I got ready like any regular day and got in my car to go pick up Jack.
I picked Jack up and took him to the Arcade that was in the city
"Hey can I talk to you about something really quick" Jack asked
"Yeah" I said smiling
"Why can't I meet you boyfriend," he said and my heart dropped a bit
"I just don't want you switching up on me and fighting my boyfriend" I say
"I won't do that I promise" he says putting his pinky towards me
"Promise" I say wrapping my pinky around his smiling
"He's a business man so I'll have to ask him when he won't be busy" I said and he nodded his head
*Later that day*
We got to my car and hopped in and I took a sip from my drink I bought
"I won't be able to talk to your boss about getting you a raise but I still consider you get a job" I say and he looked at me from eating his fries
"I can't go back to waiting tables I'll be killed"
"What if I put you in a different gang" I say
"I'll still get killed"
"And who's fault is that huh? I told you not to and your dumb ass still got into one that you can never get away from" I say ranting
The car went silent
"Let's go to the bridge" he said and I started the car
When we were in high school we'd go to this bridge and sit at the edge to eat and talk
Long fall if you tripped from the edge and the water wasn't gonna save you
We pulled up to the bridge and he got out and stood on the edge
I quickly got out the car
"Jack what the fuck are you doing" I said approaching him
"The fall seems pretty far from when we last saw it don't you think" he said facing away from me
My eyes started to water
"Don't-"
"How else am I gonna get out of this gang shit" he started
"My family kicked me out, random people I don't even know take my money, and the only girl I love is committed to her boyfriend" he said and my heart
That's when he leaped and everything felt like it was in slow motion
"JACK!!" I said running towards to edge to see him fall flat into the water soon a pool of blood floating to the top of the water
I grabbed my phone and called the cops and they soon pulled up and so did Vinnie
The cops asked me questions on why he could've jumped and I told him what he told me
Vinnie came up to me after and took me to my car and he drove me home
I stayed in my room for days and Vinnie checked up on me
I wanted to talk to him but my mouth never wanted to open and I felt bad.
I felt terrible.
