Perth was already tired of his situation. He couldn't bear this anymore. Married life was so different from what he had expected. He was lonely and afraid, but most importantly he felt unloved.

Saint, his husband of four months, had agreed to marry him and as surprisingly it may seem, he wasn't forced into it. Oh, how well had Saint played the role of someone in love! Their marriage was arranged but Perth had fallen in love with him the moment their parents made their meeting possible.

Saint's and Perth's father's have been best friends since their childhood up until university. Saint's father had moved to Bangkok from Pucket after finishing his studies in Uni, and Perth's father had remained in Pucket. They both had went into the business field since that was their major.

Their fathers, Mark and Jack, met after thirty years from not seeing each other. They had talked as if those thirty years had only been thirty minutes. One conversation led to another when Jack told Mark that Saint was bisexual and Mark confessed that Perth was gay.

After meeting a couple of times, they had come up with the brilliant idea of arranging a meeting for both of their sons, of course, if they would willingly agree to that, so their companies would be united and create one of the most powerful companies in Thailand. Ironically, both companies dealt with importing and exporting goods. It appeared to be a great plan.

Perth was 21 and Saint was 25 when they had the first meeting. The tall boy was the most attractive human being Perth had ever seen. Tall, white dyed hair, nice build and the most amazing smile ever. Saint had seemed like an angel on their dates. Always kissing Perth's cheek or hand whenever they met. Their engagement had lasted for 3 months and then they married, Saint wanting to marry as soon as possible. Perth had a bad feeling about how rushed the plans were, but Saint had made sure to lessen those worries by telling him that he was sure about his 'feelings and couldn't wait any longer.

How sweet those words were and Perth had believed every word. During their engagement, Saint had never made a move to kiss Perth on the lips or touch him in an intimate way. He had only hugged Perth or kissed his cheek. Perth, being the sweet, loving and naive boy had thought that Saint was so sweet for respecting him. How wrong he was.

Everything was torn apart the first night for the married couple.

The wedding banquet had ended at 1:30 a.m. in the morning when Saint told him to go first to the house-their parents had bought them as a wedding present and that he would soon after because he needed to finish some business and make sure everything was running smoothly.

Perth believed him and made his way home. How nervous Perth had been since this was supposed to be their first night together. He had taken off his clothes and put on his pajamas waiting in their bedroom for Saint to come home. He had gotten so worried that something had gone wrong or even worse something bad had happened to Saint. He tried to push those thoughts to the back of his mind, easing the worry with thinking that if something bad had happened he would've already been notified about it. The clock had struck 4:30 a.m., and he still wasn't asleep, when he heard a noise downstairs at the front door and some jangling of keys to open it.

Carefully he stood from the bed and went downstairs to open it. Shock flashed on his face when he was met with a disturbing and disgusting view in front of him.

Saint was drunk and his clothes were anything but clean! His hair scattered wildly about his head and the alcohol literally seeping through his pores that could be smelled from distance mile away.

When Perth had tried to help him come in and stop Saint from stumbling, he was shoved away harshly hitting the wall and in the process bruising his arm.

"Don't ever touch me I don't wanna see you!" Saint slurred in his face looking him in the eye.

"I-I don't understand..." Perth managed to say his voice low, pushing from the wall holding his left arm.

"What don't you understand? I. DON'T. WANT. YOU!" Saint said again while making his way to the living room not even glancing at his husband, Perth followed him in horror.

"Why are you talking like this?" Perth managed to get out, although he felt like he was being ripped to pieces.

"You really thought I loved you? You really must be fucking stupid! Who would ever love you?" He slurred eyeing the boy up and down, a disgusting smirk on his face showing Perth that he didn't regret any of his words from where he sat on the big grey sofa.

Perth folded his arms in front of him, tears falling from his eyes, wetting his cheeks before managing to speak. "Then why..."

