Your eyes slowly opened once the sound of someone knocking on your door reached your ears, body slowly sitting up as you brought a hand up to rub the sleep from your eyes. It had been weeks since you stumbled into the castle and became the 'pet' for the daughters and the last few weeks had been the best for you.
"I'm up." You called out, a yawn soon following as your door opened to all three sisters. "Oh— do you three need blood?"
They all nodded and stepped into your room, closing the door behind them. You let the blanket fall, shifting slightly in your bed. It had been two weeks of them doing this, every morning they'd drink from you — but only in the morning. It baffled you as to why but, you were ever grateful for the time between them feeding from you. You moved to the headboard, holding your arms out for them. The bed dipped on both sides of you before your arms were moved to your sides again.
"Can we drink from your neck this time?" Daniela asked timidly, catching you off guard.
They had never really asked before, usually just slicing into your arms and drinking from there. You felt Daniela shift slightly before grabbing your right arm, lifting it quietly. You pulled your arm away, letting out a soft sigh before laughing at their shocked faces. You had never done something like that before and it had left them completely shocked.
"Sorry," You whispered when they hissed at your laughter. "I didn't respond quick enough, but I was going to say that you can."
Their gold eyes lit up before Daniela and Cassandra leaned closer towards you, tilting your head back so both of them could get a clean bite to drink from. You didn't even flinch when their fangs sunk into your skin, your gaze staying on Bela whom you hadn't noticed had taken a seat on your lap.
"You didn't have to let us." Bela whispered; gold eyes full of uncertainty.
Once her sisters had their fill of your blood, they pulled away and nodded in agreement. Another sigh slipped passed your lips as you moved your hands to rub the back of Cassandra and Daniela.
"What's with you three today?" You hummed in thought, tilting your head slightly. "I told Daniela when I first became your blood bag—."
"You're more than that!"
You froze when all three blurted that out, arching a brow at the three of them as they climbed out of your bed. Before you could even ask for clarification, they were gone and your door had slammed shut. A low groan left you as you pulled yourself from the warmth of your bed, making your way towards the door.
"What the hell did you three mean by that?" Your forehead rested against the door as you debated on leaving to find them. "Please mean what I hope it means."
'Can't believe I fell for them over the course of two weeks. Granted they did take care of me and rarely left my side for those two weeks...'
You pulled back from the door, turning the doorknob and slowly pulling it open, peaking into the hall to see the sisters down to the left. The soft padding of your feet hitting the ground caught the attention of the three and before you could call out for them, they disappeared in a swarm of flies.
"Great..." You muttered, making your way to the kitchen and ignoring the nasty looks from the maids. You had grown used to it, most of the time the girls would get them to stop but since they were gone, you were fair game.
Shrugging passed a few maids, you made yourself a sandwich, glancing at your right hand when one of the maids stabbed a knife into the cutting board right next to you. You lazily trailed your gaze up to the maid, internally snarling when you recognized her as the young and gorgeous woman with brown hair and green eyes from when you first arrived — later finding out that her name was Amber. With a click of your tongue, you grabbed your sandwich and leaned towards her, a dark smirk spreading across your face.
"Even if they aren't here, they know what my blood smells like. If you hurt me, they'll know and you'll be the next one drained to make the wine." You whispered, chuckling to yourself as you walked off, cherishing the wide-eyed look of fear on her face.
When you got back to your room, you were shocked to see Bela on your bed. A smile made its way to your face when she didn't leave when you sat next to her, setting your plate on your bedside table.
"You never drank from me," You whispered, turning to face her. "You should do it now."
"Do you really think we only see you as a blood bag?" Her question caught you off guard, but the pain in her eyes made you deeply consider her question.
"Well, technically I'm your pet." You mused, earning a faint smile from her. "But you three have taken care of me, and based off of what your mother said to me once, you three are treating me better than you have any other pet."
"You're not answering her question." Cassandra and Daniela appeared from their swarms that you hadn't even heard surprisingly.
"I guess, now that I think about it... No. I don't think you three see me as just a blood bag or a pet."
After that, they refused to look at you — only further perplexing you. 'Was I wrong?' Your heart started pounding against your rib cage, begging to be let out — especially of this situation. Letting your gaze fall to the floor, you shifted away from Bela, swallowing the lump in your throat.
"But you probably don't see me the way I want you to."
The moment their heads snapped towards you, you realized you hadn't just silently thought that. Your eyes widened before you shook your head, fumbling over your word to try to come up with an excuse as to why you said that. Thankfully your rambling was cut short, although it shocked you as to how it was.
It took a moment for your brain to process what was happening. Daniela had somehow gotten into bed behind you, pulling you flush against her. The other two nuzzled into your neck, planting feather-like kisses on your skin. Your heart continued racing, expecting at least Bela to sink her fangs into you. When that didn't happen, a perplexed look took over you face, causing Daniela to giggle at your reflection in the mirror.
"Hey, dummy," She hummed against the shell of your ear, pressing a gentle kiss to it shortly after. "We like you."
"A lot." Came the muffled voices of her sisters.
The perplexed look soon melted away, your face heating up as a wide smile broke out over your face. Your arms wrapped around Cassandra and Bela, a low and satisfied hum leaving you as you let your head rest on Daniela's shoulder.
"Thank the gods, I was really hoping you'd like me back some day."
"This doesn't change the fact that you're our pet," Cassandra warned, lifting her head to look you in the eyes. "It just has a different meaning now."
