Chapter 23: A Normal Apple Pie Life
(Ava was taken by a Djinn and it took her to a dream world. )
Ava: *heard alarms and rolls over in bed and gets hit by pillow* ow!
???: wake up sleepy head time for school
Ava: *alarmed* bloody murder!
???: *confused* why are you saying bloody murder? There's no danger
Ava: yeah you're danger, dad, Uncle Sam! Bloody Murder! Bloody Murder!
The girl covered her ears and the boys ran in the room with fake weapons in their hand.
Sam: what's the problem?
Dean: I heard the code word
Ava: oh thank goodness it's you guys *hugs her dad* this girl just appeared in my room *looks around* that doesn't look like my room anymore. Where the hell am I? What happened to the bunker
Sam/Dean: *confused* bunker?
Sam: kiddo this isn't a random girl. This is your cousin Caroline. Are you okay?
Ava: cousin?! *to Sam* Since when did you get a kid?
Caroline: Uncle Dean, I think your daughter hit her head to hard
Dean: *feels her forehead* are you feeling okay sweetie?
Ava: *brush hand away* I'm fine dad. If she's my "cousin" then who's her mom?
???: what's going on here? I heard someone yell bloody murder
Caroline: that was-
Ava: wait a minute. *goes up to her* I recognized you. I heard stories about you from Uncle Sam. Jessica right?
Jessica: very good darling? Did you hit your head or something?
Ava: this is impossible. You're supposed to be dead. Castiel!
Caroline: whose Castiel?
Ava: an angel, he's the guy that rescued my dad from hell
Dean: angel? Hell? Yeah Ava I think you hit your head too hard sweetie
Ava: you have to understand, I'm not your Ava. I must be another Ava, this can't be real
???: Ava?
Ava: *looks* what is going on here? Where am I?
???: I heard you were in danger and came to find you *snaps fingers to pause the others around her* you're trapped by a djinn
Ava: *gets flashback of being attacked by a djinn* I'm so stupid, why did I leave the bunker. How do I get out of this?
???: play her roll, tell everyone everything is okay, and that you're fine. I will let Sam and Dean know your location
Ava: my dad and Uncle don't trust you
???: how many times do I have to tell them I'm nothing like my brothers, that I'm really just here to look after you
Ava: doesn't matter what you say, you're still Lucifer, Michael and Gabrielle, younger sister who claimed that I'm your vessel. Do you know how many times they have been screwed over by them
???: I understand what my brothers put them through. But you have to trust me
Ava: I'll trust you, if you get me out of here!
Suddenly the angel disappeared and
Ava: freaking angels, dad's right angels should not be trusted
Dean: excuse me?
Ava: uh... not you. Im fine, guys. I didn't hit my head. I was just out of it that's all
Dean: okay... well get ready for school girls *kiss forehead*
The adults left and Caroline was getting ready for school. Ava looks around the room and noticed a picture above her bed of her, her mom and dad.
Ava: where's my mom? I need to see her
Caroline: *confuse* I thought you didn't want to see her
Ava: what do you mean?
Caroline: you said she contacted asking to meet and you didn't want to tell your dad
Ava: why?
Caroline: because your dad forbid you from seeing your mom
Ava: why would he do that?
Caroline: cause she burned the house down, did you forget? That's the whole reason why you live with us
Ava: uh... short term memory loss that's all
Caroline: you're not my Ava are you
Ava: I guess not, why?
Caroline: you barely spoke to me about your mom, you keep that part of your life private. Now you're being opened about her
Ava: in my universe, my mom's dead
Caroline: *sits on the bed next to her* well your mom pretty much alive here. Just not how you think
Ava: what do you mean?
Caroline: she does drugs Ava
Ava: why would she get herself involved in that. She always told me that drug was bad
Caroline: I don't know. But I noticed that you were going to try to look for her yourself. I saw you googling about her
Ava: oh
Caroline: you don't remember any of it?
Ava: not a clue sorry
Caroline: well whatever you need to know, I'm here to tell you
Ava: thanks Caroline
They headed downstairs together after they got ready for school and Jessica said.
Jessica: hey girls, you want breakfast?
Caroline: sure mom
Dean: Ava did you take your pills baby girl, you're shaking
Ava: pills?
Caroline: *whispers* you have ADHD
Ava: oh... no I didn't
Dean: better take some
Ava: *whispers to Caroline* where are they?
Caroline goes to the bin and takes it out of the basket and hands it to Ava.
