I stared at the presentation in confusion. Midnight was shaking her head.
"By reports they steal heros and villains alike. So we need to keep our guard up. Patrols will now be done in groups of 3 until they are captured"
A cocky voice suddenly spoke up, "Whats really the harm? I really don't get why we are panicking over this. Just some fan making people kiss" Hawks had his feet up on the meeting table while looking at his phone, "I mean, unless you're scared of who you are paired with. Just cause Eraser head threw a fit about it happening to him and Mic doesn't mean it's horrible"
"Its still kidnapping, and invasion of privacy" FatGum reasoned, "You are literally trapped until you follow their instructions. This person may have fairly innocent requests now but they could make people fight gladiator style in the future"
"Thus far its only instructions to kiss the other person, which for some of us is an act of infidelity" Rocklock shook his head
"This is based on who they think would be good together right? So how bad could it be" Hawks shrugged
"Last week Endeavor had to lick a trashcan" Midnight pointed out
I stiffled a laugh by clearing my throat, "Either way they are stopping us from doing our jobs"
"As long as we stay in groups we'll be fine. They appear to be limited by proximity" Midnight finished
The meeting ended and heros started to split when a hand caught my shoulder. I turned to see the rabbit hero Miruko with a wide smile.
"Can you do us a solid and travel with us? Going out for some food"
I looked to see it was her and Hawks forming a group. I decided to go with. We were in the same age range so it worked well.
We traveled to get food Miruko and Hawks talking while I just tagged along. Sitting at a booth next to Miruko, Hawks suddenly addressed me from across from us.
"Hey (H/N) who do you think are the next targets?"
"I don't think that's appropriate. It's not cool to think about who the next victims will be" I rolled my eyes
"I can't say i really see the harm. I have already had it happen to me and it went better than expected" Miruko shrugged
"Wait, it happened to you?" I looked at her interested, "with who?"
"It was a villian, we are keeping this just between us. I won't name any names but I can say it wasn't a total loss. The instructionscan totally change in the box. Kissing is just the common one" she smirked
"Im looking up online what the most popular celebrity ships are" Hawks laughed, "I kinda wanna know who Fatgum would be paired with"
"We already know you are probably going to be with a chicken nugget" Miruko poked fun at Hawks
"Actually I have quite a few potential candidates thank you. Including you two" he smiled showing the fanart he found on his phone, "Also have endeavor, some villian, and endeavors daughter"
"We know for a fact not endeavor" I laugh
"Definitely not me" Miruko fake gagged
"Whats with all the fire users? Don't people know I prefer not to be fried chicken?" Hawks rolled his eyes setting his phone down
"That still leaves (H/N)" Miruko points out
"That's a no" I shake my head
"Would kissing me be that bad? Promise I won't use tongue unless you want to" Hawks teased making me roll my eyes.
It finally came time for us all to split paths. It wasn't bad hanging out with them. I really didn't mind. Home was relaxing letting me finally chill before heading to bed.
I wake up feeling a sudden chill looking around. I looked down to pull up the covers only to see they were gone only leaving my night clothes to cover. My confusion lead me to look around the room.
Everything was white. Just a white box until my eyes suddenly landed on a pile of red plumage making my heart drop.
My face burned when I saw a part of the wall turn to show a simple command, 'Kiss'
My attention was dragged back to the other pro as he sat up looking around wearing get sweatpants and a black Tshirt, "The fuck? Oh shit..."
"I thought we had to be in close proximity. Did you break into my house" I huff
"I was in bed thank you"
"Well so was I" I yawn stretching lightly
"I don't know. But I was right" Hawks smiled cheekily, "You were one of the options"
"Shut up. Let's find a way out" I look for any way out.
"Endeavor couldn't even get out. Looks like we only got one option"
"Wait. The instructions aren't even clear" I point out smiling"
"It says kiss. What do you mean?"
"Doesn't say where or how, or even with who" i smile giving my hand a peck in an attempt watching the sign.
There was no change making me sigh and roll my eyes.
"Would kissing me be so bad? Let's get it over with. I want to go back to bed" Hawks Yawned
"Fine, kiss my hand"
"Really?"
"Yes"
I hold my hand out to him. He rolled his eyes kissing my knuckles. The sign still hasn't changed.
"Wow. Shocker. That didn't work" his voice dripped with sarcasm
"Fine...then" I lean forward giving his cheek a peck looking at the sign.
"Still no change. Come on kid. Its one kiss. I have patrol in 4 hours"
"I know but...its my first one" I felt my face burning.
"Same but so what, its just a kiss. Not like we are slipping tongue"
"Wait...seriously?"
"I mean, I didn't plan on skipping tongue but if you wa-"
"No no shut up, I meant it being your first you dumb bird" my face burned brighter
"Oh, well yeah. Work is my life. I don't have time for a girlfriend. How do you think I made it in the top 3?"
"You just seem like...you know"
"Rude but fair. Now come on. Let's stop wasting time" Hawks leaned forward staring into my eyes.
"Dont look at me. Its weird" I huff covering his eyes with my hand
"Fine, just kiss me already"
"I will! Just...give me a sec"
"Its just a peck"
"I know!"
"Clocks ticking"
"Will you shut up!"
"Only when you kiss me" Hawks smirked
I kiss my fingers then place them on his lips as a last ditch attempt. No change. I finally give in and give him a quick peck.
