Dealing in illegal firearms was easy. It was dealing with the hitman business that got the heros involved. I took on the role of the Yakuza Leader after my grandfather's passing and now am understanding how frustrating they were.
"We recieved info that the number 2 caught word of the docks deal"
I glare down at my goon with disgust, "Care to explain who let the word out of the docks deal?"
"I-i don't know Ma'am" his voice quivered
"Don't know?" I stand, "You don't know? At all?"
"Im so sorry maam! I'm just the messager I swear!"
"Get the fuck out of here" I threaten to kick him before he skittered off.
I smile sitting back. This was fine. It came as no surprise the number 2 found our deal location again. He has been a thorn in my side since before he got the number 3 spot. Though we've never met in person I felt very aquanted with him.
I motioned to my right hand man, "Continue the deal. I have an idea"
Hawk's POV
I drop into the roof of the location. I've been watching for the past hour. It seems both parties arrived and are currently making the arms deal. I focused on my feather i had in there trying to listen in. If I could get some more info I might just have this case FINALLY done.
A hard smack busted my lip forcing me backwards with a skid. I was about to stand back up when a weight sat on my chest knocking the wind out of me. I peeked open an eye looking up to see someone sitting on top of me.
Looking up fully the woman sat on my chest with her heavy boots to each side of my head, her heels on my wings.
"Well aren't you a pretty birdy. You seemed pretty damn distracted just now, did I disturb you?" She removed the lollipop from her cheek before speaking, "Sorry I busted your lip, I just couldn't hold back. I've always wanted to kick your fucking face in"
I raised my hands to grab at her but her heel dug into my wing making me flinch, "Oops. Sorry big guy. I am not playing today. Keep your hands off or I'm gonna make your wings have a true crimson decorate them"
"Usually a guy takes a girl out to dinner before getting between her legs. Wonder what that says about you" I try to get her to drop her guard but she just twisted her heel
"You know I don't think we've met. I hear you are the big bad number 2 but you seem a bit too pretty for a hero. You've been a real pain in my ass for a while now"
She seemed to be going on so I focused back on my feathers. I slowly moved one when the heel stomped back down hard making me yelp.
"I can see your every muscle movement and feel every twitch in your hand sitting here. Don't test me. Didn't your mama ever teach you to listen when a lady was speaking?" she snarled
I relax rolling my eyes, I know she can't feel my feathers move but I figure she can see when I concentrate. I need a new plan. I don't even know her quirk or who she is.
A rough hand grabbed my jaw forcing me to make eyecontact with her, "You aren't gonna mess with my gang right lil bird?" Her thumb ran over my bottom lip spreading the bit of blood from where it busted. The pain as she ran over it caused me to mentally grimaced at but I showed no emotion. I wouldn't give her the satisfaction.
Readers POV
Fuck, no one told me he was hot. I almost felt bad hurting him. His lips looked so kissable and were surprisingly soft under the pad of my thumb. I almost regretted busting it. Let alone the body of a hero was no joking matter. The defiant look in his eye just made it hotter.
He knew pain, but he obviously had been trained to deal with it. This hero would cause issues if he continued against us but in this state I had the upper hand. I just needed to convince him to not fight us. A show of force worked in most cases but I think this one will be different.
Any idiot can do pain, I have something else up my sleeve. I suck my pop for a second before taking it back out. My fingers moved to his cheeks pressing him to open his jaw. He snarled and fought only for a second before I got it open and placed the flavored sweet in his mouth.
His look held a lot of confusion as a light flush dusted his cheeks, "Not gonna lie, I don't feel like killing you. If I do that I'll have every hero in Japan on my ass. So let's keep this little rivalry between us" I lightly boop his nose, "If you do that I promise I won't hurt any civilians and drop my mercenary dealings. Deal?"
His expression was still defiant. He locked eyes with me before cracking the candy between his teeth. I let my grin spread across my face once I saw him swallow the pieces spitting out the stick.
The look of defiance turned to confusion before sudden realization, "What did you do to that lolipop?"
"What ever do you mean? You watched me suck on it myself" I rolled my eyes, "Not my fault you ate it like an animal"
"You mothe-"
"Shhhh" I pressed a finger to his lips, "You should calm down or you're going to make this so much worse for yourself. Such a potty mouth. Your fans worship the ground you walk on, you think they'll continue if they knew what you were really like?"
I stood fixing my jacket. He stood up but stumbled slightly. His eyebrows were furrowed but he didn't seem to give up. Feathers moved as if to attack me but they glided softly twirling in the air. It was almost pretty.
His hand ran through his hair as he gripped his head starting to stumble again this time quickly losing balance. I pulled him forward letting him lean on me lazily.
