No one's POV
The Sun was high in the sky as Summer and Mason walked home with their new pups in tow. Summer and Mason had William and Rachel riding on their shoulders. With William on Mason's and Rachel on Summer's and Max and Susan were walking in between them but, Max had a strange feeling he couldn't shake.
Max's POV
As they were walking through Max had this feeling that they were being watched from the cover he tried to ignore it at first but, no matter how hard he tried to rid himself of this feeling it just kept coming back to him.
Max's mind: "Why do I feel like this nothing is wrong."
Max looked back only to see nothing. However, Max caught a glimpse of a black silhouette quickly dashing across the path only to have it quickly disappear into the forest. Whatever it was moved so quickly he wasn't able to see what it was.
Max's mind: "What was that?"
Max squinted his eyes trying to spot whatever he saw dashing across the road. After watching the road for a few seconds he determined that whatever it was it was gone.
Max's mind: "Well whatever it is it's gone now."
However, he still couldn't shake the feeling they were being watched. Then the soft voice of Summer broke him out of his train of thought.
Summer: "Is something wrong Max?" She asked with a hint of worry in his voice.
Max turned around to see that everyone was now a few feet ahead of him. They all had stopped once they noticed he was just standing there and they were all now facing him with everyone having looks of confusion.
Max then looked back one last time for a split second and then turned back around to face his family.
Max: "Nothing thought I heard something behind us." He said with a small smile.
Summer then walked over to him and knelt down while placing a hand on his shoulder.
Summer: "You don't have to worry about anything anymore dear. And once we get back to the pack there is no one that would dare to mess with us." She said with a smile.
Max looked her in the eyes and couldn't help but smile.
Max: "Ok Summer I believe you." He said truthfully.
Summer: "That's good now come on we still have a little ways to go."
With that, she stood up and started walking off. Max still had that feeling though so he reached behind him and turned off the safeties on his guns. After that, he quickly caught up with everyone and continued walking alongside them.
No one's POV
Back in the woods, the ghoul scout lets out a sigh of relief that he didn't get spotted when he tried to cross the road. Just then his comrade came up behind him and smacked the back of his head for such a reckless act. This caused him to yelp a little but not loud enough for the wolves or children to hear. After he recovered the ghouls quickly resumed their stalking of the family.
Back to the children
The group had decided to take a small break from their travel. Summer and Mason sat down in a small clearing by a small stream. They took the children off their shoulders allowing them to stretch their legs.
Mason's POV
Mason sat down beside Summer with his arm wrapped around her neck. They both leaned against a tree while they watched their new pups playing by the edge of the creek. He then let out a sigh that caught his attention of Summer.
Summer: "What is it, love?"
Mason: "Nothing it's just I never thought this day would come for so long I've dreamed of having a family with you and, now My dream has finally come true." He said smiling widely.
Summer leaned over and gave him a quick kiss but then the two heard something in front of them.
William and Rachel: "EWW." They said while giggling.
The two looked at the children and then an evil smile came over their faces they then faced each other again and kissed each other deeply only to get a few more sounds of disgust from the two youngest kids. After a few seconds Summer broke the kiss.
Summer: "Ok love that's enough we don't want to traumatize the little ones." She said motioning to the children.
Mason: "O I think they'll be fine." He said smiling evilly.
Summer: "Love enough we need to return to our task at hand." She said motioning to the forest.
Mason: "Very well." He said with a smile.
The two then stood up and Mason quickly shot forward and scooped up William and Rachel earning a few yelps from them. He then placed the children on his shoulders and with that, the group continued on their journey.
Timeskip
The group had been walking for about two hours during which William and Rachel had fallen asleep in Mason's arms. Summer had also picked up Susan since she said her feet were starting to hurt. Summer looked to Susan and saw the girl was in deep thought wanting to break the ice she calmy asked.
Susan's POV
Summer: "You doing ok Susan?" She asked curiously.
Susan: "Sure am thanks for taking care of us." She said sweetly
Summer: "No problem my dear."
Summer then looked up and her eyes filled with excitement.
Summer: "Look everyone we've finally made it." She said pointing forward.
Her sudden burst of excitement woke up William and Rachel but when they looked in the direction she was pointing their mouths dropped open. There a few yards in front of them stood a village that was filled with more wolves just like Summer and Mason.
(A/N: Yes I'm a Skyrim nerd deal with it.)
William: "Wow this is amazing." He said in total awe
Mason: "Haha glad you like it William cause this is your new home." He said looking down at the boy.
Mason and Summer placed the children on the ground and were about to say something to them when out of nowhere a voice excitedly shouted filling the air.
???: "Hey everyone Summer and Mason are back."
The two wolves look back towards the village and saw two other wolves along with a pup coming out to greet them. The children became timid upon seeing these new faces and hid behind Summer's legs while Mason stood up and took a few steps forward.
A male wolf Stepped forward from the group and made his way to Mason and brought him into a hug.
William's POV
William peaked out from behind Summer's legs and saw the wolf who was hugging Mason.
He was about the same height as Mason and had white and black fur. He was wearing pants that went down to his lower thighs and, William could see what looked like a giant knife strapped to his belt.
Name: Wilson
Age: 28
Height: 12' 8''
???: "It's good to have you back Mason." He said while chuckling.
Mason: "It's good to see you too Wilson." He said happily.
Wilson: "We worried that something terrible happen to you."
Mason: "Well we kinda run into a small problem." He said while rubbing the back of her neck.
Upon hearing this Wilson became confused since Summer and Mason seemed fine.
Wilson: "What do you mean my friend?" He said curiously.