"Why did I agreed to marry you? Simple. I want power! I deserve it. You don't. I am really doing your family a favour. You wouldn't be able to manage the business being so fucking naive and stupid. You haven't even finished college for fuck's sake." The foul mouthed man said nonchalantly as if he was telling a cute story to little kids.

"How c-can you be so h-heartless? Why are you doing this?" Perth's heart sank as he managed to register and process all the ugly words his husband had said to him. He managed to sit on the couch away from Saint in their living room.

He need to balance himself, because if he stayed on his feet much longer, he was sure he would collapse.

"I told you why. Now tell me why were you up so late, hmm? Were you waiting for me to fuck you? Ha! As if that would happen! We are staying in different rooms. I want to make sure that I see as little of your face as possible." Saint stood from where he was sitting making his way to Perth and grabbed his arm and captured his chin in one hand.

"Take your hands off of m-me! D-don't ever touch me!" Perth screamed. His cheeks were smashed between Saint's fingers, looking into his husband's eyes, their color turning into a disgusting darker one.

"I don't want to touch you, believe me! I am just making sure that this conversation doesn't leave this house ever! You won't tell this to anyone! Not your friends or your mommy and daddy!" Saint mocked in a baby voice to Perth's face before hardening his grasp on the smaller boy. "Are we clear?"

"No!" Perth protested, pushing Saint's hand from his face barely managing to move it. He didn't want to stay there a moment longer. He didn't want to see that face anymore. He wanted to go home.

"Don't test my patience! You don't know what I can do to you. If you want to get a divorce or an annulment from this marriage, trust me when I say that you will be the one losing everything so don't even think about that as an option. You are going to be one of those little good wives that does everything her husband says and don't even try to push me away, your little body doesn't stand a chance in front of me! Are we clear? Don't make me repeat myself!" Saint snarled moving his face to Perth's, barely inches apart.

Perth looked down not wanting to see him anymore. "Yes. We're clear," he answered.

"Look at me when I talk to you!" Saint shook the younger boys' head.

"We are clear!" Perth yelled to his face. He pushed Saint away again and Saint released him.

"Oh, and one last thing," Saint added, "The master bedroom is mine. You'll move to one of the guest rooms. I don't really care which. So tomorrow make sure all of your shit isn't there anymore." Saint made the way to the master bedroom leaving Perth shocked and hurt.

Perth sat on the floor quietly. He brought his knees to his chin hugging them. His world was shattered in minutes. The man he thought he loved turned out to be a monster. How can someone pretend to love someone and then completely change in mere seconds? How could he have been so stupid and blind to not understand Saint's true intentions?

He got up from the floor and made his way to the second floor of the house. He chose the room that was the farthest away from Saint's. He entered it quickly, not wanting to give Saint the satisfaction of hearing him bawl his eyes out.

He sobbed for what felt like hours in a fetal position on his bed in the cold room. After his eyes were red and puffy from crying he finally managed to get some sleep.

The next day Perth woke up at 10:00 a.m. in the morning. He hoped that Saint had got up and the house so he could gather his things from the master bedroom. He went to the bathroom and washed his face and brushed his teeth. He looked at himself in the mirror. The dark circles under his eyes from the lack of sleep and all the crying he did made him feel uglier than he already felt. He patted his cheeks a couple of times to get some color in them but failing.

Perth walked out of the room and made his way to the master bedroom. He opened the door as quietly as he could. Saint was still asleep.

He was sprawled out in the middle of the bed, face down inthe mattress, his head covered by one of the pillows. Good. 'I hope he suffocates' Perth thought.

He walked slowly around the room, wanting to get his things out of there as soon as possible, not wanting to see the room nor Saint any longer.

He got his suitcases, thankful that he hadn't unpacked everything. Then he made his way to the bathroom to get his toiletries, grabbing his body wash and various lotions from the front cabinets. When he bent down to get the towels he had put in the lower cabinets he heard, "Presenting your ass to me won't make me want you." The voice he hated more than anything in the world spoke deep and slow behind him.

