Shruti's POV
" Please don't bother... I am not interested in your relationship status. I don't even want to talk to him, I am here around him because I have to assist him for the next two months." I said walking towards the door. But she came after me.
" You think, you are very smart?? I don't know, how you managed to get to assist him. You manipulating bi*** !!! "
" Mind your language, Dr Isha, or I will forget that you are my senior. "
" Don't be too happy about this assisting him as an intern. Just stay away from my Sid !! He is my boyfriend. Don't even think of thinking about him. "
" I have no interest in him."
" Good for you... Because if you ever try to think about him, I will destroy you. "
" Please leave! You might be absolutely free and have nothing else to do, but I have a hell lot of work. " I said and rushed to OT.
I went to OT after wearing scrubs. Dr Jindal was annoyed as hell on me for being late.
" What is wrong with you, Dr Singh?? Why are you late?? What was so important, that could not wait?? " He snapped at me the moment I entered the OT. Every one was looking at me.
" Sorry, sir !! " I said.
" Sorry ?? That's it?? Be serious !! "
" Yes sir. " I nodded and he started the process. He was absolutely focused and serious in what he was doing, no doubt, he is one of the best Dermatologist in the city. I made a video for Raman and Anita and tried to learn some finer points.
The transplant was over and I went out of the OT to go to our department. The lunchtime was going to be over in about 10 minutes.
I was really hungry and I took out my tiffin box and went to eat food. Kunal also came there to eat almost at the same time. He saw me and came towards me with a big smile on his face.
" Hey, Shruti... Nice to meet you after so long. I was planning to come and meet you but was very busy till now. Dr Parth is a slave driver. He keeps giving me more and more work. Anyways, I was planning to meet or at least call you today. " We both started eating.
" Regarding what ?? " I asked.
" What?? Can't I come to meet you just like that?? " He said in a flirting tone.
Just then, Siddharth came into the dining area and ordered coffee and Paneer patties and was talking on the phone.
" Ok, fine... I wanted to ask you to come with me to the welcome party as my date. " Kunal said and I was a bit taken aback.
Why was he doing all that?? That day, he said that he missed me and today he wanted me to go to the party as his date??
Just then I saw that Siddharth saw us having lunch and by the look on his face, I could say that he heard what Kunal said.
He clenched his jaw and fist. I was scared that he might create a scene here but he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He turned away from us, told the cashier to cancel the order and went out.
Oh, God !! Not again...
" Shruti?? " Kunal asked me.
" No, I am sorry Kunal, I will not be able to come. "
" But why?? "
" I am not interested. Sorry. " He kept persuading me but I refused.
I excused myself and got up to go out and on my way out, I told the cashier to give me the food, Dr Jindal ordered. I took them and went to the dermatology department.
He had not had even a coffee since morning.
So, how does that matter to you?? My soul asked.
It does not matter to me but he must take care of himself.
Oh yes... But he has a girlfriend to take care of him.
She can't even take care of herself. How will she take care of him??
So you jumped in and decided to take care of him. Why? What right do you have over him?
No, but he is my friend at least.
Friend !!!! Just friend?? Ok... All the best !! Soul said and then kept quiet.
I went to our department and then I knocked on the door to his cabin.
" Come in!! " He said but I knew that he was angry, I went in.
He was pacing in his cabin like a wounded lion. I placed his coffee and Patties on his table.
" I don't want it. " He said.
" Have it... You have not eaten anything since morning. " I said with concern.
" Oh please !! How does that matter to you?? Don't show fake concern. " He said looking away.
" Fake concern?? I don't need to show any at all. Eat the food. " I turned to go out of the room. But he stopped me.
" I don't want your food. I want an explaination... What were you doing with him?? " He asked me.
How dare he?? He was having a girlfriend and still was asking me a question as if he was my boyfriend and he caught me with another man.
" Didn't you see, we were having lunch?? " I said. I was not going to be intimidated by him.
" No !! He was asking you to go with him as his date. "
" So what?? "
" So, he was the one who was more important to you than the surgery? " He asked all of a sudden.
" What?? "
" Did you get late because that man suggested you to have a lunch date with him as he was missing you so badly?? " He said coming close to me. I had never seen him like that.
I was alarmed by this sudden proximity, so took a few steps back. But he kept coming towards me so I also kept going back till my back touched the wall. He placed both his hands on the wall behind me on either side.
" Dr Jindal, please... " I pushed him and tried to turn my head But he was too quick and strong for me.
He took another step to evade any space between us and caught my lips with his warm and hard ones. He held my face in my hands and kept kissing my lips as if he would devour them.
Oh, God!! I don't know, what I was feeling, but I could not push him away. I was shocked but didn't dislike what he was doing.
Suddenly, I felt that I made a little sound, not like a whimper or a moan but as if some kind of flame flickered in me. He answered it with a sound from deep in my throat.
His arms tightened around me and his mouth opened hungrily over mine and I don't know what happened all of a sudden, but as if I was possessed or something. I rose to my toes, my arms closed around his neck and I lifted myself more to him.
I could not even stop myself. Our hearts were racing and just then as if he realised what had happened earlier.
He released me immediately and stepped back a bit. I was relieved and disappointed at the same time. But I tried to concentrate and focus on the issue.
" Tell me, were you late because he came to meet you? " He asked looking into my eyes and his face was very closed to mine.
" No !! "
" Don't lie to me, I saw you both were enjoying your lunch. He must have come to meet you to suggest it before you came to OT. "
" No, he didn't come to meet me before the surgery. I was having lunch when he also walked in so he came to have lunch. But why are you even asking?? I am not bound to give you any answers. "
" You are !! You are supposed to tell me. You are mine... How dared he plan to go to the party with you?? "
" Why?? What is wrong with that??? "
" What is wrong with that?? Don't you know, how I feel about you?? How can you even ask that?? " He was very angry.
I didn't say anything...
Just then we heard voices, I pushed him and he stepped back. He went back to his chair. I took few deep breaths.
