"I'm so ready to get off already" I complained to destiny as I walked back over to the desk and she looked me up and down
"You look like you don't feel good"
"I'm just tired. Kinsley felt the need to wake up at one in the morning tryina play and didn't go back to sleep until five"
"She would've been up by herself"
"I tried to go back to sleep but she kept slapping me in the face. Ion know why she act like she wanna be my best friend at night like go bother ya daddy since you love him so much"
"And I bet benji ain even tried to wake up"
I shook my head "you already know"
Destiny laughed and I looked behind me, seeing London walking into the doctors office holding Azaria's hand
"Auntie Kay!" She smiled when she saw me, let go of London's hand and ran over to me giving me a hug
"Hey Azaria!" I hugged her back, smiling "what you found here?"
"She gotta doctors appointment" London answered before sitting her purse in the counter of the desk and destiny checked her in while Azaria kept looking towards the door
"What you looking for?" I asked and London looked over at her, following her eyes toward the door before reaching back in her purse, pulling out an insurance card
"Oh.. her daddy" London blandly said and I rose my eyebrow
"Oh Keyshawn came with y'all?"
"Yeahhhh" she dragged out, giving destiny the card and saw the look on my face before shaking her head "and no. I know what you thinking"
"I'm not thinking nothing"
"Yes you are. I know you Kay"
"London you a grown ass woman. Do what you want.. but just be cautious"
"I am being cautious" she told me as destiny face her the card back and I crossed my arms
"Oh so it is something going on"
"Nooo" London laughed "I do think he want something to go on but I'm good"
"Why you say that?"
"Cause.. he alway around, he be cooking, buying shit and other stuff.. trust me. I know karma"
"He found a job yet?"
"Yeah. Some kind of carpentry job. He making good money to where he got his own shit already. A house and a new car"
"Well that's good. What about his wifey Stasia? She ain came back around yet?"
"He told me she get that annulled while he was locked up and she in a new relationship with a whole baby and bout to have another one"
I saw Keyshawn walk into the doctors office coming straight over to where we were
"Hey" he surprisingly spoke to me
"Hey Keyshawn" I responded back and Azaria grabbed his hand
"Can we go to the waiting room. I wanna see if they got new books"
"I'm coming" London told Keyshawn so he walked off with her, going to the waiting room and once he was out of eyesight I looked back at her again
"Just be careful.. please"
"I will Kay"
"I feel like I gotta be the big sister witcho ass" I told her while picking up the pen off of the desk and started clicking it as London sucked her teeth
"Goodbye! No you don't.. ima talk to you after her appointment"
"Alright"
She grabbed her purse and walked off to the waiting room and I looked at destiny again
"I do act like the big sister"
"I believe you" destiny jokingly replied back "being a mother of 3 did that to you"
"You think so?"
She nodded "Kay.. I watched you change from when you first started and was pregnant with Hendrix, not really knowing nothing and just went with the flow.. to now... I can't even describe you, and it's not a bad thing"
"You sound like benji.. but I guess 3 kids really do that to you forreal"
She laughed a little while looking past me so I looked back and saw some girl walking in and over to the desk. She had a pretty brown skin tone and her hair was up in a messy bun but I could tell her hair was long as hell based on how the loose pieces of her hair fell down her back
"How can I help you?" Destiny asked her
"Uhh..I'm here to see Karma"
As soon as she said my name I instantly looked at her and Destiny looked at me
"Karma... somebody here to see you" she told me, tryina be funny and I stuck my finger up before looking at the girl again, now looking in her face realizing she had to be like 18 or around that age
"Do I know you?"
"Uh.. I-um"
I just looked at her waiting for her to finally say some actual words
"I'm Yasmine. My dad is... Anthony Lakes"
When she said my dad's name I laughed a little while Destiny looked shocked. This must be the daughter London was telling me about
"I don't know if he mentioned me but I-"
"You know what" I cut her off. Apart of me wanted to just tell her to go but at the same time, it's not her fault. Just like me and London, she's just as innocent from our father's infidelities
"Hold on real quick" I told her before walking off, going to the waiting room and saw London sitting beside Keyshawn while Azaria sat on his lap looking at a book and he read it with her
"London" I called her name out and she looked over at me
"It's her turn already?" She asked and I shook my head
"No. I need you for something else"
"I got her if they call her to the back" Keyshawn assured London and she nodded, standing up and came with me Yasmine still stood patiently at the front desk and I motioned for her to follow me as well taking them to the back where the break room was
"Can we even be back here?" London asked while looking around
"Ask me do I care" I responded as we all sat down at the table and I pointed at yasmin "this is Yasmine, our sister"
London looked at Yasmine and Yasmine looked between the both of us
"How did you find her?" London asked me and Yasmine rubbed her lips together
"I.. uh. I found her actually. Though some lady at my dad-our dad's office"
"No no. You said it right. YOUR dad" I corrected her
"I'm sorry" she apologized "I just wanted to meet at least one of y'all. I know he said you might not wanna talk to me, I just had to try because right now I just.. I don't know"
"How old are you?" I randomly asked
"17"
"So you still in school?"
