*** I don't know if y'all remember from Book 2, when Aug tells Amb women don't fight when her and Onika were about to get into it. Well I was looking at a video from his FMU performance, some girl was in the front trying to fight and He said that. Crazy.****
AUGUST POV-
"Hey babe." Amb kissed me as I walked into the kitchen taking off my dress shirt.
Suddenly I heard an army of feet descend down the stairs. This only happens when they want something.
"Daddyyyyyy!!!!!!!" Sata ran up to me giving me a tight hug.
"Pop-pop!" A3 ran up to me and gave me an equally hug.
"Uncle Aug!" O ran up to give me a hug.
They were all latched on to all sides of my body, grabbing tightly.
"Aight y'all let me breathe."
They all removed themselves and stood suspeciously in front of me, with plastered fake smiles and pleasantly folded hands.
"Y'all not slick. What y'all want?" I folded my arms, leaning against the counter, looking down at them knowing they had ulterior motives.
"Nothing we just wanted to tell you, you're the best daddy in the whole world." Sata gestured her hands showing how great I was.
(Auggie's words are purposely misspelled to mimic that of a child---for the grammar nazis that be in the comments."
"I thought we want uh lizer." Auggie looked at Sata confused.
"August!!!!!!" Sata and O scolded him.
"Sorry." He covered his mouth. "We no want a lizer pop-pop."
"Auggie don't lie for them." I picked him up and kissed his cheek. "You want a lizard?"
He shook his head yes, excited.
"What happened to regular pets like dogs, cats, birds?"
"No we want uh lizer Pop-Pop." A3 looked at me with innocent eyes.
"Lizards are easy to care for Uncle Aug. You don't have to walk them, clean up after them too much. And they only need to be fed once or twice a week." O advocated for the Lizard as the house pet.
"Auggie has allergies." I told them.
"Then that's perfect. Lizards are what Auggie?" O looked at him.
"Hippo-nic."
"He means hypo-allergenic. They don't have fur so you don't have to worry about allergies." O clarified.
"And they don't take up a lot of space." Sata made sure I knew.
"Y'all told mommy this?" I looked at Amb, who was focused on cooking.
"Mm-hmm." A3 shook his head.
"What she say?"
"Ask you." Sata and O said in unison.
"I don't know if I want a pet that looks like Sata in my house. She one lizard too many."
Auggie giggled wildly.
"And you and daddy look like a preying mantis. hmf." She folded her arms mad that I treated her. 😂
"I love you though babygirl. Lizard and all." I brought her in close to me laughing.
She got out of my embrace upset.
"You don't look like a lizard Sata. You look like a beautiful dove." O told her.
"Really Octavian?"
"Hey. Knock off the corny." I playfully pushed O away from Sata.
We were interrupted by the doorbell.
"Hold on y'all." I put Auggie down.
I went to get the door and my brother Travis had damn near a whole apartment full of luggage on my doorstep.
"Lil Bro!!!! What it do mayne?" He gave me a bear hug.
"Forget what it do? Nigga what is all this stuff?"
"Stac kick me out, so I'mma crash with y'all for a minute." He invited his self into my house with a handful of luggage.
"Uncle booooooooobie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sata ran to Trav and jumped in his arms, making him knock the bags on the ground.
"Booty-doo what's up Mama!" He kissed her as she hung around his neck. "You remember those moves Unc showed you?"
"Uh-huh." She jumped down and her and trav started twerking. I grabbed her by her collar, pulling her up. "Go to your room."
"I didn't do anything."
"You heard what I said." I pointed up the stairs.
She huffed crying all the way up the stairs.
"Uncle Boo-E!" Auggie ran up to Trav.
"Man you getting bigger everyday. How old are you now?"
"this many." Auggie held up three fingers.
"As handsome as you are, I got to be your real daddy. Cause this nigga plain ugly."
Auggie laughed.
"Aug who was that?" Amb peeked her head out the kitchen coming out.
"mm-mm-mm. the older you get, the better you look. That can't be my sister in law."
"Travis you sound like a creep." Amb laughed and hugged him.
"Trav this is Octavian. He's our godson/nephew. O this is Uncle Aug's brother." Amb introduced him to O.
"Nice to meet you godson/nephew." He shook O's hand.
"He got a firm grip. Bout to rip my arm out its socket." He rubbed his arm as though it hurted.
"I apologize."
"Ignore him O. He's silly." Amb said laughing.
"Nah, I'm joking with ya man. You see this muscle. You can't hurt me." He told O showing him his muscle.
"This is how a man is built. Not like this spaghetti strap nigga." He patted Me on the back.
"Don't touch me." I removed his hand.
"How did you get here Trav?" Amb asked him.
"Drove."
"All the way from L.A.?"
"Yup."
"Where's Stacy?"
"In L.A. She kicked me out."
"Oh my God. What did you do?" amb asked.
"Why the man always got to do something?"
Me and Amb gave him a look like come on tell the truth.
"I told her I didn't want to marry her."
"You what!?" Me and amb screamed to the top of our lungs.
"So who gon help Unc with his bags? One for you. One for you. One for you." He handed out bags to everybody like they were presents, including me.
This was going to be a mess I could feel it. Is it too late to take the lizard?
