A/N: Some more Hange fluff because I have so many in my drafts and might as well post them :)
You stared at the long line ahead of you, sweat already beading on your forehead even though it was still 9 in the morning. You and Hange had agreed for this month's date you would go to their favorite theme park. You hadn't gone there before, but Hange definitely had and by the stories that Moblit told, they were obsessed with thriller rides. To be honest, you weren't looking forward to spending a hot summer day at a crowded amusement park.
"Hange...This line..." You groaned, wilting. "I thought we were early!"
"Don't worry (Y/N)! When the park opens, this line will move fast!" Hange bounced on the balls of their feet.
You grinned at Hange's enthusiasm. "How much caffeine did you have today? You're pinging off the walls."
"I didn't have any coffeeee," Hange sang, looping their arm around yours.
"Are you sure? You seem pretty energetic to me, and it's too early in the morning to have this much energy."
"I'm just excited to ride all of my favorite rides with you," Hange grinned, widely. "We're going to ride the drop tower, the scrambler...ooh and the new roller coaster that just opened!"
You forced a smile. Roller coasters? A drop tower? This was going to be an eventful day.
~~~~
"Did you like the ride? I did! Especially the loop, did you see the view of the water? It was stunning," Hange rambled.
"Mhm," you gripped your stomach. That ride had turned your insides out and you were struggling to keep your breakfast in.
"You okay?" Hange paused, concerned.
"Yeah," you gulped. "Just a little nauseous."
Hange wrapped their arm around your stomach, pulling you closer. "Aww, love, we don't have to ride any more roller coasters. The first three were my favorite anyways."
"No, no, I'm willing to ride more if you want," you smiled. Your stomach let out a loud rumble and Hange giggled.
"Looks like your nausea turned into hunger! Want to eat something?"
You winced. "I don't know if I'll be able to keep it in. How about a drink?"
"That sounds great! Here, why don't you sit, I'll go grab something for you," Hange forced you to sit on one of the nearby benches and bounded over to one of the nearby stalls.
You smiled softly, watching as Hange stood in line, digging through their pockets for their wallet. Hange dropped their wallet, causing coins to roll everywhere. You laughed as Hange chased after a few, stuffing them back into their pockets. Noticing your laughter, Hange grinned at you before returning to the vendor window, pausing to look at the menu.
Hange looked amazing today. They were wearing a nice fitting white t-shirt that was tucked into ripped jeans. You sat there, admiring their body, and didn't notice when they walked back to you again.
"I got you a lemonade slush," Hange beamed, handing you the cup, and sitting next to you.
"Thanks, Hange," you brought the straw up to your mouth, your lips puckering as the sour taste hit your throat.
"Does it taste good?"
"Yep," you brought the straw to their mouth and they took a sip.
"Oo, that's sour!"
"What ride do you want to go on next?" You asked, wiping the sweat off your forehead.
"Which one do you want to go on (Y/N)? I've taken you on like five rides so far, there's got to be a ride you want to go on!"
"Hmm," you thought. "How about a water ride? It's afternoon now so it's getting really hot! I'm literally sweating so bad."
"A water ride sounds refreshing!" Hange grinned. "But I didn't pack my swimsuit?"
"We don't have to go to the waterpark, just a ride with a water drop!"
"Okay, we'll go when you're done with your drink," Hange casually swung their legs, looking around them.
You resisted the urge to kiss them. How did they always look so good? Your race was red and sweaty, your hair a mess, but Hange looked relaxed and refreshed. Their smile radiated pure joy. You slurped up the rest of your drink, standing up and throwing the cup in the trash can.
"Let's go?" You asked, glancing at Hange. "I know the way, it's next to the Ferris wheel."
Hange entwined their fingers with yours and you led them through the throngs of sweaty park guests, eyes scanning for the start of the line. The line, like most of the rides, was longer than thirty minutes. You held back a sigh. You couldn't help it. You were being burnt to a crisp regardless of the amount of sunscreen you had put on.
You glanced over the railing to look at the ride. Each "log" fit two people and the ride ended with the log falling off a very high drop into the water. You shivered, imagining the feeling of the cool water against your skin.
"It's almost our turn!" Hange said, excitedly. "Have you ridden this before?"
"Nope, it'll be my first time with you," you grinned back.
"Oh, it'll be so much f—"
Hange was cut off once you reached the beginning of the line. You slid onto the black seat, wincing as your shoes and pants got wet because of the leftover water. Hange slid in next to you, their thigh squeezing against yours. Before you had fully adjusted into the seat, the ride shot forward and you gripped Hange's wrist.
"Wait, there are no restraints? What if we fall off?" You asked, panicked.
"Nobody's fallen off before! The drop isn't too bad. And don't worry, I've got you," Hange wrapped an arm around your waist.
The log glided along the water tube and you peered over the side, the height sending butterflies in your stomach. Maybe this was a bad idea...Maybe you would fall out—
The log dropped and you two were hurtling into the pool of water. Hange shrieked loudly and your eyes widened, a scream leaving your throat. Before you knew it, you were thrust into the cold water, and it soaked your entire body. You saw nothing but water all around.
The ride came to a stop and you sputtered, wiping water from your eyes. "That was..."
"Amazing!" Hange squealed. "Let's go again!"
"N-no," your teeth chattered. "I-I'm cold now."
