Princess of the dawn

Prologue

A beautiful young woman stood lost on a plateau.
She was clad all in white. Her long black hair blowed in the wind.
With her wonderful doe-like eyes she looked down to the valley.
As always the valley enchanted her. It attracted her magically.
Suddenly she saw flames. Acrid smoke took her breath away.
She heard screams of fear and the sound of swords clashing,
smelled blood and death. She was shocked to the core.
Where did these pictures came from?
A deep feeling of grief and loss overwhelmed her.
Tears runned down her cheeks. After a while, the vision vanished.
There was an eerie silence around her. Only the whisper of the wind could be heared.
In a daze she walked to her horse and caressed his mane to calm her nerves.
After a last disturbed gaze down to the valley she got on the horse and rode into dawn...
