A/N: A little Jeggy in the midst of the chaos.

Laurens and Peggy went to Schuyler Manor after leaving the police station.  Philip was asleep when Peggy was picked up to go down there and the staff had already left. All they needed to do was get in and be quiet. Or so they thought. As soon as they were thought the front door, the light turned on and Peggy jumped.

"Margarita Schuyler, would you like to explain why a police officer just picked you up and now you have come back with Mr. Laurens?" Philip asked. He was casually sitting in his armchair wearing a fancy rich person robe. It was a lot more intimidating then you'd think.

"Hey, daddy." Peggy started. "I thought you were asleep."

"You really thought that I slept through the police banging on the door for five minutes straight?" He asked as more of a statement.

"Maybe?" Peggy responded.

"What happened?" Philip questioned.

"It's my fault." Laurens spoke up. "I got arrested and Peggy was one of my alibis. I'm not really aloud to say more then that."

"Fine. I trust you and so I won't ask any further questions. But please, Peg. No more surprises tonight?" Philip said.

"Got it." Peggy nodded. "We'll both be back in our dorms in no time."

With that, Philip stood up and went upstairs. Peggy let out a breath of relief and brought Laurens into a room on the other side of the house.

"What's this?" Laurens asked.

"An art room." Peggy smiled. She turned on the lights to reveal material for every type of art you could think of. Including paint, clay, instruments, and much more.

"Wow." Laurens was in awe. "This is incredible! How come you've never brought me here before?"

Peggy started pulling some white sheets off of some of the things. "Well... this room was mainly for my mother. She loved to show me and Eliza how to paint and play piano. We practiced here because the room is sound proof. It was hard to come in here after she died."

"But you have a piano in the other room?" Laurens pointed out.

"That's more of for entertainment when guests are here. This was just for practicing." Peggy explained. "Angelica used to do ballet but me and Eliza were too young for the program she was in, so mom used to show us different types of art. Both canvas and performance. I never was really good at painting. That was more of Eliza's thing."

"Can you still play piano?" Laurens smiled.

Peggy closed the door to the room and pulled a sheet off the baby grand piano. "Again, this is just for practice. So if you really want to hear something, you'll let me play our 1898 steinway in the ballroom some time."

"Is that good?" Laurens asked.

Peggy laughed and nodded. "It's worth more then my car. And I payed a lot for that thing."

"Do you get nervous playing it?"

"Not really. I practice a lot before using it." Peggy replied. She went over and sat down at the piano. She then play for Für Elise for him. When she got done he clapped and she smiled. "I've always loved Beethoven. Do you play anything?"

"Watch and learn." He cracked his knuckles and sat down next to her before playing a single middle C. "Voila!"

"You dork." She laughed as she gave him a small shove.

"No, I can not play an instrument. But I really should get to work on this sketch." Laurens sighed.

"Ok." Peggy nodded. She stood up and went to grab him some drawing supplies. Laurens felt bad for disrupting her night.

"Hey, if you need to get some rest, I'll be fine on my own." Laurens said.

"Are you sure?" Peggy asked. "I really don't mind."

"Don't worry about it. Especially if you have class tomorrow." Laurens insisted.

"Ok." She gave him a quick kiss before heading up to bed.

When Peggy woke up the next morning, she went in to check on Laurens and found out at he had passed out in a chair while still holding the paper in his hand. All it had on it was a head. Not even a face.

"Poor thing. Got too tired." She joked. "Laurens? Laurens. Laurens!"

Laurens jumped when she got loud. "I fell asleep didn't I?"

"You did."

"Alright. I got to get back to work now." He stood up and went over to grab a pencil then went back to the desk he was at before.

"Maybe you should get something to eat first. Breakfast will be ready in about ten minutes." Peggy said.

"Ok, I'll be there in ten." He yawned.

Peggy went to the dining room and saw that her father was already in there.

"Good morning, sweetheart." Philip said.

"Morning." Peggy replied. She walked over to a little butler's pantry where a coffe machine was on the small counter.

"I know I was a little annoyed last night, but it's nice having you back home again." Philip smiled.

"Thanks. And I'm sorry for all the secrecy. I really don't like it, but they said not to tell anyone yet." Peggy sighed.

"It's not your fault."

Laurens came in a few minutes later. "Morning Mr. Schuyler."

"You can call me Philip, Laurens." Philip laughed.

"Sorry." Laurens responded as he sat down.

"You don't need to be nervous around me, son. Peggy likes you, which means I like you."

"Ok." Laurens relaxed.

Breakfast was served just a moment later. Laurens ate quickly before going back to the art room.

"He seems to be in a rush." Philip pointed out.

"He's a little pushed for time. It's complicated." Peggy sighed.

"Ok. Just promise me that whatever is going on that you'll stay safe."

"I promise."
