Jane's P.O.V.
Caine and I were still laying in bed the next morning.We were allowed to it was Saturday. Well I was still laying in bed, Caine was still sleeping. He laid on his stomach and his head was gently resting on my shoulder. His arm was lazily draped over my stomach just like every other night since he found out about her. Yes still her. I'm thoroughly convinced I'm having a girl. He constanlty wants to agrue with me about it. He's insisting that its a boy because " it" , oh how i hate when he says it, needs to be the next alpha of the pack. and every time i playfully will rub my tummy and tell our little girl, that daddy doesnt mean it, and that she's going to grow up big and strong and instead of a silly boy leading. She'll be leading it instead.
Caine will laugh and kiss my cheek and tell me " whatever you say darling". this same thing has happened every day, every single day. Sometimes it will go a little differently. But most of the time it goes just like that.
Caine was starting to stir, so I gently started to twirl his hair around my finger. He loves when I do that.
" Ugh, what time is it " He said in that deep husky morning voice that I loved so much. I grabbed my cell off the night stand, and checked it.
8:32am
" It's eight thirty babe" I squeaked out. He looked up at me and flashed me that prize winning smile.
" Well good morning baby, and good morning other baby."
I smile down at him, and I tried to wiggle out from under his arm.
"Where you goin' peaches?"
" I have to go to the bathroom, so if you could let me just squeeze by you real quick, I promise i'll be right back. "
"ok, ok but only on one condition, I get a kiss first , from both of you."
"ok since you insist" I leaned over and gave him a quick kiss and then laid back so he could kiss the baby. and then i was off to the bathroom.
While I was in the bathroom I took the pajamas I was supposed to put on last night for bed and put them on. Since I was still nude from last night with Caine.
My pajamas werent much. We lived down in Georgia. It was always a nice temperature outside anyways. So I tossed on my striped sleep shorts and tied them loosely, then picked up the loose t-shirt and put it on. I walked back out into my bedroom and met Caine again. it felt like everytime I laid eyes on him, I fell in love a little more. Caine was standing in the middle of my room in just his boxers. I leaned on the bathroom door and watched as he put on his clothes. which consisted of striped sleep pants and a white t-shirt.
"Jane! Are you ok in there?! Do yo-"
" Caine.. Darling i'm right here. I'm fine" I couldnt help but laugh at him .
" You worry way to much." I said in between laughs.
Caine looked up at me smied and ran a hand through his hair. He does that a lot when he's emabrassed.
" Come on peaches lets head downstairs and grab some breakfast." Caine outstreatched his hand towards me and I took it happily. At least he wasn't carrying me.
As Caine and I headed down the hallway he swooped me up and carried me down the steps. Once at the bottom he set me down.
"You know you dont have to do that right?"
He smiled down at me. " yes, peaches, I know I dont have to, but I want to."
" Ok as long as you know that." I smiled up at him and grabbed his hand. As we walked through the living room we ran into our group. As always everyone was here. If the group wasnt together,then something was wrong. I basically lived in a house with my 5 best friends. How could you go wrong with that?
" Hey momma, how you doing?" Skyler asked.
I looked around the room a little baffled. Who's momma?
" You Jane,i'm talking to you."
"Me, oh well im fine, thanks!.... but uhm Sky... Can you not call me that? nobody... uh no one else knows yet. So if you guys could just keep it down and our little secret that would be great."
There was a chorus of "yes" and " oh of coures" from everyone. Jen piped up.
"where are you guys going? If you dont mind me asking, I mean." Jen was still a little shy around me. I just figured it was who she was, and she'd come around on her own terms.
"we're just heading into the kitchen you guys are more then welcome to come if you would like."
With that Caine and I continued on into the kitchen, followed by everyone else. the girls took seats at the island and the guys stood opposite of us acoss the island.
" first things first peaches, what do you want for breakfast?"
"hmmm, i think i'll have some cheerios. honey nut please!"
" coming up."
Caine got me my bowl of cereal and I happily munched away listening to the conversation. Soon the whole kitchen smelled like eggs and bacon.
