There they were, at the starting line to achieve their dream. Walking to the place where they will become heroes. UA High. The three boys were walking to class, each one lost in his thoughts.
Izuku was thinking about how amazing it will be to learn in the best hero course in the country. Katsuki, on the other hand, was preparing to crush the "extras" from his class. Finally, Minato, who was almost sleepwalking at this point, was daydreaming about his bed.
As they reached the class, Katsuki opened the door and they entered. Upon entering, they saw the rest of their class. Everyone had their eyes glued to the three boys. Most of them studying the boys minutiously, while a few were recognizing them. The boys then went to the three remaining free desks. Katsuki immediately got comfortable, putting his feet on top of the desk, much to the dislike of a bespectacled blue-haired student who decided to lecture him to not do that, causing the two to start arguing. After sitting, Izuku was approached by the same girl he saved the day of the exam, congratulating him on being accepted into UA and introducing herself, making Izuku become quite flustered. Minato, being exhausted, sat slowly in his chair, turned to his desk and let his head fall down, slamming into the desk, catching everyone's attention as most of the students got worried, with one poking him, thinking he was dead. Seeing the worry of their classmates, Katsuki then adressed the rest of the class.
Katsuki:"Don't waste your time with him! He's fine. The bastard is built like a friggin tank."
Izuku:"I wouldn't quite put it like that. But, it is true that Minato-kun is pretty tough. (Thinking back) Now, that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen him injured. (Snapping out of it) Anyway, he's just tired."
Katsuki:"The moron didn't sleep at all last night, being all giddy."
After listening to them, a black-haired girl, wearing her hair in a ponytail of sorts, approached Minato and shook him lightly, waking him up.
Girl:"Excuse me."
Minato:"(Waking) Huh... what's going on."
Girl:"I was told you were lacking sleep, so I can use my quirk to make you some coffee, if you want? Black?"
Minato:"(Drowsy) That would be great, thanks."
The girl then pulls up her clothes, exposing the lower half of her torso, putting her hand in front of it, and from it comes a mug filled with coffee. Minato, although still a bit drowsy, watches, amazed, as the girl pulls a mug of coffee from, seemingly, within her body.
Minato:"What the- How?"
Girl:"My quirk allows me to make anything from my body, as long as I know the materials and composition of it. (Hands over the mug) Here you go, the coffee I make with my quirk is usually a bit sweet, so I'm sorry if it's not to your taste."
Minato then takes the cup and tastes the coffee. As soon as he does, stars appear in his eyes and he drinks the coffee as fast as he possibly can. Afterwards, he gets up, facing the girl, and grabs her hands, looking at her with a semi-serious, semi-cheerful face.
Minato:"That was the best coffee I've ever had! Will you marry me?"
As soon as she heard those words, the girl became red as a tomato, smoke coming from her head, as the rest of the class was dumbfounded at what just happened. Izuku and Katsuki whisper to each other, trying to understand what was happening.
Katsuki:"The moron isn't talking for real, right?"
Izuku:"He does have a kinda serious look on his face, though..."
While his friends were trying to make heads and tails of it, the girl regained her composure as much as she could and spoke to Minato.
Girl:"We shouldn't marry just because of that, but if you liked my coffee so much I don't mind making you one everyday. But please, no more talk of marriage out of the blue, okay?"
Minato:"(Calmed down) Fine by me. I'm Minato Amamiya."
Momo:"(Smiling) Momo Yaoyorozu, I hope we get along."
Minato:"Likewise."
After their exchange, Momo went to her seat, still a bit flushed, while Minato started talking with his friends. Izuku then introduced him to Ochako Uraraka and Tenya Iida.
Iida:"I'm Tenya Iida, it's a pleasure to meet you! I've heard that you were the top scorer on the entrance exam."
Katsuki got annoyed after hearing that. He was still pissed that Minato had surpassed his score of 88 with a score of 129.
Uraraka:"And I'm Ochako Uraraka. Nice to meet you."
Minato:"Minato Amamiya. It's nice to meet you both."
Iida:"We were just talking about how Midoriya-kun realized that the exam was using the gimmick robot to evaluate our ability to rescue others."
Minato becomes a bit confused at this, before looking at Izuku's expression and connecting the dots.
Izuku:"(Nervous) Actually..."
Minato:"He didn't realize it. He just rescued her because she was in danger and he couldn't just stand there."
Iida:"(Surprised) I-I see. So you just did what you felt was right. Like a true hero would! I have much to learn from you, Midoriya-kun!"
Uraraka:"(Cheerful) Anyway, I wonder when will the entrance ceremony start!? What will our homeroom teacher be like!?"
"If you're here to be buddies, then go somewhere else."
