Banner arrived very early, much earlier than I was ready for. When I woke up, I could hear the sound of yelling coming from somewhere outside my bedroom. I quickly jumped up out of bed realizing that Nat was gone and the side of the bed that she had slept on was neatly made. I rushed over to my closet, grabbing a pair of jeans and pulling them on quickly. I decided to keep the white t-shirt on to save time and grazed my fingers through my hair and I sped towards the yelling. I rushed down to the huge parking garage/ occasional workspace for Tony. Before my very eyes, I saw Banner frantically working behind a huge motherboard as Steve and Nat yelled at him to 'bring Scott back'.
"What do you mean bring Scott back? Where the hell is Scott?!" I exclaim
"Banner made him old," Nat yells
"I'll get him back!" Banner replies
"You guys started without me?" I ask
"Could I get a little space here?" Banner exclaims while lightly moving Steve out of his way
"Yeah. Yeah. Can you bring him back?" Steve asks
With a few clicks, Scott comes back through the portal, except this wasn't Scott.
"It's a baby," Steve states
"It's Scott!" Banner replies
"Yeah, like a baby!" I yell
"He'll grow!" Banner replies
"Bring Scott back," Steve states
"When I say kill the power, kill the power," Banner orders
Nat quickly runs over to the fuse box and waits for Banner's order. He hits two buttons and orders Nat to kill the power. She pulls down the switch and flicks it back up after three seconds. In that small window of time, Scott emerges from the portal. We all let out a sigh of relief at the sight of him.
"Somebody peed my pants. But I don't know if it was old me or baby me... or me, me," he mutters
"Time Travel!" Banner yells
Steve and I roll our eyes in unison, I take a seat on a nearby crate pinching the top of my nose to relieve the stress-induced headache.
"I see this as an absolute win," Banner continues
Steve heads for the front doors, I'm assuming for fresh air. I follow him close behind to check upon him. He sighs as he takes in the fresh air, absorbing the sunlight.
"You okay, old man?" I chuckle
"Maybe this won't work," he replies
"Hey, no. It's too soon for that Steve. That was trial one, and even then we still got him back... on the fourth try," I state
Steve just chuckles and smiles at me. The peaceful morning silence was soon broken by the sound of a car shooting towards us at a dangerous speed. The car stops in front of us and as the window slowly rolls down, it reveals the reckless driver. Tony.
"Let me guess. He turned into a baby," Tony asks
Steve sighs with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, among other things. What are you doing here?" Steve asks
"It's the EPR Paradox," Tony states while getting out of the car
"Instead of pushing Lang through time, you might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's tricky, dangerous. Somebody could have cautioned you against it," Tony continues
"You did," I reply
"Oh, did I? Well, thank god I'm here. Regardless, I fixed it," he states as he holds up his fist, revealing a metal device wrapped around it.
"A fully functioning time-space GPS. I just want peace. Turns out resentment is corrosive, and, I hate it," Tony continues
"Me too," Steve replies
"We got a shot at getting these stones but I gotta tell you my priorities. Bring back what we lost, I hope, yes. Keep what I found, I have too, at all costs. And maybe not die trying. Would be nice," Tony responds
"Sounds like a deal," Steve states while holding his hand out to Tony
The two grin at each other and seeing it makes me happy. I missed this, I missed having everyone together. I few people were definitely missing but we would have them back, soon enough. Tony smirks as he walks over to the trunk of his car and opens it. Underneath a bunch of Morgans' toys and a few blankets, Tony pulls out Steve's shield. He hands it to him and Steve sighs at the sight of it.
"Tony, I don't know," Steve states
"Why? He made it for you. Plus, honestly, I have to get this thing out of the garage before Morgan tries to take it sledding," Tony smiles
Steve holds the shield as he looks down at it, wrapped around his arm.
"Thank you, Tony," Steve mutters
"Will you two keep that a little quiet? I didn't bring one for the whole team. We are getting a whole team, yeah?" Tony asks
"We're working on that right now," I reply
After we got Banner, Nat and Steve made some calls. A few familiar faces were set to come in back to the Facility today and I was more than excited. I missed everyone so much, the phone calls and hologram meetings weren't the same as having everyone around again. The first to arrive was Rocket and Nebula. Rocket, Banner and I were set to leave once again after Rocket arrived. We couldn't reach Thor in New Asgard for some obscure reason, so we had to go there and get him personally. Banner and I headed outside right when we heard Rocket's ship land. We passed Rhodey on our way put and I was able to sneak in a quick hug before catching up with Banner. Banner and I boarded Rocket's ship, as I entered Rocket looked up and me and smiled.
"Ooh. I missed you," Rocket exclaimed
"This is gonna be a long trip," I mutter
We land just outside of New Asgard. We catch a ride with some Asgardian who was driving a pick-up truck so we didn't have to walk into town. Banner, Rocket and I huddled up in the back of the truck as we sat in silence on our bumpy ride into town. The view was pretty, there was plenty of open lands and freshwater, The air was clean and it felt nice to breathe it all in. We got off on the docks. I waved to the man in the truck as a "thank you" for the lift. Once we got off, Hulk immediately was noticed by a woman.
"You shouldn't have come!" she yells
"Ah! Valkyrie, great to see you, angry girl," he smiles
"I think I liked you better either of the other ways," she chuckles
"This is Rocket," Banner says while pointing to Rocket who was leaning against a crate
"How you doin'" Rocket smirks
"And this is-" Banner begins to introduce me but is cut off
"I've heard about you, Thor has talked about you a lot. You were a friend of Helen. Thor says you helped him a lot. Thank you for that," she smiles weakly
"What're friends for?" I shrug
"He won't see you," Valkyrie states, setting her glare on Banner
"It's that bad huh?" Banner asks
"We only see him once a month when he comes in for 'supplies'" Valkyrie states while motioning towards the barrels of beer
"It's definitely that bad," I reply
"Yeah," she replies
"Well, let's get up there," Rocket states while leading the way to a small house on the top of a hill
Rocket bangs on the door as loud as he possibly can before he gives up and opens the door on his own. The house was dusty, it smelled terrible and it was a complete mess. Seeing Thor's home in this state made me worry even more. If his house was this bad, then how bad was he?
