Tig and I spent the next several days at the cabin as our honeymoon. We didn't do much other than have sex but neither of us were going to complain about that. On our last day at the cabin I rolled out of bed about ten am and instantly got sick. I ran to the bathroom and threw up as Tig woke up in the bedroom.
"Sam, baby," he said and when he heard me puking he ran in.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I don't know," I said. I rinsed my mouth out with some water and brushed my teeth.
"Feel better?"
"I feel fine," I said. "Which is weird."
"Could be morning sickness," he said.
"Yeah, I missed my last period," I said. "I just figured it was late because of the stress of the wedding and everything."
"Guess you need a pregnancy test," he said. He was smiling from ear to ear.
"I'll call St. Thomas and get an appointment," I said. He nodded and I stepped out to make the call. Luckily they could get me in that afternoon.
Tig and I packed up and locked up the cabin so we could head back into Charming for the appointment.
As he drove we talked about a lot of things.
"Babe, what about your girls," I said.
"Fawn doesn't want much to do with me anymore so Dawn is with her on that," he said. "I've tried but I screwed up too bad. I'll always love them and if they want me in their lives I'll be there. For now I'm respecting that they want distance."
"That's not because you're married to me, right?"
"No," he said. "I was a shit father to them. Chose the club over them and their mom. I never really loved her. Just knocked her up and felt obligated to settle down with her til it all fell apart. She left and took the girls."
"Do you want more kids?" I asked.
"Yeah, a couple. Maybe these ones will like me," he said.
"Ava loves you, and if I'm pregnant again, this baby will love you too," I said. It fell silent for the last few moments before we pulled into the St. Thomas parking lot.
We headed inside and went to the appointment. They ran some tests before leaving Tig and I alone in the exam room.
"You nervous?" I asked. He was bouncing his leg a little and looked stressed.
"Yeah."
"Don't be. You're a great dad already. Ava loves you. You love her. If I'm pregnant, this baby will be the most loved child ever. Between us and the club."
He nodded, knowing his brothers would be excited for us. We talked a little more about the possibility of having a baby and he seemed to relax. He was really nervous about me being pregnant and what that would entail.
When the doctor returned with the results, we were ready to be out of the hospital and ready to be parents again. The doctor did an ultrasound to double check what he'd found.
"Congratulations," he said. "You're about nine weeks along and from the looks of it, you're having twins."
I looked at Tig and he was crying. I smiled softly and he grabbed my hand tighter.
"We're gonna be parents again," I said.
He nodded his head and the doctor prescribed me some prenatal stuff before he told us we could leave.
"Let's go make the announcement," he said. I nodded excitedly and he made the call to Jax to make sure everyone would be at the clubhouse.