The entire class hears a raspy voice utter those words and looks towards the teacher's spot, to see a man lying down, inside a sleeping bag, looking like a caterpillar.
"This here is the hero course, got that?"
Everyone(thought):"Who the hell is this!?"
The man gets out of his sleeping bag, revealing himself as a medium-tall, long black-haired man, in black clothes with a strange, bandage-looking scarf around his neck and atop his shoulders. He also looked to be quite tired. After getting up, the man addresses the class.
Aizawa:"It took you all 8 seconds to quiet down. Time is precious, you know. You should have a bit more common sense. I'm your homeroom teacher, Shouta Aizawa. Pleasure to meet you."
Everyone(thought):"Homeroom teacher!?"
Aizawa then pulls out a blue uniform from his sleeping bag and points it to the class.
Aizawa:"Put these on and go to the school grounds."
Everyone went to change clothes and met with Aizawa on the school grounds. After everyone was there, he started talking about what they would do.
Aizawa:"Today, we're going to perform a quirk apprehension test."
Izuku:"(Nervous) A quirk apprehension test!?"
Uraraka:"What about the entrance ceremony!?"
Aizawa:"If you want to be heroes, then there's no time for that stuff. UA is known for trying to give the most freedom possible on your education. That goes for teachers as well. Softball throwing, standing long jump, 50-meter dash, endurance running, grip strength, side-to-side stepping, upper-body training and seated toe touch. I assume you all did these back in middle school, right? The usual, no quirks allowed, P.E. tests. Amamiya, how far could you throw back in middle school."
Minato:"Around 300 meters."
Hearing this, Aizawa found it strange, but accepted the answer.
Aizawa:"I see. Now try throwing with your quirk. You can go about it as you want, just don't leave the circle. Give it all you've got."
Minato:"Fine."
Minato throws the ball, at full strength, sending the ball flying high. As the ball touched the ground, Mr.Aizawa started talking again.
Aizawa:"It's important for you to know your limits. (Shows a score to the class marking 813m) That's the first step to figuring out the kind of hero each one of you will be."
Everyone in the class starts to become excited, talking about how awesome will be to use their quirks, until Aizawa interrupts them.
Aizawa:"You're hoping to become heroes after three years in this place and you think it'll just be fun and games? The one who has the lowest score after all eight events... will be expelled. (Getting his hair out of his face and smiling) Your lives are in our hands! Welcome to UA High's hero course!"
The class immediately starts showing mixed reactions. Most of the students were scared and nervous, while a little few were excited from the challenge. Izuku was worried because of his quirk's cost on his body. Minato and Katsuki, however, were already getting ready to take the top score for themselves.
Aizawa:"Natural disasters, rampaging villains. Calamity is always around the corner. The world is full of unfair things. The ones who correct that unfairness... are heroes. If you were hoping to spend your free time hanging out, then I'm sorry to tell you that, for the next 3 years, UA will put you through the wringer. (Smiling) That's Plus Ultra. You'll have to use your strength to overcome it, so bring it. The demonstration's over. Now it's for real."

Event 1: 50-meter Dash
Aizawa:"3.04 seconds!"
Aizawa announces as Iida lets the engines in his legs cooldown. Then the frog girl, Tsuyu Asui, finishes her run at 5.58 seconds. Uraraka then prepares, by using her "Zero Gravity" quirk to "erase" the weight of her clothing. She then starts her run, finishing at 7.15. Then, it's Izuku's and Katsuki's turn. They started their run, with Katsuki finishing at 4.13, and Izuku at 7.02, much to the worry of the both boys. Afterwards, it's Minato's turn. Getting in position, kneeling on his left knee, with his hands touching the ground on both sides. As the signal to start was heard, Minato lunged forwards at full speed, finishing at 2.07, surprising everyone, except his friends.
Iida:"That was impressive! Even I can't match that speed!"
Uraraka:"(To Izuku) But how can he be that fast?"
As Izuku was about to answer, Minato interrupts.
Minato:"Because it isn't about speed. If I had ran, I wouldn't have been able to beat Iida's score, however, the way I lunge is similar to jumping, turning it into a matter of strength, not speed."
The smartest ones in class understood the explanation, while the rest wondered what he meant. Aizawa then explains that jumping focuses in leg strength, which determines how far and how fast one goes. Then came the second event, grip strength, where Izuku scored among the lowest again, at 56kg. Minato, as expected, was among the top three, taking the second place, with a score of 146kg. Then came the third and fourth events. With Izuku still getting low scores, while Minato and Katsuki were among the highest. Then came the fifth event, softball throwing. Uraraka had finished her turn, getting the highest score, thanks to her quirk, being followed by Minato and Katsuki. Meanwhile, Izuku was terrified of being expelled, until he was slapped in the back by his two friends.