Just then a female wolf walked up to Wilson and Mason with an older looker pup following right behind her.
The older wolf had white and tan fur and her eyes were blue. She was wearing an animal skin shirt that covered her chest and stomach along with pants that went down to her knees. The second wolf had white and grey fur and, she was wearing the same type of clothing as her mother.
Name: Lucy
Age: 25
Height: 11'6''
Name: Angel
Age: 16
Height: 8'7''
William didn't realize that when he went to get a better look at these new wolves he had stuck out his head in full view. And what was worse the younger wolf had saw his head which she quickly pointed at him.
Angel's POV
Angle: "Who is that?" She said pointing toward William.
All the wolves then looked to where she was pointing to see little William yelp in surprise and quickly retract his head behind Summer's leg.
Lucy and Wilson looked in shock as they quickly realized that there were four little humans behind Summer's legs.
Lucy: "Summer who are these little ones?" She asked while looking at the children.
Summer let out a small chuckle then she knelt down and brought the children from out behind her and moved them in front of her.
Summer: "Lucy, Wilson, Angel I want you to meet our new pups." She said while smiling.
Wilson: "Wait your new pups." He said in complete confusion.
Mason then walked around him and stood beside Summer.
Mason: "That's right we have welcomed these children into our family." He said happily.
Wilson and Lucy just stood there trying to process this new information. But Angel on the other hand walked forward and introduced herself.
Angel: "Hi there my name is Angel what is yours?" She said kindly.
The children looked at her for a second then turned around to Summer as if they were asking her if she was ok or not.
Summer then let out a small chuckle then spoke out.
Summer: "It's ok little ones she won't hurt you." She said trying to reassure them.
The children then turned back around to face Angel and her parents. And one by one they stepped forward and introduced themselves.
William: "Hi my name is William."
Susan: "Hello my name is Susan."
Max: "I'm Max"
Rachel: "And I'm Rachel."
Lucy then walked forward and knelt down in front of the children.
Lucy: "Hello there little ones my name is Lucy and this is my mate, Wilson." She said motioning towards Wilson.
Wilson then Stepped forward and asked a question that was burning in his mind.
Wilson: "Mason where did you find these children?"
Mason: "Well that's a long story." He said while lowering his ears.
This action confused Wilson and his family.
Summer: "Here let me explain."
No one's POV
Summer began to tell Wilson and his family the children from the very beginning right up to now. While she was telling the story the children became saddened and leaned against her and Mason. While Wilson and his family heard their story they couldn't help but become shocked and horrified at what they were hearing. After a few minutes, they were finally caught up on the situation. And to Summer looked at her friends only to see Lucy and Angel were in complete shock while Wilson had a look of disgust on his face.
Wilson's POV
Lucy: "That is horrible no child should ever have to go threw that". She said completely horrified while having her hands over her mouth.
Wilson agreed with his mate then looked at the children and then spoke out.
Wilson: "So these ghouls attacked your home and murder your parents. Then proceeded to destroy everything else." He said angrily.
Max: "Yes sir they completely destroyed it and everything inside. There was barely anything we could have salvaged and the house was beyond repair." He said saddened.
Wilson: "Those filthy, disgusting, cowards, how dare they attack your family when you gave them no reason to." He said angrily.
He then looked over at Summer and Mason.
Wilson: "We need to bring them before Kai and Silver and see what they think about this." He said plainly.
Lucy: "Agreed they need to hear this at once." She said looking at the kids.
However, Angel looked at her parents with a concerned look.
Angel: "But what if Kai doesn't want them to stay." She said concerned.
This caused the children to become very scarred at what she just said. William then ran to Summer and tightly hugged her leg.
William: "But I don't want to leave you." He said with tears forming in his eyes.
This caused Lucy and Angel to look in awe at the boy's attempt to hug Summer. Summer then reached down and hugged him close to her chest.
Summer: "Shh it's ok William he won't send you away I promise." She said with a smile.
William: "Sniff sniff really you mean it." He said staring up at her.
Summer: "Yes dear I promised you that I would protect you and love you and nothing will ever change that." She said smiling down at him.
She then wiped away his tears and brought him closer to her. This action made Angel walk closer to them and look at William.
Angel's POV
Angel: "He is so sweet." She said looking at William.
Summer then got a little Idea.
Summer: "Do you want to hold him, Angel?"
Angel's ears perked up and she looked at her with hope in her eyes.
Angel: "Really!!" She said excitedly.
Summer: "Sure I know you will be gentle with him."
Angel then looked at her mother for approval who nodded yes. She then turned around and waited for Summer.
Summer: "William do you mind if Angel holds you while we go into the village?"
William looked at Angel and saw that she didn't look mean. He then turned to Summer and nodded his head in approval.
Summer then Smiled at him then proceeded to hand him over to Angel. Angel then gently reached out and after picking him up held him to her chest as if he was anew born pup.
Angel: "You're so light and adorable." She said smiling at him.
This caused him to blush which intern caused everyone to laugh at him. Angel then slowly stood up being very careful not to drop him.
Mason: "Alright everyone let's go see Kai. " He said while motioning toward the village.
No one's POV
With that wolves started walking towards the village with Angel still holding William and the rest of the children following close behind.
However, just inside the tree line, the ghoul scouts were closely watching them.
???: We done it, we found their village. Now we can attack and finally take what is rightfully ours." He said smiling Evilly.
He then turned to face his partner.
???: "Go and report our findings to the alpha I will stay here and continue to watch them."
With that, the ghoul ran off into the woods to retrieve his alpha and the rest of the ghouls.
