"This place is so pretty" Alaina gushed over the beauty of Miami as they had breakfast out on the balcony the next morning.
"I know whatchu bouta say and I swear to God if you say nOt As PrEtTy As YoU imma dump this tea on you" she threatened Wayne and he immediately shut his mouth, guilty of the accusation.
"But you pretty tho" he muttered and she gave him a look.
"Wayne-"
"I'm just saying" he threw his hands up in his air in mock surrender.
"You know I actually wanna go down to the beach" she revealed.
"You really like the beach huh?"
"No. Just the ocean" she corrected him.
"Why?"
"Cause it reminds me of your eyes" she told him and he raised an eyebrow.
All his life, he had heard different girls tell him that his eyes reminded them of the ocean but not once had anyone told him that the ocean reminded them of his eyes.
"Isn't it supposed to be the other way round?" He asked her and she shook her head.
"Nah I know what I said" she answered. "Plus I want you to teach me how to ride"
"Whatchu talmbout? You already know how to ride perfectl-"
"A jet ski, Wayne. A jet ski" she cut him off, giving him a look and he chuckled.

"You gon' have to start off slow. You know, just get a grip. You also gotta put your hips into it" Wayne whispered into Alaina's ear as she slowly drove the jetski and she nudged him with her elbow.
"Stop" she told him and he raised an eyebrow.
"Stop what? You the one who told me to teach you how to ride a jet ski" he reminded her.
"Yeah I know but you don't have to make it sound so.....dirty" she blushed as she said that and he smiled at her.
He found it funny how she got all flushed whenever he said something dirty when she was really a freak when the doors were closed and the lights went off.
"What?" She asked, giving him a weird look when she looked back and saw the huge grin on his face.
"Nothing" he shook his head and cleared his throat.
"You sure?"
"Yeah yeah" he nodded. "Now back to what I was saying"

"That was so fun" Alaina said later, back in their room, as she put her braids in a ponytail. "We should do it again tomorrow"
"Tomorrow's valentine's Day" Wayne reminded her from his position on the bed and she turned to look at him.
"So?"
"Look Lay" he started. "As much as I love you, ion think I wanna spend a whole valentine's day riding jet skis or whatever"
"Well whatchu wanna do then?"
"Iono. I was thinking maybe we'd get some dinner in a fancy ass restaurant or something. Then we could come back here and you know, get dirty a lil bit" he answered, getting up to stand behind her.
"All you wanna do is have sex" she rolled her eyes.
"But we not having sex baby. We making love" he corrected her, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Plus it is technically the day of love"
"Boy get on with that" she chuckled, playfully swatting his hands away.
"I got sum' to tell you" he said, serious all of a sudden.
"What?"
"I wanted to wait until tomorrow but I can't. I just gotta say it"
"Well what is it?" She asked, her interest now piqued.
"I want you to marry me" he revealed and she raised an eyebrow at him.
"What?" She slightly chuckled, still not fully understanding what he had said.
"Look Alaina" he called her by her full name, letting her know he was really serious. "We've been together for a really long time. We've had our ups and downs and you've left a couple times when I started tripping. And I know I ain't perfect and there's always gonna be an issue or two popping up but I wanna try my best for you. I wanna be it for you. I wanna lock you down forever. Let me do that"
"Wayne i-"
"I know you gon' be having your doubts because of shit that's happened between us and that's pretty normal. I know I can't promise you a perfect relationship but I do promise that I won't ever have you out here looking stupid again. I just wanna show you how much I really do love you. I wanna buy you all the diamonds and pearls in the world. I wanna write you all the love letters and poems I can. I wanna wake up next to you every morning. I wanna be the one to make you smile everyday. I wanna just...be there when you need me. I wanna be right next to you. Even if we arguing. Even if I do some dumb shit and you ont wanna talk to me anymore. I just wanna be around you. Ion got a ring now cause I ain't found the perfect one yet but I swear I'm gon' get it as soon as we get back to Cali" he paused but when he saw that she was still surprised, he continued.
"I want it to be us against the world. Shit i wanna have more kids with you. I wanna go to every doctor's appointment with you. Every PTA meeting. Every football game or whatever sport them kids wanna play. Every graduation. I want you to be waiting backstage for me at the end of every one of my concerts. Hell, I want you to join me on the stage even. I wanna share everything I have with you. I wanna give you my whole heart. You got everything. It's all yours" he finished.
"So whatchu say Lay? You in? For life?"
"Do I really wanna deal with all the drama forever?" She asked. "Nah"
"L-" he tried to day but she cut him off.
But do I wanna be with a man who loves me and genuinely makes me happy? Yeah. I do" she answered, smiling at him.
"So is that a yes?"
"Whatchu think dumbass?" She joked and he smiled back at her, leaning in to kiss her.
"I love you baby" she mumbled against his lips.
"Love you more" he reciprocated, reaching down to scoop her up into his arms.
His life was pretty much perfect at this point.