I was just finnishing up my bowl of cheerios before I felt that all to familiar feeling of bile rising up my throat. I jumped out of my chair and ran to the sink. I barely made it.
Ugh. I can't wait for this part to be over. Caine came over to me and held back my hair and rubbed my back as the last of my brekfast made its way down the drain.
"awh Jane! someone didnt like your food choice." Coal piped up. I grabbed a cup and filled it. I garbled some water before I spit it out and answered him.
" Ha, Ha, nice one Coal. NOT, I would like to see you go through this. In fact I challenge all of you boys, when I start gainging weight for you guys to also carry the same weight as me. i'll even go as far as getting you the belly's that strap on to your front, and you can look just like me. " i raised my eyebrows and put my hand on my hip waiting for there answer.
"And if you really wanna keeping pushing me I can talk to the pack doctor and im sure she"ll be happy to help me with this one, but she has a machine that simulates child birth. It tapes right on to your abdomen and you can feel what its like."
Coal looked at me and slanted his eyes.
" Jane did you say it was for all these guys?" Emily asked.
"yes Em. I did" i laughed out.
The guys huddled toegether and whispered. then after a good 10 seconds looked up at me and smirked.
" I Coal on the behalf of John, Jai, Caine and Myself accept your challenge, both parts, and would like to add, whoever complains firs-" Caine jumped in before he could finnish.
"buh buh buh.... Coal i wouldn't do that. i haven't heard her complain once yet. and all she does is puke."
" But come on man! All we have to do is carry around a couple pounds and put on 'painful' stickers no puking, no kicks, no cravings or mood swings. We can do this."
Caine looked at me with weary eyes. " Ok Coal continue"
"as I was saying whoever complains first, has too.... well.... has too uhm.. guys help me out here."
The guys threw their hands up in surrender and left it to Coal. "Well, we can figure that part out later when you lose Jane."
I outsretched my hand and Coal took mine in his and we shook on it.
While i was busy making this bet with coal. Sky, Em, and Jen were placing bets on who would whine first.
Em and Jen, both bet Coal, and Sky bet on John.
" Wow..... our own mates turning on us man" John slapped Coal's back. " its just you and me man''
" Oh you guys, stop being such drama queens." Jen and Sky both said at the same time. They turned and high fived each other.
John and Coal looked at each other and entwined arms and walked dramatically out of the kitchen swiging their hips, in sync. I dont think I have ever laughed so hard in my life.
Caine picked me up and sat me on his lap as he sat and ate his breakfast, even after he watched me throw up mine. That's love right there. Emily and Sky got up and followed their mates out of the kitchen in the same fashion they walked out. Jen and Jai decided to also leave, i think they were gonna go out shopping or something, at least thats what i picked up form their conversation earlier.
Then it was just me and Caine. We just sat in silence for a few minutes before I had to run to the sink again.
Caine like always was super supportive. he held back my hair and rubbed my back and did his best to soothe me. Just as I picked my head up out of the sink, I saw my favorite person in the whole world walk into the kitchen, just kidding. I havent seen her aorund much lately, she was probably off getting pregnant by some stranger. ew gross, one image in my head I wish I could unsee. she came in the back door in shorts and a plaid shirt unbuttoned. she smelled like a french whore, like she had on 10 perfumes.
"what are you looking at?"
Was she talking to me? I know she wasnt talking to me.
"yes i'm talking to you skank."
"Woah woah woah, wait a figgin second. did you just call me a skank? you smell like 6 different guys and a bar. and im the skank. then damn, they must not even have a name to call you." Jeez louise. to think i wasnt even gonna say anything to her this time. if i didn have this little bundle of joy i would have decked her right in the face, again. im so sick of her crap, walking around here like she owns the place.
"I think your forgetting ho your talking to Casey, thats your luna" caine sternly said to her as he wrapped his arm around my waist protectively resting a hand over my abdomen.
