You had never been on a date before. A proper date, that is. The cliché romantic dinner or the dancing under the stars. You hadn't even been kissed in the rain. It was something you couldn't do with your current girlfriend anyway — unless it was the dinner.
As much as you loved your romantic little vampire, you felt bad for not being able to give her the fantasies she desired. The kiss in the pouring rain — she could be harmed a lot easier since she'd be cold. The dancing under the stars? Kind of difficult during winter. That left her third and least favorite, a romantic dinner.
It upset you to know the one thing you could do for her, was also her least favorite type of date. You wanted her to enjoy it — you wanted the both of you to enjoy it — and she couldn't do that if she hated it. That's why you were currently searching through the many books she had in your shared room, trying to find a date idea that she would enjoy and could do. Your search was stopped when Cassandra entered the room and tapped your shoulder, making you nearly jump out of your skin.
"Christ, Cass! I'm going to put a fucking bell on you." You whisper-yelled, glaring at her giggling form.
"I could just swarm out of it." She smirked, glancing behind you to the pile of romantic books. "Don't tell me Dani actually got you to read those..."
"No—! I'm... I want to take her on a date but, all of the ones she loves we can't do. Since you know, weak to the cold..." You pouted, staring at the ground. "And I've never been on a date before either so, I don't know what to do."
She stayed silent for a moment, causing you to look up and be met with her baffled face. It amused you to see it but, you knew why it was there. She knew of your extensive history of lovers, and her face confirmed that she thought at least one of them had taken you on a proper date. Her gaze made you fidget, your cheeks heating up drastically.
"I-It's lame, I know..." You whispered, gently biting the inside of your cheek. "I've been in countless relationships and now I'm dating a hopeless romantic and I have no idea what to do. She deserves the best, but I'm not sure I can give that to her in terms of a first date..."
Cassandra seemed to snap out of her daze, a genuine laugh leaving her. This left you baffled and made you shift nervously, your [E/C] gaze shifting between her and the floor. It only took her a few seconds to stop laughing, a frown evident on her face.
"You weren't joking?" You shook your head and sighed, tears pricking your eyes. All you ever wanted was to give Daniela the world, to love her the way she deserved to be loved. Cassandra hummed in thought before grabbing your arm, dragging you out of the room.
"Where are we going?" You asked, trying your hardest to keep up with her.
"To mother, I'm sure she'll have an idea."
"You just want to be around your mother." You grumbled, smirking at her hiss.
It was no secret Cassandra preferred being near their mother, she felt safer at her side. She also helped her mother a lot, with Bela constantly in the cellar and Dani with you or patrolling the castle, it left Cass and lady Dimitrescu to spend more time together. It warmed your heart to see the mother-daughter interactions between them, making you glad you were able to see that side of them. Once the two of you reached the lady's study, Cassandra knocked on the door, pulling you inside once her mother gave you permission.
"Mother! [Y/N] would like help planning a date with Dani!" Cassandra chirped, immediately gaining the attention of her mother.
Hours passed and it took both sisters and lady Dimitrescu to convince Daniela to not eat dinner with them. That obviously made her curious and slightly upset, which made your heart flutter when you saw her pout. She flopped onto your shared, a low sigh leaving her only to be muffled by the bed. When you didn't react, she let out a low growl before sighing again — this time louder. You spared her a glance but said nothing, going back to your sketch. A few moments later, your sketch pad was across the room, Daniela's hands pressed firmly on the headboard, trapping you between her and the bed.
"So you're ignoring me now? First, I'm asked to not eat dinner with my family, and now—." You cut her off with a quick kiss, gently cupping her face in your hands.
"Liebling," You hummed, gently brushing your thumbs over her cheekbones. "I asked them to do that."
"Why would you...?" She asked quietly, her pout returning to her face.
"I-I..." You sighed in defeat, letting your arms drop. "I wanted to surprise you with a cute date. But we couldn't come up with anything special so... It was just going to be us at dinner. I know it's your least favorite date type but, we ca—."
This time it was her that cut you off with a kiss, hers lingering longer than yours did. When she pulled away, tears pricked your eyes, making you continue what you were saying since she hadn't spoken up yet.
"But we can wait until spring or summer," You whimpered out, glancing away from her. "I wanted our first official date to be something we'd both love."
"Prinţesă," She hummed, gently placing a finger under your chin and turning your head to face her. "Any first date we have, I'll love. I'll love it because it'll be with my prinţesă and you're all I need to be happy."
"Dani..." You breathed out, falling in love with her even more, especially after she smiled at you.
"Now," She giggled, getting off of the bed and offering you her hand. "Prinţesă, I believe we have a dinner date."
"I believe we do." You smiled, taking her hand and getting out of bed.
