"I'm going to lose my mind Yeji. I'M ALREADY LOSING MY MIND" Sunghoon yelled, rolling around on the living room floor. It was already Friday evening, the week passed by quickly. With exams taking up most of the school hours and spending the rest of the day studying, Sunghoon and Jake couldn't talk to each other too often. They didn't talk besides exchanging hellos and then moving on with their day.
"Yah! Calm down, what's going on?" Yeji yelled back whilst throwing a pillow at her older brother. They were supposed to be watching some movies together but Sunghoon suddenly decided to have a mental breakdown. Jake and Sunghoon agreed to meet the next day so his emotions were all over the place. He didn't know if he was freaking out because of all the tests he had to take, or if it was because he was terrified of embarrassing himself in front of Jake.
"Why? Are you going to see your friend again?" She asked with the remote pointed at the TV to pause the movie she was beginning. For the past few days, it had been pretty chaotic with just the two of them alone. With their mother constantly at work and their tests, they would scurry past each other. The Park siblings would rush to do everything and rarely talked to each other during the five days of the week. So this was nice to have a calm and relaxing moment but Sunghoon had to ruin it with all of his loud whines.
"Yeah... And I don't know how to skateboard" He admitted, going to lean against the couch. There was a shortstop for a period of silence before the younger would answer. "There's no shame in that. Just have your friend teach you, plus isn't it the friend you like? That'll be good for you" Yeji held up two handguns and winked teasingly. "YAH! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT!" He threw the pillow that she threw back at her, hitting him straight in the head. "YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET THAT PARK SUNGHOON!"

"Mm-mm! It's fine Hoonie, don't worry. We aren't in a rush anyways, take your time" Jake said over the phone. Sunghoon could just hear the little smile on the older's face without needing to see it. It was Saturday afternoon already and Sunghoon was still choosing an outfit to wear. Not only did he wake up late because he was tossing and turning, but he had the boldness to take his time choosing an outfit.
"I'm sorry... I'll see you in a bit!" Sunghoon stated and hung up his phone, moving quickly to take out any clothes he touched. With nothing in his mind besides getting to the park that they planned to meet up at, Sunghoon put on a white t-shirt, some sweatpants, and a flannel. He fixed the black flannel nicely before rushing to put on his socks and shoes, running down the stairs right after
"I've gotta go Yeji! Make sure to feed Gaeul" The older yelled before running out of the front door. "PHONE!" Yeji yelled from inside, holding out a phone. She had an unbothered look at her face as her older brother slowly retreated to claim his phone before leaving again. "I swear, he worries me some times"

"Jakey!" Sunghoon called out, waving a hand. The older sat on a bench with two skateboards at his feet. He had a little grin on his mouth and he put away his phone which he was scrolling through. It was around noon so the park had just a few people. Things were beginning to come to some sort of normal so it became much more common to see people out. Especially people around their age, who all began to hang out with their friends again.
"Hey, Sunghoon." Jake greeted with a small wave. The younger panted as he rested his hands on his knees, his chest rising and falling rapidly. There was a slight breeze that cooled him off before he took the empty spot beside Jake. "You look tired... How about we go over there and get a drink!" Jake exclaimed and pointed towards the boba shop across the street. It would be no fun if all they did was skate.
"Sure but wait, let me... let me breathe" Sunghoon mumbled. He put a hand to his chest, feeling his heart beating at a slightly faster pace. Every second they sat down in silence made the situation even funnier to Jake, making him giggle softly. "What... What's wrong?" Sunghoon gasped. "Did you run the WHOLE way?" Jake asked with a little tilt of his head. The younger, clearly embarrassed, nodded his head carefully.
"Yeah, I felt really bad to be late. I shouldn't have come late, I'm sorry again" The older only cooed and fixed his shirt that was beginning to wrinkle at the corner. "I already told you Hoonie, it's fine. Really. Come on, let's go get some boba. You look like you're gonna pass out" Jake laughed and grabbed onto the younger's hand. Upon pulling him up, he handed Sunghoon one of the skateboards to hold while he held the other. "Let's go!!"

"I'm going to be completely honest now" Sunghoon began with a little frown on his face. They sat on the bench that they initially did when they first met up a few minutes ago, finishing up their drinks. The sun was glaring down at them so they thought it would be good to start sooner so they could get out of the heat as quickly as they could. "What is it?" "I can't skate, I haven't even step foot on a skateboard before"
The younger had a very embarrassed look on his face whilst he nervously played with the buttons on his flannel. The other only laughed and pat him on the shoulder, flashing him a little smile before pulling up his mask and throwing his cup away. "Come on! If you can ice skate, skateboarding will be easy to master. Plus, I'm right here aren't I?" Jake asked with his hands pointing towards himself, eyebrows raised. This little action made Sunghoon blush a little bit. Ugh, I'm definitely going to fall on my face today :))
"Hm, Sunghoon-ah comes here" Jake called with a wave of his hand before pointing down at the skateboard that he held down with his foot. With a little hesitation in his steps, the younger stepped up and onto the skateboard. He only had stepped one foot before he panicked and quickly stepped back off. Ice skating was much harder to do so why was he so nervous to do it? It wouldn't be so bad to fall anyway, falling would be part of the process. So why is he so nervous? Easy, because Jake Sim would be there to experience Sunghoon TRYING to skate just to fall and embarrass himself.
"Slowly okay? Just slowly push your foot like this" Jake demonstrated on the one he stood on. He moved a few feet before stopping himself and standing beside Sunghoon. The younger nervously held onto Jake's arm and pushed off of the ground, the skateboard beginning to accelerate and move forward. It wasn't bad but the problem was balancing himself. He was so afraid he would fall they he didn't dare to let go of Jake's sleeve.
"You got this Sunghoon, don't be so scared" Jake cheered and removed the younger's hand from his own. Sunghoon took a deep breath before nodding and closing his eyes. Here goes nothing. He pushed himself forwards and continued to do so for a little before he was moving on the skateboard. I'm doing it! I'm doing it! Sunghoon was going at quite a fast speed down the pavement. Jake was cheering him on from behind, getting on his skateboard to catch up to the younger. "Woah Woah!" Sunghoon began to yell, watching as the pavement was about to end and dip into a little hill.
It was so quick as he was going much too fast to stop before he was rolled down the little hill. The hill wasn't even that high but he still breathed heavily as he stared up at the sky. He was on his back with the skateboard at his legs. The sound of wheels against the pavement could be heard, Jake was picking up speed as well. "Sungho—" Jake also almost fell over the side of the pavement but was quick to stop himself.
"Sim Jaeyun! You didn't tell me there was a dip there!"
"I didn't know you'd be going so fast! I'm sorry... I didn't even warn you from afar" Jake apologized while playing around with his fingers. Sunghoon made a little hum before ruffling Jake's hair. "It's alright. I wasn't paying attention either, it's not your fault" Sunghoon sighed and looked over at Jake. The older laid beside him and took off his mask for a moment to take in the fresh air. Jake's expression changed to a happy one as he closed his eyes, the feeling of smelling of fresh air was the best.