"You'll be hot any second, the sun's still shining," Hange helped you off the log and led you to the shade. "Let's look at the map and choose our next ride!"
You nodded and noticed that someone was looking at you two. You turned and noticed it was a guy, around your age. His cheeks were flushed, and he was staring directly at Hange. Bewildered, you noticed there was another guy looking their way. More specifically at Hange's chest.
"Hey, why are those guys looking at—" You turned to Hange and instantly realized why they were getting so much attention.
The water had caused Hange's white t-shirt to become transparent and it stuck completely to their skin. You could clearly see the imprints of their chest, exposing pretty much everything, and not leaving much to the imagination. Your mouth dropped open. No wonder why those boys were staring.
"Hange," you hissed, walking to stand directly in front of them, trying to cover them with your own body. "Do you have a jacket?"
"Huh? A jacket? Are you that cold (Y/N)?" Hange teased.
"No. For you!"
"For me? I'm not cold at all! I feel nice."
"Hange your shirt," you said, voice strained. "I can see everything."
Hange looked down at their shirt, confused. They laughed when they saw what you were talking about. "Oh! No, I don't have a jacket. But it's alright, this will dry in no time! I don't mind."
"I do!" You whisper yelled. "I don't want people looking at what's mine!"
Hange's eyes widened and their mouth formed an 'o'. A slight blush appeared across their cheeks. "Wow, (Y/N), I didn't know you were possessive..."
You glared. "I'm not being possessive! Sorry if I don't want random guys leering at my partner."
Hange smiled softly and looped an arm around your waist. "Aww, you're so sweet. But I don't have a jacket."
"Let's buy you one from the gift store."
"(Y/N)...I'm not spending 60 dollars to buy a hoodie."
"Fine. Then let's go sit somewhere away from people's gazes, dry off, and eat some lunch."
~~~~~~~~~~~
Evening fell quickly and you and Hange walked hand in hand through the theme park activities, ranging from bottle knocking to strength games.
"These games are so rigged," you scoffed. "I never won anything."
"Surely there's got to be some strategy to it," Hange adjusted their glasses. Their t-shirt had dried over time and they weren't so exposed anymore.
"Nope. It's a rip-off," you paused to admire an adorable stuffed bear.
"Do you like that? Want me to win it for you?" Hange asked excitedly.
You laughed. "Hange you wouldn't be able to. It's rigged, remember?"
"Well, let me try!" Hange dragged you over to the bottle-knocking game. They put ten bucks on the stand and asked for three baseballs.
"Good luck," you grinned.
Hange's first try was unsuccessful, their aim nowhere near the stack of glass bottles. Their second aim wasn't any good either. Their third aim hit the bottles but only knocked the top one off. They frowned.
"Satisfied? Can we go on the Ferris wheel now? I want to see the lights in the dark! It looks so pretty," you lightly tugged Hange's hand.
"No, wait! I want to try again," Hange placed another ten dollars on the stand.
"Hange...we could have bought the actual stuffed animal with that amount of money," you sighed.
"But I really want to win something for you," Hange pouted.
You couldn't help but grin. "Alright. I read online if you aim for the bottom right one, you'll be able to hit all three of them over."
Hange nodded and pulled their fist back, squinting their eye. They threw the ball fiercely and managed to knock over all the bottles.
"I did it!" Hange jumped, hugging you. "Did you see, (Y/N)?"
"I did see, I'm standing right next to you," you laughed.
"What prize would you like?" The booth tender asked.
Hange pointed to the bear you had been admiring and handed it to you, grinning widely. "For you."
"Aww, Hange, you shouldn't have," you teased, hugging the stuffed animal close.
"You still have two balls left. You could win another prize," the booth tender mentioned.
"I'll give it a go," you shrugged, handing Hange the bear. Hange took a step back, eagerly watching.
You grabbed one of the baseballs, pulled back, aimed, and threw the ball. Surprisingly, all three bottles fell over in one try. You blinked. Wow, you were good.
Hange stood there, their mouth agape. "How did you...?"
"I have no idea," you responded, looking over to the prizes. You scanned them and your gaze fell on a cute stuffed frog dressed up in a yellow rain jacket and bucket hat. You didn't know why, but that frog reminded you of Hange. You pointed at it and the booth tender handed it to you.
"Here," you mumbled shyly, handing Hange the frog. "This reminds me of you."
"It's so cute," Hange squealed, hugging you. "Thanks, (Y/N)!"
"Welcome. Can we go to the Ferris wheel now?" You took your bear back from Hange.
"Of course! Lead the way!"
~~~~~~~~~
"Wow it looks so pretty from up here," Hange breathed.
"It does, doesn't it?" You responded, peering out of the carriage window. The Ferris wheel was one of your favorite rides to take at night, just to look at the park and the lights from above.
"I loved coming here with you today," Hange turned to you. "Thank you for agreeing to this park."
You smiled, placing a hand on Hange's cheek. "Thank you for making this day amazing. I had some doubts, but you really know how to have fun."
A small smile flitted across Hange's lips as they leaned in forward and closed the gap between you. You melted in their arms, wrapping your own around their neck.
"I think we might be shaking the carriage," Hange mumbled against your lips. "People might think we're doing something else."
"Let them think what they want," you smirked. "Though I wouldn't mind if we did that."
Hange grinned and closed the space between you two again.
In the end, going to an amusement park hadn't been too bad.
