Gulf pov.
How could this be possible?
I haven't spoken to my dad for years and he is now gone. Just like that.
Mew pulled over at our mansion. We climbed out of the car.
I don't want to go in there.
"Babe...I am here. " Mew put his hand around my shoulder kissing my head.
That made my tears fall again.
We walked into the mansion.
There it is. My dad. Placed in an open coffin. Jasmine held on to her brother Jas crying. My stepmother is sobbing. There is no one to hold her. I felt sorry for her for the first time. She may have not liked me but she always loved my dad.
The people who worked at our mansion for a very long stood at the side of the room letting the tears slip now and then. There are almost 12 closer people to our family standing there with sad faces. Mr. and Mrs. Suppasit are two of them.
Mr. Suppasit nodded at mew once we entered the room and gave a look of sympathy. Even Mrs.Suppasit looked kinda sad.
Tears slipped from my eyes soon turned into sobs as I saw my dad. Its looks like he is just sleeping. Mew put a hand around my shoulder bringing a near letting me cry on his shoulder.
Jas and Jasmine walked to us after few minutes. Mew took his hand around me letting Jasmine hug me tightly crying into my chest.
We are not that close. But still looked after each other when needed. We used to close when I lived here. She was a little girl back then. After I moved out there was this unspoken distance between us. She used to try talking to me when I come over for dinner. But I did not get closer to her. I was like that back then. Mad at everyone.
She was close to my dad. Losing your dad a teen's worst. The dad you love most.
There were no words spoken between my sister and me. We just hugged consoling each other. She stood back sniffing when after few minutes.
What I did not expect is a hug from Jess. I hugged him back uncertainly. It was a quick hug. But still...We are not close. We almost hate each other. May be, used to
As the hours passed, It became dawn. People started visiting. My dad's close friends and his family. Few people from the company came too.
Hours passed like minutes.
Everything was happening fastly. The media was waiting outside the mansion ready to take pictures and videos.
Soon...It became noon. We are in the car to the cemetery.
Mew did not speak a lot. But he constantly hugged me, kissing my head. Holding my head. I am grateful for that
"Babe...It's going to be. I am here. Okay?" He squeezed my hand lightly to get my attention.
I turned to look at him and nodding slowly. He gave me a comforting smile taking my hand to kiss it.
Then we reached the cemetery. There are a lot of people in here. Hundreds of people. We made our way to the place where my dad was about to be buried.
My stepmother is sobbing so is my sister. Jess has a hard time holding both of him. So. I went to hold my sister as she once again hugged me tightly and sobbed.
It did not take a long time to bury my father and finish the rituals.

They attached pictures of my mom and dad's wedding. One with me as 5 years kid with mom and dad. The other two are of his current family.
People started leaving. Family members hugged my step-mother then Jass&Jess lastly me. After few minutes there were only us here along with Mr & Mrs.
Another hour passed which felt like a minute. My stepmother's sob decreased to silent tears and Jess stopped crying. She was just there standing with her arm around Jass. I came back to mew once she stopped crying. My stepmother stood there stuck in her place looking at my dad's tombstone as tears fell from her eyes.
Then Mrs.Suppasit walked and gave her a hug which my stepmother returned half-heartedly. Mr. Suppasit walked to Jess&Jass. I did not expect him to hug them. But he did.
He did not look like a person who shows affection through hugs. His face is always expressionless making him look intimidating.
"You can come to me anytime. You are like my kids too " I heard Mr.Suppasuit say. It's my second time hearing his voice.
Jess&Jass nodded. Then stepped back and looked at mew&me before walked towards us. Mrs.Suppasit hugged the kids before following her husband.
Mrs. Suppasit did not give me a nasty look like last she visited our home. But she did not look happy to see me again too. She was just standing there to get over with whatever it is.
"How are you holding up gulf? " Mr.Suppasit asked shocking me. But I quickly recovered from it.
I nodded at his question. Not knowing how to respond.
"Are you taking good care of him?" He asked looking at mew.
"Yes dad " mew replied holding me.
Mr.Suppasit nodded.
"You guys should visit us sometime. " Mr. Suppasit said.
He did not speak more than a single sentence every time.
He is so much like mew. That expressionless face but still able to show affection to loved ones.
Mew did not reply to that.
"We will, Mr. Suppasit " I replied sensing mew had no desire to reply to his dad
"Call me David, son. " David placed his hand on my shoulder giving it a little squeeze.
"I really wish you guys to stay happy." David said feeling guilty.
Well...Thats how you should feel when you force some guy to marry your son.
"Call me up if mew dont behave." He said and pulled his phone from his pocket.
I am really shocked this time. I took the phone from his hand uncertain and dialed my number into it before handing it back to him.
David took the phone and clicked the call bottom making my phone ring in mew pocket.
Mew ignored it. David hung up.
He nodded at me and looked at mew. Mew did not say anything just stood there looking back at dad.
What's with this family?
"We should get going, " David said doing another unexpected thing. He ruffled my hair and patted mew shoulder before looking at his wife indicating her to start walking.
David took a step. Mrs. Suppasit quickly hugged mew for a second like she is worried that mew would push her away then quickly walked away behind David.
I looked towards my stepmother who is still looking at the tombstone like she could believe that her husband is buried under it.
The sun is setting. It will get dark in an hour or two.
I stood there sighing and moving my neck to relax my muscles. Then I felt a hand on my neck. Massaging it a little.
I looked back to mew and pecked his lips. Silently thanking him. He pulled me near slowly and hugged me closer to him rubbing my back.
"Mom! " I quickly turned around to see Jess holding his mom kneeling on the ground as Jas tried to wake her mom.
"Bring some water from the car," I said to mew walking over to them.
We walked my stepmom to the bench that was placed 20 steps away from the place they are standing.
Mew bought the water bottle and handed it to Jas.
Jas sat beside her mom making her drink some water.
I walked two steps and sat on another bench. Feeling tired.
"Gulf " I heard Jess's voice sitting beside me. I looked up to see mew talking into his phone a few steps away.
"Mm." I hummed with my eyes at mew.
"You guys are really in love. " Jess said not very surprised.
"I think so " I replied looking at the ground.
"Dad was not feeling well for a week. But he insisted that he was fine. " he started.
"He went unconscious during dinner at the table. We took him to the hospital. He was kept there until 1 clock without telling us about his condition" he sighed rubbing his face.
"We don't know what's happening to him. Then the doctor came out to tell that he had a cardiac arrest. He is not copping up with whatever they are trying. They said it was severe. They went back into the room telling us that they are gonna try their best." Jess continued.
"I really did not expect them to say that he lost dad. They could not save him " Jess said his voice shaking.
We stayed silent for few minutes after that.
"You should take them home," I said and he nodded.
"Please visit us, gulf. Jas miss you. Dad always missed you even though he did say it out. " jess said standing up.
Tears started forming behind my eyes at the mention of my dad. I swallowed nodding him
He tapped my thigh and stood up to walk over to the next bench. Soon they walked out of there, not before Jas hugging me.
"Babe...Shall we leave?" Mew asked once those 3 people left by holding his hand out for me.
I took his following him out of there without looking back.
We were soon home.
I walked straight to the bathroom and showered before putting on some clothes before laying on the bed.
It did not take long for my curl up and let out the tears that have been forming in my eyes. Then I felt mew laying behind me.
I turned around curling up into mew as he held me.
I cried for a long time until I fell asleep then woke yo by mew to eat some food then went to sleep with mew hugging me again.
That's how it went for the next 3 days with my friends Nick& laya visiting him every day after classes.
Mew stayed with him almost every minute.
Then he got a call from his stepmother.