Minato:"You have to calm down, Izuku. You can control it. You just need to keep your head cold."
Katsuki:"Yeah, you damn Deku! Freaking out like that will get you nowhere!"
Hearing this, Izuku calms down and fills himself with determination. As he walked, Aizawa called him.
Aizawa:"Midoriya, I'll warn you just once. You should have never passed the entrance exam. I saw it during the exam. You can't control your quirk, so you were prepared to incapacitate yourself in order to get a good score, hoping that someone would come to help you after."
Izuku:"N-no, it's not like that!"
Aizawa then uses the scarf to grab Izuku, pulling him closer.
Aizawa:"Whatever you were planning, you would have just became a burden to those around you. You become completely useless after saving just one person. You won't become a hero with that quirk of yours, Midoriya."
Suddenly, a hand grabs Aizawa's scarf tightly. He looks to the side, seeing the owner of said hand.
Minato:"(Menacingly) If you've finished, Sensei, then I suggest you let Izuku go and have his turn."
Aizawa then conceded and let go of Izuku. Minato then released the scarf and got close to Izuku.
Minato:"You got this. Remember of everything the three of us went through to get here, take a deep breath and show him what you're capable of."
Izuku:"Yeah. Thanks."
Minato nodded with a smile. Izuku, then, moved into the circle. He took a deep breath and throwed, focusing his quirk on his finger and launching the ball with massive force. When the ball hit the ground, the score showed 705.3m. Izuku stood in the circle, holding his right hand with it's index finger broken, smiling. He then comes closer to his teacher and his friend.
Izuku:"See, I did it!"
Minato:"I told you that you could do it. See, Eraser, you underestimated him."
Izuku:"Eraser? You mean... Eraserhead!?"
The rest got surprised after hearing this, as Minato explained about how he recognized him due to his trademark goggles, that he showed when he grabbed Izuku. Izuku started fanboying after hearing this while Katsuki couldn't believe that he had been surpassed by him. Meanwhile, Aizawa speaks to Minato
Aizawa:"By the way, Amamiya, there's something I want to ask you. I have seen your performance in the exam and read your file, but it didn't add up. How exactly does your quirk work?"
Minato:"It's a mutation-type quirk, that permanently altered my body, giving me an enhanced physical capacity and durability, as well as an enhanced physical recovery."
Aizawa:"I see. I have been wondering how you were able to run around, breaking robots with such ease, as well as being able to cause that much damage to the gimmick robot as well, at the exam."
Most of the class couldn't believe what they were hearing, but the few classmates that were there that day explained everything. Afterwards, the events kept going, until they were all finished.
Aizawa:"Moving on to the results, I won't bother giving the final scores, so here is the final ranking. Also, I was lying about expelling someone."
Most of the class was dumbfounded, looking in disbelief at Aizawa, as he grinned.
Aizawa:"It was a rational deception, meant to bring out the best in all of you."
Aizawa then delivered the ranking paper and told Izuku to go see Recovery Girl afterwards, before walking away. As everyone looked at the ranking, it showed Minato in the first place, with Katsuki and Iida at the top 5, Uraraka at eleventh and Izuku at very last.
After school ended, Minato, Izuku and Katsuki were walking to the entrance, when they meet Iida.
Iida:"How is your finger, Midoriya-kun?
Izuku:"I'm better now, but I'm really exhausted."
Iida:"Still, Aizawa-sensei really fooled us. He showed us how hard it is to become a hero but... for our instructor to deceive us like that..."
Minato:"If you ask me, it's better this way. Closer to the real thing."
As the boys reach the school gates, someone calls them from behind.
Uraraka:"Are you guys headed for the station? Wait up!
Izuku:"Ah, Uraraka-san!"
Iida:"Nice to see you, Uraraka-kun!"
Minato:"Hey."
The five kept walking to the train station. During the walk to the station, Uraraka started talking to Izuku.
Uraraka:"By the way, during the test Bakugo called you Deku, right?"
Bakugo:"So what?"
Izuku:"My real name is Izuku... calling me "Deku" is just Ka-chan being a bully."
Iida:"I see. So it's a derrogatory nickname."
Uraraka:"Oh, gotcha! I'm sorry. It's just "Deku" kinda screams "Do your best!". I like it."
Izuku:"(Blushing) Deku's fine!"
Iida:"Midoriya!"
Minato:"Don't worry, Iida. Though, (looks smugly at Katsuki) it seems you won't annoy him anymore with that nickname."
Katsuki:"Who cares!"
After facing their first trial, this small group of friends is now a little bigger, while they prepare themselves for what will be coming next on their path to becoming heroes.
