good of mankind.
Otto nods his head.
DR. OCTAVIUS
A privilege.
PETER
These things have turned you into something you're not. Don't listen to them.
Otto looks at the mechanical arms.
He then directs his attention back to Peter and y/n.
DR. OCTAVIUS
It was my dream.
PETER
Sometimes...to do what's right, we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams.
Y/n smiles at Peter.
She then directs her attention back to Otavius and nods her head.
DR. OCTAVIUS
You're right.
Even more pieces of the building go into the machine around Otto, Peter, and y/n.
Octavius looks at his mechanical limbs.
DR. OCTAVIUS
He's right. Listen...Listen...to me now. Listen to me now!
The mechanical arms holding Peter and y/n's necks let go.
Y/N
Now...tell us how to stop it.
DR. OCTAVIUS
It can't be stopped.
A look of panic grows on Peter and
y/n's face.
DR. OCTAVIUS
It's self-sustaining now.
PETER
Think!
DR. OCTAVIUS
Unless.... The river. Drown it.
Y/n and Peter both turn around and begin getting up.
Two of Otto's mechanical limbs grab Peter and y/n's arm.
They turn around.
DR. OCTAVIUS
I'll do it.
The mechanical limbs let go of Peter and y/n's arm as Octavius gets up.
He walks over to the machine as Peter and y/n watch him.
Otto turns around and looks at them before directing his attention back to the machine.
They are still watching him when some metal creaking can be heard.
Peter turns around and notices a wall of the building begin to fall.
PETER
Y/n, watch out!
She turns around and sees the wall falling.
She tries running away, but a wooden beam lands on top of her, pinning her to the ground.
Peter jumps in front of her and holds the wall up.
PETER
Hi.
Y/N
Hi.
PETER
This is really heavy.
Y/N
Then I guess we'd better move out of the way.
Y/n bites through the wooden beam and it breaks.
She crawls away as Peter lifts the wall and throws it.
Y/N
Geez, what are you, Superman?
Peter smiles and laughs.
They both suddenly notice that the building structure is crumbling around them and getting sucked into the machine.
Y/N
We better get out of here before we get sucked into the machine too.
PETER
Right.
Y/n puts her arms around Peter's neck as he leaps into the air.
He shoots a web and begins swinging away as the entire building gets sucked into the river.