Ava: thanks
Adam: *comes in* hey family
Sam/Dean/Caroline: hey Adam/Uncle Adam
Ava: *whispers* my Adam is trapped in the cage with Michael
Caroline: wow your life is so complicated
Jessica: what was that hun?
Caroline: nothing
Adam: hey kid, don't I get a hello?
Ava: uh-hi Uncle Adam
Adam: *wraps arm around her* how you doing today?
Ava: a bit better
Adam: good *kiss forehead* Uncle Adam loves you, keep your head up *let's go*
Jessica: you two have your backpacks
Caroline: yeah mom, they're hook up by the door
Jessica: your lunches are in the fridge
Caroline: we like to eat lunch from home because cafeteria food is nasty
Ava: gotcha *walks over to coffee machine*
Sam: what are you doing?
Ava; having coffee?
Sam: Ava you can't have coffee while your on meds plus you're too young for coffee
Ava: dad!
Dean: doctor orders Ava
Ava rolled her eyes and slammed the cup down.
Sam: watch it Ava, mine your manners in my house. You may get away with that back at yours but in my house throwing tantrums is out of the question
Ava: *looks at her father*
Dean: listen to your uncle. You know better, and you know damn well I don't let you get away with that attitude either *motion belt*
Ava: *gulps* sorry Uncle Sam
Caroline: *whisper to Ava* are you trying to get yourself killed
Ava: *whispers back* well you said I have to act like the other Ava, and I think I'm doing pretty well
Caroline: yeah but she wouldn't take it this far
Ava: well you don't know this Ava very well. I don't play well with others *grabs plate of her breakfast and sits down*
Caroline sighs and follows suits.
With Ava and Caroline at school:
Caroline: I know you're not my Ava, but I can tell you're dying to see her
Ava: what are you talking about?
Caroline: your mom, you want to know what's she's like
Ava: look this whole thing is all in my head. This isn't even real, in my world my mother is dead, she was killed by a vampire
Caroline: vampire?
Ava: right forgot in this world, monsters don't exist. You see I always dream of what it would like if my dad and uncle didn't hunt. I thought I would be happy living with my mom and dad in our own house
Caroline: well sometimes dreams don't always come true. There's always consequences
Ava: funny that's something my Uncle Sam would say, he always got to ruins everything
Caroline: that's my dad for you, did my mom and dad ever-
Ava: no sorry, your mom was killed by yellow eyed
Caroline: so I was never born
Ava: yeah... sorry if my dad never got my uncle to look for our grandfather, you would be alive right now. Uncle Sam was going to propose to Jessica and have a a life with her
Caroline: oh...
Ava: I'm sorry you had to find out this way. I would have love to have you as a cousin
???: Ava
Ava: *looks* hey did you tell my dad and uncle where I am
???: yeah I told them, they're on their way to come find you. Your dad said when he was taken by a djinn all he had to do was stabbed himself. Whatever happened in this world doesn't effect you
Ava: are you saying in order for me to wake up from this is stabbed myself
Caroline: that's ridiculous! You can't do that
???: who are you?
Caroline: no who are you
???: I'm an angel, wait I recognize you, aren't you Jessica and Sam's daughter
Caroline: uh... yeah how you know that
???: we know all humans my dad built. You're very much alive in our world
Ava: wait alive?
???: didn't you hear, Jessica was pregnant before yellow eye killed her
Ava: what?! Why haven't you told my Uncle that! Don't you think that's information he should have known, that his kid still alive!
???: he knows
Ava: what do you mean he knows?! And he does nothing to save her
???: she lives with her grandparents, he wants her to have that normal life. You see yellow eye had plans for her in case Sam didn't work out he was going to use her as a plan b, so he kept her hidden and protected
Ava: ooo when I wake up, Sam is going have a lot of explaining to do
So Ava lived through the whole day until she started seeing things that weren't right. She started seeing ghost. Sam and Dean picked up Ava and Caroline from school today and took them to a taco truck.
Ava saw something out of the corner of her eye as Dean hand her a taco.
Ava: dad, behind you
Dean: *turns around and sees nothing* I don't see anything sweetheart. Are you okay?
Ava: uh... yeah I'm fine. You probably won't believe me anyways
Dean: okay... we need to talk *sits at the bench with her*
Ava: what about *takes bite out of taco*
Dean: about your mother, we found her
Ava: you did? Where is she?