She nodded and I looked at her weird
"Girl it's 10 o'clock. Why you ain in school?"
"They cancelled school today for some kind of thing the teachers had to do"
"Oh okay. I was about to say. I know I'm special but not THAT special to be skipping school and shit"
Yasmine laughed a little, showing her navy blue braces "no. I don't skip school"
"Tuh! When I was in school I always was skipping"
"And that's how Azaria got here" I told her and she stuck her finger up before looking at Yasmine again
"That's all your hair?"
"Yeah" she nodded while swiftly taking her hair out of the bun and her hair dropped, falling down to her mid back
"You got some long ass hair"
"A long mess. That's what it is" she said softly while scratching through it and put it back in a bun "my momma used to be a hair stylist before she died back at the beginning of November and now that I don't have her to help me with it, I just keep it in a ponytail or a bun"
"Your momma just died?" I asked and she nodded
"Yeah. She was sick really bad before she died"
"Oh I'm sorry"
"It's okay" she shook her head "things just happen for a reason. I would've never got to meet y'all. Or even learn that I have sisters"
"So you an only child.. on ya mommas side?"
"No. I gotta 7 year old brother but he moved up to Michigan with his dad" she answered while looking off and I could tell this was painful for her to talk about "I'm just tryina adjust to my new life. Being here by myself"
"Look.." I sighed "I'm not too fond of my dad... but it wouldn't be right if I didn't even take the chance to get to know you. Ima give you my phone number BUT you can NOT give that man my number or tell him anything about me"
Yasmine nodded while taking her phone out and handed it to me so I put my number in it and so did London then afterwards we sat and talked for a while, getting to know Yasmine a little bit before eventually I had to get back to work and London had to get back to Azaria

"So you really gotta 17 year old sister out here in these streets" Meechie laughed while he slapped a card down on the table "draw 4 bitch"
Shy sucked his teeth, picking up his four cards then looked at me
"Yo daddy just passing out kids like peppermints"
I rolled my eyes at his comment "don't yo daddy got 10 kids?"
"Yeah.. 10... a set amount. Yo daddy surprising you with a new sister every year"
"I mean he ain lying" Meechie agreed as bri walked into the kitchen holding Brielle
"Hey auntie's fat momma" I smiled and reached for her, taking her from Bri and sat her on my lap "my niece getting so big"
I sat her down on my lap and she just looked at me, chilling with those beautiful, grey eyes
"When the last time you heard some bout yo other niece?" Meechie asked and I shrugged
"Lani still don't talk to me sooo... but I'm good. It's all good"
I then looked down at Brielle and poked out my bottom lip "I miss when my babies were this size... she giving me baby fever right now"
Once I said that everybody looked at benji who sat beside me with his hoodie on throwing a card out on the table before sitting back and looked down at his cards again like he wasn't even paying us any attention
"Dimitri" I called his name but he didn't respond so I leaned over near him some hearing music. I pulled his hoodie back and saw he had his stupid ass AirPods in and he looked at me while I snatched one out of his ear
"You ain heard what Kay said just now?" Shy asked him and he shook his head
"Nah" he then looked at me "whatchu said?"
"She got baby fever" Meechie answered for me and benji looked at me crazy
"Shittttt. Better take that shit somewhere else"
"Damn" Meechie started laughing
"You don't want another baby?" I asked and he shook his head
"Not right now. Hell no"
"But look at her.. she so cute benji. Remember when the kids were this size"
He grabbed Brielle from me and stood up, going over to shy handing Brielle to him before coming back to sit down
"You ain allowed to touch her nomo"
I sucked my teeth as Ari walked into the kitchen still eating a pack of cup noodles
"What made you eat noodles.. out of a cup?" I asked her and she stopped walking, looked down at the noodles before shrugging and walked again
"Ion know. I just wanted noodles for some reason"
"Draw 4 again bitch" Meechie told shy who shook his head
"Aht aht" he slammed down a draw 4 as well then looked at benji "draw 8 lil bitch"
"Y'all got me fucked up" benji threw down a draw 4 as well and everybody looked at Meechie
"Shy... draw 16 bitch" he slammed down another one before throwing his hands up "and I'm out. Big Meech in the bitch"
"I hope to ass catch some.. permanent too" shy cursed while Meechie childishly got up and started dancing around
"Meechie said bitch" we could all hear jr say clear as day from the living room where he was with the rest of the kids and bri deeply sighed before going into the living room to fuss at him
"Kay you want to niece back?" Shy asked me and I nodded so he got up and handed her to me. As he went to sit back down I started to stand her up on my lap but caught a whiff of her stank diaper and frowned
"Wait no!.. shy"
"You wanted her. Go ahead auntie Kay"
Benji chuckled while looking over at me "still having baby fever?"
"Shut up" I pushed him before getting up to go get her diaper and wipes to change her
