It's the day, finnaly i can get this over with and then win it to rub it all over Katakuro-sensei's smug face. The math competition will be held today and im going to the school that's holding the competition after break time.
A month has passed since the firework show an additional precious memory conserved in a selfie that Kirin took.
I liked it so much it became my phone's wallpaper since then. And the outcome is i tend to look at my phone more just to see that wallpaper.
"Today's the day isn't it?" Kirin asked as we walked to school together, by magic Mr Satoru still hasn't known anything about us. Kirin says he's to busy to even notice.
"Yeah, finnaly.." I rolled my eyes earning a giggle from her. "Do your best Kotarou! You win you get to rub it all over Katakuro's face"
I laughed fron her statement, she knows me so well and that ofcourse makes me happy.
"I'll do my best ofcourse, Just for you" i said still holding hands with her. "What? Why for me?"
"I don't want to disappoint my girlfriend"
She giggled again and sighed "alright alright, do your best Tiger, i already planned to go to the place with the others to watch you together" she added making a smile creep up my face.
"This is gonna on very late, are you sure?, i can just tell you tommorow if i win or not.."
"Ofcourse! And Nah I'd rather watch you win live.."
I laughed at her support and encouragement.
"Fine fine"
Over the course of one month, it seems like my love for Kirin only grew deeper. I found a needy side of myself and the only person that can provide for that needy side of me is Kirin, need for comfort, need for support, need for affection, a need to feel that im not alone, a need to.. Be cared for.
Everytime i have my arms wrapped around her, im always unwilling to let go, the world always makes me. But at the same time im greatfull that the world lets me have her, lets me call her My Girlfriend.

We arrived at school and Kirin ran of with the other girls, its been a habit for this month, every day she would leave me to study. But tommorow this is gonna be over and i couldn't be more relieved.
"Yo Kotar- Ouch! My eyes hurt!" Taka exclaimed taking my attention away from the book.
"What is it? You got dust in your eyes or something?" I asked trying to lace some concern in my tone but it ended up sounding flat anyways.
"Atleast sound like you care! You've been at that book for a month now, today's the day isnt it?"
"Yeah.. I'll be gone today at break to go"
"Finnaly! let's play BB tommorow! And go out later, cuz i know your gonna win this competition" he said and out of no where the other guys came up and gave me cheers.
I just laughed it of until they finnaly left me alone, "No promises i win this" i said to Taka who was rubbing his eyes.
"What's wrong with your eyes anyways?"
"Oh this? My eyes hurt seeing the big numbers on your book"
I internally face palmed myself falling for Taka's antics. And shooed him away to finnaly focus on my-
"Good Morning Everyone!" Kawayuki-Sensei had already arrived and started the school day.
'Oh come on!'
"As you all know~ the school music festival is just right around the corner, tommorow we will be deciding who will represent our class as a band!" She excitedly said before continuing to some other stuff that i din't really care about.
"After the music festival, the field trip is coming!" Exclaimed silently by Kirin, her eyes sparkled at the thought.
I giggled to her direction starring right at her, 'so cute' i thought to myself seeing her this excited.

Sessions passed quickly and now here we are at the cafe having our break time where after this saikawa will take me and the other representatives to the competition.
"Open up Kotarou.." I look away from my book to see Kirin holding a piece of Tamagoyaki in front of me.
I smiled and opened up for her delicious cooking, its so good that i decided its my new favorite.
"Thanks Kirin.."
"Hey don't talk with your mouth full!"
"*sigh* when will i find love like that, i mean look! Twins with twins and this?!" Taka complained with Jin behind him.
"You jealous?" I asked with a smug smile that made him fuming red and bashfull.
"No way!"
But Jin.. Was awfully quiet, Too quiet..

