Addison Cullen had grown tired of standing and waiting for the three quarreling lovebirds to focus on the task that would have only taken five or ten minutes instead of an hour, so she had chosen to plop down on the grassy ground boredly weaving blades of grass into a crown for Jasper. "You're not fighting? What, you pull a muscle or something? Addison almost scoffed at Jacob's words as she looked up at her husband "you know we could run, and they'd never even know".
"He's doing it for me, okay" Isabella defended but her words only made Jacob shake his head staring at Edward with clear disdain "whatever, just tell me the plan", "this field will give us an advantage in battle, we need to lure the newborns with Bella's scent, it needs to end here" Jasper informed. "Edward and I are going to a campsite, even if he carries me, they'll still pick up our scents-", "your stench, however, is revolting" Edward felt the need to add and Addison was pretty sure she rolled her eyes so hard that her eyeballs almost fell from her head when Jacob moved closer to Edward "dude, you really don't want to start comparing stinks".
With an annoyed huff (and some mumbled curses), Addison stepped in-between the vampire and werewolf, her hands pressing against their chests, as she harshly shoved them apart making them both stumble backward, "alright now both of you please put away the rulers because you both lose". Bella felt like it would have been wrong to laugh and tried to cover her laughs with a cough but Jasper didn't even try to conceal his chuckles. "Now Jacob, what my idiot of a brother meant to say was your scent will mask Bella's if you carry her to the campsite".
"Edward they won't want to get anywhere near his...odor" Jasper added seemly just as tired of Edward's constant complaining, "so in meaner words because apparently, that's the only way to get in that thick of head of yours, stop being such a jealous baby and go along with the plan so your human girlfriend doesn't become a nice tasty newborn snack". Isabella cleared her throat getting the attention back on her before another sibling fight broke out between her friend and boyfriend, "okay let's just try it" she extended her arms, and Jacob grinned immediately picking her up holding her tight "Eau de wolf, comin' up". "Yeah Yeah just run already".

"All I picked up was wolf stench, no Bella" Jasper announced jogging out of the woods, his words making Addison cheer "great this plan works and we can go home- hey no wait, Bells I wanna go homeee" Addison protested with a groan as Bella dragged her away from the three boys. "So I uh... I desperately need some girl time..." Bella over-pronounced her words making Addison's eyebrows furrow immediately catching on, Isabella needed something that Edward couldn't give, probably some advice about said, boyfriend.
"Alright...sounds like fun, what were you thinking, movie night and snacks? or perhaps coffee and a drive like old times swapping gossip" Addison tried her best to hint which was impossible when Isabella was oblivious, "I don't get-" Bella cut herself off when Addison gave her a pointed look, "oh uh... the drive and sw-swapping gossip probably"...
"Okay great let me go home and get changed, I'll meet you at your house I need to talk to your father about your alibi for the battle anyway".

"Oh my god, Dad... I'm a virgin!" Bella blurted and right at that exact moment the front door slammed shut making both Swan's turn to look at a slightly uncomfortable/awkward Addison Cullen... "Oh ummm wrong time?" Addison asked pushing a lock of hair behind her ear feeling like she had interrupted something important between the father and daughter. "No r-right on time" Bella replied just as uncomfortable as Charlie glanced between the two girls before focusing on the guest, "hey Addison how's your dad?" Addison slowly stepped further into the kitchen glancing at Bella for a moment trying to seem less awkward "oh he's um good, really busy at the hospital but good". "Great man your father... So what are you doing here?"
"Oh right Bella and I had planned on going to the movies but since you're here I wanted to ask you something" Addison seemed to snap out of her awkward daze as she moved towards the kitchen table "my family is going camping this weekend and Alice and I were wondering if we could borrow Bella for a sleepover" Addison was definitely laying on the sweet/polite teenager charm that all parents liked. "Is it just going to be you three?" Charlie asked obviously wanting to know if Edward was going to be there, "yep just me, Alice, and Bella, no boys or annoying boyfriends allowed" Addison joked and surprisingly Charlie chuckled making Bella's eyebrows furrowed at the scene in front of her "well I'm fine with Bella having some girl time I'm going fishing anyways".
"Oh great! well, then can I go ahead and steal her? we're gonna be late for our movie" Charlie nodded with a smile and Bella still embarrassed from the whole virgin conversation practically bolted for the front door while Addison calmly followed after the human "oh don't be a stranger Addison" Charlie called finally taking a bite of his now cold sandwich. "Alright, I won't Charlie".
"Charlie? You guys are on a first-name basis now?" Bella asked climbing into her rusted truck, "me he likes, but actually, you and Edward will have the house to yourselves tonight, we're all going hunting, powering up for the big battle" Addison smirked at the bashful human "you're welcome".

