I rolled over in my bed, pulling the blanket above my head trying to block out the morning sun. The night before I had done just what my Mum and Aunty Tammy told both Danny and me not to do, stay up and have an all-night Star Wars movie marathon. But to our defence, both Dad and Uncle David were watching the movie with us. So, it's not like we were doing watching the movies in secret or anything. But I was starting to regret the decision of going to bed at 3 am as my room grew brighter with the morning light.
"Elsa, time to get up," my Mum told me, walking in to the room that used to be hers and opening the curtains.
"Just five more minutes," I begged, pulling a pillow over my head as well as the blanket.
"It's already 9:30, Elsa. I did tell you not to stay up all night, didn't I?" she asked, sitting down on the bed and moving the pillow so she could see my face.
"But Dad was watching it too!"
"And if your Dad jumped off a plane, would you as well. Wait, not don't answer that question," she laughed, pulling the blankets off me.
"And don't go back to sleep," she called out as she walked out of the room.
Sighing into my pillow, I cursed the me from yesterday for staying up so late and having a movie marathon. When I finally rolled out of bed, I slid on my pink cat slippers that my uncle Loki had given me and walked downstairs to the kitchen. My gran was behind the stove, making pancakes when I walked in. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and wished her a good morning before sitting down at the counter.
"Late night, Honey?" she asked, placing a plate of pancakes down in front of me.
"Dad, Danny, Uncle David and I had a Star Wars movie marathon."
"Really? Another one. I'm gonna have to hide those movies from you, now aren't I," she joked with hands on her hip and holding back a laugh.
"I'm sure David has back up to his backups," my Dad said, walking in to the kitchen and kissing me on the head.
When I looked at him, I was happy to see that I wasn't the only one still in pjs. He still had on his white T-shirt and blue with red and white stars pj pants, that where a joke gift from Tony last Christmas. Tony said that they were Captain America themed pjs, therefore he had to have them. As he poured himself his morning coffee and sat down next to me, my Pa walked into the kitchen. He really didn't look old enough to be my Pa, which was kinda funny considering he was the same age as my Dad. His hair still had hints of blonde in it and he looked like he was only in his mid to late 60's even with all the time he spent in the sun working on the farm. He always joked that he must have Asgardian blood as well considering he didn't seem to age like others his age.
"You two still not dressed?" he asked, looking over at us.
"Only just got up Pa," I told him in between yawns.
"We kinda stayed up late watching movies last night," Dad told him as he messed up my already crazy bed head hair.
"You would think that the fact you both have some sort of super soldier serum in you would mean that you wouldn't get tired as much," Pa joked.
"Well, even superhero's get tired," I told him.
"Oh, are you a superhero now Snowflake," Dad asked me, holding back a laugh.
"Yep, didn't they tell you. I'm the new leader of the Avengers."
"Not as long as I'm still breathing," Mum said, walking in the back door.
"Hey, no fair. I could be an avenger! I mean, I already act older than Tony," I protested.
"She has a point, Kimberly," Dad told her, laughing at Tony.
Mum rolled her eyes and shook her head as she sat down on the other side of me, stealing one of my pancakes. When I mock protested, she dropped a small snowball on my head which pretty much ended up in a full-on snowball fight between the two of us. After a few minutes, we were laughing so hard we could hardly move and Gran told us sternly to clean up her kitchen. With a wave of her hand, Mum cleared all the snow leaving not hint of snow behind.
When we all had finished breakfast, I went upstairs and had a shower then got dressed for the day. Pulling on my cowboy boots that matched the pink dress I had on, I walked back downstairs. My blonde curls that I got from my Mum, bouncing with every step I took, making me push them out of my face for what felt like the 100th time that morning.
Walking in to the lounge room, I saw Danny waiting for me and dozing on the couch. Deciding to play a prank on him, I pulled off my boots so I wouldn't make a noise and crept up behind him. After I knew for sure that he's asleep, I create a large snowball and drop it on his head. Jumping up from the cold, Danny looks around to see what had fallen on him. When he heard me laughing, he turned around and glared at me as he sat back down.
Authors note: Look, I know Sterling wasn't 11 when he was in Sonny with a Chance. So, let's just pretend his is.
"Not. Funny. Elsa," he said, trying to get all the snow out of his hair.
"It was and you know it," I said, waving my hand and removing the last little bits of snow out of his hair.
"Okay, it kinda was," he admitted as he laughed.
"So, what do you want to do today, my dear cousin?" I asked, sitting down and pulling my boots back on.
"I don't know, what do you want to do dear cousin."
Uncle David who had just walked in after a morning of working on the farm, rolled his eyes at the two of us.
"You two have spent way too much time with Loki. You're starting to talk like him," he said to us.
"You say that," I started to say.
"Like it's a bad thing," Danny finished for me.
Muttering to himself about how crazy the two of us were, Uncle David walked in to the kitchen to get a cold drink. But we jumped when we heard him yell. Running in to the kitchen at the same time as Mum and Dad, we saw an owl perched on top of Uncle David's head holding two letters in its beak. When it saw us, it flew over and dropped the letters in our hands before flying out the window.
"What the hell was with that owl?!," Uncle David yelled, slamming the window closed.
Neither Danny or me answered. We were looking down at the letter that the owl had given us. Mine was addressed to;
Miss Elsa Margret Rogers
Top bedroom in the Odinson Family Farm
Tennessee, United States of America
When I turned it over, I saw that it was sealed with a wax seal and had a crest on it that had a H in the middle and had the word Hogwarts over the top. Opening the envelope, I found a letter written on thick parchment with what looked like a quill. I had to read the letter twice before a could understand what I was reading and even then I didn't believe it.

I looked over at Danny who had just rereading his letter for the second time.
"A school for," he started to say.
"Witchcraft and Wizardry," I finished.
"No way," We both said at the same time, causing our parents to turn and look at us with their mouths open in shock.
This was definitely going to be interesting.