" No darling she doesnt have what it takes to be luna. she is just standing in the way of us Caine. i'm your true mate. you'll see one day Jane your messing with the wrong person." is that a threat? did she just htraten me? am i supposd to be afraid of her.
just as she as about to walk by us i had the sudden urge to puke AGAIN. so i did. all over her. she ran so fast out of the kitchen it was like a bat outta hell. Caine immedately started laughing, and i couldnt help but let a little bubble of laughter ecape. the look on her face. her eyes nearly popped out of her head.
as our laughng fit came to an end i decided it would be best if i got cleaned up. i felt a little gross after that.
" hey ,i'm gonna head upstairs and get cleaned up. i'll be down in a little bit."
" ok peaches, do yo want me to come with you?"
" no sweetheart , thank you though. i shouldn't be long, i'm just gonna take a bath and clean up a little, i feel gross."
" ok doll, i'll be in my office when your done."
i pulled away when he wanted a kiss because he doesnt need puke breath kisses. ew. he settled for a kiss on my cheek.
once upstairs i brushed my teeth. i took a nice hot bath with some sea salt and lavender. i couldn't help but stop by my full length mirror and admire my beautiful mark that wrapped itself down my side and back. it was outlined in the same golden color of Caine's eyes and swirled off my hips and neck. it looks like a tattoo that would cost hundreds of dollars and many hours in the chair. as i turned in front of the mirror i couldnt help but be proud of my bump either. i felt like it was bigger then yesturday. but baby is now the size of a small strawberry. ive been doing research like crazy and well.... im sure i know everyting there is to know about having a baby a this point. i'm ready for all the up- all nights, and seeing tough mister alpha gag at poopie diapers, and her first word and her first steps. im excited for her. and i have about 29 more weeks to go.
Before i could finnish admiring my stomach theres a knock on my bathroom door. I quickly toss on my robe and open the door.It's Coal. i looked up a him confused. he rubbed the back of his neck.
" give me one second to get dressed and i'll be right out." he nodded his head and sat in my comfy arm cair over by my window. i quickly closed the bathroom door and got dresed.
i opened the door and Coal was pacing quickly across my room.
"hey Coal whats up? " i asked worriedly. " It isnt Em is it? "
" No, well yeah"
He rubbed the back of his neck again. that must be his nervous thing. i could almost feel it coming off of him in waves.
"Is she ok?" I watched him as he stopped and looked at me.
" well yeah, she's great, never better actually. but i came to ask you, if i could.... uh..." he paused and sat on the chair and rubbed his face. he mumbled out the next sentence.
" iwaswonderingificouldhaveyourblessingtoaskEmilytomarryme"
"i'm sorry Coal can you repeat that. but maybe 10 times slower"
" oh yeah sorry luna,"
" Jane you can call me Jane"
" yes, of course, im sorry im just nervous, but i would like to ask you for your bessing to ask Emily for her hand in marriage"
i just stared at him. He wants to marry Emily!
Before i answered him i did my own little happy dance and i jumped and i squealed. i ran over and hugged Coal.
" Oh Coal im honored you asked me, you have my blessing to ask Emily. Coal you didn't have to ask me! i've only been here for a couple months. you and Emily have been together since you guys were 14!"
"Yeah i know that luna, but shes been talking about you and Caine, you guys are engaged and already starting a family. I think shes ready to start our lives now, and im ready too. your our luna jane. your the whole ' mother' of the pack, we look up to you."
" awh Coal thank you! You have my blessing! but do yourself a favor and rush the whole family thing, i know shes going to want one noe because of me and Caine, but even Caine and i didnt plan this. believe me i would have waited a couple more years for this. but i can't be any ha[[ier that im in my position right now. im in love with the idea of my little one and beig with Caine for the rest of my life. but trust me Coal w have 600 years to live and have a family, even multipple familes if you want, dont rush into it."
" yes of course luna, we've talked about it before, while she's ready for one, a baby i mean, im not ready yet. but thank you jane! i gonna get going now i hva esome things to plan out now"
"goodbye coal! goodluck!"