Hawks removed my hand as a clear ding was heard, "See? Wasnt so hard no was it?"
I looked away from him looking back at the sign. It suddenly flipped over with a new instruction, 'French Kiss'
"Now how do we get out of here?" Hawks spoke up before I nudged him. He looked up at the sign and scoffed.
"This is bull shit" I sigh
"Come on, no bending the rules. Let's get this over with"
"How long do you think their quirk lasts? Maybe we can wait it out?"
"Did you not hear me earlier? I have 4 hours till my patrol"
"Can we maybe get help?"
"Remember? Phones don't work. Our bodies aren't able to be located either"
"This is your fault for mentioning it" I huff
"My fault? Probably your fault for dragging this out so long"
"You're such an asshole"
"Im tired. I want to sleep. Now come here"
His hand tangled into my hair grabbing a fistful by the root directing me into the kiss. His tongue swiped across my bottom lip. After a second he growled and pulled back looking more irritated, "Open your mouth kid," he dove back into the kiss.
I parted my lips slightly and he took full advantage worming his tongue in making me open wider. I tried to kiss back following his lead. He moved my head where he wanted it kissing me deeply before once again letting his tongue slip out.
It felt good. His hand in my hair and kis lips on mine. His tongue rubbed a certain way and I moaned against his lips.
He pulled back suddenly as we both flushed moving a good foot away from eachother. A ding rang out in the white room again. We looked back at the wall again seeing the sign flip again, 'Pin her'
I could see Hawks wings twitch before feathers shot out snagging my pjs and pinning me against the wall.
"You owe me new PJs" I squint at him angrily.
"I don't have the energy to care right now kid. Bite me" Hawks stuffed his hands in his sweat pant pockets.
"Careful what you say" I hiss
The sign flipped to add another word at the end of the last command, 'physically'
Hawks sighed rolling his eyes. His feathers returned as he grabbed each of my wrists, "S'cuse me" he pinned them up by my head.
I couldn't see the sign anymore past him and his wings. He peered over his shoulder to look at it before turning back getting closer. His hands shifted to hold both of mine above my head moving to be held with only one of his.
I watched him continue to look over followed by his next action. His knee moved between my thighs and his hand meeting my hip.
Finally he scoffed after peering back, "I hate you being right"
"You have to bite me?"
"Yup"
"Just one?"
"Plural"
I took a deep breath before sighing, "Bring it" I tilted my head to the side giving him access.
I finally got a view of the sign with the instructions, 'Leave love bites' making me roll my eyes.
"I think you can release me from this at least now" I pull against the hand holding mine but a growl catches me off guard
"Keep still" Hawks spoke lowly before starting to pepper my neck and shoulder in kisses.
The hand previously on my hip moving my shirt collar to get more access. His teeth grazed my skin making me shiver. Finally he started placing love bites and hickeys. My knees felt weak forcing him to pick up the slack. The hand that moved my collar moved to my leg pulling it around his hip holding it to keep me upright.
Another ding rang out. I was ready to feel him stop but jumped when his teeth caught my earlobe nibbling it gently.
"H- Hawks..."
He hummed lightly against my neck.
Everything went dark. The wall I was against was gone and so was my balance as I fell back. I didn't fall far my knees catching on something and falling back on a mattress. My moment of relief was met with panic feeling the extra weight on the bed as well and barely make out the shadow of Hawks above me.
He released me quickly and started looking around in a panic, "No sign of the shipper" he sighed finally, "And this isn't my room"
"So then what are you don't in my room"
"I don't know, don't ask me. I was in my apartment Fine before this" he sighed
"Apartment?"
"Yeah?" He sat next to me on the bed as I sat up
"Doesn't happen to be Eagleview apartments?"
"Yeah how did you know?" He questioned, "Wait...shit...this is building F"
"Im apartment 712"
"Im 812" Hawks sighed heavily before starting to laugh, "What are the fucking chances"
"How have I never caught you in the elevator?"
"I take my balcony"
"What are the chances"
"I don't know. I don't want to math right now" Hawks started getting under the covers
"Hey! This is my house!"
"I am not going to walk all the way to the next floor to crash. Sharing a bed for one night is nothing compared to what just happened"
"I mean...I guess you're right" I started laying down but quickly get frustrated with how little room I get compared to his wings, "Scoot! There isn't enough room"
"There is plenty of room in my arms"
I scoff at him but one if his arms drags me over to lay on his chest, "Aren't you embarrassed?"
"No I'm tired"
I was getting ready to argue when his breathing slowed. I didn't have the energy either to be honest. I fell asleep next to him.
I woke up to a sudden jerk. I slowly woke up and looked at Hawks. His face was a deep blush. I rubbed my eyes sitting up lazily.
"Whats up?" I rub the sleep from my eyes trying to fully grasp the situation
Hawks winced blushing deeper, "Um...legs"
I looked confused before realising I was straddling his waist. The realization hit like a truck along with feeling something hard under me. I quickly got off backing away while he moved a pillow to cover his tent.
"Im...so so sorry" his face held shame as he sat up
"I-its fine. Its normal. Morning wood and all that" I try to avoid eyecontact feeling awkward. My gaze locked on the clock, "Hey uh, when was your patrol?"
"6, why?"
"Its 9"
"Damnit" Hawks shook his head, "Im sorry about all... everything"
"Its fine, breakfast?"
"Yes please" he smiled, "thanks neighbor" he chuckled to himself shaking his head
