I walked up the front door of the Cloud Tower.
In Valtor's office.
I looked at the books in the shelves.
Then i heard someone walking in.
Valtor "Echo, I didn't except to see you here"
I shook my head, turning to him "please, drop the surprise act, Valtor. you knew I was here the second I set foot on the property. "
Valtor nodded "What do you want?"
I shook my head "I am not here looking for a fight"
Valtor nodded "I know"
Then he walked over to his desk and leaned against it "but still, I am curious, why are you here... in the lion's cave?"
Me "Because you sent me a message. "
Valtor eyed me "you could have said no, yet you came. "
I nodded.
Valtor "but sending a message wouldn't have been necessary since you would've come either way. because you need something from me"
I sat down on the chair in front of him "I just lost my friend. she sacrificed herself to close an uncontrollable portal that you opened"
Valtor "I am sorry for your loss. "
I shook my head, scoffing "no, you're not "
Valtor "I told you once that I am only taking back what's rightful mine, Echo, but if people – "
I shook my head, angry "no, don't you dare call Tecna collateral demage"
He didn't say anything.
Me "she was my friend - a friend who died as hero. Now, why did you want to see me?"
Valtor "because I want to convince you to fight for me...not against me "
I scoffed, shaking my head "wow... wow...no"
Valtor "name me one reason"
Me "I can name you 327 reasons "
Valtor "think about it, Echo, the power you and i would have together"
I looked down.
Valtor "but you've heard that speech before , haven't you? From Lord Darkar"
I looked at him surprised, just to see him smirking.
Valtor "Like I said, The Trix had a lot of things to say about you"
Me "so you know about Dark Echo?"
Valtor nodded "Yes, and I am a fan of her. But I am also a fan of the Echo that's sitting right in front of me"
I nodded "I get to hear that a lot"
Valtor smirked, eying me "of course you do"
Me "what do you know about my parents? The King and Queen of Domino "
Valtor shrugged "not much, if I'm being honest"
I rolled my eyes.
Valtor "but I could help you find out the truth"
I smirked "let me guess, but only when I start working with you"
He nodded.
I shook my head "Valtor, I will never betray my friends – the people I care about. I might not be a perfect fairy like the rest of my friends, but I know what loyalty means. "
Valtor "a shame your prince didn't think about treating you with the same loyalty you treated him with"
I clenched my jaw "only because you cursed him!"
He shook his head "I didn't curse anyone"
I shook my head "no, you didn't. You gave Diaspro the love potion which she used to break my heart."
Valtor "it was her decision to use it. I never forced her hand, Echo"
Me "Because you knew damn well that she would use it!"
Valtor smirked "yet, I gave her an option out. "
I looked down.
Valtor "the fact he even accepted a drink from her while he was on his way to introduce you to the world is disrespectful. do you think he's worth your tears?"
I looked at him "I love him"
Valtor "you love a man who lied to you – a man who would have rammed a sword through your back ..... who tried to slit your throat if it wasn't for your sister saving you. "
Me "life is not always easy."
Valtor "but as your partner he should at least try to make it easy for you and not complicate things even more"
I eyed him "if you hit me now with the "all I'm saying you could have a husband", I promise you, I will burn this whole school to ashes"
Valtor smirked "all I am saying is that you won't have those problems if you'd agree to work with me."
I clenched my jaw, standing up "I came here to find out more about my parents but since you can't tell me anything... i better leave"
Valtor challenged "aren't you gonna end this conversation with a fight ?"
Me "like I said, I didn't come here to fight. I came to talk"
He nodded.
I walked to the door.
Valtor "so it looks like I have to get rid of your little girl group to make you join me"
I froze but didn't turn to him.
Valtor "Starting with Flora, trapping her in a world with dead ground because nothing grows in death. Next on is Musa, I will gladly lock her in a little bubble without any noise. You and I both know that she wouldn't survive long. The Princess of Andros will be surrounded by nothing but fire. The Fairy of Light Stella, I don't think she'll make it far in the darkness"
I balled a fist.
Valtor "how do you think would little Bloom feel being trapped in the water – the element that's the complete opposite of her power"
I felt a fireball forming in my fist "you're provoking me"
Valtor chuckled "and it's working. "
I turned to him.
Valtor "I will gladly let you watch while I tear your dearest prince to pieces "
I threw the fireball at him but the easily moved out of the way.
Valtor rushed over to me and trapped me against the wall.
I looked at him.
Valtor put a hand on my cheek and drove his thumb over my lower lip "but you know what would be even better than that? When I make you tear him apart"
I could see the flames erupting in my blue eyes is in the reflection of his grey eyes.