Dean: she was last scene in rehab
Ava: so she's doing better
Dean: I don't know, this isn't the first time she checked herself out of rehab before
Ava: I know Caroline told me
Dean: *looks confused*
Ava: uh... I mean I know from experience
Dean: now we set up a meeting if you want to meet with her. Do you want to see your mom?
Ava: uh... I don't know what to say
Dean: I thought you wanted this?
Ava: *bites bottom lip and sighs* *thinks: play your role Ava* I've been seeing my mother behind my back
Dean: you what!
Ava: I know, it was dumb move
Dean: did you give her anything?
Ava: what?
Dean: like money or anything
Ava: what, no!
Dean: good, you don't know how many times I was fooled by your mother with giving her mother to pay the house bills only to find out she was paying her drug dealer. It's not that I don't love your mom or you, but I feel like I should be doing something else with my life you know...
Ava: *sighs* I'm sorry dad, this is my fault
Dean: what? How is this your fault
Ava: if I never wished to have normal life with you and mom. You would still be hunting.
Dean: hunting? Like animals?
Ava: no like ghosts, vampires, ghouls, demons, djinn... and you're damn good at your job *sees raise eyebrow* sorry, and I took that dream away from you because all I wanted was my family together and I was super selfish who was only thinking about herself not knowing that her dad and uncle save the world to protect us. You believe me right
Dean: if you believed that I'm supposed to be saving the world, then I would think your nuts. Honey, there's no such things as ghost, vampires, ghouls, demons or whatever a djinn
Ava: *tears comes to her eyes* my dad would have believed me *runs off*
Dean: Ava!
Sam: where did she go?
Dean: I don't know she just kept talking about monsters and dip
Caroline: oh no
Dean: you know something we don't?
Caroline looks between them.
Ava ran to an abandoned place not knowing where's she's going. She ends up seeing all the ghosts that her dad and Uncle have saved
Ava: wait... I'm sorry. I realize I was wrong. I can fix this *takes out knife*
Dean: *stops her* don't do it
Ava: it's the only way to get me home
Dean: this is your home
Ava: no it isn't. My real father would have believe me *looks to them* I'm sorry
Dean: Ava don't
It was too late, Ava stabbed herself and suddenly Ava eyes opened and she noticed Sam was waking her up.
Sam: hey Ava wake up, it's okay honey I got you
Ava: *wake up sounds drugged* Uncle Sam...
Sam: yeah kiddo, I'm here. Dean! I got her
Dean: *runs over after killing the djinn* thank god
Ava: Uncle Sam...
Sam: shhh kiddo relax
Ava: *sounds like she drugged* I hate you
Dean: *helps carries her out with Sam* Ava that's not nice
Ava: you knew about her...
Sam: knew about who Ava? What are you talking about
Ava: C-Carolinneee
Sam almost dropped Ava and Dean said.
Dean: Sam!
Sam: *picks her back in his other arm* how do you know about her?
Ava: (says name) told me
Sam: I'm going to kill her
Dean: that's it *lift Ava in his arm and puts her in the backseat of Baby* you two mind telling me what's going on
Ava: Uncle Sam should go first since he's the liar of the family
Dean: what is she talking about?
Sam: *sighs* you have a niece
Dean: excuse me?
Sam: Brady told me when he told me he got me and Jessica together and told me that she had our baby
Dean: why didn't you tell me?
Ava: so dad doesn't even know, wow you don't even trust your own family
Sam: *ignores her* same reason you didn't tell me about my niece. I guess we are both even. Look I didn't want tell you because I knew you would want me to be in her life
Dean: you deserve to be in her life, just like Ava is in mine
Sam: I don't want her in this life. It's bad enough Ava is curse with this. I don't want my daughter to be cursed too
Dean: Sam, you said that yellowed eye knew about her. What if she's endangered, what if she's living among demons and doesn't know about it. You really want the same thing to happened to Jessica happened to her too
Sam: you don't have to worry about Caroline, she's in good hands with her grandparents. In fact her grandparents knows the truth. Apparently Jessica's father was a former hunter (that part is made up we don't actually know anything about Jessica life)
Dean: really?
Sam: yeah but Jessica never knew so he kept that a secret from her, that's why he didn't want me to tell her
Ava: where is she now Caroline?
Sam: safe, that's all that matters. Living her normal life with her grandparents
Ava: are you sure? Can we double check to make sure she's okay
Sam: why do you care?