He got up quickly, turned around, not looking at Saint's face not even once when he made his way out of the bathroom as he spoke, "I was just grabbing my things."

He went to get his suitcases as Saint spoke again, "Good." Saint closed the bathroom door harshly and Perth cursed at him in his mind.

Perth went back to his room and started unpacking his things to keep himself busy. He put everything neatly in his closet and in his bathroom. He was still feeling emotional, so he cried again, beginning to hate his new life, but most importantly hating himself for not being able to recognize the monster Saint truly was.

From that point on him and Saint grew further away more and more every day. When Perth heard Saint get up in the mornings he stayed in his room until he made sure that Saint was out of the house.

Their first night as a married couple hadn't been the worst. Not by a long-shot. The worst night was when Saint brought his first mistress home. Saint had made sure that Perth knew he was fucking her by leaving the door to his room slightly open so that he could hear her disgusting screams.

Perth had closed his eyes tight and muffled the noises with his pillow covering both sides of his head while crying with his broken heart once again.

From that night on, Saint's mistresses were more and more frequent, so much so that Perth had lost count.

It was four months since their wedding and nothing had changed. Perth and Saint were virtually strangers to one another. Perth intended to keep it that way. The only good thing at his new house is the housekeeper Orn, a 47-year-old woman that was like a mum to him. She knew everything about his situation.

How could she not?. Orn practically lived with them. She offered Perth comfort and tried making his days a little better.

Perth felt trapped even more now that his studies were coming to an end. He was majoring in business like his father, to continue their family business, but with Saint in the middle, he couldn't keep up with his studies. So he was forced to stay at home.

For the first three months, Perth had slept every night with tears in his eyes. Now he was becoming a little number to it but he was also lonely. Home was a foreign word to him now. He didn't know where his home was, certainly not with Saint, because he had made sure Perth knew that.

It was a Tuesday afternoon and Perth was waiting for his best friend's Yacht and Plan in a coffee shop fifteen minutes away from his house. It was a little coffee shop they had always went to after finishing classes.

"Hey mate! How long have you been waiting for us?" said Yacht, the cheery boy, with Plan beside him.

"A little while. Take a seat boys." Perth gave them a little pat on the shoulder at the same time as they walked in front of him.

"How has married life been treating you?" Plan asked resting his head on his left hand.

"Fine." Perth took a long sip of his black coffee. Since he's been married he had lost the joy for almost everything, so plain black coffee was one of the things he got used to, to him now everything tasted the same.

"You don't seem too happy with it. Come on! Give us the juicy stuff. We haven't seen you in like forever. Since you got married bud! I was afraid Saint wanted you only to himself, because you distanced yourself from us." Yacht smiled as if to tell him that he had forgiven him for not meeting them.

Perth snorted, "No, it has nothing to do with Saint wanting me to himself. I'm just getting used to my new life you know? I really have missed you guys. I am happy you came to visit me."

"Of course we would come to visit you," Yacht said before the waitress came to their table to get their orders. "I would like a turkey sandwich, a blueberry muffin, a chocolate croissant, and a vanilla latte. Oh and a peanut butter cookie. Thanks." Yacht handed the menu to the waitress who eyed him in astonishment.

"Just a chamomile tea for me," Plan ordered. When the waitress left he added looking at Yacht, "I seriously don't get how you manage to eat all that?"

"What? I'm hungry!"

"You literally ate a chocolate bar half an hour before we got here," Plan said in disbelief.

"And your point is?" Yacht looked at him confused.

"Okay, okay enough. Talk to me guys, tell me what you have been up to all this time?" Perth interrupted them.

"Oh, I managed to get a job at that bar I told you about. You know, Moonlight. I sing there now every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's wicked." Yacht answered first.

"I am so happy. Finally, something you really wanted. Oh, and I didn't really get to thank you properly for singing at my wedding. I felt so proud of you, thank you, buddy. What about you Plan?"

"Not much really. I got a part-time job at that gallery downtown. It's not much but getting there."

