i nod, agreeing with her.
she sighs deeply, before standing up, slipping on her crocs and grabbing her keys.
"aight friend. i gotta go, business calls. take some time to yourself, okay?" she says walking up to me, kissing my cheek, receiving an i love you in return.
i hear the front door slide open, and shut before i let my breath out, my shoulder immediately dropping.
i look in the mirror for a few minutes.
