Chapter 143: Uncle's little secret

Da Huang felt bitter, but he forced a smile. “Yes, Master, have a lot of fun!”

In the past, his young master personally pitched into the work during the convention, and he got a long list of orders back every time. Although he worked on the sidelines, he had never actually done it alone, and he panicked.

But he dared not voice it out.

His young master’s fighting spirit had soared aloft and he looked geared up for battle. Could he stop him?

“Lucky Nannan, shall we walk around this area first? We might come across some excellent herbs.” Qian Wanjin began to make arrangements. “After turning around this area, to the back is a snack street. Let’s go have breakfast and come back. By then the venue should have all the goods on display.”

“Okay,” Liu Yusheng nodded. Because she went out too early and didn’t eat, she was indeed a little hungry.

Then she asked the boy in passing, “Have you eaten?”

“No!” The boy answered pretty quickly, as if he has been waiting for her to ask the question.

“Then shall we go eat something together?” she hesitated when she asked this, unconsciously looking at the man, “But the food in the snack street may not be as exquisite and delicious as the food at grand restaurants…”

What she meant to say was, could the King and His Majesty stand the street stalls?

She couldn’t imagine what it would be like for these two people to sit there and munch on a piece of food like normal people in such a noisy environment.

The man’s eyes gently brushed over her face, and a shallow smile floated on his lips. “It’s not a problem, I also ate there when I was a kid…”

“Yo, I can’t tell you came from bad money when you’re garbed in this outfit. Do you still go to street food stalls?” Qian Wanjin looked him up and down.

“I also thought you would go to a glorious luxury restaurant.” The man’s eyes swept over Qian Wanjin’s body. His taste hasn’t changed since he was a child. All his clothes still have to be embroidered with a ball of gold thread.

Qian Wanjin: “…” Good fellow, is this a preparation for a war of words?

“You…” Qian Wanjin rolled his sleeves ready for it, but from behind him came an enthusiastic laughter. “Isn’t this Young Boss, Qian Wanjin? You’ve finally come. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!”

While talking, someone even tugged him by the arm.

Looking at the visitor, Qian Wanjin was slightly shocked, “Chairman He, why are you here instead of watching from behind?”

He was the chairman of the Xuzhou Chamber of Commerce, but a man in his position was usually behind the curtains. So, why did he rush to the court himself?

“Ya, isn’t it for you?! Come, come, come with me, Elder Jiang wants to see you. We’ve been waiting for you for a long time!” The man said as he dragged Qian Wanjin away.

“Elder Jiang? Who? Is it perhaps the Chamber of Commerce’s big shot Jiang…” Qian Wanjin’s voice soared with excitement. That man was a business tycoon whom he had always admired. He also heard that anyone he liked would end up with great potential.

Ordinary businessmen thought it was their fortune to meet him.

Unfortunately, he has since gone into seclusion and lived a quiet life, and few people could invite him out again.

“Hush, this matter shouldn’t be publicized. We’ll talk about it later, just come with me.”

“But I still have things to do here… ” Qian Wanjin hesitated. Lucky Nannan was still here. If he left, what was she going to do? On the one hand, his idol that he has always wanted to see was here, and on the other hand, there was Lucky Nannan. How could he rush here and make him choose at this time?!

Seeing his embarrassment, Liu Yusheng laughed, “Go ahead, I have Aunt Hong with me. Besides, I’m not a kid anymore, I can’t get lost.”

Qian Wanjin gritted his teeth and said, “Then, I’ll go over there. Just hang out here and eat something. Don’t run around. Stay close to Auntie Hong! Auntie Hong, keep an eye on Lucky Nannan. It’s crowded here. Don’t let her get squeezed…”

Someone dragged him away before he could finish speaking.

Qian Wanjin was so angry that he turned black in the face. Damn it! He wasn’t done talking yet. There was still themost important thing he hadn’t said! The most important thing was to stay away from that uncle-nephew pair! Farther away!

Liu Yusheng watched as they dragged Qian Wanjin away unwillingly, and she withdrew her gaze and inadvertently met the man’s gaze on her face, which seemed deep and shallow, seemingly smiling.

Thinking he was laughing at her for being protected like a child at such an old age, Liu Yusheng felt a bit embarrassed. “Sorry about that.”

“Do you want to buy herbs?” he changed the subject to ease her embarrassment.

“No, I’ll just take a look around, and if there’s something I want, I’ll buy it.”

“Let’s go for a walk.”

“Okay.”

After Qian Wanjin left, the atmosphere turned a bit odd.

An extra sense of weirdness always lingered around.

The boy who resembled a trumpet earlier was also much quieter, and more often than not walked quietly beside them.

As for Wei Hong, she was almost invisible.

This made Liu Yusheng feel like she was walking alone with Feng Qingbai.

Then a very strange picture popped in her head; a man and a woman meeting for the first time on a blind date; they went shopping together, both unable to say a word…

After some time, more people arrived in the venue and the path became more crowded. If not careful, they could accidentally bump others.

Feng Qingbai walked unobtrusively behind the girl, shielding her from potential collisions on both sides.

On the other side, Wei Hong automatically and spontaneously protected the other side.

The young woman was distracted and frowning. It was a wonder what was on her mind that she became unaware of the changes around her.

The boy fell behind with his eyes bright.

He had indeed discovered his uncle’s little secret!

Tsk, he was pretending to be aloof, and he didn’t talk to someone, but his eyes were stuck to her face and couldn’t tear them off.

If he had a mirror, he would have taken it to his uncle so he could take a look at how his eyes looked!

“A penny for your thought?” after two laps of the same place, the man finally asked.

“I’m thinking about going on a blind date…” Liu Yusheng blurted her answer smoothly, and when she realized her gaffe, she shut her mouth quickly. However, it was too late, and her face flushed pink.

It would have been better finishing the whole line. Saying half of it was even more misleading!

“Blind date?” the man asked softly, and his long, slender eyes narrowed for a moment.

She didn’t know if it was her illusion, but it was as if the air around him had gone two degrees colder.

“No, no, I didn’t mean that. I was just thinking of the picture of someone else’s blind date, not that I want to go on a blind date… ” Liu Yusheng stopped anxiously, and turned around to explain.

Without warning, a cold force stumbled behind her, and she fell straight into the man’s arms.

It was hard, broad, and with a strong masculinity.

This scent almost enveloped her entire body.

Everything around her seemed to stand still.

She forgot to straighten up, and he didn’t push her away.

“Sorry, I’m sorry…” someone whispered an apology in her ear.

It was only then that Liu Yusheng backed away as if scalded, her heart pounding hard!

The way he gazed at her just now was exactly the same as Axiu.

Deep and gentle, that was why she lost her mind.

Why did he always give her this feeling?!

“If there’s nothing you’d like to see, why don’t we go have something to eat first?” the man’s voice was calm and completely unruffled as if nothing had happened halfway through.

“Okay,” Liu Yusheng bowed her head and responded. Her heart was a mess.

“What do you want to eat?” he asked again.

He didn’t block the collision for her just now; he did it on purpose.

She said blind date and his emotions went haywire.