Then I slapped his hand away "you leave him alone. You will leave my friends alone and you will not sent the Trix after them either. "
Valtor chuckled "what? Are you really that convinced that you can protect your little friends? Echo, you couldn't even protect your own planet. They will fall just like Domino did"
I let out a scream of fire power.
Valtor got thrown back.
And my whole body got covered in flames.
I looked at my hands confused "what?"
I looked at myself and froze "oh my god. Oh my god."
Valtor stood up, shocked.
I smiled sweetly before throwing fire at him.
Valtor created a force field around him and the fire balls got thrown back at me "You think you're gonna win, little fairy? "
He attacked me but I moved out of the way.
I threw a huge energy ball at him which made him flew against the shelves.
Valtor stood up amused.
I asked angrily "what's so funny?"
Valtor "you fight like Marion. Your birth mother. the Queen of Domino"
I froze "My birth mother? you said you didn't know what happened to them?"
Valtor chuckled "you didn't really think i was telling the right, did you?"
I glared at him "what do you know about her?"
Valtor "i was the one who beat her. Your birth parents, Oritel and Marion, created the Company of the Light. a group of sorcerers and soldiers who fight for the magic Dimension. "
I created a fireball in my hands.
Valtor "you wanna fight or do you want to know about Marion and Oritel?"
Then he shot me a look.
I sighed and turned back to normal.
Valtor "i met your parents when i was still a young sorcerer and working for the ancestral witches. I was your parents opponent in their last fight. first i captured Marion with a spell. King Oritel went to help her. Your father's very powerful. I wouldn't have been able to beat him if he hadn't concentrated on saving your mother. While he used every ounce of magic he had to save his lover...i sent them into the forgotten world. "
A tear rolled down my cheek.
Valtor smirked "and that's the end of the story of how i ended the king and Queen of Domino. Thank you for paying attention, Echo"
I felt my whole body being hugged by fire.
Valtor "go ahead. Show me what you got. do it for the King and Queen of Domino! For Oritel and Marion!"
I let the fire free and it attacked Valtor but he created a spell to turn the fire into ice.
Everything went black.
at Alfea. In Faragonda's office.
Faragonda yelled "have you completely lost your mind, Echo!?"
Me "I had him, Faragonda, if you had given me five more minutes - "
Faragonda "then you would have been dead!"
Me "I could have beaten him!"
Faragonda "Alone? It was four against one! Don't be foolish, Echo"
Me "I activated my Enchantix"
She looked at me surprised "what?"
I nodded "I was able to trigger my Enchantix without saving one of my people"
Faragonda "willpower"
I nodded "yes. Bloom was able to get her Enchantix when she saved me but because I carry the dominate part of the dragon flame it wouldn't let me transform into Enchantix by just saving my sister"
Faragonda nodded.
Me "It's rare, isn't it? Triggering a new fairy mode just with willpower"
She nodded.
I let out a deep breah "I was strong enough. I was strong enough to take him down but I let my anger take the best of me"
Faragonda nodded.
Me "are you mad?"
Faragonda sighed "what were you even doing at Cloud Tower, Echo?"
Me "Valtor wanted to see me. And I wanted to talk to him"
Faragonda "about what?"
Me "About my parents"
Faragonda "what did he tell you?"
Me "something i am still trying to figure out if it was just another one of his lies or.... the truth"
Faragonda "and why did he request to see you?"
I looked down.
Faragonda "Echo?"
I looked at her "do you trust me?"
She nodded.
Me "then please, don't ask me about it"
She nodded.
Me "so, how hard is my punishment gonna be?"
Faragonda "Echo, what you did was incredible stupid and dangerous"
I nodded "I know"
Faragonda "but we have other problems to take care of right now"
I looked at her confused "what happened?"
Faragonda "the Winx and the Specialists went on a rescue mission."
My jaw dropped "to the Omega Dimension?"
Faragonda nodded.
I froze "Tecna"
She nodded "We haven't heard from them since they left last night"
I nodded "I'll get them back, Faragonda, I promise"
Faragonda smiled "i know"
I saw an aircraft landing in the courtyard.
Then I walked over to the window and sighed when i realized who was driving.
I breathed out annoyed "of course it's him"
Faragonda "you have to talk to him at some point, Echo. "
Me "He tried to kill me twice. Thanks to his actions my sister got her Enchantix but come on......"
Faragonda "he wasn't himself"
Me "yet when I close my eyes I see the man I love trying stab me in the back "
Faragonda "forgive him"
I scoffed, shaking my head.
Faragonda "forgive him. Just like he forgave you when you were cursed"
I looked at her but then I looked down.
Faragonda walked up to me "I know it's hard, but at some point you have to talk to each other. "
I looked out to the ship "I will bring the Winx and the Specialists back home, Faragonda"
Faragonda nodded "I have no doubt in that, Echo"
I smiled at her.
