Chapter 156: Shengsheng, you're jealous
Hearing the movement, the man turned around and the moment his eyes locked on hers, a gentle smile surfaced in his narrow slender eyes.
“Why are you here?” Liu Yusheng blurted out, then reacted and turned towards the boy with a fierce glare.
They were in cahoots! The man was obviously waiting at the door, yet the boy just lied to her that his uncle was busy.
The boy smiled shallowly. He made a face, turned and fled.
What a joke! Would his uncle willingly let him tag along? Rather than lose face from being driven away, it was better to scram sensibly.
At the threshold of the courtyard, Liu Yusheng and Feng Qingbai were the only ones left. One was inside the courtyard gate and the other outside.
Four eyes faced each other and fell into a moment of silence. Feeling the gentleness in the man’s eyes, Liu Yusheng’s heartbeat indisputably jumped even faster.
Her eyes uncontrollably glided over the man’s beautiful thin lips, but saw that his lips were beautifully shaped, moderately thick or thin. They had natural pink tint while his teeth were white.

She never hid her emotions in front of him.
“Are they beautiful?” He teased softly.
Liu Yusheng’s face burned. She quickly averted her eyes in panic, but was unwilling to lose momentum in front of his eyes, so she forced herself to calm down.
“Beautiful!” she blurted.
The man raised his eyebrows slightly and the smile at the corners of his dipped deeper. He started walking towards her.
Feng Qingbai simmered with laughter. He lowered his head two points and rested his forehead against hers, gazing into her eyes.
The corners of her lips rose as she lowered her eyes. “Didn’t you say you were busy? What are you doing here?”
He fell silent for a moment and said, “I missed you.”
The sweetness of the few words almost drowned Liu Yusheng! She was so elated body and mind that even the air smelled sweet!
Feng Qingbai slowly stood up straight and said with a smile, “You should be hungry after sleeping until now. Let me take you to lunch. What do you want to eat?”
Liu Yusheng coughed lightly and feigned nonchalance.
“I heard that you have stayed in Xuzhou for several years, so I think you must be familiar with this place.
Why don’t you introduce me to what’s delicious?”
The boy’s tale about Auntie Zheng and the man staying several years in Xuzhou suddenly popped into her mind, so Liu Yusheng blurted out without thinking.
With a sour taste.
Feng Qingbai raised another brow and said with understanding, “Did that kid tell you something?”
“Thanks to him for telling me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known that Your Highness has a lady-in-waiting with whom you have a close relationship with.
I heard that she’s your savior, and you stayed together in Xuzhou for several years, as childhood friends.”
Liu Yusheng grumbled, “That’s really strange. You were only 12 years old when you left.
Even if you later became the regent, you were 13 years old and there was only one year in between.
How did you spend several years in Xuzhou with your childhood friend?
Could it be that after becoming the regent, you were so unlucky that you got stranded and lived with the masses again?”
The young girl’s tone was overflowing with sourness, but it made the curvature of Feng Qingbai’s mouth deepen. “Shengsheng, you’re jealous.”