Ava: *sits up* because she's my cousin and it was wrong for you to keep her a secret. We could have been best friend but no you shield her away from this life
Dean: I think someone is jealous
Ava: *glares at him* I am not jealous. Just cause Caroline gets to live the normal life that I don't doesn't make me jealous
Sam: look I didn't tell you and Dean for this exact reason. I don't want her apart of this life. She deserve a semi normal life
Ava: and I don't? You don't think I deserve a normal life too?
Sam: no sweetheart, you choose this life. We told you to stay with Jody so she can gave you that apple pie life style, but you refused and choose to be with us
Ava: because I wanted my family! It wouldn't be the same without you or dad!
Sam: that's the difference between you and Caroline. Caroline has a family, me and Dean are the only people you got
Dean: Sam...
Ava: *looks away from him* get out
Sam: *sighs* Ava...
Ava: leave me alone! *slams her drivers side*
Dean: come on Sam, let her be
Sam: dude, you just going to let her talk to us like that?
Dean: she's upset and she has every right to be
Sam sighs and they both sat in the front of Baby. Dean turned in seat.
Dean: if you slammed Baby again, you are going to be washing her spotless with care
Ava: *says sarcastically* man I love it when my dad loves his baby more than his baby girl
Dean: *glares at her* you just earned yourself cleaning duty for the next 2 weeks
Ava: but daddddddd
Dean: no but dad me, this attitude you have going on, drops right now. You hear me?
Ava: *sighs and huff* yes dad
Dean: no. I wanna hear yes sir so I know you mean it
Ava: yes sir, I'm not a solider who you can bark orders all the time like grandpa did- wait what are you doing? Dadddddd, noooo *tries to lock her side of her door* I'm sorry pleaseeee
Dean: *opens door* you just earned yourself a spanking little girl
Ava tries to run to other side but Dean grabbed her and pulled her over one of his knees and started swatting her over her jeans.
Ava: dadddyyyyy noooooo, ow!
Dean: *spanking Ava* I get that you're angry at Sam, but you do not take your anger at anyone else who doesn't deserve it you understand me?
Ava: yes daddy I'm sorrry
Dean: also it it's not your business what Sam says does with his life. It's his business and you need to respect his choice young lady, do you understand me?
Ava: yes sirrrr
Dean lift her back up and Ava scoot away from him wincing.
Ava: don't I get a choice
Dean: choice of what?
Ava: it's not fair. You and Uncle Sam give up your life to save the world all the time without thinking of what would happened to me if I lost you both
Sam and Dean sighs and look at each other said.
Sam: Ava, kiddo we're sorry we didn't think it would effect you that much
Ava: you know how much it hurt me when dad wanted to say yes to Michael, or when Uncle Sam said yes to Lucifer. Nobody asked me how I felt. You, mom and Sam thought I was just a dumb little kid who wouldn't understand. Yes I made the choice to be with you guys. Yes I knew the consequences, but I'm tired of all the lies and secrets you guys keep from me and act like I don't exist. You guys act like I'm not apart of the family
Dean: honey... you not being a hunter doesn't make you any less of a family
Sam: yeah we love you no matter what
Dean: we thought that keeping secrets from you was better to keep you safe
Sam: we did realize that lying to you also meant we were hurting you
Ava: you guys always told me it was wrong to lie, but when you guys do it, it's okay?
Dean: Ava when you lie you do it for selfish reasons. You only think of yourself. When Sam and I lie we do it protect the people around us from knowing the truth, and we want you to understand the difference
Ava: fine whatever
Dean: are we okay?
Ava: *fakes smile* yeah sure
Dean: I wont believe it until you give me a hug
Ava sighs and hugs her father.
Dean: love you kiddo, we both do. We just want you to be able to live as normal as possible while living with us
Ava: *looks at him with fake smile* okay
Dean: now that does seem very convincing
Ava: *sighs* yes sir
Dean: that's my girl, proud of you *kiss forehead* get buckled
Ava sigh and put her seat belt on while Dean close the side door and sat back in his seat in the front.
Dean: *turns to Sam* you wanna drive? I'm beef
Sam: you're seriously asking me to drive your car?
Dean: yes plus, I want to keep my eye on this one *points to Ava*
Ava: *roll eyes* I'm not a baby
Dean: you're right you're not "Baby" you're my baby girl
Ava: that joke dead dad
Dean: hahaha *to Sam* get here before I change my mind
Both Dean and Sam switch places, and Sam drove off away from abandoned building.