Addison and Bella softly swung back and forth on old swings in an empty park both clutching warm to-go cups of coffee, "alright now that we're alone with no vampires or werewolves, talk to me, what's the problem?" Addison grimaced slightly at the bitter taste of the coffee waiting for Bella to talk. "I just need some advice and other than Rosalie who I don't really trust yet... you are the only one who will give me blunt honest advice, I just... really don't know what to do about Edward wanting to marry me... and Jacob wanting to kiss me all the time... it's all just such a mess"...
"Okay- Okay" Addison started cutting off Isabella's rambles "okay... first do me a favor and take a deep breath and relax" Bella nodded following Addison's instructions taking a few deep breaths gulping down some of her coffee. "Alright let's get started with the Jacob situation for last which kinda seems to be the entire situation like always..." Addison cleared her throat instantly snapping into what she liked to call her therapist mode which she seemed to only use with Isabella anymore.
"Your dog friend- uh I mean Jacob literally has no emotional control or maturity in general, he's only a couple years younger than you and it shows in almost every single interaction you've had and don't get me started on how he deems your relationship when you've had nothing romantic, he is literally the definition of the friend zone. He doesn't respect your very obvious boundaries and instead of honoring your friendship, he continues pushing a nonexistent romance, he basically sexually harassed you by forcing a nonconsensual kiss that resulted in you punching him in the face and breaking your wrist".
Addison took another sip of her disgusting beverage allowing Bella the time to absorb some of the new information before continuing. "But let's just ignore all of that for a moment and talk about some of the good things Jacob has done, like when Edward left he was the only one who gave you some semblance of happiness again, he was able to put a genuine smile on your face but you still only cared for him as a friend, you two have an amazing friend chemistry and maybe possibly in another universe you could be together but... not this one and he needs to respect that".
Addison saw the sad look on Bella's face and sighed "it's perfectly okay to love them both you know... but it's obvious which one you wanna be with... Do you wanna move on to the Edward/Marriage thing?" Bella nodded taking baby sips of her coffee, she wanted blunt and honest advice...

"Well... We've already been through the cons of Edward so I won't bore you with those again, but really this is your decision... this is literally the rest of your life, do you really want to get married at eighteen or nineteen? You still have time to decide whether you want this life immediately, you still have the time to travel and enjoy the world as a human, put a little healthy distance between you and Edward until you figure out your own life... I mean you two just got back together and now he's talking about marriage but... if marriage is what you want... the I support you 100% but only if you're 100% sure".
Bella sighed swinging her feet back and forth kicking up rocks and dirt "how I am supposed to know... I do love him but I don't know if I'm ready for marriage... h-how did you know Jasper was the one? what was it like for you? what was your proposal like". Addison chuckled glancing down at her wedding ring, "um Bells, I'm not sure my story is very helpful... one of the perks of having a future seeing sister is you kinda know that he's the one before you even meet him". "Just tell me anyway please" Bella begged.
"Okay... umm Alice had a vision of Jasper right after the turning, he was actually her first vision along with the family but I had actually seen him first in my dreams, takes a whole new meaning to 'man of my dreams'... I waited for him in Philadelphia for 28 yearsin this little diner but it was so worth it, there was this instant connection the moment our hands touched... which sounds cheesy". Bella shook her head "it's... it's not, it's actually kinda cute"...

"Yeah... Well we didn't actually get married until two years into our actual relationship, Carlisle and Alice suggested sooner but we wanted time to settle into the new family and we wanted time to just enjoy being together, both of us had never had a healthy steady relationship before, and since we were 'destined to be together forever' we wanted to do it right. The proposal wasn't anything too glamourous but it was still perfect". Bella felt like she was a kid again listening to her mother talk about how she had met her father... although it was way different than her actual childhood stories... "We got married January 21st, it was the date we first met in the diner, our theme was navy blue, red, and white, and of course Alice designed the whole thing, she was more of a bridezilla than I was".
"How- How were you so sure he was the one? How were you so sure getting married was the right decision" Bella asked making Addison let out a slight chuckle. "Oh god... on my wedding day I wasn't so sure, I was a nervous wreck wondering if maybe it was a mistake, I mean literally spending eternity together seemed impossible, but when I saw Jasper standing at the end of the aisle somehow I just knew everything would be okay. I just knew I was making the right decision because I knew that all I wanted was him, he was who I saw myself spending eternity with, Jasper was the right decision"...
"You just know Bells, there's just this feeling in your heart that lets you know you're making the right decision, I think every woman or man gets nervous about marriage, but I also think that marriage is something you need to be ready for, and it's your job to know if your ready or not, I can't help you make that decision". Bella sighed staring at the ground, Addison's words had put things into better perspective but it didn't make the decision any easier...
Addison softly smiled gently interlacing her fingers through Bella's making the human look up "hey... just know whatever decision you make, I'll support you 100% no matter what, and about the whole virgin thing, everyone says there's always a right time and place, but I think the right time is just when your 100% ready to be intimate like that, so don't feel pressured to do anything you feel uncomfortable with".
"Thank you, Addison... for everything", "anytime Bells, anytime" Addison downed the rest of her coffee immediately regretting that choice "ughh" she grimaced making Bella let out a loud genuine laugh. "Oh god... why did you let me drink that? seriously next time slap it out of my hand".
A/n~ I just love these little therapy moments between Bella and Addison because I kinda feel that's what Bella needed was someone who was just 100% honest with her.
Also sorry for my lack of posting my emotional state hasn't been the greatest (didn't help that I had a funeral this week...) but I'm gonna try to post more, or at least I hope I post more.
