"No! Please let me go! I want to see my daughter for the last time! I beg of you!" I cry. Hot, fat tears streaking down my face.
"I'm afraid I can't let you go. You are a traitor and this is your penalty." The feminine voice speaks. My shoulders shudder violently and my bottom lip quivers.
She's right. I've done something terrible. I betrayed my family name and got my daughter wrapped up in something she shouldn't have.
I sigh and calm down a bit. I turn my head to see Grisha knelt down with an officer behind him. A familiar officer. The one from the day we went to see the airship and he beat up Grisha.
I turn round to face the officer that was behind me, and there she was. The black haired woman with blue eyes that had no emotion.
"I've met you before when I was younger." I utter. She scoffs.
"You remember that? I thought you would've forgotten."
I spit blood out my mouth and it hits the sand below. "How could I forget? It's the fucking day I took years to get over." She hits the back of my head hard.
"Watch the way you speak to me or I'll kick you down there without turning you into a Titan, so you could be the Titan bait."
I wince at the pain that seems to pulse on the back of my head.
"Please, just kill me..." A familiar voice cry's, their voice sounding fragile. I turn my hear to see Grice. "Please not a Titan..."
"Grice?" I mutter. He seems to hear me and his head turns to face me as the officer takes off his blindfold.
"Arielle?! What the hell?! Why in the world did Alice and Zeke betray us?! She's your daughter!"
"Grice!" Grisha shouts at him.
Grice scoffs. "What did you do to make a child snitch us in, huh? I was an idiot to entrust everything to you! The Restorationists! Dina, too!" He starts crying. "Why did we let... people like you...? Eldia is finished..."
"We've got a lively one here." A voice that sparks something in me. "You're free to go." Grice is suddenly kicked over the edge of the wall and lands on the sand below.
"Grice!" Grisha wails. Grice stands up and looks back up at us with a panicked look.
"Run straight north! If you're lucky, you might make it to the wall!" The man that kicked him down shouts. I glower at him. The fat, stumpy bastard that killed Faye was standing a few meters away from me.
"Sergeant Major Gross?" A officer behind him utters.
"Hm? This your first time here? If we let him run off, the Titans we're about to make will chase him down and leave the area. It won't be long till he's eaten. Isn't that right, Kruger?" He turns to face the officer that was guarding Grisha.
"Yeah." He reply's expressionlessly, as if he didn't want to speak. I looked into the mans eyes from the side. There was something in them that was off. Hatred?
The Sergeant Major claps his hands, snapping me out of my thoughts. "All right, we've got a bunch to do this time! Let's get a move on!"
My eyes widen and I watch as my comrades get injected with the spinal fluid and get kicked off the wall like Grice did.
My vision fogs up again and I taste a salty substance. Tears wouldn't stop falling from my eyes. Everything glows yellow and Titans emerge from the steam. My gaze falls upon Grice who was running for the hills. Shit, he's gonna get fucking eaten right in front of me!
"Guys! Guys, stop it!" Grisha wails. "It's Grice! Can't you see?!" I close my eyes and take deep breaths in and exhaling them quietly.
"Kruger! He's so loud it's annoying." The Sergeant Major groans.
"I still want to interrogate him a bit. Continue without me." Kruger turns round. I hear a few pairs of footsteps behind me. Someone is knelt down beside me. I gasp and start shaking my head frantically.
"No, no, no! Robin! Please." I cry as a the syringe is put into his neck. He smiles sadly.
"It's alright my dear. We'll see eachother again. I love you." He's kicked off the wall and I scream.
"Robin! NO!"
----
"Robin!" I scream sitting up.
"Shh! Calm down, Ezlyn." Jean mutters, pulling me into a hug. I scan the room I was in and saw multiple beds. The medical office? I spot Connie and Sasha behind him with panicked looks.
"Oi, Ezlyn... who's Robin?" Connie stammers. I furrow my eyebrows.
"My husband..." I look at my hands and see no ring. "Where is my ring?"
"Husband?!" Jean lets go of me and grabs my shoulders. "Your not married. You're 18!"
Connie and Sasha giggle. "She's not married yet." Sasha utters then wiggles her eyebrows. Connie bursts out laughing.
"Tch, you two stop! This is serious." Jean snaps. He sighs and turns to face me. "What is your name?"
I scrunch up my nose and squint my eyes. "Arielle Har-" I suddenly remember. Were those my mothers memorys? "Fuck, tell me I'm dreaming." I say looking into Jean's golden eyes.
"No, this is reality-" My mind was racing.
"Kiss me." I interrupt him. He looks at me in shock for a second and shakes his head. Connie and Sasha's jaws fall open.
"E-Excuse me?" He stutters, his face beet red.
"Kiss me to prove it! I don't believe I'm awake." I whine, clenching my jaw. He takes a deep breath.
"Fine." He takes another deep breath and his hand snakes it's way to the back of my head, tangling his fingers in my hair. He starts leaning forward and I close my eyes.
(A/N: SO UNCOMFORTABLE ;o *Ipad kid cough*)
He closes the gap and I taste strawberry for a mere second before his presense disappears completely. I open my eyes to see Jean being lifted up by the collar by the one and only Levi Ackerman.
He looks me in the eyes with a hint of malice in them. "Ezlyn Harper, what is the meaning of this? Did he force himself onto you?!" He looks back at Jean. "What were you doing?"
