Jaemin made his way into the kitchen where he saw Jiyeon staring intently into the fridge.
"I hope you don't mind me using your food." She said when she felt his presence arriving in the kitchen.
"Not at all. Can I ask why you're making food though? Cause you were crying like 5 minutes ago." Jaemin said and Jiyeon sent a small glare his way.
"And you weren't talking 5 minutes ago." She shot back and he simply shrugged at her remark.
"Anyways, I feel bad that I've been nothing but a bitch to you so I'm trying to show you that I'm not just a bitch and wanted to give you an apology meal." She continued and looked over at him, seeing his lips curve into a smile as he hopped onto the kitchen counter, sitting with a straight posture.
"An apology meal? How do you know I'm gonna accept it?" He teased and Jiyeon shrugged before closing the fridge.
"You're not eating then." She simply said and was about to make her way out of the kitchen until Jaemin got of the counter and grabbed her wrist, practically pulling her back to him as a hearty laugh emitted from his lips.
"I'll accept it if you're a good enough chef." He said with a smile as his hand didn't let go of her wrist.
A small blush rose on her cheeks from the contact and she gave him an awkward smile in return before basically pulling her own wrist back and breaking eye contact. Her heart was beating so rapidly it scared her. She let out a shaky breath as she tried to cool down and Jaemin gave her a puzzled expression.
He was confused with her sudden actions and that's when he remembered Kyungmi's words, telling him to be patient with her. As curiosity took course, he began to wonder what exactly happened to Jiyeon to make her act in such a way, as if she was hesitating to trust him.
Jiyeon attempted to continue gather ingredients, redness not cooling down as she realized his eyes were still locked on her, as if he was trying to read right through her. She hoped in her mind that Kyungmi didn't tell him when she had gone to the kitchen.
Jiyeon was one to no longer trust so easily. It became a difficult task after many events in her life. Trusting people would eventually lead to her own pain in life.
She mentally cursed herself for trusting Kyungmi too easily. The little voice in her head was pestering her, calling her an idiot for giving into Kyungmi's words but the other part told her to relax and trust her and Jaemin. The other voice reminded her that they were no longer the people of her past.
The people of her past.
She abruptly stopped in her tracks as she recalled memories. The pain she endorsed and having only Chunhei there to help her. The amount of times she lashed out at people only to lose them not long after. It was difficult for the girl to open up and because of it, many people left her.
Her eyes carefully traveled to meet Jaemin's, taking in every feature of his face from doing so.
Jaemin noticed her and gave a quick smile before reading her expression and realizing that something was bothering her.
As they looked into each other's eyes, Jiyeon gulped down the nervous lump in her throat, trying to rid herself of the invasive thoughts. As she looked, something inside her told her to not let him go. He was her soulmate and she needed him with her.
Her eyes became glassy as she tried settling her thoughts that fought with each other, one telling her to not trust him and he'll just leave like everyone else and cause her even more pain while the other telling her that nothing bad will happen since he was assigned to her by the universe.
Jaemin noticed how she was shaking, her tense figure and slightly wide eyes showed that she was scared.
Carefully, he made his way closer to her and observed as her clearly scared and nervous eyes followed his own.
He stopped right in front of her and opened his arms, watching her flinch slightly and thoughts soared through his mind; he had an idea as to one reason she was so scared to open up and why she called men trash.
With gentle and slow movements, his arms went around her waist in a careful manner. He looked down into her eyes to make sure he wasn't overstepping any boundaries and when he noticed that her tensed arms relaxed, he realized that he was doing something right.
His arms fully engulfed her and he rested his cheek on the top of her head, gently rubbing up and down her back in a soothing manner to assure her that everything was okay and that he wouldn't harm her.
Her stiff arms slowly traveled up to his chest, trembling slightly as she carefully set them on his shoulders. She glanced up at him and realized that he wasn't doing anything but giving her a simple hug.
She let out a shaky breath that tickled his neck and he moved a bit, making her stop and become wide eyed.
His hands continued rubbing the soothing motions as a way to assure her that he was alright and she took that as a cue to calm down again.
Her arms finally linked around his neck and she slowly rested her own head on his shoulder. She felt herself melt at the simple embrace and let out a shaky yet relieved sigh. It took a lot for her to give the hug and she was proud of herself for doing so.
Jaemin held a proud smile on his face and fluttered his eyes closed, enjoying the warmth that emitted from her.
"You don't have to cook. I'd accept your apology either way, even if it was half assed. I'll just order take out for us." He said in a soft voice, not wanting to scare her with his usual voice knowing how vulnerable she was at that moment and time.
"Okay and I'm sorry." She replied, voice slightly hushed as she felt her own body loosen up at his touch. She felt safe around him from the simple hug and her eyes fluttered shut as she enjoyed the moment with him.
A bright light surrounded the two and their tattoos flashed an excited red color. The two stayed in the embrace for a good minute before she finally pulled away and looked up at him with a smile.
"Thank you. And I'm sorry if I become difficult at times. It's just.. rough." She said and he nodded.
"Of course. You're my soulmate, Jiyeon. The universe assigned you to me for a reason. I'd wait for an endless amount of time for you." He replied and Jiyeon felt her own heart flutter at his words. She was thankful for him being so understanding.
Jaemin kept an endearing gaze on her, taking in every aspect of her gorgeous features. He smiled, knowing that their simple hug was one step closer to their eventual fate.
"Let's go order some food and watch movies on the couch." He said and she let out a small laugh with a nod.
"Sounds like a plan."
Buddy watched his two owners, his once sad mood beginning to disappear.
He noticed the two making their way over to the living room and became excited, wagging his tail as he waited beside the couch for them.
The two soulmates sat on the couch, Jaemin handing her a single blanket and grabbing one for himself. He would have shared with her but he assumed that it was probably enough contact for Jiyeon for the day. He didn't want to overstep any boundaries she may have had and Jiyeon was beyond grateful for it.
So now the three sat on the couch, Buddy nestled between the two as they watched TV and waited for their food.
Not long after they ate, the two became tired and with the help of a forceful Buddy, they fell asleep on the bed, separated by a few measly pillows until the two found each other and embraced during their sleep.

"Wait that's cute." One of the boys who watched from the orb said as he saw the two cuddling in their sleep.
"Omg poor Jiyeon." Another said as he saw finally saw her true emotions, a slight guilt for assuming that she was just a bitch for no reason.
"That's not the only problem she had." Another one of the people said as they recalled the moment between Kyungmi and Jiyeon the day before.
"At least we have some kind interactions."