"Come on Plan tell him. That's not everything you've been doing and you know it!" Yacht added nudging his shoulder and Plan lowered his head smiling and blushing a little.

"What?! Tell me!" Perth spoke with excitement in his voice.

"Well," Plan swallowed scratching the back of his neck, "Remember at your wedding, one of Saint's friends there... uh... Mean. Well, we've... um... yeah!"

Perth gulped. He didn't want this. Oh no, he didn't want his best friend to be in love with Saint's best friend. Maybe they weren't even in love. Maybe Perth was reading too much into this. Maybe they were just having a nice time. Hopefully.

"Really?" Perth managed to sound somehow excited. "How long?"

"We started to see each other since the wedding. We were only fuck-buddies at first." Plan started to get a little too excited. "Then after about two months things started to get a little more serious and we started dating officially."

Oh no.

"So are you boyfriends now?" Perth asked again.

"Well, I think so. We haven't really named it, but yeah, since we are dating I guess you can say he is my boyfriend."

"He is whipped let me tell you. All he ever does is talk about him. He's being a shy little fucker right now," Yacht added laughing while Plan slightly punched him in the shoulder.

The waitress came back with the food. Yacht's eyes shined with excitement and dove into it as soon as the waitress left.

"I am really happy for you" Perth said after a while. His problems were his and his alone. He had just hoped that when he hung out with his friends, Saint wouldn't be mentioned as much, so he could forget about him for a little while, and now with Plan dating Mean, that would be even more difficult.

They stayed for about an hour talking about things in general and Perth was grateful his friends didn't try to get more information about his marriage. Then they parted ways.

Yacht gave him a lift home and then went on his way. Perth had never been so jealous of Yacht's life until now. Yacht was free to do what he wanted, he wasn't a prisoner in his own house. Yacht still had a chance to meet the love of his life, unlike him, who was forced to stay with someone that couldn't even stand to look at him, let alone feel something for him.

Perth made his way to the front door of his own private hell. He went to the kitchen to get a cold glass of water. He shouted Orn's name but there was no answer.

Perth went to his room and changed into a pair of sweats before going back to the living room. He saw that Orn had left him some leftovers. He put the plate of pasta in the microwave and got a glass of sparkling water. After his food finished heating he took his plate out and went to the living room to find something to watch.

Perth put on an old movie and started eating. The big TV he had in their living room was one of the few things he was grateful for. Perth had always lived a comfortable life, since his parents are wealthy, but they did make sure he was raised as a humble man who respected everyone. He always wished the best for others and always made his parents proud, so that was part of the reasons his parents had accepted him for being gay with no problem. Also, he was their only child and they didn't want to lose him or turn their backs on him.

Being an only child, Perth had always felt lonely so in order to make new friends his only option was to be kind and friendly. His mother had taught him that "You can mend more wounds with kind and caring words rather than being cold and cruel." He always agreed with her words. That is until he met the devil himself.

Speaking of the "devil," Perth heard the front door open while he was watching a movie. He quickly got up from where he was, paused the movie and went to put his unfinished plate in the sink, wanting to get out of there before Saint could see him. Of course, Saint saw him as soon as he was climbing up the stairs.

"Wait a minute. I want to tell you something," he said in a monotone voice. Perth stopped and turned around to show Saint he was listening.

"Tomorrow night we are going to have dinner with my family. My mother thought it's been a while since we've been there. So I expect you to do as I tell you. Understood?" Saint said with a voice so cold that the air around him could freeze.

"Yes." Perth simply said turning around again and making his way to his room.

Saint placed his belongings on the coffee table and then went to the kitchen to get himself a beer. As soon as he opened the fridge he saw a plate on the sink. It was unfinished. He touched the plate. It was still kind of warm. Perth had stopped eating as soon as he knew Saint had gotten home. He didn't want to see Saint, even if that meant he would go hungry.

Something poked Saint's heart as the thought passed his mind, but as always he let it pass and made his way to his bedroom to get some rest after a stressful day at work.