"What did... what did you do to me kid?" He slurred slightly resting his head on my shoulder
"You did this to yourself. It's a relaxer agent. In small doses it helps you stay calm, keeps you relaxed, and can keep your spirit up. When taken and ingested in a larger dose it completely relaxes the muscles. Makes all worries go away but can make you weak"
"Fuuck" he drawled. He started to sway so I grabbed his sides to keep him steady. His head slid to look at my hands, "W...what the hell"
"My offer still stands. You obviously can't beat me in this condition"
His hand found their way to my upper arms trying to hold himself as he lifted his head.
"Just say yes pretty bird, keep this deal between us. I'd hate to have to kill you. Especially when you are so sweet like this"
He seemed to give up on supporting himself completely leaning into me. His arms moved to lazily hang off my shoulders and I could see his wings slump down. Finally I felt him slowly nod.
"Aren't you a good boy" I slowly moved us down to the ground so he could lay down his head resting on my thighs rather than having to support his weight
He squinted angrily. He didn't have the energy to give an angry look so it just came out as a half assed angry squint, "Im on my wings"
"Well why did you lay on them?" I unwrap a new pop for myself.
"I can't fucking move" I watched his wings ruffle the slightest bit as he tried. The harshness in his words contrasted the soft slur in his voice.
"Teaches you a lesson on sharing doesn't it" I smirk down at him. I could hear the heavy metal doors slam below meaning everything was wrapped up, "Looks like we are done here. I really thought I was going to kill you, I'm glad we could make this agreement"
He grunted as a response. I could only stiffle a laugh watching every blink take longer until his eyes didn't open again.
I felt particularly nice tonight folding up my jacket and placing it under his head before I left.
It was nice having the warmer weather come in. I was able to get back on the motor bike places.
The one problem is I am being watched. Monitored is the better name for it. My quirk allows me to know exactly where people are, and their exact movements within a certain distance as long as it's active. If i use it to much i get headaches so i like to have my relaxer pops. I only knew of one person with wings who would dare follow me.
Every time I left the base it seemed like he was there. I turned down the alley and abruptly stopped.
"Come on down pretty bird, you know I'm flattered you wanna see me but it's not very fair if I can't see you"
A mass of red feathers dropped down before revealing the proud owner of the plumage.
"You've been tailing me for a long while. I don't appreciate it"
"Making sure you keep your nose out of trouble" he leaned on the wall
"Well as you have probably noticed I kept my end of the deal. So are you here to pick a fight?"
"Just checking in" he had a carefree smile
"You've been watching me a lot more than that excuse covers"
"Come on kid, I take a pretty big risk trusting you"
"Aw, you trust me?" I smile cheekily, "What bull shit, if you did you'd fuck off"
"I can't leave a Mob boss running around the streets unchecked, especially when you refuse to take your guards"
"They get in the way. I can take care of myself. Besides, you are one of the very few who know my identity. Trust"
"Fine, trust. I still find it annoying that this is the second time I've met you after fighting your damn goons for so long"
"They held you off pretty well. Its rare for me to have to step in"
"Should I be flattered?"
"What the hell do you want? I'm getting sick of the idol chit chat. I have shit to do" I deadpan
"I don't know. If I'm being honest"
"Whats the fucking point of you being here than? To annoy me?"
"You were so much better when you felt bad about kicking me in the face" he looked away
My curiosity was piqued. The pro hero ruffled the feathers of his wings a few times focusing on the ground. Was this a form of embarrassment? I could just eat this up.
"And why is that pretty bird?" I took note of the twitch in his wings at that name
"You weren't being such a bitch" he cleared his throat
I grab his coat collar bringing him close. I could watch his Adam's apple bob as he gulped, "A bitch huh? I could smash your face into the wall if I wanted but look at you, you are just acheing for someone to put you in your place in a different way. Huh, pretty bird"
He collected himself quickly plastering on a carefree smile, "You're pretty cute if you think you could handle me baby bird. I could have you on your knees in a heartbeat"
"You've put thought into this, think about this often?"
"Don't flatter yourself. You brought it up"
"For a hero you sure are a fucking prick"
My back hit the brick wall harshly. His hand slamming and pressing my shoulder into it, "You're still fucking breathing aren't you, kid? I'd say that's pretty damn nice with all the bullshit you've put me through"
I could only stare into his honey eyes. He was intense. "I hate your fucking face" I mutter
He cackled shaking his head, "You aren't fooling anyone kid" he leaned in ghosting his lips over mine, "I can see that look in your eye"
I lean forward to meet his lips but he pulled back before they could connect.
"Just a needy little thing aren't you? A Yakuza Leader trying to get it on with a hero" I could hear the laugh in his tone making my utter embarrassment worse. He leaned in to mutter in my ear instead where I could feel his hot breath "Don't worry little bird, I'll see you again soon"
He took to the skys in an instant out of sight. My legs felt like jelly as I slid down the wall to sit on the ground.