"Good morning Katakuro-Sama, i am here to pick up Kotarou-sama for the competition." Saikawa entered our class room and right after our break time.
"KaSHiMaA, your que" Katakuro called me and i got up ready to win this so i can slam the thropy to his face, im fed up with the guy what else can i say?
"Do your best Kotarou.. I'll be there after school hours" Kirin said and after i gently pat her head, i left the classroom with Saikawa.
We walked in silence as i went through some of the modules but after some time Saikawa broke the quiet.
"Are you nervous Kotarou-Sama?"
"Ha? No, not really.." I bluntly said to him. How can i be nervous? Her encouragement is enough.
"Good to know, my best wishes are with you"
"Thankyou Saikawa"

Kirin's Pov
"Alright Everyone switch your books, we're checking your work" Katakuro-Sensei starred us down watching who switched and who din't.
"Kirin, care to switch with me?" I look up from my book to see Jin offering his to me.
"Sure!" I gave my book to Jin and he first scanned the page "You have pretty Handwriting Kirin, looks and writing.." he said one of his pick up lines and wiggled his eyebrows before turning back to the whiteboard.
I rolled my eyes playfully and we went on with checking our math assignments, Katakuro would write the answer on the whiteboard and we would just put a ☓ or ◎ on the book.
After about 20 questions we finnaly gave our books back, but i see jin had a distant expression on his face when he gave me my book back..
'What was that all about?'
The girl din't notice that what the ash brown haired boy saw was a Tiger doodle of her own work, jealousy burns inside him.

Timeskip.
"Ah finnaly" i breathed a sigh of releif when the announcer said that they would tally the scores and tell us later who will face on againts each other in a 1v1.
Its already night time, we're having our breaks at the moment, and my mind couldn't help but wander to-
"Kotarou!"
I look to my side and immediately smiled at the sight of Kirin and the others.
I pulled Kirin for a hug, to relieve myself. I guess the competition got to me and i was a little frustrated and needed comfort. I din't really care that people were staring at us, why should i?
"Glad you guys can make it" i said to Taka and the twins, but i noticed that Jin wasn't here.
"Where's jin?"
"Oh? He said that Yuna-Nee needed some help so he couldn't go"
"Oh.."
We went to a small ramen place near the school to eat before the finals.
"Can you stop flirting?!"

"Good evening everyone, you all have done well today, it is our honor to have you today but there can only be 2 finalists and 1 winner."
The short silence was intense as all of our ears perked up in anticipation of the announcer continuing. I felt Kirin's hand grip mine tighter and i couldn't help but just feel happy from her support.
"The two will be Kashima Kotarou from Morinomiya academy and Ryouki Akawa from Hironima Academy, for the two contestants please step in the room to commence"
"Woohoo! Go get it Kotarou!"
"Do your best Kotarou!"
"Bring Home the Gold!"

Silence fell on top of the room, math problems solved, but keep coming there were 50 questions to be solved, and that is just crazy considering the few rounds back were just 30.
Various topics, anything between 7th grade and 12th grade math. Atleast this is an actual work out compared to what Katakuro serves us.
I look to my side to see Akawa already done with his, what the heck? He din't really stood out back then at the quarter finals. I sweat dropped at little but focused once again at my own paper.
"Its alright Kotarou, as long as you do your best, you won't disappoint anyone"
I smiled to myself, as i remembered the encouragement that Kirin gave me the past month, simple, short but very encouraging.

After i finished we submitted our papers and waited for about 30 minutes that felt like hours.
The funny thing is, "What's wrong with you guys?" I asked the others who were fidgeting in their place visibly anxious.
Im the one competing and yet they're busy worrying about the winner.
"Everyone!" The announcer appeard and asked for everyones attention.
"After a long while of waiting and tallying we have finnaly found our winner.."
Silence fell on us as the announcer opened a letter and waited before readinh it just for a little anticipation.
"that person will take home the throphy, to show how far he's gone, that person is Kashima Kotarou from Morinomiya academy!"
The crowd bursted and went wild then and there, i couldn't feel my face it was stiff as a mannequins, i was pretty sure that i would lose, but it seems like today proved me wrong.

After we all parted ways i walked Kirin home. "You did it im so happy Kotarou!"
"I couldn't have done it without you.."
She lets out a cute giggle "What? I dint even do anything silly~"
"Releifing my stress and frustrations counts as supporting" i said and leaned closer to her ear. "Being yourself and being mine is also supporting enough"
"Okay, okay~" she pushed my face away and i pouted away, to be honest i expected something.
"Don't i get a reward or something?" I frankly asked as we approached her house, but before i knew it she had jumped and Kissed my cheek leaving me wide eyed, not expecting her to steal it that fast. But i managed to pull her in for a hug before we said goodbye for today.