"Levi! Put him down!" I hear Hanji shout from behind me. She had an arm in a sling and a bandage over her left eye. Levi 'tch'es and obeys, harshly dropping Jean onto the bed opposite mine. He sits on my bed and glares at Jean intensely. "So, Ezlyn, what just happened there?" Hanji asks.
"I don't believe I'm awake. I asked him to kiss me to prove it." I blush suddenly realising that I am awake indeed and I asked my... best friend to kiss me...
"Will you believe that your awake after I do this?" Levi lifts his hand to my forehead and flicks it hard. I finch and bring my hands up to my head.
"Yes I do. Stupid." I rub my head. He does it again.
"Attitude, lady." He growls.
"Sorry." I whimper, rubbing my forehead. It stung quite bad. Oh shit, I should tell Hanji about the memories. I look up at Hanji. "Hanji, you may not believe this but, I think I saw my mothers' memories." Her eye widens.
"That was the case for Eren. Armin said that he got up screaming and crying not long ago." She points to the door behind her with her thumb. My breath hitches in my throat. "Jean, go get some paper and a feather and ink. Ezlyn needs to write down everything she saw in those memories." She orders. Jean nods and gets up then runs out the room.
--
I was given space to write the memories down on paper so Hanji could see if there was any similaritys between my 'dream' and Eren's 'dream'.
I tap the feather against the table impatiently. What the hell. I can't remember the important bits! I start bouncing my leg out of frustration. The paper was still blank with the title, 'Ezlyn's Dream Report'. It flashed through my mind again. Faye's death. The Restorationists. Grisha. Robin. Alice. Marley. Eldia. Zeke. Warriors. Kruger and the pretty officer.
I put the tip of the feather into the ink and started scribbling down the things I remember before they disappear again. 'In my 'dream', I seemed to be in a different country named Marley and in someone else's body. I must've been inside my mother, Arielle's, body because I was being addressed by her name. Grisha Jeager had a little sister named Faye and one day my mother took them out of their home, which they call the 'internment zone', to show them a strange round thing named a 'Blimp' or 'Airship...'
My head starts pounding painfully and the feather falls out my hand. "Ow, ow, ow." I whimper, holding my head in my hands. My vision grows hazy and my head falls against the desk, the muscles supporting it giving up. My breathing shallows and my eyes droop shut against my will.
I feel my consciousness slip through my fingers and I lose it completely.
-
My breathing becomes shakey as I watch Robin's Titan walk away. I shake my head frantically. "No, no, no." I utter, tears falling down my cheeks, burning in to my skin like acid. "This world is fucking hell! Our ancestors done the right thing torturing the Marleyans! I hope someone destroys this god-forsaken world using the Power of the Titans." I seeth through my teeth. Hatred. Anger. Abhor! This world can go to hell!
"Oh? You sure you wanna say that missy. I can always kick you down now with out turning you in to a Titan." The Fat Major walks up beside me.
"Shut the hell up, shitass! You killed Faye that day, fifteen years ago! Why do you do this? Do you enjoy it? Huh?! Did you enjoy killing an innocent seven-year-old?!" A deranged smile pulling up the corners of my mouth.
He looks at me with frigid eyes as another one of my comrades is knelt down in front of him. "Yes, in a way it's interesting. To have control over whether someone lives or dies is fascinating and makes you feel... powerful." He says, injecting my comrade with spinal fluid then kicking him off the wall. "Do you understand me, m'lady?"
I grit my teeth. "You sadistic bastard. You are twisted, just like all Marleyans. We Eldians are the devil's this world needs!" A crazed laugh slips from my throat as Grisha looks at me in horror.
"You seem like you have a whole list of things to say, Lady Harper." He grabs my hair and starts trying to push me off the wall. "Why don't you recite it to your friend down there?! Hear that, your husband is calling you to join him!" I stand up abruptly and hit his chin with the top of my head.
I freeze at my actions. He rubs his jaw and smiles. "That's it, you've done it missy!" He charges at me, arms outstretched ready to push me off. But a pair of hands pushes him off the wall before he reaches me.
I watch as he falls to the sand below, right in front of the Titan that was waiting for it's first meal. He rubs his head and looks up at the Titan, a look of pure terror spreads across his face in an instant.
The Titan picks him up and lifts him up to it's mouth as the Major screams for help.
"Well? Is it really that interesting?" Kruger asks. I turn to face the two officers.
"You're..." Grisha mutters.
The lady flings away her cap and let's her hair loose. "I'm the Flowerpecker and he's the Owl." She goes in to her boot and pulls out a dagger with a golden hilt and flowers carved in to it.
"Remember this, Grisha, Arielle. A Titan uses their power like this." The Owl and Flowerpecker both drive a knife through he palm of their hands and lightning strikes down on them.
The ground shakes below us and I fall over onto Grisha's shoulder. He helps me stand up as the steam clears and we both look over the edge to see what happened.
There they stood. Two massive Titans. One with dirty blonde hair and light green eyes that seemed to glow. The other taking a female form with hardly any skin on her legs with long black hair. She had a black, floral, long-sword in her hand.
I felt hope bubble up inside of me as I watch the two massive Titans kill the Marleyans and sink the boat we came in. I subconsciously smile and laugh.
"No way." I grin looking up at Grisha. "We're gonna live." Grisha looks down at me and smiles sadly.
"I- I guess we will."
I stare at the massive, female-like Titan in awe. I wonder what it's like to have so much... power.
